The only thing I find too good to be true and equally unrealistic about the series is the way they shoot loads of guns on the streets , private properties and even in church yet somehow the police don’t always show up. They make it seem like London police is like Naija police that don’t always make it on time to the crime scene no matter how long the crime took to happen .

How’s it that the FG and military authorities are yet to react to this incident ? They just kept mum like the lives of these soldiers aren’t worth a nickel .

Nigerian politics is actually about characters and not processes or any yeye institutions. If u watch the AGF talking yesterday deliberately dancing around the Rivers issue u would've seen the handwriting on the wall; they paint a narrative that soothes them even if it reeks of bias and they run with it. Imagine make AGF say Fubara teleguide the vandals to where the pipelines are to wreak havoc. Does that not show u that they were out to get Fubara at all cost and wouldn't mind garnishing the whole story with their own biased assumption to represent facts?

So u think Peter Obi attending the press conference will now change the status quo when Fubara himself don go siddon somehere while accepting his fate?

I've said it before and I will say it again; Peter Obi has shown extreme weakness in the face of these bad leaders.
I wish he had sowore's activist mindset blended together with his technical acumen.

Peter Obi is a knowledgeable man but his man-management has proven to be zero.
His refusal to assume full charge and authority over labor party since after the election and the breakdown of all new converts into the party shows his abysmal leadership. It's almost as if he had zero political instincts needed to attain leadership and maximize follwership.

Peter Obi has failed us all. Look at Kenneth okonkwo, look at valentine ozigbo and many others. People who were strongest allies and have come to a conclusion that Obi does not know what exactly he wants.

Peter Obi killed every enthusiastic political hopes I had. He has thoroughly failed as a leader of the opposition. We made a mistake naming the movement obidient movement because detaching from the man now seems almost impossible but obidients need a better leader.

So u want Peter Obi to go and fight for Fubara who worked closely with Wike to rig the presidential elections results in Rivers state to the detriment of Peter Obi?

Nigeria's Chief Of Naval Staff, Ibok Ibas, Allegedly Locks Up Navy Captain For Six Days In Toilet For Uncovering Fraudulent Act

This was revealed in a 10-page petition to military authorities dated December 12, 2019 and signed by the victim, who is seeking justice.

Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas, has been accused of locking up Navy Captain Emmanuel Ekpe Owen (NN1538) in toilet for six days after exposing his financial impropriety.

This was revealed in a 10-page petition to military authorities dated December 12, 2019 and signed by the victim, who is seeking justice.

The petition partly reads, "I regret to humbly state the victimisation and injustice of my person vide a petition on the present Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibot Ette Ibas, to the Commander-In-Chief of our great country Nigeria.

"The genesis of my problem with the present CNS could be traced to 1995 and 1996 when we were on national assignment in Liberia under the Economic Community of West African States Monitoring Group."

A source familiar with the matter told SaharaReporters that Owen was assigned to ECOMOG as Supply Officer in 1996.

The Nigerian Naval Ship AMBE was said to have been assigned to ECOMOG fleet under the command of Retd Captain Dada Labinjo (then commander), with present CNS (Ibas) then a Lieutenant Commander and second in command.

On one of NNS AMBE's trip to Nigeria in 1996 for Back Loading Military Ordinance, five officers and 33 ratings were dropped from the ship and assigned to various duties at Western Naval Command, Apapa, Lagos.

It was gathered that a total of 45 personnel were left onboard NNS AMBE, which eventually returned to Moronvia, Liberia, for continuation of ECOMOG duties.

The source said Captain Owen stumbled on the allowance file for the personnel onboard at the time and discovered that the present CNS had inflated the names of personnel to 85 instead of 45 with various rates attached to each recipient and already paid.

It was gathered that Owen summoned courage and confronted Ibas about the issue, insisting that the discrepancies in the ECOMOG allowance could put the ship in trouble and embarrass the Nigerian Navy.

Upon realising that Owen was in the know of his financial malfeasance with respect to the disbursement of allowances for 85 personnel instead of 45, Ibas ordered him locked inside a toilet for six days.

Ibas went further to accuse Owen of all sorts of offences including dereliction of duty.

At the moment, Ibas is said to be deliberately refusing to promote Owen but instead pencilled him down for early retirement next week.

Normally, Owen is expected to proceed on retirement in 2026.

The CNS is said to be responsible for the ordeal of Labinjo and his wife, who were detained for one year in an underground cell.

They have now been transferred to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for prosecution.

When SaharaReporters contacted spokesperson for the Navy, Suleiman Dahun, over the matter, he said he was not aware of the incident and declined further comments

You are right that he was going to be impeached but whether the impeachment will stand is another matter entirely cos they would’ve needed the judiciary to buy-in on the whole impeachment move .

Money would be given to the stakeholders who will gladly throw Fubara under the bus, If he is not careful it might lead to even jail time

Wike knows law, He knows violence, He knows street and he has the backing of the FG. At this point Fubara has no cards on his side

When there is breakdown of law and order in a state which the governor cannot control, a State of Emergency becomes necessary. With pipelines being blown up this was the red line

The Admiral is probably a Wike nominee, For the next 6months allocation will not touch Fubaras hand and he also needs to be careful not tp be roped into anything criminal

Within those 6months, LG allocation and chairman will be layered with Wikes men, The Attorney General that was in Fubaras corner would have been spoken to

In all of these Fubara lost as he never enjoyed his tenure for 3months , He didnt even settle down to chop his money an going forward he cant even chop money cos every way to nail him will be explored even if na #1m mismanaged

Tinubu has always sided with Wike in the feud and at no point did he propose any solution that favored Fubara .

Yea Fubara lost to Wike and the Judiciary in his back pocket following the recent pronouncements of the Supreme Court .But we all know that all his actions prior to now was him relying on conflating judgements being issued by the state high court and federal high court every eke market day .

That’s where I’m going; a refinery can actually source its respected from anywhere in the world while an exploration company like Shell and Chevron can’t .

There’s a taint of hypocrisy in this state of emergency declaration and Tinubu did not hide his bias against Fubara sha .

I read through Tinubu’s address and some of the “allegations “ he leveled against Fubara are ridiculous . One of such was Tinubu referring to the militants who threatened violence last week; he’s saying Fubara did not deny them till now .

He also said Fubara did not do anything to prevent the blowing of the two pipelines earlier today .

How exactly is the governor going to do that ? Shey na him Dey control police and other security agents ni ? Is DSS. not supposed to be an intelligence agency responsible for gathering intelligence to prevent such incidence ? Is the DSS not under control of the FG again ?

Looking at the powers granted the appointed administrator on policy formulation and that such policies will be ratified and gazetted by the Federal executive council , it only means Wike won eventually because the same Wike who threatened to blow up the country if Ijaws blow up pipelines still remains part of the FEC .

I won’t be surprised if the appointed administrator conducts LGA election within the 6 months period and Wike guys are smuggled in to take over the whole political structure before the 6 months period elapses .

They can get crude from anywhere , at least Dangote gets crude from America and other sources outside Nigeria .

U will be surprised that for core technical roles most companies actually don’t comply with that “employ indigene first “ mantra . I’m saying this based on reality of what I know ni o, not an assumption .

What if it is an essential service which the state itself needs ?

Let’s say for example the BUA refinery which the state actually needs their tax to boost their own revenue figures ; what if the promoter of the refinery says he can’t afford to fill the refinery with indigenes who are inexperienced and decides to go with expats?

The question is: Who will pay for the training of those local talents ? Is it the same private employees that will allow them learn on the job when they could get experienced hires and save themselves the hassle ?
