iamoyindamola: ![]() Elder don too get many 4ck ups sha. Wetin dey always muze me is how he just wants to use strong head to carry on and even throw shots at people as if the streets will forget. |
KingTom:100% True. Dapo Abiodun's mugshot is everywhere on the internet , yet he is a sitting two-term governor in Nigeria.
|
izzou:Exactly! It's just like buying yam at 1k per tuber in Otukpo Benue state and trying to disprove someone else's claim of buying yam at 5k per Tuber at Mile 12 Market in Lagos. |
semid4lyfe:It is local rice that is bagged in those bags of rice on Bokku poster I Shared up there. That "Big bull" brand is produced and bagged locally by WACOT Rice Limited. They have a mill in Kebbi state, so yes it is local rice. The price rice is sold by the average "Monday Omo Igbo oni rice " is almost same with Bokku's; Foreign rice is way more expensive than those prices sha . Edit By the way, u claim u bought the rice directly from a mill; I think that in itself nullifies ur argument that the Twitter guy wasn't playing propaganda. He claimed the market/retail price was 55k which is not true. That means he was trying to use the price at the mill to argue the real retail price in the open market. That is exactly what propaganda is |
semid4lyfe:Well, Around same time I bought 25kg for 42k from a nearby store. If u check my post up there, u will see evidence of Bokku store selling 25kg for 40k and 50kg for 78k around same period. The guy posted on 17th May claiming 50kg was 55k and Bokku posted same was available for 78k between period of 11th to 24th May 2025. |

izzou:Omo! Buhari really 4cked this country sha; that man knack this country raw! ![]() |
KingTom:How many stores sef dem wan close? How many staff the consumer's protection agency get nationwide wey go carry out the ridiculous recommendation? The same Nigeria where the price of PMS in Sango, Ota, Agabra, etc in Ogun state is different from price of PMS in Abule Egba Lagos state? ![]() |
izzou:Shebi na here we dey when they were suggesting that consumer protection goes after market associations, superstore/supermarket owners, etc to force them to reduce price despite inflation figures on the rise. Dem say na the market sellers wicked. |
izzou:No matter how u advise some people , they won't listen; dem plenty on social media wella. When I read some of them's takes I just shake my head. Look at the two in the link below, on top matter wey no concern them they will spend 2 good months in remand before the judge even hears their case or appeal for bail. They carried placards alleging Mohbad's widow killed him. That one petitioned the police to have them arrested and prosecuted and the presiding judge has ordered for them to be remanded till September. https://www.nairaland.com/8486720/two-tiktokers-remanded-accusing-mohbads Sometimes when I read news like this, I just feel say some Nigerians no really like freedom. |
izzou:There’s propaganda and there’s actual governance . Below is a tweet from one of the useful ediots parading themselves as influencers who was gaslighting people with the reduced price of rice about 2 months ago . About that same period he claimed rice is now 55k for 50kg , Bokku which is arguably the cheapest retailer of rice was selling 25kg of their cheapest brand for 40k . Funny thing is u will see people who don’t live in Nigeria but supporting the government from afar will be referencing those tweets as evidence that prosperity is here ![]()

Economy: "We've seen it, the country is much better, it's more safer. There's increase, prosperity in the country." - Dr Tunji Alausa, Education Minister
This is the Modus Operandi of the current APC government, they will dish out so called facts/stats that don't align with the current realities of the everyday Nigerian and when u challenge if they will either call u blind or claim u are an enemy of good news. I remember how there was a propaganda campaign on Twitter around may/June this year talking about how 50kg of rice now sells for as low as 50 something thousand naira; only for me to buy 25kg to gift to an acquaintance few weeks after for 40 something thousand. 🤦♂️ I don’t know when these people will realize that propaganda is not governance at all.

Old takers like Zule Zoo, African China, Zack Orji, etc alleged campaigning for Tinubu by sharing 500 and Biscuit at Mararaba
https://x.com/chukserice/status/1950318760369541243?s=46 I thought campaign season hasn't started yet and any form of campaign at this period is illegal according to the law because INEC is yet to release the elections' timetable. Funny thing is if the citizens being governed wake tomorrow and decide they want to protest against the hardship they are enduring under the government, the police will saying they can't be allowed to gather and express their grievances. |
This country ehn; everyone with their own agenda . So this one wants the government to reward journalists who went to Morocco to cover the event for their respective brands/employers ? As how na ? 🤷♂️

iamoyindamola:Anybody that has seen how badly we have treated our athletes in the past should be happy for this current set of players getting their mouthwatering rewards in due time. |
Some people are claiming $100k awarded by Tinubu to each of the 24 Falcon players is too much. They N160m and 3 bed-room flats for each of the players is too much. I've been seeing this discussion on twitter. Me I think na God wan butter the bread of those ladies and nobody should rain on their parade by dragging politics into the mouthwatering compensation they got from the president. You can tell the president to address other issues like salaries of Lecturers, medical practitioners, etc. without making it seem like the players don't deserve what they have rightfully earned. At least the money will set the home-based players up for life if they manage it well, even if they don't eventually get to play abroad. These set of players won't come years later to claim NFF or FG abandoned them after winning for Nigeria. |

iamoyindamola:I followed the news, but some people claimed he has been released, although I don't know how true that info is. They claimed he even did a Live Video on IG after the news of his arrest broke. Whatever the case may be, the good thing is the promoter of the company he allegedly defrauded (Doyin Group) is an old money that cannot be threatened with his cult affiliations and most likely has higher connections than him in law enforcement and even in the judicial system. I think what will happen is he either returns the over 200m he is due to refund them on the land or gets duly prosecuted. At least if he sells any of his luxury cars, he should be able to realize the outstanding debt he owes. |
What’s going on here ? Is a war about to start ?
|
TemporaryHansel:That’s why students are always begging for at least 40 E ( Let my people go ) in compulsory courses |
raumdeuter:Yes , u can waive an elective course if u have passed the total number of units required of you to graduate . Let’s say over 8 semesters , wrote different courses with cumulative units of 160. Some schools may allow you to graduate after passing 155 units by allowing u to waive some elective courses u failed . They hardly allow I waive compulsory courses except maybe the senate just approve special waivers for that graduating year |
iamoyindamola:😂😂😂 I just Dey look am |
TemporaryHansel:Who tell u say na all courses dem Dey waive ? U never hear of compulsory courses before ? |
Some lecturers are just saddists and na young lecturers Dey always wicked like this .
|
afrodoc:Noted. |
Emaprince:Personally, I feel once there's a visible sign warning motorists the police have a right to arrest offending motorists. However, assuming everyone plying the road must know about the technicalities of that route without any warning sign is unfair. For example, there are roads in Lagos that are allows two-way traffic from morning till 3pm. Once it is 3pm, that road becomes a one-way and u will see LASTMA and taskforce effecting arrest once it is 3.01pm. The link bridge between Egbeda-Akowonjo and Agege-Dopemu is a classic example of this. There is a road sign at the start of the bridge warning motorists. Anybody arrested there have no excuse and I learnt LASTMA collects as much as 200k before releasing any arrested vehicle |
afrodoc:Na am , na am! ![]() |
Roland17:This is a video of her speaking on it in the past
|
GloriousGbola:This bold is an assumption that may not be true. I don’t live abroad and can’t claim to know for sure if there aren’t road signs for almost every potential traffic violation. Why not let’s ask people who live abroad if there are signs for all of the things u mention up there or if drivers are just expected to do them ? livelongnprospa what’s it like in Canada? |
GloriousGbola:More reason why a proper sign should be placed there to discourage any driver that may want to make a turn there. |
izzou:I am not familiar with the particular road , but I know it is common sense for road signs to be installed on roads to prevent traffic offence. It is the responsibility of government to provide traffic signs to prevent accident and prevent traffic offence. Now if that is not provided and individuals decided to erect such signs should it be pulled down? Nowhere did I justify irresponsibility in my post. I am simply saying there's an onus on the government to put in place warning signs on roads like it is done in normal modern society. |
izzou:Some people(mostly strangers) probably don't know there's no turning there , hence the reason people who do erected a visible sign there. I hope u know it is not everybody that plies a particular road know where to turn and where not to. There's one like that around ICM in Ikeja but there's a sign there warning road users not to turn there. At least if the sign at this particular place in the video is visible, nobody will claim ignorance of the law. Why did they pull the sign down? |
