Weather you choose to kill or not what matters to God is adherence to his word the 10 commandments.

Lukuluku69:
My question was: how do you treat it in your Church? There is a punishment prescribe in your bible, do you still carry it out as the muslims do according to their quran? Do you? If no, then why are you saying God's can not be changed?
.

First you fail to understand that God's ten commandments are different from the Levitical laws which prescribed punishment for those who transgressed the 10commandments.

When the adulteress woman was brought Before Jesus to be stoned to death according to the Judicial laws or Levitical laws.
Jesus refused to consent to the demand of the people who wanted to stone the woman rather Jesus offered the woman grace which he offers to every one of us.

When the people left Jesus instructed the woman to go and sin no more. (not to transgress the law or break the law)
You can see that the 10commandments is still valid because Jesus asked the woman not to commit adultery.

God does not demand that we stone people to death or flog people in this present time, those laws were done away with through the death of Christ. but the 10commandments still stand because the define what is sin, what we can do and what we cannot do that is not pleasing to God.

And as Paul said are we now allowed to sin or continue in sin because we are all be given grace?

Paul's answer is no rather we uphold the law.

Romans 3:31
Do we then make void the law through faith? God
forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Note.
God allowed those who broke the law to be stoned to death to demonstrate to the Israelites that the wages of Sin is death.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death ; but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord

Zechariah 1:1 In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, 1:2 The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers. 1:3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. 1:4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD. 1:5 Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever? 1:6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us. 1:7 Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, 1:8 I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white. 1:9 Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be. 1:10 And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth. 1:11 And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest. 1:12 Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years? 1:13 And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words. 1:14 So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy. 1:15 And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction. 1:16 Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem. 1:17 Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

More facts and evidence.
It was the time of Zechariah that the king's command  to rebuild the temple was given.

In Zechariah1:7-12. A vision was shown unto Zechariah and in that vision an Angel asked God how long would God leave Jerusalem and the cities of Judah desolate which God has had indigination on for three score and ten yrs. Which is the same number of yrs that was revealed to Daniel in book of  Daniel9:2. that the Jews will spend in captivity.
Note this vision was revealed to Zechariah at the end of the 70yrs also note that God also promised that he has returned to show Jerusalem mercy.
Zechariah1:14-17

Daniel  9:2  In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

No where in this OP did I mention how Daniel or who held him captivity.

Really.

You have amazing Bible skills.

If you had Knowledge of the Bible as you claim you would have known that Daniel was not alive when the decree for the Israelites to go back and build the temple was given.

The Bible said Daniel prospered and reigned under the King Darius.

Daniel 6:28 So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

Scondly In chapter 9 of the book of Daniel we find that during the reign Darius the son Ahasuerus of the seed of Mede's that Daniel was given a vision or revelation of the freeing or release of the Children of Israel from captivity.

In God's plan shown to Daniel the Children of Israel were to spend 70yrs in Captivity.
This can be found in Daniel 9:1-27.
As you can see Daniel was still in Mede's and Persians and did not go back to Israel but died yrs before the fufillment of the prophecy.

I guess thats So much for your falsetower to know.

No where in my OP did I write that Daniel was held by the Mede's.

Daniel 6:14 Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him. 6:15 Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.

The important fact I wanted to convey in my OP is that the law of the Mede's and Persians cannot be changed.

That I also wrote in my article.

I guess you know better than the writers of the Bible.

Daniel 5:30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain. 5:31 And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.

Daniel 6:1 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom; 6:2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.

Personally, I feel it will offend my God to copy pagans while serving Him. The encyclopedia shows how this whole thing came up.

Are there things in life unconnected to pagans? Yes. God has a way He outlined He is to be worshipped just like false gods have their's. God's ways can be gleaned from the scriptures.

The remembrance of Christ's death is originated by him. Christian assembly is not from pagans. To mention but a few.
You still did not answer my question.

Hebrews 10:16

Jeremiah 31:33
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of

We should be happy that we survived to the next day, not just a single day, 31st December.

The new year is not the problem, but this festivities originated from somewhere, and much the same significance is still maintained till date.

The pagans originated the new year festivity. They did so because of false belief about a new year.

As a Christian, I feel that even if I want to start up a celebration, I wouldn't want to copy the pagans nor associate myself with there superstitions. Also, the Jews and Christians in the first century must be aware of these festivities, yet neither Jesus nor his disciples engaged in this pagan festival.
