In a country where Law makers marry 13 year olds and it is deemed that no offence has been committed, How can u now claim 17 year olds are not fit to be in the University? |

I finished sec sch at 18 got admission at 21 finished at 25 after NYSC, I became 27 looking for job and employers required 25 minimum age, What can I do That is how u will know that these e-diots making policies in this country are so far detached from the reality of the common man. The fact that their own kids don't even look for jobs but just get employed at CBN,NNPC,NUPRC and other elite government agencies automatically does not really make them understand that this senseless policy will only lead to more average Nigerian youth not getting jobs upon graduation. Like, these people can't see beyond their nose. |

daveP: Notice that we had 3 shirts just as Martinelli was about to cross, yet no good jumper to meet the perfect cross. The fact that it was 3 dey vex me. Cos all we need is 2 sef to punish those defenders if we get better aerial threat.
Also notice that this very spot is the precise spot for a cross to a 9 that will accurately turn goal no matter how the defenders do their thing. But once again... The idea is to be a thorn that makes the defenders commit and eventually a pk comes out. We all know the pass went to GM and it ended up being a waste las las.
Infact from that position alone, White can be raking up assists and that will reduce prime pressure and give Saka more space and hence, our advantage.
Lastly, I'll be watching keenly our outside box shots this season. Baba what are u analysing ? Martinelli played absolute rubbish with that needless left footed pass. Even if a jumper(striker) was there , it would still have been a rubbish pass. Martinelli had enough time before he ran himself into 3 villa players. I understand u desire for us to sign a traditional striker and it is looking almost inevitable with the depatrure of Nketiah and Jesus' injury; but u see Martinelli ehn.... He really gba inside that match on Saturday. |

When they gain admission 18, use 5 years in University due to strike and graduate 23; wait for NYSC list to come out for close to a year and then finish NYSC 25 that's where problem will now start.
They may look for jobs for over a year and by then companies will start requesting for them to be not more than 25 years for a graduate trainee role(By that time they are already past 26 years).
The policy is a senseless one in view of how complex things are in the Nigerian labour market |

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has been dragged to National Industrial Court (NIC) by over 100 of its staff that were recently sacked under the bank’s re-organisation strategy by President Bola Tinubu’s administration, demanding payment for damages and entitlements among others.
Over 100 suits have so far been filed by the sacked staff of the apex bank challenging their abrupt and unjust termination of services while still having some years to go.
Lead Counsel to some of the affected staff, Mr. Ola Olanipekun (SAN), on Thursday made the court documents available to select journalists in Jos.
He said his claimants approached the court to enforce their right to fair hearing as workers who have been unjustly sacked by CBN.
He explained that the unlawful action of the apex bank has caused monumental damages to his clients running into hundreds of millions of Naira, adding that they are praying the court to ensure that the defendant pay all the claimants their monthly salaries, allowances and other emoluments/entitlements.
Olanipekun noted that one of his clients who still have nine years of service left with the Bank would have earned, if his employment had not been unlawfully terminated, a sum of N1,621,455.70 monthly as evidenced by his salary payment, and such other monies in that regards as his current or subsequent promotion position/grades would be entitled.
He is praying the an order of the court to ensure that the defendant shall pay forthwith all monthly salaries and allowances that the claimant would have earned in the course of his service/employment, being the sum of N178, 360,127.00 or such other sums in that regard, from the effective date of unlawful termination of his appointment up and until his due date of lawful retirement on 4th August, 2033.
The counsel said that the claimant is also praying the court to ensure that the sum of N100,000,000 million is paid to him as General Damages against the defendant, for wrongful termination of his contract of employment.
Meanwhile, the sum of N30,000,000.00 as the cost of litigation/prosecuting the suit is also demanded from the defendant with 21 per cent post judgment interest, per annum, on all judgment sums awarded, from the date of judgment until the entire judgment sum is wholly defrayed/liquidated as well as further orders as the court may deem fit to make in the circumstances of the case.
Olanipekun explained that the Originating Summons dated 22 August, 2024 is supported by a 27 paragraphs affidavit deposed to by the Claimant himself.
The Central Bank of Nigeria had sacked over about 200 of its staff in May, 2024 through a letter titled, ‘Re-organisation’ of the CBN, and that has unsettled the affected staff who are now demanding for entitlements and payment for damages. https://www.arise.tv/over-100-sacked-cbn-staff-sue-for-wrongful-termination/#google_vignetteSome of the CBN staff sacked in May 2024 have sued the bank and are demanding compensation for wrongful termination. I am interested in how this suit will play out considering the parties involved (CBN, their ex-staff and Wole Olanipekun). Wole Olanipekun is charging N30m as legal fees |

Omorr, Saliba and Gabriel no know wetin dem don do for Arsenal fans' lives. Those two Saliba interceptions in both halves and Raya save was what really gave our attack hope to go for all 3 points. That Saliba first half interception is world class. How he read that situation... Geez!!!! That's why each time I see Chelsea fans doing the Defence vs Attack debate on their thread, I just laugh silently. They obviously don't know how terrible things can be with a bad defensive structure. Under Emery, I remembered we faced 31 shots vs Watford; as in 4cking Watford o. In that very match we were leading 2-0 until Papasthapopulous gifted the watford player a goal with his wrong pass and David Luiz caused a stupid penalty that led to their equalizer. Anybody that has lived through those times will understand the kind of Joy Gabriel and Saliba dey give us with their partnership. As it stands, we have played 10 away games in 2024 calender year, won 9, draw 1, scored 30 goals and conceded only 3. |

Spy360: On second thought
It's possible for Trossard to start without risking his defensive output
We can focus on creating from the right with Saka and Odegaard and then allowing Trossard to drift from the left towards the centre as we saw in the goal
Then when out of possession, Rice can be the cover for the LB while either Havertz or Trossard himself can cover the middle spot
Goes back to what I said that it's all tactical

timbros: Do you even read my question? What on earth does it have to do with Complete Sports? In ur initial post to me u we’re asking what I would advice to do either to take pay cut to join Chelsea or rot on the bench. Someone up there pointed it out to u that the 500k weekly wage demand is probably a complete sports gist and not genuine as being wrongly circulated online . I’ve already answered u that Osimhen taking a pay cut to join Chelsea makes no sense for the player . If Conte and Napoli decides to freeze him out cos they signed a 31 year old Lukaku, goodluck to them. In worse case scenario he will sit on the bench earning his true and fair wage till January when he will make a move to another club that can afford his wage . |

Where is the hypocrisy exactly? Can you state a like for like example where Chelsea fans ask the said player not to take a pay cut? Abi the word "hypocrisy" just dey sweet una for mouth? If Chelsea is cutting down on their wage then let them sign strikers willing to sign 10 years contract and take peanut for wages . Let them leave Osimehn and his agent to worry about his future . There are several European players that have been frozen out and still managed to get a good club afterwards. Worse case scenario Conte will freeze him out this few months and by January he will make a move to any top European club that can afford his wages in the January transfer window . |

kingBolton: Player leaving Italy to England should agree to a pay cut ? African footballer of the year should accept pay cut. Na Chelsea bias they make them talk sha. Don’t mind them . They place their bias for their club over the player’s personal interest but they think the player does not have a right to decide what he believes he truly deserves to earn. If he were to be a 31 or 32 year old player who is looking for playing time one can understand their call for him to take pay cut just to play in a team that is still struggling to stand back on its feet. There are countless players with high wages that don’t contribute much to their respective clubs. Nobody is making issues out of those players but e reach Osimehn turn they think he must take pay cut. This is a player that has been consistent as a decent player . Nigerians and hypocrisy sha.
You expect a 25 year old who is the current African footballer of the year who helped his team to a league win the league being the highest goal scorer less than 2 years ago to take a pay cut and join ur team . SMH 🤦♂️
Let’s all pretend as if European players who are less productive than him are not getting bumper contracts much more than he’s earning .
Havertz despite being less productive is earning close to 300k at Arsenal , but Osimehn must take pay cut to join a new club because a new coach wants him out . SMH |

Spy360: A player who is not as good can come from bench and score but when he starts he wouldn't cope again. This is common na.
Where I am going is that, Martinelli could have equally come from the bench and score twice against Villa. Both he and Trossard are good. But one is better starting and the other from bench. Let martinelli come from bench first before u start postulating theories . He has started more matches and we’ve seen the result . Let Trossard get his chance and let us see what he does with it. There’s no need defending Arteta when he has not given Trossard that chance and he bungled it |

Spy360: No. But he started 32 games and scored 8 times for Brighton unlike when he started just 18 games and scored 12 times for Arsenal. Nite that mistbof those 12 were from the bench. Nit when he started. The only reason why he scored 8 goals in 32 matches for Brighton was because Brighton is Brighton. Let him start 32 game for Arsenal and let’s see if it’s just 8 goals he will score if I will not label him as fraud. The fact that he could score 12 goals while starting only 18 for Arsenal shows he can do exceeding greater exploits if he gets a starting place in the team. The current person filling that role is misfiring and stinking up the pitch ; let’s give change a chance abeg. |

Secondly, take a look at Trossard for Brighton and for Arsenal. He scored more goals coming from the bench 16 out of 34 than when he started in 32 games. Tells the whole story. lolz .😂 U expect him to score more goals for Brighton than he scores for Arsenal ? Are u for real ? European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 6:14am On Aug 25, 2024 |
Spy360: It is easier to score coming from the bench than when starting.
It's more come from the bench and score within the last 10mins, than to score within the first 10mins.
The obvious reasons are because opposition defenses are down physically and mentally. They are out of ideas and are more prone to poor decision making-; wrong position, poor alertness, slow thinking and loss of concentration.
In the Euros, Fulkrug will come from bench and score for Germany, but Havertz was always preferable to start.
The same thing with Garnacho or MC Tominay for United.
That doesn't mean whoever starts cannot do the same things. Or who comes from bench is not good enough. It's just tactical. If this were to be true, then why is the highest goal scorer not filled with names of substitute attackers for each time ? 😒 |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 6:09am On Aug 25, 2024 |
Spy360: If form is your issue then I have no arguments with that. However I stand on my tactical reason.
Please note that I didn't mention Saka at all especially in connection to Nelson. I mentioned Nelson because of last two seasons when he was coming from bench to score. Let's be honest, it's easier to score coming from the bench.
Nelson is closer to Trossard than to Martinelli. He is more useful when we dominate the opposition box and searching for a late goal. Apart from that he is not reliable in open play and transitions. Nelson is not closer to Trossard than Martinelli one bit. Take a look at the attached stats screenshot for all 3 players; let’s focus on 2023/24 which was our best season in years Frame 1 is Nelson’s Frame 2 is Trossard’s Frame 3 is Martinelli’s You don’t need a seer to tell u that Trossard’s place is on the pitch and not on the bench. I already told u the tactical reason excuse does not fly cos Trossard does practically everything Martinelli does (and better sef)
|
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 5:51am On Aug 25, 2024 |
Spy360: Both of them are good. Trust me. The little difference in their style of playing is what is keeping Martinelli on the starting lineup not because he is better.
Remember when Nelson was coming from bench and scoring? When he was given a starting chance what did he do?
Remember when Martinelli was coming from bench too? He started scoring also.
It's just tactical. No now 🤦♂️ Saka and Nelson are two different players that do not relate with this situation at hand. Saka is 100% clear of Nelson; everyone knows Saka and Nelson are not equals irrespective of Nelson getting clutch goals . On the other hand, you yourself had confirmed Trossard and Martinelli are two equally good players in their own right. Now what we are saying is Martinelli’s form is below par and we have a Trossard his equal that keeps getting the job done but languishing on the bench . Something has to give . If Arteta continues to claim an out-of-form Martinelli on the pitch is the tactical requirement he needs to see this season through; I won’t be surprised to see Trossard dumping us for another big team by the next transfer window |
