iamoyindamola: That man gave passed his time, no matter the punishment given to him now won't hold any water He destroyed the country and ruined a lot of lives
Exactly. Me I think people should just allow him to waste away in solitude , there's no need giving him attention now. People should just ignore him and use that to send a message to people coming behind that evil men will be abandoned and ignored in their old age just like IBB.
I no expect people to dey give him all this kind attention they are giving him. The crazy thing is that it is even the people that were part of his victims that are even giving him audience now.
I saw a thread on Twitter where people who are in their 40's and above were talking about the incidents that happened in the riots that followed June 12 1993 in their respective areas .The narrated how anti riot policemen shot their close friends, how people crawled in the gutter to escape bullets flying up and down, etc . How do people forget all of these things and start to care about what the man that is responsible for all that carnage has to say in his N50,000 book ?
PDPGuy: IBB’s autobiography costs 50,000 Naira in Naija, while you can get it for only $7.99 on Amazon kindle 😁
Why should anybody even want to buy that crook of a man's autobiography sef? Person wey join part of those wey spoil this country reach level wey the country dey today.
iamoyindamola: Ibime will go and bring those retired MEND members or the likes of bumpy Johnson, Luciano to entertain him You are right about the wire I got lost because of how old the series was I didn't even finish s3 same with 24
Shebi I tell u that The Wire na series wey go bore person to death. I don't just know why people dey farm PR for the series sef say na one of the greatest series ever
Amigoss: With this,it doesn't look that bad but what about flooding in the area and places in close proximity during raining season...
I think it's normal for places like that to experience minimal flodding during raining season. V.I for eaxample , if it rains heavily for an hour or two u will see water everywhere.
What matters is having a good drainage system to aid the water quick draining of the flood when the rain stops.
It's been over one year since Tinubu ordered implementation of Oronsaye report within 12 weeks.
I remember that time, it was shared here as "Sad News" to taunt people who already know before hand that the news is just one of the numerous promise and fail moves by the Tinubu administration. See how 12 weeks don turn to 1 year and we no hear anything again.
Amigoss: This no be bad belle oo but genuine question....All this sand filling lagos are doing around water bodies, shey e no go get adverse effect like this?
Make one day we go see island or the whole Lagos dey under water
My dad told us that during Lateef Jakande administration as governor in Lagos State, the Lagos state government built Low Cost housing estates in different parts of the state and it was available for the regular low income/middle income earners resident in the state to apply and get allocated.
My dad and his friend applied, got awarded and when they were at the point of allocation they were asked to choose a location. They both preferred Iponri housing estate.(which is very close to Lagos Island if u want to follow Ikorodu road through to Eko bridge). It was at this point they were informed that the site of the Iponri Estate was sand filled and that the sand filling has a lifespan of over 80 years before the residents start experiencing serious environmental issues in that axis.
My dad was concerned and opted for an estate in a location different from the Iponri estate while his friend went ahead to pick the Iponri location. My dad was concerned that even though he won't be alive to see what happens after the 80 years lifespan expires, his children will and he doesn't want to leave behind an asset that will turn out to be a curse. His friend on the other hand said he doesn't really about what happens after his death jare and he was allocated 3 bedroom flat at the Iponri Estate. They are both dead now and we've only used about 41 or 42 years out of the 80 years time frame.
Whether there will be issue with the sand filling after 80 years, only time will tell.

You supporting a Senior Executives or Directors: 5 years (Required) Personal Assistant: 5 years (Required)
People doing this PA/EA jobs are the real MVPs o. Sometimes I do wonder if they really have a life of their own outside their oga's life and schedule.
This job overview made me remember few years ago when I wanted to join one of the companies Aig-imoukhuede was the chairman. The last stage in the recruitment process is for you to meet Aig one-on-one, have a chat with him and in the course of the chat he will decide whether u will get hired or not. U fit don do 5 stages of interview and pass , but u won't get employed until u meet him , he sizes u up and takes the hiring decision.
The chat was scheduled for 7pm on a weekday. When I got there, I discovered there were others like me who wanted to join other companies Aig was also the chairman and meeting him was the last stage of their own recruitment process as well.
They started calling people one after the other into Aig's office around to 9 that night. It didn't get to my turn until some minutes to 10pm that night.
The man didn't even look like someone who was ready to go home when I was leaving his office after our chat.
The man had 2 EA's/PA's waiting on him whom were the ones calling candidates one after the other into his office. They had their office close to his.
For weeks after that day , I couldn't stop myself from imagining the kind of mess those guys' personal life will look like. I mean how will they have social life or a healthy family life when they are in the office with their boss as late as 10pm in the evening? I mean what time do they even get to spend with their loved ones?
I'm not surprised this particular job is offering 800k and above because that PA/EA job takes a lot from whoever is doing it, perhaps the good pay will be some kind of respite for such person sha .
GloriousGbola: listen to all the woman said he is instructing hr to sack people without due process \ he is instructing her to sign documents he is demanding subservient loyalty
that is how trump is running the us right now
Yeah, I heard all of those parts, but u know one can argue that Trump is doing all of that to feed his ego and the larger than life imagery of himself.
As for Akpabio, we know he's doing all of that to just amass wealth to himself and to protect himself for all the times he has dipped his fingers into the cookie jar.
It is unfortunate that the person described by the woman in this video turned out to become Nigeria's senate president. I wonder what other countries actually think about Nigeria, they must really think we are a joke in this country.
Ballzproblem2: More reasons why you need to to leave if you talk them go call you wailer, our buying power are being eroded as we speak ,no way they will raise minimum wage or nysc allocation without hiking fuel price,we are bleeped.
I pity NYSC people sha. Since May 2024 when they increased minimum wage till now, they are still receiving N33k instead of the N77k they promised them.
Imagine 10 good months of being hopeful and not seeing any change in their monthly allowance. To think that the normal NYSC calendar year sef no pass 12 months.
Ballzproblem2: I don't think nigerians know how bleeped they are, because of if they do they'll stop procreating here and start looking for how to leave Nigeria, wether na the nearest Ghana .
It will get worse ,if you like keep praying,if you like keep engaging in tribalism.
To be sincere I can't see just one single thing this Tinubu's administration has done that has been to the benefit of the common man on the street. It just seems he came to power to make life extremely difficult for the average Nigerian.
How people supporting him manage to look at the situation of things, turn back and see positives in his administration for the past 2 years is what I really don't understand.
GloriousGbola: My last born 8 years old is fasting through the day and going to school. His siblings did the same when they were his age. And that is how it Should be. Fasting is not an excuse to lie down and sit on your ass. You are supposed to feel what the poor feel. Do you think when the poor are hungry they sit down? When you are poor, a day you don't hustle is a day you don't eat
A lot of devout Muslims fast one to two days during the week. Outside of ramadan Will they also refuse to go to work because of this? Will they demand extra privileges because of this?
Small wonder Muslims are sometimes mocked for putting on weight during Ramadan.
then again - this is really about POLITICAL ISLAM and imposition on unbelievers
It is all just funny because they are making it seem like this is the first time Ramadan fast will be holding in Nigeria.
Or maybe it is the whole Muslim-Muslim presidency that is giving them moral to make these moves; I don't really understand
GloriousGbola: This is the reality of a majority Muslim state. Disregard for the rights or convenience of others. Especially kaffirs. Given them enough power and they will shut down the entire state.
It is the same way that completely blocking the road during Friday prayers is a religious right
It is also a pointer to the lethargic laziness of the northern Muslim. It is Ramadan right now in the sw and everyone is still working. No one is making excuses that it is Ramadan and so we cannot get stuff done. I am referring to Muslims. We have a project right now and my guys are pulling their weight. No story.
But I warned a junior friend in nnpc - do not expect any thing to be done this Ramadan. Any urgent issue is going to have to be deferred. The same people who shut down meetings because they have to go and pray will also shut down work.
It is our right to shut down schools and shut down private lessons and this is fine because it is the law. This is the slow and gradual encroachment of political Islam all over the north.
as always it is not backed by reality. How many of the pauperised northern states have the resources to go all out and shut down the state for Ramadan if they have no faac handouts from the westernised federal government?
These jokers who had to take money from drunken kaffirs like wike to finance their elections have the reserves to shut down the state?
This is also why they will never leave Nigeria. Because they cannot survive on the BS they are peddling.
At times I just wonder if it is the same Islam that is being practised by south westerners and south-south Muslims that northern Muslims are also practicing .
There are sizable number of Muslims in the Edo state and all over the south west , yet u don’t see them calling for work to stop or schools to close because of Ramadan . In fact, when we were much younger the Muslim students are as active as any other student during Ramadan and it doesn’t really affect their performance in school .
How Ramadan suddenly turn to ground for shutting down schools in this age and time in the north is what I don’t really understand one bit !
"According to Education Law that commenced 1st January 1964 and which still operates in all northern states except Kogi, the Governor may, among other powers, determine “holidays and the dates of opening and closing institutions”.
Therefore, what some northern states did regarding Ramadan break is therefore in order. " Aliyu Tilde
How is this the same as a governor closing down institution of learning for 30 days because a fraction of the students are fasting ?
When did fasting suddenly turn reason for schools to be closed down ?
Why should Muslims and non Muslims be denied right to learn because of Ramadan ?
I hope you know WAEC 2025 starts towards ending of April 2025 and ends June 2025. The so called Ramadan break will rob students of over one month of learning and this will definitely impact on the eventual results of the students . Even with a full academic calendar and extra months of coaching arranged , the WAEC results from the north is still below average .
It’s just unfortunate that no matter how reckless and irresponsible some politicians’ decisions, actions and inactions may be in this country ; we will always people like this Aliyu Tilde making justification for it .
A40: 1000%. It's not just the poor salary but the latter part. That time to upskill that these useless jobs will not offer you cos they work you to the bone and finish you with stagnation
Those jobs are time wasters and equally talent wasters
GloriousGbola: A contract job is 90% of the time a trap. You are doing the exact same thing as your colleagues for a fraction of the salary. In business terms your employer has no motivation to convert you and start paying you in a full salary with associated benefits.
You will only transition if you have a boss that has the pull and is willing to fight for you to be converted
Or your company suddenly has high employee turnover.
The only real hope for contract staff is often getting employment at a competitor that is expanding and looking for experienced hires.
One of guys spent like 10 years in shell as contract. At a point he started actively looking for work when he saw the severance package of contract guys.
Hard work is a waste. You have to work smart and strategically.
You get! It takes serious efforts and luck to move up high if u take some low paying jobs with little or no prospect in ur early days in the labor market.
One thing I have noticed is that some of those extremely low paying jobs will use u so much that u will not even be able to attend interviews that will enable u change jobs.
I have seen people get stuck on being private school teacher for years simply because the school pitches u to teach 3 to 4 subjects, make u a vice principal and still makes u organize extra lessons for the students. Such person will claim teaching those kids is his passion and he would not even know when some serious companies are recruiting. His degree will just be fetching him small change to keep body and soul together , while his peers would've moved on to greater things.
I've also seen people get stuck on contract jobs , giving their all, working hard and getting paid peanuts. Meanwhile, when that person's younger brother graduates 3 years later and gets a graduate trainee job, in the space of 2 years the brother would've left him behind as far as financial buoyancy is concerned. You will now see junior bro dropping the majority money anytime they want to either celebrate their parents' birthday or carryout a specific capital intensive project in the family.
Amoto94: You were among those that do discourage people from taking low-paying jobs if the guy heeded your advice from naysayers he wouldn't have gained valuable experience that he used to progress in life. My advice to people is to take a job have an exit strategy then give your job your all. A colleague once recommended me for a role that's 5x what I was earning in a fintech company I felt a sibling needed it more and asked him to pass the opportunity to my sibling, it didn't work out eventually. He said he loved my work rate and dedication that's why he recommended me for the role.
I discourage people from taking low paying job that makes absolute no sense and appears to be modern day slavery instead of valuable learning experience for the employee.
I know you think you are on to something here, but I will prove to you that you are not. Below is one of the low-paying jobs you posted that I criticized and will still criticize from now till eternity because it makes absolutely no sense to me.
Amoto94: Hiring: Front-End Developer (Remote, Nigeria) at Sqoolr NG
Salary: ₦70,000 monthly
Role Description: We are building an MVP and will like someone with a sense of ownership to join our rocket 🚀. The front-end developer will implement visual elements that users see and interact with in a web/mobile application. Day-to-day tasks may include collaborating with back-end developers & designers, designing user interactions on web pages, and optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Qualifications: * 2 years of ACTIVE front-end development with HTML, CSS & Javascript * Sufficient experience with React framework * Understanding of version control and GitHub * Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and with a sense of ownership in a remote setting
Send CV including links (not GitHub) to your previous projects to hello@sqoolr.ng. The title of the email should be the job position.
This is a job that requires you to possess a skill u must have spent hundreds of study hours to learn, hundreds of thousands naira worth of resources and time to learn etc. Now imagine that job requesting that you have two years of active experience only for you to earn the minimum wage of N70k? Is that one and same with the Man that worked at Mr. biggs as a fresh graduate for the sum of N27,500 in 2004?
For your information, Olagoke Balogun worked for Mr. Biggs in 2004 when minimum wage was N5,500 and he was earning N27,500 as a fresh graduate without any experience. How is that the same with someone working as an experienced front-end developer for minimum wage of N70,000.00 in big 2025? Haba!
See ehn, I will not discourage anybody from taking a low-paying job with reasonable terms and conditions of service but when I see a job that looks like salvery, I will advise a young person to rather go for an internship role where he or she will be afforded opportunity to learn without unnecessary pressure of striving to deliver on KPI's that don't do justice to his or her peanut pay.
My reason for discouraging people from taking low paying jobs that appears like slavery contract is because I have seen young people get stuck in such jobs, having no time for other things like self-development and further skill acquisition while other bigger opportunities pass them by. You will see individuals stuck for 10 years on a low paying contract service work while those that didn't take such jobs back then got graduate trainee roles later which ends up propelling their career.
While I understand that the Obasa-Meranda rift and the drama surrounding the tussle for Lagos state house of assembly seat is being explained away as the will of the party being supreme above all; one thing nobody is addressing is the criminal aspects of the debacle .
It is on record that when DSS invaded the house of assembly at the height of the whole rift between the lawmakers , they found brand new pump action rifles and ammunitions in Obasa’s office . This in itself is a crime which threatens national security and should be properly investigated .
I wonder what explanation wiouod be given for Obasa to have had several pump action rifles carefully tucked in his office and then clearing him to br fit to continue to be the speaker of the house s.
What is happening is a shame no matter how u choose to look at it . Except of course, if ur conscience is dead or u are programmed to defend anything that has APC stamp on it .
