My obsession with your age, is due to the fact that you're unaware of things that are common knowledge amongst African people. But I'm being presumptuous. You're probably not even African. I bet you're white.

Well, my numbers are based on guesstimations, much like yours, on the Chinese population. The facts remain, that a large portion of the Portuguese population is immigrating to Angola and Mozambique as I write this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0gLkWhBSfk

It's history with European peoples.

Most nations in the world are still relatively poor, by Western standards. That said, Africa is a continent, so if we're to talk about development, we should talk about it on a case by case, nation by nation basis.

Conveniently, I found a documentary, on the very same topic, and you're hypothesis is wrong. Most black people say Asia is better than the West, for black people:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-o5HElKKK4Y

I don't care about UAE, the fact is, that it's a terrible example. Given it's abundance.

How could South Korea have been a communist nation? South Korea is PRODUCT of communism. As it was/is fractured between the Western-backed South (which is democratic) and the Communist-backed North.
The Mozambique you mentioned are having economic growth thanks to large oil and gas reserves discovered by Western companies.
Do you know that by 1985 South Korea and Ghana had the same indices and economic level. both were receiving loans ,assistance from IMF and World bank.

Today you can see the difference between both Nations.

Ok, let us forget about African and Chinese history.

Just type in your Google search: Deborah Broutigam. Ambassador Shinn blog(former US ambassador to Ethiopia). YouTube China Africa project (now this is more of a propaganda platform, but you will surely learn a lot from their discussions and questions). All Americans by the way.

"We Africans have died enough primarily because of our subhuman nature particularly hear in Nigeria".
All this are mere talk and propangander.

Look at Mozambique there Economy is growing fast thanks to investment from where? not China but the West.
It was western firms Anadarko and Agip that discovered one of the World largest gas reserves, which have projected Mozambique to be among the World top 8 nations that have the largest gas reserves.

Rio Tonto of Australia and Brazil's vale are investing billions in coal, and iron ore projects.
The investment in the oil and gas sector is put at over 10billion dollars. there are other examples which I cannot exhaust.

Guyana in South America is one of the poorest nations but today Exxon Mobil is transforming the economy of that small nation, thanks to over 2billion oil reserves discovered in that nation(Liza field).

This are facts not propangander.

The irony is that you claim my OP is mere propangander from the West, but you have failed to give me facts rather you give more propangander.

Anyone can do any YouTube video to promote whatever idea they are into.
My own argument is that we should look at remittance from Africans from the West and those in Asian.
Population of Africans resident in both the West and in China,
Achievements of Africans in the West and those in China.
That's is what is facts not some YouTube video. I can send you over a 100 videos of blacks been abused and mistreated in Asia, China to be precise.

Well, your example isn't strong enough, because it's also proven that Italy has a military base in Djibouti as well. Would anyone believe that Italy, has military ambitions on the continent of Africa? Of course not. The base in Djibouti is all about securing the Red Sea, which is extremely important to Italy, given its location, and the various other countries operating in that country.

If it's substandard, which it is not, then don't go to them. No one is forcing anyone to do business with anyone. The facts are, that Angola originally went to the West after the Civil War ended, but they rejected them. So what are they supposed to do. Just sit back and do nothing. Angola is a middle-income nation today, thanks to China's efforts within the country.
You keep getting your facts wrong.
Angola is a middle- income country thanks to which China?
Angola's economy is dominated by oil and the last time I checked its production, exploration was dominated by western IOC, British Petroleum,Exxon Mobil,Shell, Anadarko.

Well, I was born and raised in the West, so I am Western and I don't "hate" the West, nor its people. I'm just speaking (writing) the honest truth.

Where did you get that statistic from? There are 5 million Chinese people in America. A country of 300+ million people. Africa is a continent of 1.1 billion souls. 1 or 2 million Chinese immigrants is relatively small. But again, as I previously stated. It makes sense that there would be Chinese people migrating to Africa.

That aside, there are over 15 million Africans of European descent. So if you don't see any problem with white people living and migrating to Africa (Mozambique and Angola recorded over 80k Portuguese migrants, in a single year), then you shouldn't have a problem with the Chinese.

I didn't blame the West for anything. I brought up the Third World Debt. Again, how old are you? American Economic Hitman John Perkins came out and admitted that they intentionally indebted Africa, and various other countries around the world.

Africa is where it is, because of its history. If African people were stupid and inherently corrupt, by definition, they wouldn't exist. So your thinking is oxymoronic.

Well, go and tell John Perkins, that he's lying. This is a unique situation where you're hearing the words from the horse's mouth:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWuAct1BxHU

Or are you going to say, this white man is lying? In your quest to side with European peoples, despite the horrendous treatment they've meted out to African people, for the past 500 years? What have Chinese people done to ever arouse your suspicion? You're thinking is totally illogical.

And your example nations are weak. I can't believe you mentioned Dubai. Dubai is not even a country. I think you mean UAE, and the UAE is one of, if not the most oil rich nation on earth. Nations like Singapore and South Korea, owe their development primarily to the politics of the time (communism).
No other race or people would have been better to Africans than Europeans that's a fact.
The highest cry you will cry now is that of Slavery.
But the truth is that slave trade was already established in Africa before the Europeans came.
Tell me what would have been the fate of Africa without Colonization?
When it comes to gain, Africa has gained more from Europeans than Asians.
How many Africans are resident in Asia, what is the amount or level of remittance from China to Africa compared to that of Europe?
How many Africans have excelled in politics, business, sports or any other endeavour in China compared to Europe?

Like I said before and not an advocate for the west, No
My concern is that we should be careful while dealing with the Chinese.

Your estimate of 15million Africans of European descent in Africa  is false.
Africa is were it is because of its history, if I should ask what history?

Is unfortunate you are quoting someone who does not understand his left from his right.(John Perkins).

Why did other nations borrow from the West and used it to become great and successful nations while Africa nations remains poor?

If you want to see oppression and racism go to China and give me feedback when you are back.

Of cos I know Dubai is part of UAE but it beholds me to observe that you do not know that UAE practice true federalism and that Dubai has less oil than Abu Dhabi and is not reliant on Abu Dhabi for its development.
You can google about Dubai debt crises which occurred during 2008economic recession.

Singapore and South Korea were never communist they were more of mixed economy with leaning  torwards  capitalism and the west.
South Korea success is a product of US capital and technology which US supplied to the South Korea as its ally after the Korean peninsula war.

I thought been older  as you claim you would have known that it was North Korea that practised communism even till date. So much for your age claim.

Am not the type that google facts today to win arguments. most of what I have written I have read and researched on them  and reached my conclusion over 15yrs ago.

Djibouti currently houses military bases from the following nations: United States of America, France, Italy, Japan and China.

You say I'm bias, but you're the only one with the bias talking points. Why is it okay for USA to have a base in Djibouti, but not China?

This Djibouti situation is all about the Red Sea. Which is a vital shipping route, for all of those nations. Given the level of insecurity, it made sense for Djibouti to leavege off it, and they did. By allowing those nations to secure that trade route, in exchange for money. Djibouti is a small, insignificant nation, at the tip of East Africa.

Again, if China wanted to debt trap Africa, which it does not. It could have done it in 2003. You're only hip to this situation because of Western media outlets. But China has been doing heavy business in Africa for more than 20 years. Giving out loans for the entirety of that time. During the past two decades, they have slashed and cancelled tons of loan payments. So again, there's no evidence to support what you're saying. Why would China seek to indebt Africa? It stands to gain, far more, by helping Africa develop. Which is what it's doing, to create it's much desired Eastern Bloc.
My aim was to point out to you that your Saint China also has Military  and political ambitions in Africa.
You just been ignoring fact, I told you before that China trapped Sri Lanka with the same loan and project concept of which I gave you are valid link.
It is also on record that by 1983 Angola was indebted to China to the tune of  5billion dollars, currently Angola debt to China is estimated at 22billion dollars.
https://www.africanews.com/2018/10/29/angola-sink-deeper-into-debt//

also mind you that China sold weapons to Angola and Mozambique governments during their civil war.
How is China helping Africa to grow?
Is it by building substandard infrastructure that has no salvage value in the long run?
Am sure you have not read about  the new Angola airport that China used to rip that country off, from estimated cost of  $300million to over $8billions and it is  yet to be completed.

try to know when God speaks in the bible and when a man is talking . in that chapter you quoted was an understanding of Paul there is only praising the immortality himself who is God without God no immortality. if God stop existing all the creations will stop as well because God is center of creation I mean the energy base of all creations through Him we enjoy the same immortality. God is in you, in me and in everything that lives.
See explanation!!!!!.

Stop twisting and confusing bible verses to suit your false belief.
The word of God is clear.
Only God has Immortality, meaning it is only God that cannot die. every other thing made by God can die.

2ndly you ignored the word ONLY. that word proves beyond doubt that Paul was saying that God alone has immortality.

there death is not Dependant on God dying or not that will make them equal with God, what the Bible verse is saying is that only God has ability to live forever.

Before China started investing heavenly in Africa by early 2000 the Economist magazine wrote off Africa as wasted & dark continent destined to die off from aids, wars, poverty, backwardness etc.

China isn't building entire cities to house their own nationals in foreign countries. Do you even listen to yourself? Is that even possible? Could USA build a city in Nigeria to house American nationals? It's not possible unless you have control over the immigration policy of that specific nation. One million Chinese people couldn't just up and move to Nigeria, because they'd need the Nigerian governments permission to do so.

That said, the city building myth, was originally built on the supposed ghost city in Angola. However, that city has since been filled up, with ANGOLANS.

When it comes to debt. The West is in no position to talk about that. Didn't the Western World indebt every single country in Africa? How old are you? Haven't you ever heard of the Third World Debt? Western financial institutions (Word Bank & IMF), indebted every country in Africa, to the tune of billions, and they did so, through the use of their ECONOMIC HITMEN.

If the Chinese were as malicious and myopic as the West, they would have indebted Africa a long time ago. I mean, what's the point in cancelling African debts, every single year, if your sole intentions is to indebt the continent? NO, China's sole motivations are to create an Eastern Bloc, encompassing China and the African continent, in opposition to the West.

They have no colonial desires - which is pretty much impossible today, anyway. Nor do they want to up and leave China for Africa.
I hope you know that the Chinese are expanding there military might and resources in Africa e.g the new Chinese military base in Djibouti.
Have you ever looked at the quality of job the Chinese are constructing for Africa or you are busy chasing shadows(the West).

Barley 5yrs after construction In Nigeria, the much- applauded Abuja-Kaduna railway commissioned in 2016 has
already got stories of breakdown of trains. The
Chinese infrastructural development in Africa are
designed to keep her in control of these
infrastructures.

I hope you know that it was this same approach that the Chinese used to trap the Sri lanka.

I hope you know that there are over 2million Chinese in Africa and they are still growing
On the issue of cities been built by the Chinese it is obvious you don't know or understand what economic exclusive zone means.

You are quick to blame the west for African debts and undevelopment , but that is naive for one to think that Africa is undeveloped because of western debt.

The truth is Africa is were it is because of its inherent corruption and stupidity not debt.

Go and read about Singapore, Taiwan,South Korea all this nations borrowed from the same Western sources that the African nations borrowed from, and even at higher interest rate but look at them today they invested the money borrowed properly and repaid the loan when due from the proceeds from the investment while African nations were busy loot both loan, interest and capital.
Is there any country without debt?
US the World largest economy owes trillions in debt.
Dubai the mega city is majority built through debt financing of properties and infrastructure.

Africa will remain were they are irrespective of who they partner all less they get there acts right.

The guy is obviously talking about the Lekki Free Zone Development Company, which was a joint infrastructure project between the Lagos Government and a Chinese construction company. For one, the LFZDC is an industrial park, it's not a city. Two, the people employed within the park are NIGERIAN, not Chinese. Essentially, the park was established as a means for Chinese companies to set up plants within Nigeria, so that they can manufacture within the country, using NIGERIAN EMPLOYEES, just as Western companies did in China, with Apple, Nike, Adidas, IBM etc.

As you can see here. It's NIGERIANS manufacturing Chinese products. Which is a GREAT thing. Any African would have to be completely foolish to oppose it. Just look what it did for China: https://lfzdc.org/media-centre/

That white person who wrote that article. Simply took certain facts and distorted them, to fit his agenda. Which is to deter Africans from doing business with China. Why, because China is perceived as a threat to Western hegemony and dominance on the earth. That's all white people care about, their own interests. NOT yours.
This is just your sentiment speaking.

What happened to the reference made in the article why are the Chinese building entire cities to house there people?

Did the middle east nations and nations like Singapore and Honk Kong require this approach from the Chinese to be successful?
Angola is heavily indebted to China. thanks to the Oil for loans deals that they entered into with the Chinese.

Okay,, what do we do now?
The best thing is that we tackle corruption, have a development template which can guide our actions.
I support borrowing loans from China because they are cheaper. but I do not subscribe to them building mega cities in Africa to house their people or them having access to massive resources in Africa on unfavorable terms.
e.g the deal Angola had with China. you can look it up.

The issue you raise is valid. About the "best solution" you proffered, Chinese interest rates are the cheapest around. And for Nigeria, The currency swap deal further ensured a "safer" landing; no thanks to naira/dollar rate. Now if we get such loans without such clauses, Who will execute the projects?? the West? Africans?? that is IF the money is not embezzled before we say Jack. I believe this is the problem the West complain about, 'Monies in wrong hands all the time". And the Chinese are not taking any chances yet they present mouth watering deals... I embrace the progress! Nevertheless, It can not always be like this. Thank you again.
I understand your point. but how do we grow with them constructing all the projects, building Chinese cities and factories that will house and employ Chinese people even to the lowest level without regards to the local workers.
We have world class local and multinational construction firms. Most people don't know what is like to work or do business with Chinese people.

"Next to Lagos, Nigeria, Chinese developers have built a walled-off “special economic zone”–basically a separate city, with separate rules designed to attract investors – based on a model they’ve used inside China for the last 30 years. After Shenzhen became a special economic zone in the 1980s, it went from a small town of 20,000 to, by some counts, 15 million today. In these “special economic zones”, you will find Chinese factories staffed with Chinese managers that are supervising Chinese workers that are using Chinese equipment to make their products."
How is this beneficial to Africa?

Blaming others by exonerating ourselves
That's one of our major problems we fail to hold ourselves accountable for our failures.

The Chinese we are running to at one time were poor and unrated, but they got there objectives right, today they are the world 2nd largest economy.

If you read well, I hope you understand me. Now if you do understand me, I never compared them(China & West...) in terms of who is better by virtue of the quality they can or have offered. I did in terms of facts now, which is, the west & Europe think too much before they consider anything Africa compared to China that thinks everything Africa these days. The West & Co are either tired of the myopic thoughts of leadership in Africa or too cautious of the power we will wield upon a substantial development. Would you suggest we wait on the West before my grandmother can buy a phone? or before any meaningful development can be done?
Thank you for your facts tho
True, I partly agree with you, but the issue is that what China is offering us will increase our debts and impoverish our African nations in the long run.

The best solution would have been for China lending money to African nations at small interest rates without clause that gives them the power to excute the projects they are funding through loans.

https://talksport.com/football/529796/comparing-jurgen-klopp-pep-guardiola-transfers-liverpool-manchester-city-title-race/

For all the hype that Guardiola spent more than Klopp the difference between the expenditure between both Coaches is less than 200million pounds.(actual difference is 141,246,000pounds).

When we consider the per capita spent on each player the facts shows that Klopp over spent more than Guardiola.
Klopp spent on average £30,651,923 on each player.

While Guardiola spent on Average £24,532,773 on each player.
from this facts we can deduce that Klopp spent higher Amount on individual players
than Guardiola.

My Conclusion.
Why I accept the fact that Klopp is a great and good coach, he is no way better than Guardiola.

Guardiola's tactics and influence when he was in Laliga lead Spain to win the World cup and Euro's.
When he was in Germany(Bayern Munich) his tactics and influence was also instrumental in the Germany team winning the World Cup. thats the stuff of genius.

Evidently, yeah.
Although it is unhealthy for some reasons, it is a better option compared to the West & Europe who think to have us kiss their feet for everything. The chinese are not scared of what Africa may become, they just want to make a statement in the world. If this the way Africa will embrace cheap technology & quick development, let it be. May we also bear in mind that we are masters of our destinies and no one will benefit us like us as far as development is concerned.
You are a joker.

The Europeans and west are 100times far better than Asians especially the Chinese.
It was the Europeans that gave us Education and helped us to discover some of the resources which we have e.g Oil, coal,
Left for the Chinese they would not let you know that you have such resources.

Look at Singapore,South Korea, Dubai, Malaysia, Hong kong,Qatar,Kuwait and many other successful countries are where they are today because assistance or impact of western countries.
The rich middle East countries have the West to thank for the oil discovered in that region that transformed there Nations.

Am not an apologetic for the West No, but I want us to get our facts right.

Fenandez

It amazed me how a Nigerian teenage boy got through with a solid mineral international business deal in the United States to make his first million dollars. And this boy was not even born in the US. He migrated to the US in his second year of his high school. I studied the life of this great man, and it really shaped my thought.

Late Chief Antonio Oladeinde Fenandez, an extra - ordinary ambassador was so powerful and rich that kings, queens, princes, and princesses flocked round him. He had many deals with George Bush Sr. and they were a bit close. Fenandez children called the great Mandela, "Uncle Nelson" or "Uncle Mandela". That's to show how close Mandela was to his family.

Fenandez, a man after knowledge
His zeal for knowledge prompted me to look deeply in his lifestyle. He searched knowledge via Ogboni Fraternity, and was one of the highest ranking officer during his time. The fraternity is of Yoruba race, and can be said to be in the same category with Freemason. Igbo's Nze Na Ozo, and South South's Ekpe are in the same category too. These are gatherings and societies of honorary men in the society according to human standard.

Are you saying you know more than these men? Are you more knowledgeable than Chief Dehinde Fenandez? Do you think he did not think about science too? Perhaps religion and zeal to seek knowledge is fo.olishness. If it is foolish, why would a powerful man like Chief Fenandez walk along such path?

This was a man who never for a day dreamt of involving himself in the Nigerian politics, but dined with them. They all begged him for favor including Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. And no wonder Asiwaju made his daughter so powerful in Lagos when he was the governor of Lagos State. A man who married 5 wives, and two were from Nigerian powerful royal homes. His wife Chief Erelu Dosumu-Fenandez of the Lagos Royal home was so popular in those days that King Sunny Ade praised her in one his albums. So, are you telling me that you know more than Chief Fenandez? Yet, you are here on nairaland screaming like con.fused goats debating nonse.nse.

Was there a turn around at the end of his life
It is still a mystery to me how Pastor Tunde Bakare was with his last wife in front seat during his funeral service in church, and at the cemetery in Brussels where he was buried. The Ogboni Fraternity was one of the reasons I really studied this man. I mean, why would Pastor Tunde Bakare attend the funeral of an Ogboni man far away in Belgium? He left his church in Ogba, Lagos, and travelled all the way to Brussels to attend a high ranking fraternity member's funeral. Or is Pastor Bakare himself a member?

When I was a kid, I attended an elementary school very close to the home of the great entertainer, theatre pro, actor, narrator, and musician Hubert Ogunde. I know so much about him because he was a champ in the area. Who didn't know who he was? People dreaded him. He would plait his hair (All back style), wore white robe, and gallantly moved around in those days. That was a powerful Ogboni member in his days. So, when I heard Chief Fenandez was a powerful ranking officer, I knew immediately the kind of charisma deposited in him too. So, the question I am still asking is: Did he abandon the fraternity? Tunde Bakare's presence kinda confused me, even till date.

Why should you try to listen to the intuitive fraction if you are a logical oriented person? Think about this question very well. What I discovered is that more powerful, knowledgeable, wealthy people follow the intuitive path more than the experimental.

I was not surprised when Chief Olu Falae was cautioned by Professor Wole Soyinka to remove one of the reasons he was challenging Chief Obasanjo's 1999 presidential election victory. Chief Falae accused Chief Obasanjo of being a member of a fraternity (probably Ogboni, but I am not sure), and that he was not qualified to contest the election. Lol. The same chief Obasanjo who was a general in the military, later returned to school to earn a phd in theology. A man whose letters shake presidents. His letter was one of the tools that unseated president Goodluck Jonathan. So, presidents, ambassadors, wealthy men etc are members of this Ogboni Fraternity. And what are they looking for? Knowledge.

Is there sense in your involvement in religious e-war on nairaland? If you have to debate, do it in peace, and stop releasing venom. Knowledge is power. Knowledge is wealth. And Knowledge is almost everything on earth. If you do not seek knowledge, you are inferior. If you do not have real hunger and thirst for it, you are a failure. And to me, it seems the application of knowledge is intuition.
Brilliant, but every knowledge outside God's provision is not acceptable to God.
