izzou:All the people identifying as passengers on the flight will most likely be contacted by her lawyers if the lawyers know their job well. They definitely won't go to court to rely on defence based on internet screenshots |
https://www.nairaland.com/8496106/like-zenith-court-awards-5 So two diffrent judgements has pronounced that a bank cannot restrict your bank account exevpt there's a court order that authorize them to do so. So, even if EFCC ask them to place a hold on Ur account, without EFCC providing a court order u can sue the bank and win. Banks will be having serous headaches now. |
iamoyindamola:With all these new revelations coming to light, the air hostess too may lose her job. When the heat gets too much for the airline company , they will throw her under the bus. |
GloriousGbola:Well, That is another angle sha. Keyamo sef wey be aviation minister has not done anything related to avaition in his life. We are not even sure some of the guys managing the avaiation agencies may be core aviation expert. That one na general naija problem sha |
iamoyindamola:You can see from this screenshot say the air hostess and the lady are stubborn and mostly two of dem get bad mouth. The Air hostess most likely wanted to deal with her and the comfort lady wanted to show her that "where her own craze end na there her own start " It is a shiit show honestly. |
izzou:It is when u threaten a Nigerian passenger with debording or refund u will see the real naija stubborn spirit in them o. Anyways I think I get ur point now; we can disagree to agree . |
GloriousGbola:Likeeeeee! This is a PR nightmare for Ibom Air; in just matter of days the whole thing is blowing up and they are looking like the villian already in the court of public opinion. I think these two incidents just made Keyamo's job a lot more difficult. Now they need to have meetings with airline operators and agree on a consensus whether Airplane mode is safe for a plane to land and take off or it is outright switching off phones that passengers need to adhere to. They would also be deliberating on review of the protocol to be employed in dealing with unruly passengers. They would be talking about a whole lot of issues they've not considered before now that will give them headache in the furture. |
iamoyindamola:Of course she did. That is not debatable The staff's role in the whole issue will also be investigated |
If there's any element of truth to the other passengers' account of the events on the Ibom Air flight I have been reading online ; the matter looks like a case that started off as that of " stubborn woman Jam stubborn woman" The comfort lady was asked to switch off her phone but she refused and insisted it was already on airplane mode. The air hostess insisted on having her switch if off rather than have it on airplane mode. The air hostess wanted to impose her authority and wanted 100% compliance while the comfort lady seem like one who would not give in,having convinced herself that her phone being on airplane mode means all safety protocol has been observed. (most airlines would want u to either out the phone off or on airplane mode) Most likely there was an exchange of words and ego battle between the two ladies until another passenger took the phone off the lady and switched it off to save everybody's time since the air hostess would not allow the pilot take off except the comfort lady complies. That definitely infuriated the comfort lady and must have turned a chatterbox from takeoff to landing. The air hostess wanting to deal with comfort already had the pilot call security immediately the plane landed. She blocked comfort from disembarking and comfort fought back by trying to force her way out which unfortunately for her was caught on camera. The video made the internet and she is now in serious trouble......
|
Izzou see what I was saying about airlines being diplomatic to a fault with their customers because of the blowback from altercations between their staff and passengers which may lead to potential lawsuit? Now the dynamics of the whole matter is changing. There's a section of the public that is now sympathetic with the lady urging her to sue the airline company. The video of the lady wanting off the plane with the air hostess blocking her way and the testimony of other passengers aboard same aircraft is beginning to sway public opinion away from Ibom Air's side. Suddenly, even Keyamo the minister of aviation is displeased with Ibom Air over the indocent video of th lady that made it to the internet. The lady will definitely get what's coming to her, but this is also a PR mess for Ibom Air Sha.

Theflint1:Whats the corelation between firm bresss and year of university education completion?
|
Theflint1:Na so! make dem weldone. More power to their elbow ![]() |
Theflint1:These ones are freelance. No one mentor can mentor these ones successfully. |
sleekdot:Na where I understand English reach I take talk am o. Nothing concern me with her market wey she dey sell o. We do not have the financial capacity beyond feeding our eyes off what is made available on the internet make we move on afterwards. |
sleekdot:Oh, dem don even dig up her social media handle? The funny thing about this country be say She go just come back from Kirikiri see say she don get plenty new followers. ![]() |
iamoyindamola:Just check @d_peoplesinsight page on IG, those ones don quickly compile her baddy pishures post. Bloggers no dey slack at all, dem dey always milk people's misfortune sharp sharp |
raumdeuter:I have seen the lady's other pictures; she's an IG baddy. She has sutry pictures everywhere; she gives the vibe of all those girls that think "If it is trouble you want, I will give you plenty " |
raumdeuter:TB Joshua's case was the first time I knew that someone's public image can actually be laundered with enough amount of giveaway done. Nobody rated him all over Egbe, Ikotun and Alimosho at large back then. His story casted all over Lagos. Then he began giveaway of food items and people started trooping far and wide. Oyinbos saw videos of his charity and purported miracles, and they began trooping in. The arrival of Oyinbos encouraged fellow Nigerians to follow suit and the money started flowing . |
raumdeuter:The late Kolawole Olawuyi made an entire career off bursting these guys back in the days. This Ukoko fisher , TB Joshua and one other woman that claimed she was God were the prominent Kola Olawuyi's cases I still remember very well. The man really demystified those guys back then. That woman's case was much later when Kola Olawuyi had moved to GalaxyTV and was airing the program on Sunday afternoons.( I think the woman's name was Malaika or so) The woman claimed she created heaven; in fact she created Kola Olwuyi that came to interview her . The man say lai lai o, no be u create me. What was shocking was that the woman's church actually had members who believe she is indeed God.That woman's format is still being used by Olumba Olumba till date. The papa say na him be holy spirit (comforter) that was promised when Jesus left the earth. When the papa die, the son Roland that took over still continue from where him papa stop by still claiming to be the holy spirit personified till date. ![]() When I saw people raving about TB Joshua in the 2010's I just dey laugh . |
izzou:The Ibom Air report has confirmed the incident happened aboard the aircraft. I guess that means the suggestion of refund doesn't apply to this case. That being said, I never said problematic passenger should not be handled by airport security. What I was pointing out to u is that Airlines like normal businessmen generally have a posture of exploring all diplomatic means of settling disputes involving their passengers . It is only when all diplomacy fails they would call security. If they go the way of threatening refund to each and every customer they have issues with.......it won't do their business favors at all. Airlines sef dey 4ck up wella. Airpeace don move my flight which was around 12.20pm to 6pm before . If people passengers of the flight begin fight dem , e go be like say passengers dey constitute nuisance |
iamoyindamola:Aviation business is an international business and it is governed by international laws and international agencies. There are agencies responsible to ensure airlines adhere to safety measures. Insurance companies will rely on this agencies' findings and pay every victim. |
iamoyindamola:The answer you seek is called insurance. Below is how the victims of the India air crash will be compensated by the respective insurers. No amount of funds set aside can sort plane crash liability
|
izzou:You are reading everything wrong based on Ur personal conviction which u are unwilling to change. I never said airlines are scared of lawsuits hence why the don't forcefully evacuate passengers when they are victims. All I'm saying is the reasonable thing they should do and which they mostly do is exercise caution in handling issues that has to do with passengers registering their displeasure with the service they provided. They take caution so they don't get slammed with lawsuit which may have been avoidable. I saw videos of that Ibom lady being dragged off the plane yesterday and in one of the videos the lady's top was torn exposing her boobs. Now we don't know the full story of what really happened but such lady can institute an action against the airline for that. Whether she will win or not; it's not for us non lawyers to decide. When they airlines try to use diplomacy to deal unruly passengers, it is not because they can't use force but they don't know how the use of force may end. A passenger may get paralyzed when being evacuated off a plane and he or she will Win big damages for injuries suffered. In fact, airlines and people who own aircrafts generally are mandated by law to buy insurance that will cover them against passenger liability. |
iamoyindamola:The plaintiff is not the MD of the airline company that will report to the board and have to explain why shareholders will not be receiving dividend. If is the MD of the Company that will have to explain how come most of the company's revenue is spent on legal cost. The airline is a business venture that has shareholders who expect returns on their investment, not story about how the management has to pay so much to settle legal cost |
iamoyindamola:Whether you win or lose a case, you will bear legal cost of defending Ur case in court. That's the point I'm trying to make ; that's the reason they try to avoid lawsuit as much as they can |
iamoyindamola:They will have legal department, but also retain services of top law firms. Almost every company of worth does that. |
izzou:Okay, I hear u. How much is refund? I am telling u that all over the world (not just Nigeria alone), aviation business is a business that is highly susceptible to legal liability. They get slammed with lawsuits every now and then it costs them so much money defending those lawsuits. |
izzou:Aviation business is a business that comes with a whole lot of legal liability. You can kick a passenger off a flight and next Monday he will serve u a million dollar lawsuit. He may not actually win eventually, but u would've expended so much on legal cost if the person na troublesome person wey just an drag u from the lowest court to the highest court. It's not like management of airlines don't wish to give every misbehaving passenger hot hot; but they just don't want to spend a large percentage of their income on settling court awarded damages/legal costs |
semid4lyfe:None of this speaks to why she doesn't have her certificate after serving the punishment meted out to her in accordance with justice and fairness (which is what laws should be about) We can talk about her deserving the punishment of extension after criticizing the government despite being an NYSC member. But we shouldn't fail to speak to the fact that her being denied the said certificate after serving punishment is grossly irresponsible on the part of NYSC and its officials. People should not just make this about her flouting NYSC rules, people should be able to speak to how people like the LGI make it difficult to have a society where citizens can carry-on with their lives after serving punishments prescribed by law. Even in the criminal justice system, after an individual serves a jail term, he or she is allowed to continue to live his life as a freeborn |
GloriousGbola:So u think the people who lie bold-facedly she didn't come for clearance even when she had conversation more than once with the LI at the same venue won't dismiss any time stamped or geostamped evidence she may bring to the fire and tag such evidence as forged/manipulated? Just dey play! |
GloriousGbola:Does she have Superpowers to predetermine what the stooopid LI would do? They gave her extension as punishment and she served the punishment dutifully. How is it her fault that the stooopid LI is not satisfied with her serving the punishment? If Nigeria were not a dysfunctional society and NYSC a useless government program with mumu staff members like the LI, they would clear her like others who came for the clearance and she no human right activist/ opposition party members would be revisiting the story all over again. Now they have used their yeye vindictiveness to ressurect a case that should've been long buried. The LI would have people digging her details up all over again; she and her fellow political civil servants will start talking about they being bullied. |
