That is why i am against all these Uganda sounding tales of people that regularly win 50m and 100m on betting. Whether true or false, all it does is to send many innocent (and some not-so-innocent) souls down the road to perdition.

That's why I always laugh at all these young people when u tell them gambling/punting/betting is never the way; they will say it's because u are not lucky enough to win so u are raining on their parade.

As much as those well known punters dey win, na so dem dey lose. It's just nobody posts their losses, they only post their winnings which may not even cover their loses.

It's something I have experimented with even before upsets became a regular occurrence in football. U will play a game that spans Friday to Sunday on ur ticket; When you have just one game on Sunday to boom and u are in millions; the unimaginable will happen and ur ever trusted team will lose 3-0 .

You will feel that was so close and that ur winning is so close by; then u go again next week. Before u know it, u may not win more than 3 tickets in a whole league year. We have a numbers problem in this country so when the winnings come u won't sit to calculate how much u've lost over the months before one ticket booms.

Anybody that has a job either as as a corporate guy, okada rider, artisan, civil servant, etc and takes gambling/betting/punting as a get-out-of-poverty route will most likely not leave poverty except by stroke of luck.

The guy really tried with the passport backlogs he cleared and speeding up turnaround time of the passport issuance process. Kudos to him.

But u see Nigerian Immigration Service? I doubt if there's any paramilitary or military agency that is as corrupt as they are ; bar Customs Sha.

Despite the fact that the process of getting the passport has been automated ; those immigration people still find a way to make people part with cash when u go for capturing o. Right in ur presence while u are waiting for hours , they literally bring people to jump queue. Because of the underhand tactics they employ there, they prohibit use of phones within the vicinity because they know people can record them on video and such recordings will make it to the internet.

I feel they are spoiling the Tunji Ojo guy's hardwork by this act Sha. They will shamelessly ask u who assisted u in processing ur passport.

If you don't bring constituency projects or share gifts your constituents will not vote for you in the election cycle unless you want to rig massively in that case you need state support which you may not get. I once argued the fact that legislators shouldn't be judged based off constituency projects in a discussion with some acquaintances it was as if I was speaking to a choir they didn't want to hear any of it.

If u read through the first few lines of my post, I was implying that constituency projects and constituency allowances should be scrapped because they are just avenue for lawmakers to steal public funds. It's just an avenue for them to get even with their colleagues on the executive arm of government who use executive powers to steal.

They should be doing their primary duty of checking the excesses of the executive and making laws that will move the nation forward
