It's interesting how an expose like this gets absolutely no attention, while if it had been some bogus paranoid rant about "Afonjas" and "Abokis" plotting to keep the SS down, the thread would probably be on its 8th page by now. There's nothing Nigerians hate hearing more than the ugly truth about how they themselves are to blame for their own predicament, by turning every organ of government into yet another vehicle for embezzlement and nepotism.
It's not going to be popular thread because it doesn't have interesting pictures to look at.

Story. No one except the US can faze China. Even the US is getting hit by the trade stand off. No one can intimidate China to be honest with u. Economically they're making the US sweat. Military might they're the largest military force on earth and we all know they have cutting edge technology as well as being nuclear armed with warheads that can reach US mainland and anywhere in the world. Economy power and military might are the two most important components of being a super power and China has it so no one can push them around not even the US or Russia. So Muslim nation's can do nothing but complain and cry
China always inflates its gdp 2%. China's a paper tiger in many ways. The dependence on foreign oil cant be understated just going by simple stats. It could work just like it did in 70's with united states. China is in a worse position since its also leveraged up with corprate debt.

Ths saving grace is they have contingencies mentioned. Then there's other geopolitical issues that would prevent them. These muslim countries can do something but they won't.

He said the fire incidents were politically motivated by the disgruntled politicians, who had vowed to make government unbearable for him.
The governor is worse than nairaland conspiracy theorist. Did the fire department investigations rule it arson? This guy need to just read the scripts his public relations person hands him. Focus about fire safety to avoid future incidents. Partisan blame games are stupid.

PoliticsRe: Could Nigeria Beat Ethiopia's 350 Million Trees In A Day Record ? by Blue3k(m): 8:26pm On Dec 23, 2019
dukeprince50:
the guy is right.
Lemme enlighten you so u won't do same mistake.
Most erosion are caused by surface run off water or wind which sweep the surface of the earth.
One tree won't stop erosion but when you plant many trees, each tree will play a major role in stopping the velocity of the water, with this, before the water will go far, its destructive capacity will greatly be reduced.
Also trees has canopies, which could stop the water from directly hitting the soil to cause erosion.
Wind also can cause erosion but trees do reduce the impact, for instance most beaches has palm trees which reduce the velocity of wind before reaching the closest village.
Farmers who plant on steep land do what is called 'planting across the slope to reduce erosion.
How many times do you hear of forest suffering erosion? Its rare or has never been heard of.
It should be obvious grass and trees hold the soil. The other major issue to address is drainage. Building storm drains and flood control channels. If all these things were done Nigerians would definitely have a higher standard of living.

If buhari allows Niger to dam that river under his watch, then he should be arrested for treason.
He is originally from Niger republic.

Egypt and Ethiopia are about to go to war over the Nile.

There is no way you can tell me that Nigeria cannot stop a shitt hole from damming an essential river in a subregion where we contribute over 70%.

This is where you need a general buhari. Not by insulting the United States.
Lol Nigeria not going to do thing to stop them. They're already working on it. If represents an existential threat to Nigeria if they restrict vital water resources to sustain population. If it did war would be inevitable.

He said: “If Nigeria allows Niger Republic to dam River Niger at Fouta Djullion for her own electricity needs, the country would not be able to export electricity to Niger Republic and that would go a long way to reduce Nigeria’s earnings.”
They're already starting to. You guys are just late to the party. Its dumb of them not to honestly. Even Benin Republic could do it then export any excess they have.

Through this project, Niger intends to increase its electricity supply by an additional 130 MW. The Kandadji hydroelectric dam is built on the Niger River, 150 km from Niamey, the country’s capital.

Start with south simple get legislature out of contracting process for constituency projects. The conflict of interest there is why theres zo much waste and corruption in those areas. The executive should execute those projects just like any normal project.

Anyway it's interesting when you look back and remember the OPEC Nations Embargoed America. I dont know the current arab leaders/ muslim majority leaders are interested in doing thst to China. They could throw China into a recession. The thing is china has a few other options to subsist from like Venezuela, Angola and Iran who need the cash.

FYI: China is holding 1.1 million Uighur Muslims in concentration camps. They're having them eat pork, drink beer, shave their beards and sing communist party songs. I could go on all day about the state backed atrocities.

I'm not trying to sow apathy. These facts need to be known so people can hold leaders accountable. How many people really know any of this going on? Right now they're just ignoring the tiger because the tiger ignores they're faults in return.
PoliticsRe: My Opinion On The Oppression Of Uyghur Muslims In China by Blue3k(m):
They're on their own political and economic interest trump religious. The only Muslim majority country thst spoke out is Turkey. Nigeria wont since China is giving cheap loans. Buhari will reserve his criticism for Myanmar's treatment of Rohingya muslims.

Saudi Arabia is the funniest case. They're giving Chinese tourists visas to enter their country easier. Money talks at the end of the day.

That is the billion dollar question right there.

The Eurocentrics havent changed from the olden days and their crooked ways.

They all seek to trade with themselves, they would rather want to steal from anyone else. i.e embedding various exploitative clauses into their contracts, an unbalanced trade, with the rich countries reaping all the benefits and on their terms.

That is one of the reason that the rich Western countries are getting richer, because all the Eurocentric traders arent paying their fair share into their trading activities with most African Nations.

Let the trade on the continent be at our pace and on our terms.

That's the way it's done internationally.
That's all well and good. Start trading more negotiating better trade deals qnd lastly stop taking their foreign aid. If you're not ready to do last part it's all talk no walk.

France that islamic terrorists have shown pepper will now be the one to sponsor Boko Haram !!!

LMAO I laugh in nuclear powers
I really dont understand why people think stealing resources is preferable to trading. If foreign powers can they'd just trade for it rather than sponsoring a proxy war. Look at china in Africa. They'd rather use predatory loans and bad trade deals with corrupt politicans. Mauritania is the newest example.
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Accuse France Of Sponsoring Boko Haram In Re-colonization Plan by Blue3k(m): 4:18pm On Dec 21, 2019
Btw the former president of Benin said Saudi Arabia fuding boko haram if that matters.

“Boko Haram is funded by our friends from Saudi Arabia and our friends from Qatar. Are we friends or not? Let’s tell ourselves the truth. We have to stand together. I’m optimistic we are going to win if we stand together”
