hotwax: but its true. Regardless of any political party we support, its obvious we made a grave mistake in 2015.
This man set us back. The corruption going on is next level, next level of stealing. When they steal and you criticize, they use DSS to lock you up.
Criticize them and get lockedup. Thats what corruption next level is all about.
What about the massacre in the North?
We are now running a loan economy.
Even if u hate Jonathan, things wasnt this bad. It was bad, but an attempt to curb it, we ran from frypan to fire.
modified:
The money Buhari has stolen will be more than Abachas.
Just wait for years to come, everything will be thrown wide open when leaks start coming out.
Because the buhari we know can't be boxed to one corner, how come he suddenly became a dead beat allowing corruption to take over his government. He must also be involved or has one skeleton in his cupboard.
You know the skeleton?
yes yes...Abacha looted funds through PTF, and buhari was the DG of PTF. You see what I am seeing?
You see how they scam Nigeria with saint/mr integrity/sai baba
You see why APC is trying to make abacha look like hero? You see why buhari was desperate to become president, just because he knows how much he looted for abacha?
You see why Buhari came out to say abacha did not steal any money? Abacha did not actually steal any money, it was buhari doing the stealing back then, in the name of abacha.
Nigerians did not scrutinize him in 2015. They were scammed. I blame Jonathan for this mess I agree with u completely. This administration is a weird and sinister one. The most useless administration in the history of mankind. Even if Jonathan's administration wasn't that okay, this one is miles and galaxies and supernovas away in terms of lies, ineptitude, directionlessness, etc. Dont even know what to call it. |

No one knows the whereabouts of Abacha's loots, COVID-19 'billion' donations have disappeared without a trace, VAT increase and the clueless government has resolved to further dwindle the country's resources by funding oil exploration in the North, all for what?

boookworm: You guys are just missing the whole point of my submission...
I'm not saying we should ignore the disease or pretend it away! The same way you can't treat the other infectious diseases with levity, all because you have treatment options... Even cholera and dysentery wreck mortal Havocs now and again to local communities; Malaria is still a threat to most parts of the developing world.
Like I told someone else up there, this virus should and can be contained while our lives go on... The past few months have done far more damage than you can imagine to people's lives; some will never recover financially, emotionally, and psychologically!!!
Even the hardest hit nations have started returning back to their lives, not because they have fully or even properly contained the virus. It's because they have told themselves the bitter truth: We can't hide away from the virus any longer!!! The world cannot continue like this ma!!!... The universe cannot, and will not survive continuous lockdown!!!... This is the hard cold truth!!!... Learning to live and survive with the virus is the current way forward!!!
Some of you here in Nigeria are yet to have a serious reality check! Hmmm... I feel sorry for a lot of you!!! Maybe it's because your lives are largely cushioned or have always been cushioned!!!.. But, that wall of financial security that gives some of us the leeway to keep advocating indoor living will not last! It can never be sustainable!!!... Soon, even the wealthy will join in condemning further lockdown and movement restrictions...

Angelfrost: I'm well versed in pathophysiology and epidemiology...
Covid-19 is just another viral respiratory disease... All these noises are due to its being novel, global spread ( no thanks to the idiocy and insensitivity of globetrotters), virulence (which is not quite strange if we are to be honest).
In any case, the world is tired of running scared and hiding indoors!!!.. The disease is not going anywhere, any time soon. Wise nations are beginning to shift focus to more pressing issues like SURVIVAL (Economic Survival no less)!!!... Widespread poverty and hunger will do far more harm than any deadly virus ever will. Look at Lagos. They are living with it but the spread is increasing daily. Lassa is something we know the source and is even restricted to certain places. People keep saying malaria. U cant compare malaria to COVID19. The symptoms and complications of COVID19 are so many |
Health › Re: 389 New COVID-19 Cases, 116 Discharged And 5 Deaths On May 27 - (1422 Tested) by blowjohn(m): 6:54am On May 28, 2020 |
Angelfrost: Doesn't matter... There has never been, and there will never be an effective lockdown in this third world nation!!!
We just have to add Covid-19 to our very long list of ailments and age long diseases: Malaria, Polio, influenza, typhoid, Lassa Fever, Hepatitis, Tuberculosis, Leprosy, Diabetes, etc... We have survived and thrived with them for centuries, another virus has not and will not make any difference!!! U think COVID19 is lassa or hepatitis or tuberculosis or diabetes or malaria? Better check again! |

eyinjuege: Respiratory compromise is an emergency, and so is cardiac compromise. Someone came with respiratory compromise which in a matter of time will lead to cardiac compromise anyway (if you don't control it- that's why they give oxygen, even put on ventilators etc). You now use your chloroquine to kuku add the cardiac compromise with your own hands, not even waiting for the respiratory problems to lead to the cardiac arrest. That's a double whammy on the patient na.
The trial was on patients on hospital admission.
Nobody is admitting mild cases, so you can take that out (except in Nigeria's isolation centers where they keep almost all covid patients so they don't infect others in the community whether mild or moderate disease) Those on admission will be those with the moderate to severe forms of the disease. Covid has been known to make the blood clot more for sometime now, but Blood thinners are normally routine anyway for almost all patients on hospital admission regardless if its covid that brought you or a urine infection and some places discharge them home on these blood thinners too. Let me ask u, the other thousands of people that have been saved by chloroquine, including a Democrat, what do u have to say about that? Dont let those figures fool u. They are exergerrating so many things. Chloroquine mayvhave its demerits but it's not as bad as they are making u think it is. Many doctors have come out to prove this. It's all over youtube |

eyinjuege: When you give someone with respiratory compromise from covid chloroquine, you will cause ventricular arrhythmias. A quicker way to cause cardiorespiratory arrest You have reduced his chances of survival by simply giving him the chloroquine. Of course not everyone will have these heart changes, but what are you trying to prove by exposing someone really sick to a potentially fatal side effect? Did u get my point? Isn't respiratory compromise a medical emergency? Have u factored other complications such as clotting in? I saw the 27 percent death rate, but they didnt tel is if those death rates involved those with mild and moderate symptoms. |
