dimpules:Postinor is a contraceptive pill containing a single progestin hormone, levonorgestrel. It works in two ways- 1.If taken seven days before ovulation date, it suppresses ovulum development. 2.If taken after fertilisation, it prevents its implantation in uterus(this is the major way it works to stop pregnancy) Murder is defined as killing a living person. At what stage is a foetus said to be living-at embryonic level ,at 8 weeks of pregnancy,at 16 weeks of pregnancy,at 30 weeks?Who has the right to determine at what level a Foetus is said to be living and therefore killing it will be deemed as murder? No one! Only God. Now what postinor does is,when the sperm fertilises the egg and an embryo is formed,it stops the embry from implanting in the uterus. If you kill the embryo, have you committed murder?Ofcourse the answer is yes if you believe abortion is murder. An embryo is living! So please don't decieve yourself, using Postinor and abortion serve the same purpose.Ask another medic if you think I am feeding you with wrong information. The only difference is that society does not frown at using postinor because the believe is that the abortion occurs at embryonic level and not at the stage of the well developed foetus! Read the articles below http://www.righttolife.asn.au/media_releases/2002_june05b.htm Postinor is a chemical abortant: http://www.lifeoffice.org.au/resource/MAP_facts.pdf As a doctor,I know for sure does who take postinor and those who do surgical abortion are not different. It gives you the SAME RESULT! So in reality we can say a very large propotion of sexually active girls have had an abortion. With knowledge you will understand a lot of things and can judge better. That is why I do not have anything against abortion neither do I condemn people wo chose which baby to keep. It's a woman's choice! |
What is behind the dip in FCMB share price.I fear it might lose close to 1 naira today again. |
I am sure Obasanjo will be doubting Iyabo's paternity as no owu person is a thief! |
I respect all views as well.I am not against abortion and will never be.If my GF has had an abortion and she wants to tell the whole word that is her business. Most people who have abortions tell their close friends. If you call abortion murder then what will you call taking "postinor". Postinor only acts after fertilization has occurred.Taking postinor is also murder for those who think abortion is murder. A woman has the right to decide which baby to keep and she should NOT be condemned for it. |
What is wrong with having an abortion?A woman has the right to decide if she wants to keep a child or not.Abeg oooo,I am not religious so keep your religious views to yourselves. |
Tongue ring, I find it very appealing and sexy. |
It's not about doctors being flirts,it's about the pressure on them by their patients. And by the way, some of these patients are very beautiful and succulent.Walahi, sometimes no be doctors fault, the patients just won't let them be. |
Now when you talk of the HIV issue-it's the same Mbeki government that refused to accept that HIV causes AIDS.Infact Mbeki sacked his health minister for alluding to the fact the HIV causes AIDS.Mbeki only under pressure has agreed to make availaible first generation HIV drugs to his own people.Because this western educated man does not believe HIV causes AIDS.The difference between Mbeki and Zuma in this regard is zero.Let's face it,a judge threw out the rape allegation against Zuma Zuma might not have a good personality but for goodness sake he won an election.A free and fair election. His people love him.Zuma was a freedom fighter who lived amongst his people. He led the armed wing of the ANC for long.Unlike Mbeki who rode on his father's back.Mbeki had all the spoilings of an "ajebo".Schooled in London, headed the ANC office in London.I guess that is why he was thought to be far off from his people-"aloof and arrogant". Mbeki has given Zuma a very bad name.He tried to do the "Obasanjo vs Atiku thingy" in South Africa but it has back fired on him. I don't care about Zuma's personality, democracy is about the free will of the people in action. If after his first term,Zuma does not perform the same process that brought him to power will remove him from power. ANC Elections having an effect on global markets-Mbeki was seen to be pro-west and their estabilishments. The biggest bank(Stanbic) in South Africa is bigger than 50 percent of all our banks in Nigeria. The South African Economy is the largest in Africa and was once believed to be bigger than that of the whole sub saharan Africa.Mind you the investments in South Africa come from "whites" and their "brothers" in U.K and the USA.Zuma is heavily pro the black suffering unemployed people of South Africa. The fear is that he might seek wealth redistribution. And with the world wide credit crunch,I doubt if the "U.K & USA" investors will not be thinking of alternative plans now that Zuma is certain to become the next President of South Africa. |
lumideezle:Hmmmm, true talk my brother.I have never seen a girl date a poor married man and ask if it is wrong. All the girls I know who have dated married men ,have somehow managed to end up with only rich married men |
Siena:It depends on the friends.I have childhood friends who are very dear to me and will not deliberately go out of their way to kill my marriage. If there is something that has to be said then I will rather hear it from a friend than from a stranger who will give me a biased story. The truth is,we all know our friends,so you will know who to listen to. |
What is wrong with being in love with a married man? Everything -if you are a christian As a muslim, the man is entitled to 4 wives(so there is nothing wrong with loving him) Ditto, the traditionalists. In the real world we don't choose who to fall in love with, but surely we choose who to be with.Loving a married man might not be wrong, what you do with the married man is what is wrong(depending on your faith). There is no right or wrong answer to this, believe me.Until it hits you,you will always take the moral high ground in answering such questions. |
In the U.K it is very common for girls to ask you what job you do and at what level. They even go further to ask if your house has a garden. And if you drove down to the date. They also tell you about themselves and expect you to ask the same questions.I guess they want to be sure they are dating people in the right social class.Initially I used to be angry(that was when I was still studying) but these days I just answer the questions as they come. And I also ask mine.If you want a top guy be ready to have what it takes. |

oyb:True talk my guy.Listen guys,I am a man and for men, dealing with a woman's past can be extremely difficult.Best for the woman to spare the man the agony that goes with revealing her past. Women with bad pasts are the ones who are eager to tell a guy they meet all about themselves(of course in a good way) so the guys don't find out. Both ways it's a no win situation.A woman who confesses to sleeping with big shots, threesomes in Hilton with white men, dating 2 friends, dating brothers does not expect her man to swallow everything and just continue loving her.vis-a-vis. There will always be that thing to remind the guy, especially when he meets guys who know about the girl's past.Sooner than later it will start affecting their relationship.I tell you something, guys who marry girls with bad pasts are usually much older than the girls or do not live in the same area with the girls.A guy in your age group who lives in the same city as the babe will surely come across many people who know the girl and keep reminding of her past.We are all human afterall. The best thing is DO NOT divulge until asked. And when you are asked answer with the least vivid detail but be truthful and always end by saying "I LOVE YOU AND THAT IS WHAT MATTERS". A woman's past is one of the biggest determinants to a guy marrying her.Believe it or not! |
Zuma defeats Mbeki. A deputy President Mbeki once sacked.Democracy in action |
All world major TV networks are carrying the ANC elections live. When will our dear PDP reach this stage? I hear the ANC election will have an effect on all world markets tomorrow. We will get there, only if we do away with the corrupt leaders we have.Ribadu over to you. |
Halitosis is curable. It might just be a bad tooth or inflammed tonsils.Hold his hand, look into his eyes, tell him you love him and gently ask him to sort out his bad breath, and if he can't you will still love him.Trust me he will see a dentist/doctor |
@ Blue band, you wan give some people heart attack? How you go say FCMB wey no reach N20 lose up to N1? Abi madam Ndi don change the 5% rule?
Abeg no vex. ![]() |

If she has no intention of contributing to the cash pot and she is waiting for you to foot all the bills,I can assure you even when you become a billionaire she will still be saying the same thing.Leave her for a career oriented woman. |
Maybe she wants to "marry up" ![]() |
Women think differently from men.If a man tells a woman about his past, she feels the urge to hold him closer and guard him closely. As for men, what is going on in their mind is if she is capable of doing the same to him. It's a tough call, best not to tell him anything. If he hears from outside and asks you, then tell him the truth. If he cannot handle it,then too bad.By the way what a woman does in her past life prior to meeting you is not admissible in the court of love. The circumstances could have been different and even though it might reflect on her behaviour it does not mean she will do the same with you. |

You don't need a PhD to become a professor. In Medicine for instance, more than 85% of the professors do not have PhDs where I work. There are so many routes to becoming a professor 1.Professional exams-MRCP,FRCP 2.Expertise in your field.Primary inventors who want others to share in their knowledge. PhDs is usually research based. If our government can support that then it is okay to promogulate such a law.But for a country with very few research institutes and most universities not having research grants,I wonder how such a law can be seen as fair. |
