It's weird there's few civil war monuments. There's nothing stopping any tier of government from dedicating a street, erecting statues or teaching history of the event. The controversy shouldn't be a big excuse when figures like Dan Fodio have a university named after them. In the United states there's lots of confederate monuments still around despite being controversial. What's most interesting is how former eastern region states like Imo have none. The state build statues to commemorate African leaders and left out civil war figures. The national war museum in Abia could be counted as civil war museum. Front page: Lalasticlala mynd44 |
yanabasee:Facts, they only people who see this guy as hypocrite on this issue either dont know his argument or dont know what hypocrisy means. I think most people even Kano agreed with him. Daily trust video shows this opinion wasn't too controversial. It's his legal proposal solution that was controversial years back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJcr03EVduQ |
Romanoff:Lol I blame the woman 1st and their friends and family 2nd if they didnt warn her. If you see this guy has nothing to offer and not taking care of his business why did you marry him. Its not a crime to wait for better a option. |
I think his general point is right for men. Dont burden yourself till you're financially stable. The issue comes with passing legislation on the matter like he suggested. It also ignores factors like the wife(s) working. Other than that the family still has to plan finances accordingly. |
Sanusi's quote: “It’s a total misconception of Islamic law for people to think that you have the right to marry more than one wife and not be able to maintain them. It’s not a blank cheque. You can’t just produce children and leave them on the streets begging and out of school.”Sanusi's arguments: • Poor men shouldn't marry multiple wives. • Men should only marry number of women and rear children they can afford to maintain. • polygamy is ok under certain conditions. Hypocrisy: the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense. Verdict: Sanusi isn't a hypocrite. Front page: Lalasticlala mynd44 |
Muktar said that the banishment of Sanusi was not part of the decision of the Kano State Government.Oh well we see if the judge believes you. |
Susu888: Susu888:If there's no schools how can there be dilapidated schools? In one breath you say there's none in another the schools schools exist but didnt function. You should pick a narrative and stick with it. Pictures of dilapidated almajiri schools: https://wscij.org/remop/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/edu2-450x300.jpg https://i2.wp.com/educeleb.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Slide3.png?resize=1068%2C601&ssl=1https://i1.wp.com/educeleb.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Slide4.png?resize=1068%2C601&ssl=1 |
voltron14: Between December 2010 and May 2015, the Goodluck Jonathan administration embarked on the Almajiri Education Programme which saw to the construction and equipment of 157 Tsangaya (Almajiri) Model Schools across Nigeria. If you have any more questions email the author of the article. Better yet file a FOIA request and get the information straight from the horses mouth. |
Lol back to square one because Nigeria learn the first time. Almajiris were covered under UBEC yet they did next to nothing for them. They should also tell the police to enforce laws against child abuse. most of them being Almajiri roaming the streets of our major cities in Nigeria begging for alms and food.”Why is the koran the only thing you have to turn your kid into a beggar to learn? |
The Senate is seeking the revival of Almajiri schools built by former President Goodluck Jonathan, just as it said there is need to integrate Almajiri education into modern educational system in the country.Source: https://businessday.ng/news/article/senate-seeks-revival-of-almajiri-schools-built-by-former-president-jonathan/

truthfulparrot:Lol he'll just rally the party to abolish the monarchy. Seriously the next king will be deposed if he tries nonsense. The people didnt do anything when Gandolla split the Emirate. They have bigger issues than a traditional institution. |
I dont think he'll win his dethronment case. He'll definitely get his banishment thrown out. Silly primative traditions dont supersede anyones rights. |
They've shifted the date yet again. Agboriotejoye:Why not didn't he get millions of votes in spite of ruining the economy?
|
OP go read your civics and history textbook. You should know traditional institutions are subordinate to state governments. These traditional institutions cant collect taxes without the state government. |
wirinet:They're the same idiots who believed Buhari was getting married last year. It's weird how ready some people are to believe something. |
Litmus:Lol only the mentally challenged believe such an idiotic story. There's too many holes in this story. The clown is simply repeating a story he heard or making it up he goes along. "He was hidden from Abacha in a Sokoto prison for two years after committing this heinous crime whilst all his co-conspirators were summarily executed by the security forces."• Sanusi was hidden inside a prison how? • nobody was arrested for the murder. • There's was no execution. • When did Sanusi's father talk to Abacha? |
Does anyone take this mumu seriously? This clown says anything for attention and gullible morons eat it up. He has zero proof and credibility.
|
Lets see if they actually release the stats tomorrow. Lol it might end up postponing indefinitely since they dont have funds for important stats like crime and unemployment. I'll definitely have my eye out for it.
|
Brunicekid:Did he die or go to jail? He got fired from his job life goes on. |
grandstar:The unemployment stats are expected to be released tomorrow. We'll see if Buhari improved the economy like they say. I predict the unemployment rate to raise since that's been the trend since he entered office. |
Lol its time for Sanusi to start his podcast f he really cares about the issues. The first episode should be about Gandolla. Invite the newspaper and contactor who broke the story and talk for an hour or two. People can ask questions to make more interesting. Witcher:Lol they'll go to jail if they're caught. Kano people have bigger issues than a traditional institution. They didnt care much about the emirate being split after all. |
poiZon:Lol episode one if the podcast should be him talking about gandolla's money stuffing. Invite the newspaper and contactor who broke the story snd talk for an hour or two. That's what I'd do if I were in his position. All he has to worry about now is they lawsuits that could still be filed against him. They choose to femove him on little technicality since it's much easier thst going to court for years. |
State government > Traditional institutions. Take a civics class if you dont understand why. |
It's time for him to start a podcast and continue his rants. They didnt silence him just dethroned him. If he actually cares about the issues he will continue where he left off. |
Let's see if Sanusi will continue rants. He can start a podcast really start exposing things. There's also the possibility of getting into politics. It's doubtful he's popular enough to win. |
Beachside:Lol what this beggar rambling about? Nobody want's to merge with the clown budget state. Akwa Ibom is better is some metrics factually. GDP, poverty rate, infrastructure etc. Akwa Ibom is a better investment destination when as poven by FDI. Annex is the correct word so stop whining. You never give up on your mumu predictions are slways hilarious. Oil going to obsolete in a decade just like natural gas right? Coss River still reeling in pain over losing it's oil fields. The rest is simply baseless conjecture and opinions.
|
SoNature:Nobody is fired for failing. The executive order not being implemented is an example. It's either incompetence or insubordination that stops them. |
Greater Akwa Ibom > Akwa Cross. |
The charge becsuse they're corrupt. The leadership on top is too incompetent to stop them despite the war on corruption. |
The Nigerian government has attempted reforms at the Apapa port, including mandating 24-hour operations and attempting to clamp down on entrenched briberyOsinbajo executive orders failed to do anything substantial. Nigeria drags its feet befire doing anything like improving rail transport to ports. Even after the government builds more ports and rails they still have to run it effectively or they'll be back to square one. It now surpasses Lagos as the leading port by container traffic in West Africa. Its pretty impressive how they do more with less. |
