The landlord is responsible. It's not the tenant's house to make changes to the structure without the landlord's permission. |

Biodun556: If inflation is relegating government revenue. It is normal for government to look inward. That was why they increased VAT and custom duties and this is the result Yes government has to tax more to stay afloat due to their monetary policy. They should take credit for their fiscal and monetary policies. Assuming the Inflation rate is 10% you have to earn 10% more just to maintain current standard. |

“So, if you say it is optional, people may think it is not serious. They would make it optional and they would be reluctant to go. But if you make it compulsory, definitely everybody would go and at least discover something outside his domain.” What a horrible idea giving people free choice on who and when to associate. It should be up to busybodies in the government to make that decision. It's not like colleges, work and vacations give opportunities to meet people outside of your domain. |

NothingDoMe: Oh. Penalty for armed robbery is death in Lagos? Cool. You're crying about this issue without knowing the laws? Weird. BarrElChapo: Section 294 and 295 of the Lagos State Criminal Law 2011, “any person who steals anything and uses or threatens to use actual violence to retain the thing stolen or to prevent or overcome resistance to its being stolen or retained, is said to be guilty of robbery. And anyone who commits the offence of robbery shall on conviction be sentenced to imprisonment for not less than twenty-one years, When the person is particularly armed with firearms or offensive weapons or any obnoxious and chemical materials, such offender shall be sentenced to death.” |

I think that power should be stripped from them since they're not interested in doing their jobs. |

DMerciful: But repentant terrorists are been released and rehabilitated. You see why this country is on her knees?
Armed robbery but the victim wasn't killed. What a joke of a country where certain people are released for killing thousands while someone is condemned to hanging for beer money. Is the auditor general that stole over 90 billion sentenced? OK now you're shifting the goalpost because you were exposed on your first lie. Next time read past the headline if you want to understand what's going on. If you disagree with the judgement or policies thats your business. Instead if assuming to know my positions you can simply ask instead arguing blindly. It seems you just want to rant and argue with someone today out of boredom. Lol I don't agree with death sentence if nobody was murdered in a robbery. I also don't agree with these sweetheart deal for the terrorist. SugarGirl44: So are we practicing federalism now for the country to have 2 different laws? No there is no contradiction. Under federalism, lower tiers of government are allowed to set up their laws and regulations as long as it doesn't violate the constitution. This is why laws and regulations are different when you go from state to state. An example where this isn't true in my opinion is Sharia blasphemy laws because it violates religious freedom. We'll see if I'm correct on that one when it gets to the Supreme Court. |

SugarGirl44: One country shouldn’t be using 2 different laws. SugarGirl44: Run away bawo? I was giving you details ni.
Of course federalism is better than unitary government, but self determination is the best. When your details don't answer the question it's a diversion. The self-determination point has little to do with the first point you made. If you agree with Federalism why are you saying states shouldn't make their laws? You seem to contradict yourself unless you can cite what right is violated or exclusive federal power is infringed under the constitution. |

The slave masters did a crazy job of separating people who should and merging those who should be apart, for their evil of divide and rule. I pray it gets corrected in my lifetime, amen. Is the Constitution of Nigeria not Superior to any other law?
The man should redress any judgement in a mainstream NIGERIA's law court...
Else This is more reason why Nigeria must return to TRUE FEDERALISM where every region should determine their law Have you taken a civics class before? What you're witnessing is federalism in practice. What's unconstitutional about what's going on?Is this an exclusive power under the federal government or violate some right? If you brlieve so cite which one you're referring to. Federalism allows states to make different laws.

The Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has advised Nigerians living in Equatorial Guinea to renew their permits if possible, or apply to come back home to Nigeria if undocumented, to avoid sanctions by the government of Equatorial Guinea.
According to a letter from the office of Nigeria’s Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the African country has warned all undocumented foreigners to “voluntarily leave the country or face deportation.”
Following this threat of sanctions by the authorities in the country, NIDCOM issued a statement yesterday through its head of media, public relations and protocol unit, Abdur -Rahman Balogun, warning Nigerians living in the country of the impending danger if they refused to abide by the country’s directive.
Part of the statement read, “A report by the government of Equatorial Guinea on October 17, 2022 was issued, advising undocumented foreigners in their country to leave voluntarily or face government sanction.
“According to the report, this is aimed at curbing elements of sabotage and creating stability in the country of Equatorial Guinea. The letter also stated that obtaining a one or two-year residence permit by foreigners goes between $410 and $620.
“As a commission committed to the welfare of its citizens, we advise that Nigerians in Equatorial Guinea should renew their permit if possible, or apply to come back home to Nigeria, if undocumented, to avoid sanctions by the government of Equatorial Guinea.” Source: https://leadership.ng/nidcom-urges-undocumented-nigerians-to-leave-equatorial-guinea/ |
