CrystalTiger:The man is obviously violent and gives the vibe of one who won't hesitate to beat the wife too if she "mess up"...... I am an advocate of punishing/disciplining a child, but what I watched in the video has gone beyond what a father should ever do to his own child. I have seen children who were very stubborn and caused their parents great pain & frustration thereby making their parents resorting to capital punishment, but this one is too much. I had friends who eventually turned out good because of the kind of teachers we had who never spared the rod but no be this kind level o. I believe all is not well in this man's home and the wife may probably be suffering abuse hence why she made and posted the video. Instead of flogging his son like a thief because he failed an exam, I believe he should invest in getting the boy tutors who can help him understand the subjects/courses he's being taught so he can pass the exam. |
iamoyindamola:I think initially Naira Marley thought the whether he bullied Mohbad or was an accessory to his bullying didn't matter and Nigerians will forget about the whole thing within. I believe that was why he refused to address the issue for a long time. It later dawned on him that his career would die a natural death with the whole thing hanging on his head. |
afrodoc:Everyone just kept on chasing clout with the issue till it got stale and majority of Nigerians just zoned out of the whole bullshiit. You would wake in the middle of the night going through social media and you will see people's mother and father doing either TikTok live or IG live about Mohbad's death. 🤦♂️. Those people really milked the unfortunate incident. His family members ; those ones are just too shameless! Chai. That boy suffered in life coming from such family Sha |
afrodoc2:Well, whatever hate Naira Marley gets from the mohbad incident; majority of it stemmed from his relationship/association with Sam Larry who actually bullied Mohbad few months before his demise. Sam Larry bullied Mohbad to the extent that the boy had to petition the Nigeria police alleging threat to his life. He was even alleged to have remarked that if anything happens to him, they should hold Sam Larry responsible. Most Nigerians assume whatever Sam Larry was doing to Mohbad has the blessing of Naira Marley going by how Mohbad departure from Naira Marley's record label was made their relationship sour. The utterances and innuendos from Naira marley and Sam Larry following Mohbad's death also made them persona non grata. More like they just deliberately attracted more bile to themselves thy period with their actions and inactions. That video of Sam Larry going to Mohbad's video set Zlatan in which Sam Larry was seen threatening Mohbad with a cutlass will always haunt him forever. That being said, it was always obvious that the only way to know what actually killed Mohbad was to carry out an autopsy and analyze the result of the autopsy. Any other thing na just emotion and sentiments. Even the fatter of the boy refused to accept the autopsy result and chose to be chasing clout everywhere online.

chrisooblog:I am first interested in whether their culture allows for him to be bare headed. I know the Yoruba culture doesn't allow and I know no Yoruba ọba would go against culture/tradition Irrespective or whatever religion he defers to. When I get a response from a delta person or anyone who knows what the Itsekiri culture says about kings being bare headed, then we can pick the discussion about religion vs tradition from there. |
chrisooblog:In all of these, u've not answered my question. Does the Itsekiri tradition allow him to be bare headed or not? |
chrisooblog:I don't agree with this line of thought. If his tradition says he should not be bare headed, he should not open his head anywhere even in church. However, if his tradition allows for him to open his bare head ; then no wahala. Anybody who wants to obey the pentecostal Christian way of opening bare head should steer clear of being appointed traditional ruler. African traditional religion is the religion which all traditional rulers are expected to observe. |
Abeg people from Delta/Niger Delta please does the Itsekiri culture allow a king to be bare headed? I do hear people talk about similarities between the Itsekiri culture and the Yorubas all the time, but I was surprised seeing the Olu of Warri's picture from a recent palace church service in commemoration of his 4th coronation ceremony. I mean in Yoruba culture a king's bare head would never be seen again from the day he's named Ọba elect till his demise. Even when he's in a church he would either have a crown on his head or a small cap which will cover his head at all times.

Roland17:When religion is involved (in an African setting), it is kinda hard to have logic/reasoning given a chance. I mean there you may have great academics and professionals who function both as career people and religious leaders outside Africa. But here in this part of the world most great academics/professionals the moment they become religious leaders they just let go of their professions. More like they have a belive they can't serve God and still continue with their career. They always believe in doing the religion thing full time. I honestly don't know why tho |
Roland17:Omo, Nigeria no be environment wey encourage person to dey pursue his or her dream o. I know one bros like that who takes master's students tutorials in Quantitative Techniques, Mathematics, Statistics, OR etc. The bros completed his PhD and lobbied for 2 goods years, yet the Lecturing job was not forthcoming despite how good he was. (This bros will take tutorials of courses most students have given up on because the yeye lecturers would always confuse them in class and those students will score at least 70/100 due to his tutorials) I think he gave up the academic dream late last year and early this year he joined one of the big 4's. He joined their actuarial team which I believe he will be a great addition for them. That's how the academics miss a great talent and the students will keep making do with yeye lecturers who are not even half as skilled as he is in teaching/imparting knowledge. The good side for him is he will have a rewarding career financially in the private sector |
Omo! 😲 The level of fiscal irresponsibility under this current government is unprecedented. PS: Atiku Bagudu(Abacha's bagaman) is the minister for budget and planning.
|
iamoyindamola:Congrats bro, may his arrival bring joy and progress to Ur family. |
Nobody is talking about RMAFC planning to increase the salary of Tinubu, Shetimma, their ministers and other public office holders while me and you are being taxed to death. On all fronts the common man is being made to.paid more and more tax including increase in customs duties ; but political elites dey plan to review their own salaries...... No wam! |
swiz123:This is the problem, nowhere in my post did I use the word "average" ; you introduced the word in your reply and then you are already running with it in your further reply to Abokiwam. I said there's nothing special about the booobs in response to tochex101 who claimed " . any man wey say that bweast no enter ein eyes nah bloody liar". I am literally saying the booobs on the girl is not one that warrabts such hyperbolic statement. Men don run booobs wey round and fair pass that one before and that's on periodt! If you've not, then that's fine. |
AbokiWam:You should read the second paragraph of my post again. |
Tochex101:There's actually nothing special about those boobs on her...,,, People are only excited about the manner in which they were revealed to the public. Men don run booobs wey fresh and ripe pass hers as far back as university days ; the days when men no need to break a sweat nor break the bank to run things. |
izzou:Semenyo was both their man. At some point in the run, Semenyo drove the ball away from Konate towards Van Djik. If Van Djik had engaged at that moment, he would've either got the ball or make Semenyo pass the ball to the other Bournemouth player he was thinking he was shadowing. If Semenyo passed at that Moment, the other guy would've been offside and the promising run stiffled. PS: I'm talking from the video and not a still image |
odizeey:Man utd literally did the same when Ur corners started coming in but they were unsuccessful. U are definitely misplacing Ur anger. The fact that at least 3 united players couldn't unsettle Saliba and protect their keeper's area should get Ur angered, not Saliba doing what man utd players did on the other end of the field unsuccessfully. The fact that Man Utd had 9 outfield players and a goalkeeper in the box yet they couldn't deal with just 5 arsenal outfield players successfully during a corner kick should make u angry with them.
|
Amigoss:The so called stat did not speak to the fact that he backed off from his man in a run of play that led to a goal . We are talking about a CB deliberately not engaging an attacker from the opposing team and u are showing stats of duel contested vs duel won. We are saying ur guy ran from a duel. Ur stat didn't address that. |
![]() |
Amigoss:Normally agenda na the currency we deal in on this streets. But pray tell, what justifiable reason do u think Van Djik has to always run away from engaging attackers running towards his goal? |
https://x.com/asake_ola/status/1957138826029380036?s=46 I came across this thread on Twitter . So some men do marry their wives without seeing their wife’s unclothedness (Probably in obedience to some religious injunction of sanctity and decency ). It happens in Christendom and in Islam (the two major religions in Nigeria ) ; depending on the denomination u belong to. In this case, a guy got married to his wife and ended up divorcing after 3 weeks on the premise that he was deceived by the covering cloth that usually covers the lady’s bosom while they were courting . He claimed he was deceived and didn’t know she wasn’t busty . Now some internet users are saying it’s not possible ; they are saying there’s no way he would claim the hijab deceived her , that it is easy to know if a woman has big booobs with or without hijab. One person in the comment section said “ Afẹ́fẹ́ tí fẹ́, a ti rí ọyan Alhaja " 😂

iamoyindamola: ![]() He leave the decision of the ref begin speculate on what he thinks should have been his decision. |
swiz123:I don't know about ur beef/agenda with Ibime, but truth be told u were right on that Guehi/Palace situation. U were proven right by the ref's decision and even the commentators mentioned it that there wasn't any foul in Guehi getting physical with Caicedo. |
And the nightmare continues at Old Trafford; the theatre of nightmare 😎 |
Iamoyindamola this is the law they used as basis for disallowing that palace’s goal
|
Una no outscore una opponents today? 🤷♂️ One would’ve thought the moment Jackson was replaced , una new strikers go Dey score 5 goals per game |
iamoyindamola:Because the VAR felt Guehi violated one of The football rules that guides free kick and walls set during free kick |
iamoyindamola:No that’s not what they said . They said according to International football standard laws , that palace player should Be at least 1 meter away from Chelsea’s wall |
TheLequte:True 💯 I don’t know why the VAR didn’t check the incident or at least let the ref be called to review it himself on the screen |
This law being given as reason for disallowing Eze's goal, hope to see it applied in other matches going forward. |
