Doesn't it affect international flights too? So make Baba book season ticket with GIG or Agofure motors. All the way to New York
The fact that he can't travel by air locally obviously means it will automatically affect his international flights too.

This is the real meaning of he is grounded.

Maybe he will be charging his potential clients money for private jet charter or he will vex and buy himself a private jet. We shall see.

ban the guy for life!
The ban is actually indefinite . It is pending the outcome of the investigations .

It is actually a good way of punishing both parties while waiting for outcome of the investigation to determine who would take the gravest punishment eventually .

I just read his press release on the matter now ; he did really well.

In the spirit of fairness he ordered the civil aviation authorities to place air travel ban on K1 pending the conclusion of the investigations just like the pilot was placed on suspension .

It’s true now.

A cardinal rule in life is that if you do anyhow, you will see anyhow.
You can’t do anyhow and now start acting hurt and surprised that you are seeing anyhow.

Another rule that is worth abiding by is that whenever you see a multitude of people begging you and pleading with you to calm down, that is the time to take a chill pill and review the situation.
Most times if you do not calm down your next decision will be a wrong one.
True.

In this video they were visibly begging him, he just won't listen. He wanted to show them he is well connected and can deal with them

He will first have to explain what he was doing on the tarmac.

Political connection can’t replace a human head. Hopefully he learnt that from this adventure.
This is how u know we have weak institutions.

When I travelled in February, I was drinking a can stout shortly before checking-in. When I got to the point of check-in , the airline officials told me to do fast with my drink. I just had to drop the can and the remaining content in the trash bin before proceeding . If I had insisted on taking the drink with me I'm sure they would've called security on me and I won't even make it to the tarmac before they would've treated my 4ck up.

The fact that Kwam1 was even able to take his drink up to boarding point shows how weak our institutions are. Somebody definitely allowed him to go past the checking point with the drink in the first place, only to cause problem for the boarding officers and the flight crew.

What happened yesterday just showed how allowing big men and VIPs to get away with things will always come back to bite fellow common man in the asss

If you even look ther video, KWAM1 and the airport officials were standing at the nose of the plane (meaning the pilot was definitely seeing them), it was when they must have seen that the pilot was making attempt to move that they moved from there to the side - KWAM1 just happened to react last and that's why he was almost crushed.

There's just too much anyhowness in this country, especially from these our so-called elites.
https://www.facebook.com/sulaimon.kareem.5/videos/1479287823227793

Watch the video from another angle; it seems the pilot got clearance to take off. If u notice one of the officials gestured for the aircraft to advance despite Kwam 1 standing on it's path. Even when the aircraft moved and paused, he still found a way to moved in it's path again while making frantic calls.

Whatever investigations they are doing , they need to let us know how is it that the aircraft got clearance to takeoff and kwam 1 was not evacuated from the runway by airport security. At least all the times I've travelled by air I regularly see airport security officers and airforce officers within premises of the airport. How come they didn't intervene?

But Kwam 1 really put himself in harm's way sha

If not, na "Adieu Papa", "Exit of a Legend", or "Gone too soon" we for they write.

And ValueJet should have not wasted their time sueing him. That's where Unions come in. Just let the Airline Union issue a statement that no airline will lift KWAM 1 until he makes an apology. Then watch him retract that rubbish and apologize [/color]
The problem of the bold is : THIS IS NIGERIA!. While what u suggested is the ideal thing to do, u will be surprised that the airline union would never form a quorum on meting out the appropriate punishment to him. It will shock u that while some airlines will agree to place him on no fly list, others won't for various sentimental interests.

How are we even sure the civil aviation agency and FAAN who are the regulators will end up punishing him? Remember Ganduje the former APC chairman is now the one who heads FAAN ; chances that he will approve prosecution of APC's official musician is very very slim.

Anyways, let's keep our fingers crossed and watchout for the official report on the incident but my gut feeling says he may not even get slap on the wrist just like Oshiomole few weeks ago.

The man really reason Nigerians less 😂.

I’ve seen another angle of the video , Omo he was just lucky . The man actually needs to be prosecuted ; it’s not enough punishing the pilot for breaking safety protocol .

The doors of the aircraft has been long shut before the incident happened . He deliberately stayed in front of the aircraft with the intention of grounding the plane . He was visibly making frantic calls to the who-is-who he knows so that the plane won’t be allowed to fly without him.

Tho the pilot messed up by moving the plane forward , but an argument can be made that the pilot was unable to see him cos where he stayed was directly below the belly of the plane ; I don’t know if pilots can see what happens under there sha .

They need to either put him on no fly list or prosecute him to send a note of warning to other VIPs ; but this is Nigeria so I’m sure he will most likely walk free

That's fair in my opinion
U don’t get ?

I wasn’t talking about his arrogance , I mean he has really been acting well on camera for years until recently . I think maybe around when he turned 60 was when I started seeing him misbehave on camera .

There has always been rumor of how he would shoot his pistol in residential areas when he goes to play and the area boys ask him for “settlement “ . There has always been report of him beating someone or ordering for someone to be “disciplined “, but not much has been seen as evidence of such .

However , for the past few years I’ve been seeing videos of him with very expensive whiskey and him misbehaving in recent times . Like he now talks unguarded and just doesn’t give a 4ck.

That’s why I was wondering what happened to him . Is it because he feels he’s close to 70 and should be treated as an elder or what ?

I just had to go back to read posts on this thread on May 29 2023 and days after to see what people said about Tinubu .

It’s funny the Nigerian based Tinubu supporters who were swarming all over this thread that time have all withdrawn into their shells. Everyone has seen the reality that the man they all clamored for and supported is intent on dragging them deep down below the poverty line . They’ve seen it is not a matter of affirmations or mouthing delusional Wishes like “this admins will favor me and my family “. The catastrophe Tinubu brought with him has touched almost everyone and their families irrespective of whether u called ur fellow citizens names for not voting the man who only does things for himself and few of his cronies .

It’s no surprise that when u look around this thread today, u only see “abroad-based “ Tinubu supporters singing his praise as a trail blazer and master strategist who is supposedly building the nation brick by brick . The “Naija-based” Tinubu supporters have seen through the facade and understood the fact that the “emir of hard life “ doesn’t really care about what happens to the common man.

Now , they are at a dilemma and only support the “abroad-based” BATISTs with likes and shares from behind the shadows . I understand tho; how would one buy PMS for almost 1k liter and come online to sing “on your mandate we shall stand “ ? How does one battle inflation and unstable price of common household items all week and then come online to Dey follow people wey Dey flenjor abroad to Dey shine teeth say Tinubu is “dealing with his naysayers “ , say prosperity is “coming “ ?

Reality ya weyrey gan ! It’s just a little above 2 years since he was installed and everybody wey Dey inside this same naija don see say the master strategist don nearly suffocate the poor.

If u like , let people who don’t live here nor experience what u are feeling gaslight u into believing the fraud in Aso Rock has done anything to make ur life better since he was sworn-in; na u sabi.

KWAM1 nearly got run over by Valuejet plane on the runway . He was carrying alcohol in a bottle which the airline officials informed he can’t carry onboard the plan as it is normal protocol .

He insisted on taking the alcohol on board and ended up spilling the alcohol on the airline official’s body .

Imagine a 68 year old man begging in such unruly manner . 🤦‍♂️

Anyways , the pilot and copilot have been suspend led for nearly running him over when he insisted the plane would not fly without him.

How does secret service fit into treasury department ?

Shouldn't they be under ministry of defence? That seem like a natural fit for them.

That is how it is in a lot of countries.

Customs in the UK is under Treasury Department and Customs in the US too was under Treasury Department until the Department of Homeland Security was created during the peak of the war on terror.

Customs Department primary role historically has always been to generate funds for the government.

Their focus might be less now though compared to us as they have more revenue streams.
Oh really? I didn't know this.

Unfortunately that’s one of the anomalies that ought to be corrected since we returned to democracy but hasn’t been done.

It was during the military era they placed customs within the purview of finance ministry . That’s why they focus so much on revenue generation and neglect other duties of customs service .

I’m not sure of customs of other countries like the UK, US, etc place so much focus on revenue generation like ours do

There are rumors that PDP is planning to field Jonathan as their candidate to come and complete his two terms. They are hoping to sell him to northerners who know there's no legal way he can stay beyond 4 years. I think that was what Jerry Gana was hinting at when he suggested they even have candidate that will best Peter Obi .

My opinion is if Jonathan lose guard and buys into the proposal, he will only help Tinubu secure second term easily. Not only that, he will open himself to serious nasty media attacks from the agbado camp so much that the little prestige he got from conceding the result of 2015 elections; he will lose everything in a twinkle of an eye.
