Sirjamo:You cant raise the dead but you can save the living. If you want to speak on them and the other thousand that died if you please. Remember the dead in war are mourned, buried then a maybe monument is made after the war is won. They're precious commodity because the government pays to rescue them. If the government defeats them or secures area then they dont have worry about this issue. As said go rescue the captives if you want the protest to stop. Dont just whine about the mother. Pick you gun go kill some jihadists if you want her to shut up useless internet warrior. |
Sirjamo:Internet commando go rescue her daughter then she wont be protesting. The government has failed to so along with the many other captives held by the technically defeated jihadist. Lol boko haram has been using this strategy for half a decade. This isnt new information for them. |
itsme01:Excuse mongering is cultural at this point. If they foreigners why didnt they deport them? All he's admitting is they condone criminality. Even the state governors make the same sort of excuses saying these children come from neighboring states and other countries to beg. The commissioner said the increasing population of out-of-school kids in the state was due to the porous borders and subsequent influx of children hawkers from Niger Republic and Benin Republic. Kebbi is bordering two countries and there is influx of their children in the country. When it is rainy season, you won’t see them. They would have gone back for farming. |
As it is today, it is common knowledge that most states depend on a monthly allowance from Abuja to survive. There is also no reason why States cannot generate and distribute electricity and license the same, within their geographical limits.Amend the constitution and or what ever laws govern electricity. As it is today, it is common knowledge that most states depend on a monthly allowance from Abuja to survive. They do that mainly because they refuse to raise their taxes and use it effectively. Most states taxes would be hirer than allocation if they have IGR/tax ratio 10%.

Common sense is reaching there slowly. When parents start going to prison people will learn to be responsible. |
“States should be free to control the drilling of oil and mining of solid minerals and pay the required taxes and royalties to the Federation Account. If you want that amend constitution. Individuals should have land and mineral rights. Section 44 (3) and land use need to repealed to achieve individual mineral and land rights. If the FG gives every tire of government ability to legislate and decide tax policy the rigid allocation system will go away as comprimise. The FG will probably keep more of the money then distribute as it sees fit. |
Discos will simply stop serving those customers until theyre metered. |
Lol nobody has seen any? This is more anecdotal proof these checkpoints are useless. |
Ok give up your seat and endorse them. It's Sahara reporter's so take news with a grain of salt unless the have video. |

MelloJelly:You already know my suggestions. You read my thread about ballot measures. If you dont like the idea go take up arms. This isn't an argument. https://www.nairaland.com/5704281/direct-democracy-improve-nigeria-introducing |
[s] ChybuzzDD:[/s] Lol pussy why you crying on the internet? Go start your revolution if you dont agree my solution. Gather your arms and troops and lead the coup. We both know you're not going to take up arms against the state since you're waiting for someone to do it. You get the leaders you vote for all the time you think every state local and federal election is rigged? The fact is Nigerian pick the two foolish parties with bad policy proposals. Constitutional amendments have happened btw. |
budaatum:Lol you're crying alot of salty tears over this. Go tell Buhari to stop them. It just funny they dont have prisons to hold criminals they catch. If they government wanted they could just refuse anyone arrested by them. |
Go to the public hearing dont just rant online. |
CanadaOrBust:Im not aware of stats based on victims nationality. They only public race, sex age and gender, as far as I know. If you want to know in general you can look crime stats in general. DMerciful:Lol these clowns were educated in the 3rd world. They cant even do basic math to prove their points. Only a mumu cant understands high infant and child mortality rates skew the life expectancy down. It just common sense is common as used to be.
|
Lol whats stopping DICON manufacturing those arms for you? |
MelloJelly:Vote them out you have choices. Vote in politicans that will ballot measure laws. If you really want a bloody revolution go start it instead of talking. Get your guns and gang make trouble till they listen to what ever your demands are. |
[s] Rossinnki:[/s] Lol NBS and UN survey show its underestimated. You're third world stats Bureau sucks at its job. You dont know how calculate per 100k stats so you wouldnt know that. You really believe Nigeria suddenly dropped from having 5.4 per 100k homicide rate to 1.6 in 15 years? Lol you really believe nigeria is as safe as Europe on average? I didnt know you woke propagandist are so gullible. Nigeria is has has a lower murder rate than Canada (1.8 ), Estonia(2.2) Belgium (1.7) etc. Only tsdarkside is dumb enough to swallow your lies unquestioningly. Everyone else has enough common sense to see though such foolish propaganda. In 2004 the World Health Organization reported the homicide rate in Nigeria at 5.4 per 100.000 inhabitants. Data provided by the Nigeria Police Force indicate that there were 2,712 and 2,861 homicides in 2012 and 2013, respectively. However, according to the Federal Ministry of Justice, these data are incomplete since not all States appear to maintain statistics or report on them on a regular and reliable basis. To find out more about homicides in Nigeria, UNODC, in partnership with the National Bureau of Statistics of Nigeria, in 2016 conducted a survey covering more than 33,000 households across all 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. The results of the survey provide strong evidence that the level of lethal violence in Nigeria could be significantly higher than reported to the authorities or estimated based on public health data. On the basis of the survey sample, the annual homicide rate of Nigeria in the period 2013-2016 was estimated at 34 per 100,000 population, corresponding to around 64,000 victims of intentional homicideannually with significant variations across the six geopolitical zones. The total homicide rate was estimated to be the highest in the North-East: 79 per 100,000 population and North-Central: 65 per 100.000. With an estimated 4.4 victims of homicide per 100.000 inhabitants, the homicide rate was the lowest in the South-West.

subtlemee:Lol even you're being serious that's one case out who knows how many checkpoints you've passed through. yanabasee:Can you affirm your state and local institutions dont behave the same way? |
[s] Rossinnki:[/s] Lol everyone knows Nigeria is 3rd world country with unreliable crime stats. Even South africa is more reliable than you excuse mongers. Instead you to admit that basic truth you want tell dumb lies about UN stats being fake when they're cited by your government. You dont know how calculate per 100k stats so you wouldnt know that. You really believe Nigeria suddenly dropped from having 5.4 per 100k homicide rate to 1.2 in 15 years? In 2004 the World Health Organization reported the homicide rate in Nigeria at 5.4 per 100.000 inhabitants. Data provided by the Nigeria Police Force indicate that there were 2,712 and 2,861 homicides in 2012 and 2013, respectively. Rossinnki:Lol typical nigerian excuse mongering. China and US have more people and get it done. You'll say because they're rich. South Africa gets it done they have less people to count. At the end of the day there's always something to blame. |
[s] Rossinnki:[/s] Lol you're just a dense liar as proven by this thread. You're government is just slow at getting stats out. We're in 2020 wait for 2018 stats. Even the south Africa is more competent that NBS theyve already published 2019 stats. The us stats you published for 2018 were made available 2019. It's typical for losers in Nigeria to give a million excuses though. Rossinnki:Lol even with NBS and UN partnership you still have gull to lie. You woke propagandist have no sense. The stats have been unreported as anyone with common sense knows. The curent stats woule make nigeria one safest countries on the world comparable to UK but thats a lie. You dont know how calculate per 100k stats so you wouldnt know that. You really believe Nigeria suddenly dropped from having 5.4 per 100k homicide rate to 1.2 in 15 years? n 2004 the World Health Organization reported the homicide rate in Nigeria at 5.4 per 100.000 inhabitants. However, according to the Federal Ministry of Justice, these data are incomplete since not all States appear to maintain statistics or report on them on a regular and reliable basis. A report published recently by the National Bureau of Statistics put the number of "murders" in 2017 at 3,219. An alternative source is provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) who estimated in 2014 17,059 victims of homicide. In 2017, the National Bureau of Statistics published prison statistics indicating that from 2013 to 2016 an average of 8,264 per year, were imprisoned for allegedly committing homicide. |
[s] Rossinnki:[/s] Lol this circle clown proved my point. The countru hasn't published new stats in two years. What an irresponsible set if clowns at the NBS. Its the same thing they did with unemployment stats. Lol your second point is foolish lie. The data is the same. UN NBS joint survey show it's grossly unreported. To find out more about homicides in Nigeria, UNODC, in partnership with the National Bureau of Statistics of Nigeria, in 2016 conducted a survey covering more than 33,000 households across all 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. [s] Rossinnki:[/s] Lol you're lies have been exposed. I gave you the links you cant even cite any nigerian data becsuse your country hasnt published any in two years clown. They collected the data with assistance from NBS and still whining. The poverty stats also the same ones used by your government but you idioticly claim they're fake. Go to the NBS website you'll see the same numbers punlished. Ps: plaetton called it he's too predictable. Joshthefirst:Lol its pathetic nigeria calls itself the giant of africa but cant even maintain good records like south Africa consistently. The violence and per capita crime rate is much higher than America abd probably some african nations. |
Stop smoking and deal with your stress some other way. |
modsareuseless:Ok have u seen one? |
plaetton:Lol the clown didnt forget to include Nigerian crime stats. He deliberately does this each time he remakes this thread under a new account. If you bring crime stats from un hell claim their lying racist or something idiotic like that. He's just a woke propagandist. |
I've passed by a few dozen I've never seen one person get arrested. The only criminal I see is cop extorting drivers out money. If they do catch anyone once in a blue moon it would be a smuggler, drug dealer or someone with vehicle papers. The latter can bribe their way out of a ticket. I cant recall news reports saying police catch kidnapper or gun dealers at checkpoint. Citytrend:Are you saying you haven't seen it before after crossing hundreds or thousands in your lifetime? |
Police checkpoints in Nigeria do little to nothing to stop crime. If they were so effective why wouldn't they be useful in catching bandits and kidnap victims. The police department just set up checkpoints to collect bribes. Police man power would be better used going on patrol or investigating real crimes. The squeeze isnt worth the juice in regards to the checkpoints. Nigerians should ponder is there statistically less crime per capita in places with more checkpoints? What sort of offenders are usually caught. Has crime reduced as a result of increased check points or some other factor? Lastly have you witnessed someone get arrested at a police checkpoints?
