Fkforyou: Firstly, no one is quoting you out of context, three people can’t disagree with you on the same thing.
Secondly, no one is pushing any agenda here, at least not me. That line can’t work with me. You do know not everyone can agree with whatever you post abi? And your opinion isn’t fact, especially in a public forum like this where we are having an open debate and counter opinions.
Finally, You request for not being quoted wether in this case or any other case (I don’t know which one of it you meant) is duly noted. You literally saw my responses to Dave yesterday ; the assertions he made about my post which I believe were incorrect ; I tried to correct them with my follow up posts. What did u do? U literally repeated almost every point he has raised against my post after I had already addressed them. Is that not you trying to force Ur own opinion as fact? But here u are saying my opinion is not fact and that I shouldn't expect everyone to agree with my opinion 🤷♂️. At what point in the discussion did I say my opinion was fact? I admitted the players fumbled just like everyone else and the coaching crew but I believe what matters eventually is how we responded and were able to see off the match. How is that a bad thing? How am I wrong? Do u want everybody to be calling the players assssholes and other u printable names because we were drawn level around 70th minute? Well, I am not that kind of fan and will support my team till the final whistle before giving the players and the coaching crew tongue lashing when they deserve it. |

Fkforyou: I don’t understand grasping at straws when you just summarized the point I’ve been trying to make since.
We were Complacent when we shouldn’t have.
That’s not what champions do.
One is Proactive and the other is Reactive.
Period! Then u shouldn't have quoted me because whatever point u thought u were trying to make, I already addressed them in my previous posts. If u would just calm down and read my posts without quoting me out of context to push Ur pre-conceived agenda, u would've seen where I mentioned nobody planned for what happened but our players responded in the right manner and we ended up with the maximum 3 points. That's all that matters to me. |

Fkforyou: I don’t understand. You want to compare Newcastle game with Leicester? Really? When has Leicester being competitive.
No one, no even Leicester will come to the match hoping that Arsenal don’t beat them. What’s your point?
Like I said, Leo already admitted their goof, Arteta just re emphasized what Leo said.
What we are saying is that Arsenal shouldn’t come into games and midway into the game lose focus on the objectives making opponents get back into the game because thats the most logical step they would want to take. So did Leo or Arteta tell u they came into the game to lose focus and give the opponent th chance to draw level? See, u are just grasping at straws. My point from the onset has always been that the game got out of hand and most of the plans pre-match flew out of the windows when we were complacent but what matters most was how we dealt with the situation. Things will not always go as planned. That's why I referenced the city vs Newcastle match because city definitely were motivated to beat Newcastle to top the league but shiiit happens. U can keep hoping arsenal will amass 114 points out of possible 114 points Sha. It's ur right as a fan |

afrodoc2: The Shia in Lebanon were relatively weaker than the Sunni and the Lebanese Christians until Iran got into the fray post-Iranian revolution and post-1982 Israeli invasion.
And everybody was fighting everybody before. Sunni against Christian and Shia, Shia against Christian and Sunni. Christian against both. Christian faction against Christian faction. PLO Sunni vs non-PLO Sunni. Everybody against Druze. Some factions of Everybody helping Druze.

This was my conclusion eventually. There is no black and white in Middle East politics. Nothing is as straightforward as it seems over there. |

If they are able to destroy Israel, the Sunni and Shia will turn on each other. I read the history of Hezbollah over the outgone week and I was surprised to learn that even the Sunnis inside Lebanon Don't really 4ck with them, it's just the Shia Iran arming them that really made them larger than life. It was more surprising to find out that same Shia Iran is funding Hamas a Sunni political organization despite the age-long beef between Sunnis and Shia. It's kinda funny Amoto 4cks with Sunni Hamas but not with Shia Hezbollah when both seek the destruction of Israel as their ultimate goal courtesy of Iran being the adhesive that binds them together. |

nihilistjnr: That one dey but there's also the fact that labour is cheap af.
All the protests for minimum wage of 300k monthly is only about £120 today. So where before you could bring illiterates to be your maids, driver and security men from the village, these days you can hire them straight out of university and they will give testimony in church.
Its not like it's today it started either. Remember the PhD holders hustling for Dangote driver's job a few years back?
That's another aspect of if you get money Nigeria sweet. Then there's also the girls. My oga, I've seen that one first hand . Some people dey wey go pack 10-15 girls in commited relationships and lodge them for consumption this December. The cost of labour and the cost of a life is too damn cheap in Nigeria - you really can live legally like a king - or for the truly wealthy, like a god. Well, u have a pont with this angle that labor is extremely cheap in Naija. I still saw a job advert on LinkedIn for a driver. The company is in Ikoyi and they need drivers whose salary is pegged at 80k. I was wondering if the company knows such drivers will definitely find a way to steal from the ci lang cos there's no way that 80k will sustain a family man for a whole month |

Lush100: . Those teams you talk about Are they not 11 players . U think they came to sell groundnut.
They want to score. Let ask Why didn't Mancity beat Newcastle? Why didn't they beat inter Milan. Blueraydick is right. It's how we react. It's natural to score for the team loosing by a nil to up the ante and make something out of nothing. Besides both goals one was a deflection the other was a wondergoal. It's good we kept up the pressure.
Football is not mathematical.
The team you beat today second leg dem fit win you when with 2 shots on goal. See Aston villa they beat us home and away....no be the same.team.we beat this season.
Our injuries are also disrupting our balance. White Zinny Odegard Merino
Let hope Tomi is back and Merino is up to speed soon Thank you. It was in this same EPL Aston Villa beat Loserpool 7-2 without any red card. Did anybody see that scoreline coming prior to kickoff? At some point the scores was 2-1 advantage Villa before they later ran riot. Things happen in football matches, it is how teams respond that determines the final scoreline and eventual position in the league at the end of the season. |

Fkforyou: My bro! What we are saying is that, if you want to be the best in premier league, you should not give such kind of room for your opponents to get back into the game. You saying this, is as if we weren’t in control of the game, like their two goals just came from no where. If you watched Trosaard’s interview, he admitted to the goals being easy goals. And by easy goals, I mean giving them a breather to take their chances at us.
The mentality we are supposed to be having is crushing our opponents totally. I mean total domination, in both Halves, we can only stop after the final whistle.
That’s the mentality that teams like Bayern and Madrid have.
Glad we were able to get a win at last and that’s because of the maturity we showed by not panicking. But it’s our lack of urgency that put us in that position in the first place.
We needed to be swift and ruthless which we were not. That’s the only way we can get ahead of our rivals.
Mind you, we have other teams apart from Man City to contend with, let’s not get carried away.
We really need to be far ahead of everyone if we want to be winners. No room for slacking at all at all. City too were supposed to crush Newcastle 10-0, but the match ended 1-1. You people just talk as if the players left their homes with the mindset of coming to lead 2-0 and then conceding 2 goals to draw level and give everybody high blood pressure. Arteta has admitted It was worrying we lost the two goals advantage but was impressed with how we responded and secured the win. Have I said anything different from that? 🤷♂️ |

daveP: Now that's where you're wrong. You didn't see the Pep example? Im bringing a talk about Champs mentality. I didn't expect that will fly by na. Cos say Mou set record no mean say person no dey use am as yardstick. And because he dey chop goals now no mean say his epl records are not desired to be replicated or near to.
Mentality.
If that's a fantasy to you, i dunno what else to say to convince you. But i know why i used that example. Baba football has moved beyond that level of Mourinho era when u can win the league conceding just 15 goals. Nowadays even small clubs have access to TV rights money which affords them enough deep pocket to sign right-fit players they fancy. That's why u see that if a big team loose-guard they will collect from a small team. As regards champions mentality, I have already addressed it in my previous posts. Champions mentality is pulling off a result against all odds. Even when u are disadvantaged, being able to come up tops at the end of the day is that mentality u need. Everybody spoke highly of Leverkusen last season as to how they came back over and over again from losing position to either draw or win matches. Why is nobody knocking them for falling behind? Because it's what happens at the end of the match that matters. That was what I was telling u earlier. Anybody that saw that Ur initial post would think I was saying it's okay that we lost our 2 goal advantage ni. |

iamoyindamola: How did the match that should have been 4-0 suddenly becomes 2-2 We were complacent, our attackers didn't put enough ball behind the goal to kill off Leicester spirit, our midfielders were ball watching while our defense struggled to deal with Leicester attacks and we were badly positioned for their freekick. The players will definitely get their mistakes pointed out to them by the coaching crew. But we should also appreciate the fact that they were able to right their wrongs eventually. |
