PoliticsWhy Aren't There More Civil War Monuments? by Blue3k(op):
It's weird there's few civil war monuments. There's nothing stopping any tier of government from dedicating a street, erecting statues or teaching history of the event. The controversy shouldn't be a big excuse when figures like Dan Fodio have a university named after them. In the United states there's lots of confederate monuments still around despite being controversial.

What's most interesting is how former eastern region states like Imo have none. The state build statues to commemorate African leaders and left out civil war figures. The national war museum in Abia could be counted as civil war museum.

He never said that poor men shouldn't marry more than a wife... He maintained that, if they do not have the capacity to cater for their needs...

This isn't only applicable to the Muslims, but to everyone...

Only illiterates will birth a child and send them to the street to beg to survive.....
Facts, they only people who see this guy as hypocrite on this issue either dont know his argument or dont know what hypocrisy means. I think most people even Kano agreed with him. Daily trust video shows this opinion wasn't too controversial. It's his legal proposal solution that was controversial years back.

I know of a farmer in the North who has four wives, 52 children. I hear he's planning to divorce the four wives cause they are now old, so he can marry four new wives.

Ask me if those children are on school, they are not.
Lol I blame the woman 1st and their friends and family 2nd if they didnt warn her. If you see this guy has nothing to offer and not taking care of his business why did you marry him. Its not a crime to wait for better a option.
PoliticsRe: Is Sanusi II Hypocritical About Polygamy? by Blue3k(op): 8:08pm On Mar 11, 2020
I think his general point is right for men. Dont burden yourself till you're financially stable. The issue comes with passing legislation on the matter like he suggested. It also ignores factors like the wife(s) working. Other than that the family still has to plan finances accordingly.
PoliticsIs Sanusi II Hypocritical About Polygamy? by Blue3k(op):
Sanusi's quote:

“It’s a total misconception of Islamic law for people to think that you have the right to marry more than one wife and not be able to maintain them. It’s not a blank cheque. You can’t just produce children and leave them on the streets begging and out of school.”

Source
Sanusi's arguments:
• Poor men shouldn't marry multiple wives.

• Men should only marry number of women and rear children they can afford to maintain.

• polygamy is ok under certain conditions.

Hypocrisy: the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.

Verdict: Sanusi isn't a hypocrite.

Muktar said that the banishment of Sanusi was not part of the decision of the Kano State Government.

He also stated that Sanusi was not removed because of the corruption probe but strictly because of insubordination.
Oh well we see if the judge believes you.

Where are the pictures of them schools? ...Stop telling lies. Ain't no almajiri schools, maybe that was what GEJ intended but that was not what was on ground.
Susu888:
Just like the many projects of pdp it was just for show nd to have something to milk the treasury with but none of the acclaimed schools ever did function (that's if it were properly built in the first place)
If there's no schools how can there be dilapidated schools? In one breath you say there's none in another the schools schools exist but didnt function. You should pick a narrative and stick with it.

Pictures of dilapidated almajiri schools:

Lol back to square one because Nigeria learn the first time. Almajiris were covered under UBEC yet they did next to nothing for them. They should also tell the police to enforce laws against child abuse.

most of them being Almajiri roaming the streets of our major cities in Nigeria begging for alms and food.”
Why is the koran the only thing you have to turn your kid into a beggar to learn?
PoliticsSenate Seeks Revival Of Almajiri Schools Built By Former President Jonathan by Blue3k(op): 12:31am On Mar 11, 2020
The Senate is seeking the revival of Almajiri schools built by former President Goodluck Jonathan, just as it said there is need to integrate Almajiri education into modern educational system in the country.

This is even as Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has lamented that out-of-school children is a big challenge facing Nigeria as a nation.

Specifically, Lawan insist that the problem has constituted both social and security challenges to the country.

The Senate position was revealed in a motion on “The Need to Integrate Almajiri Education into Modern System of Education in Nigeria.” It was sponsored by Senator Adamu Aliero (APC – Kebbi Central).

According to Aliero, “We have more than 14 million out-of-school children, most of them being Almajiri roaming the streets of our major cities in Nigeria begging for alms and food.”

He noted that the past administration of Goodluck Jonathan embarked on a laudable project by building Almajiri integrated model schools in which the Almajiri children were enrolled and given both Islamic and Western education.

However, Aliero lamented that currently, “some of the structures are either laying fallow or put into uses other than what they were originally intended for and some of the facilities in the Almajiri Model Schools are already decaying as they have never been put to use.”

He further  insisted that Almajiri happens to be one of the persons covered by the UBE Act 2004, for the purpose of provision of basic education.

Meanwhile, Lawan said “We all know that the out-of-school-children are at the moment a big problem to us as a country.

“They constitute not only social problems, but also security problems to some  extent.

“Therefore, it is our responsibility to do whatever we can to ensure that they are enrolled in primary and secondary schools,” he stated.

In his contribution, Senator Sabi Aliyu Abdullahi (APC – Niger North) emphasised that the quest to address the problem of out-of-school children should one of the major legislative agenda of the Ninth Senate.

The fact that Gandollar destroyed the age long Kano Emirate just to get back at Sanusi will come back to hunt him. He will soon have serious problems with the new Emir and Kano people.
Lol he'll just rally the party to abolish the monarchy. Seriously the next king will be deposed if he tries nonsense. The people didnt do anything when Gandolla split the Emirate. They have bigger issues than a traditional institution.

So Nigerians are asking to be spoonfed?

Lending rate is 25%, power supply is epileptic, Apapa ports are a nightmare for importers, the government has shut the borders, more goods are being banned and you say Nigerians are expecting to be spoonfed?

People are trying to find one means or the other to survive such as Okada's and tuktuks and government's are banning them left right and center.

The economy is barely growing 2% per Annum. No matter how hard Nigerians try, the forces against progress even with their best efforts is challenging.

Nigerians aren't asking to be spoonfed. On the contrary, they ask for too little but this government policy is always putting them down.

Look at car importation. A once thriving sector and government slams a 70% import duty on it. They have now turned many into smugglers.
The unemployment stats are expected to be released tomorrow. We'll see if Buhari improved the economy like they say. I predict the unemployment rate to raise since that's been the trend since he entered office.
PoliticsRe: Why Sanusi Was Removed As Kano Emir – State Government by Blue3k(m): 4:09pm On Mar 09, 2020
Lol its time for Sanusi to start his podcast f he really cares about the issues. The first episode should be about Gandolla. Invite the newspaper and contactor who broke the story and talk for an hour or two. People can ask questions to make more interesting.

Witcher:
Politricking... Ganduje just made a grave mistake Kano people right now are fed up with APC.. he should expect Attacks from angry youths
Lol they'll go to jail if they're caught. Kano people have bigger issues than a traditional institution. They didnt care much about the emirate being split after all.

Lol episode one if the podcast should be him talking about gandolla's money stuffing. Invite the newspaper and contactor who broke the story snd talk for an hour or two. That's what I'd do if I were in his position.

All he has to worry about now is they lawsuits that could still be filed against him. They choose to femove him on little technicality since it's much easier thst going to court for years.

PoliticsRe: Greater Akwa Ibom > Akwa Cross: Akwa Ibom should annex parts of Cross River by Blue3k(op):
Beachside:
Firstly ,It is not wise to use the word "Annex",instead of Merge . Using "Annex" ,you are implying Akwa ibom has any might or is better than Cross river , which is false. Akwa ibom's tangible development like the rest of Nigeria is minuscule and Unsustainable. The entire Nigeria including Akwa ibom is underdeveloped third world.
Oil will be obsolete within the next 9 years. Life expectancy of roads are 10 to 20 years. poor maintenance, etc.
Lol what this beggar rambling about? Nobody want's to merge with the clown budget state. Akwa Ibom is better is some metrics factually. GDP, poverty rate, infrastructure etc. Akwa Ibom is a better investment destination when as poven by FDI. Annex is the correct word so stop whining.

You never give up on your mumu predictions are slways hilarious. Oil going to obsolete in a decade just like natural gas right? Coss River still reeling in pain over losing it's oil fields. The rest is simply baseless conjecture and opinions.

BusinessRe: Apappa Port 10 times more expensive than Ghana and South Africa by Blue3k(op): 8:03pm On Mar 06, 2020
The Nigerian government has attempted reforms at the Apapa port, including mandating 24-hour operations and attempting to clamp down on entrenched bribery
Osinbajo executive orders failed to do anything substantial. Nigeria drags its feet befire doing anything like improving rail transport to ports. Even after the government builds more ports and rails they still have to run it effectively or they'll be back to square one.

It now surpasses Lagos as the leading port by container traffic in West Africa.
Its pretty impressive how they do more with less.
