I normally don like to talk about this man. But I have so much hate in my heart towards him for all his utterances/orders which have sent so many innocent people to an early grave. I really wish Ekpa can be extradited and handed a painful sentence over here.

So many people do not even believe Kanu is guilty of the crimes he was accused and now sentenced for. They make strong, but blind arguement( which borders on emotions) for him. I always look away...both online and offline.

No investor wants to bring their business to a region where work stops every week, where shops stay closed, roads are empty, and families live in fear. How can companies grow? How can jobs be created? How will the economy survive when productivity keeps dropping? Even young people with talent are running to other states because they see no future where there is constant tension and wasted Mondays, but many don't want to admit this openly

The truth is, the real effect may not show fully today. But in 20 or 30 years, when the lost opportunities start adding up, when people look around and see how far behind the region has fallen compared to other states, then the pain of this “sit-at-home” culture will be clear. And by then, everyone will remember him, whether in a good way or a bad way, for the damage done to the future of his own people.

Kanu's case is a case of the side effects of pampering crime.

When he was in Kenya, his atrocities were still fresh. Even the people defending him now, were not defending him then. In prison, he started this Sit at Home, which has turned to something else.

The same way that BH was pampered with rehabilitation. Today, we have Bandits collecting ransoms.

Always learn to set examples early. No matter how brutal, set it.

Cos think about it if you want to kidnap, why wont you go for someone who is an expatriate and will have money than people who are poor, when you see the level of poverty of some of those kidnapped,, you will know except govt rescues them, there is no one going to pay 100K for him
