The statement is ridiculous but when the criteria for who becomes PR in most government orgs is the person that has the loudest mouth and cracks the most obscene jokes when hanging out over Gulder, this is what you get.

I think the major issue here which nobody is willing to address is why was a policeman posted to be the orderly of those boys? Since Xhaka left, everything he's did for us, he is still doing. And he's aged like fine wine with improvement as well. I miss his out of the blues shots. His replacement can't even shot to save himself.

Xhaka only did something for us for one full season(His last season with us). The earlier seasons he used at Arsenal he was more of a liability than an asset. He scores a handful of shots and then goes on to collect red cards by dishing out malicious tackles .

The other times he's not copping red cards, he's going too soft in midfield allowing opposition players free entry and free exit. Let's just thank God for the addition of Partey to our midfield and Arteta doing a good job to help Xhaka become a better player after the misery he has caused us in the past.

It is not a reasonable question because Nigeria borrowed to fund fuel subsidies and FX control. The savings are that the country is not increasing debt to finance fuel subsidies, but Nigeria is now using debt to pay old debt.

The better question is why there isn't any fiscal reform, cut in government spending, or cut in wastage such as funds wasted on travelling, private jets, bloated government, budget padding and housing.

Nigeria need better opposition politicians.

It is a reasonable question because just November 2024 here Wale Edun was quoted as saying the government has saved as much as $20bn on subsidy removal and floating of naira . It is ideal for the senator to ask how that fund has been spent thus far.

When the minister gives an update on that then we can start looking at whether the funds saved was equitably spent or whether it was spent on frivolities as usual. There is nothing stopping anybody to tackle the government heads-on over its bloated cabinet, unnecessary foreign travelling expenses , etc., but we also demand to know how the money not spent on subsidy was spent.

At least we all know whether they pay subsidy or not, the government will still spend money on those aforementioned frivolities.

If you know how budget and Govt. financial figures work, there is no specific figure/amount that is saved from subsidy removal because there was no budget for it in the 1st place and there is no money generating account for subsidy. The minister can only project what could have been budgeted and spent on subsidy, but since it has been removed, it means money that could have been budgeted and spent on subsidy was budgeted and spent on other government expenditures.

So the question the senator asked is a little dumb in the way he asked it.

If it's this simple as u have mentioned here, why can't Wale Edun repeat same in the presence of everyone seated?

Do u honestly this is something he needs to say behind closed doors? Couldn't he have just said this is the amount we projected for this year's subsidy and that same amount has been added to the budget?

Few days ago there was a video of Chief Razaq Okoya’s Kids ( Eleganza ) abusing the Naira and their police orderly was showing in the video . People criticized the video online and pointed out how the boys abused Naira in the presence of a law enforcement agent without them getting arrested like dem Cubana Chief priest and Bobrisky .

Today the police is saying they have arrested and detained the police orderly attached to the boys who was in the video but somehow they are silent about the main culprits ; the billionaire’s sons who actually abused the Naira.

1. Dangote has given PR gig out to some influencers to run PR for his product so as to have an edge over NNPC. You know Dangote reduced retail price of his PMS to N935/liter via MRS and Ardova Petroleum retail stations and NNPC in response reduced theirs to N925/liter via NNPC retail stations. So the next thing is to run PR that his fuel lasts longer than NNPC's

2. The people who are sympathetic to Dangote and who bought the narrative that Dangote's PMS is the purest out there are doing an unpaid PR work on the mere assumption that his fuel lasts more and burns slower than NNPC's. Like u rightly said, it is almost impossible to measure at what rate ur car consumes fuel due to mechanics messing with most of our Tokunbo vehicles.

I've bought fuel in both NNPC & MRS recently and I can't really say I saw any difference in how long the fuel lasts. All these people on twitter definitely have more to tell us. The whole thing just reeks of few months ago when FG gave out CNG PR gigs and everywhere u turn to on Twitter u see somebody hyping CNG. Today the whole noise has died a natural death, I guess the PR money don expire

Swiz is just doing everything possible to stan Haverz ni jare. Every Arsenal player knows Havertz is useless in midfield. There's no obvious quality of midfielder u can point to that he excels at.

He is not a good passer of the ball, he doesn't create chances as a midfielder and doesn't even have what it takes to close down opposition players in our midfield.

He's the least effective amongst all players Arsenal have available for midfield role. Arteta is not crazy to have moved him upfront to at least use his height to balance his average football ability.
