izzou: Instead of whining about the price, he should have used his personal money to import 20ft container of blenders and sell for 150k.
Did he factor the cost to transport it to Lagos?
Did he even know that the rent of that supermarket may be up to 15 million per year, considering it is Victoria Island? raumdeuter: And if one store is inflating prices, that is an opportunity for Mr Tunji and friends to go and import more of those blenders and sell for cheaper
Thats the beauty of free market. You source your own and sell at the price you want
I am free to import Azul and sell for #100M Naira, You should also do what I am doing, go import Azul and sell for #50 Naira. If no one buys mine, I will adjust GloriousGbola: first off, we are supposed to be a free market economy the blender is not an essential item so what is the basis of enforcing a price
using the us cost as a benchmark is just playing to the gallery what of cost of ordering, shipping [local and international], cost of clearing at the ports? insurance? all the people on the road you will settle before the goods reach your store [from port to warehouse to shop]?
what of your stores operating costs? the diesel, band a nepa bills, salaries, regulatory bills , operating bribes are all factored into their pricing
every other day we are reading of ridiculous duties enforced by customs
as a consumer protection body, your job is to sanction those who sell substandard goods or goods that fail or are misrepresented
this is just price enforcement. i go somewhere i see a ridiculous price for an item, i look somewhere else or i decide its not worth it. Mr. Tunji Bello just wants to be seen as doing something , that’s all I can see in all of these . He wants his name to be in the news so Jagaban can see that at least he’s doing something and not just collecting all the perks of such juicy position he was appointed to. The man is educated ,exposed and experienced enough to know that such directive he gave makes no sense and will have no real impact in real life. |

iamoyindamola: Arsenal will sign Bournemouth Neto on loan with no obligation to buy Fair deal but why did they send ramsdale away when they didn't have a backup I like how espanyol dealt with them because that was a stupid move Nobody sent Ramsdale away, Ramsdale wanted to leave because he’s not happy playing as a second choice goalkeeper . He has lost his place to Raya and he certainly is not happy playing second fiddle to him considering Ramsdale himself is a good goalkeeper . Anybody we are signing knows they will be second choice ; something Ramsdale cannot deal with. It is only normal we profit from his unhappiness |

mostob: You are the one arguing yourself out of the box. I tabled my reasons, you agreed to the most important one which is his injury record. You lied about Finidi's presser ... You conjured up the Rashford vs Osimhen debate whereas Rashford was not the only player I mentioned. You even chose to ignore the on-form in bracket. About the bolded, i still mentioned Watkins here few days ago but you chose to turn a blind-eye. What are you arguing exactly? This is why I avoid putting mouth in some of these lengthy arguments u guys always have on this thread , because some people will just try as much as possible to take u off point and start arguing a non issue with u. Right from the onset I was discussing with iamoyindamola by asking him why he said he won’t be happy if we sign Osimehn. I proceed to tell him why I believe Osimehn is actually a right fit for us- Osimehn is a prolific and proven goal scorer who is better than any of our current striker options upfront. You are the person that claimed he isn’t prolific in the face of superior facts going by his goal scoring record with Napoli and Nigeria. You kept on twisting and turning . I was decent enough to admit that his injury concern is a genuine concern but every other point u were clutching at were nothing but moot points. Till now u’ve not been able to prove otherwise that the only major issue Osimehn has is the injury concern. Every other thing is just u clutching at straws. Whatever spat he had with Finidi, somebody posted it and we’ve seen evidence that Arteta actually signed Trossard who was literally frozen out by his previous manager for his “attitude “. That has killed whatever point u we’re trying to make about “attitude” As regards the Rashford over Osimehn, it’s just glaring to anybody who can make deductions . We’ve been talking about attack options and Osimehn has been at the center of it all. Suddenly u were listing attackers that u prefer to Osimehn ; most of whom are out of reach ( Salah , Mbappe) and u just smuggled Rashford into the mix . Yes u said an in form Rashford but when last was Rashford in form that u remember ? Anybody with half a brain can see that u definitely prefer having him at Arsenal even when he’s not what we need right now. This is the last response I will give on this matter . |

Shegzdave: Exactly His points are more agenda driven than fact
See that part he said Arteta can tame RashFord but e reach Osihmen turn, story change He’s just trying to argue himself out of a box. Any discerning mind can see he actually likes Rashford and wouldn’t mind him despite the fact that we have players who can do the same thing he’s fantasizing about Rashford doing for us. Everyone not named Mostob can see we need a real striker and not another winger-cum-false 9. Even if it’s not Osimehn, we need a real striker and not all these slothful false 9 everywhere . |

mostob: City comparison is due to the fact that we both play in a similar way. Your last paragraph shows you did not read to understand. No wonder, it seems unrealistic to you. None of the players I mentioned are false 9 so I wonder what you are talking about. All this your Osimhen talk would have been realistic assuming we don't have Havertz in the team. Infact, if you truly follow Arsenal transfers, you will know your stance is flawed already. 60m will get Osimhen now that Napoli are desperate to offload him. Everything u’ve written here shows u actually don’t understand my post . Maybe I will just leave it to Jodera to explain it to u better . I’m tired already. But u would seriously have the team sign Rashford instead of Osimehn. Na wa o; I now for u o. |

Itsrm: Filling station owners here buy directly from tank farms. I know that for a fact. Maybe that's why fuel is always available here. All that time you guys were shouting scarcity, it never got here. I just expect the price to compete with what obtains in Lagos.
There's another tank farm in Jos or Niger that services the North. There are tank farms in Lagos too; In fact tank farms are in different locations like Apapa, Ejigbo, Ijegun Egba, etc that I know of. When fuel is scarce in Lagos, it is because there are no fuel laden vessels berthing, not because there are no tank farms. |

See the comments from people. We dey suffer in this PH. To think there are tank farms here.
https://x.com/ObaJunior6/status/1829137220697239687 Tank farms are storage facilities for petroleum products. The question is : The products loaded from those tank farms, where do they sell them to? Are they loading products from the tank farm and selling it to the north or east? |

mostob: One player I have been mentioning frequently here is Alexandre Isak. When you compare the guy to Osimhen, you will understand my stance about Osimhen. What we need now is a one-man attack. Someone who is not just a striker but an outlet. On a counter, a player that have the ability to make something happen out of nothing. City have KDB and maybe Foden.Mbappe, Rashford(on-form) and Salah are other examples. Martinelli is the only one closer to this profile but we all know he is a Glo network. Ode is more like Benardo. Trossard is good but he sometimes fizzle out of games. Osimhen is limited in this aspect. Is Osimhen not good enough? Of course not. Osimhen is a finisher, an end of a means. If Arteta really wants Osimhen, I don't think we would have gone for Sesko at the outset. It is just my opinion. Nothing personal
cc blueraydick The problem with all of this is that ur expectation is unrealistic. You need to wake up and see things for what they really are. Arsenal is not man city; We do not have KDB and we do not have any player that has his exact skill set. As for Foden, we have Saka who is a match for Foden any day any time as far as getting us goals and assists are concerned playing from the right wing. I know Foden at times plays 10, but like I said Arsenal is not man city; we don't play the same style of football. Every player's role is well defined at Arsenal; Odegard is the one that orchestrates our attack from the middle. What is missing in our team is a potent and direct number 9 which we have been missing for a while. I agree with you that Isak will be a very good fit for us, but I doubt Newcastle will even sell to us for 100m if we have that much to splash. In the absence of Isak, Osimehn is a very good fit for us because he's not only very direct as a potent 9, but he can also work his way out of any yeye highline defence most EPL teams now adopt. He can also bulldoze himself out of tough defensive set-up and let us not forget how good he is with his head. All those Salah and Mbappe are out of reach; while I would not touch Rashford with a long pole in form or out of form. It will just amount to wasting money on another false 9. Why will we have Gabriel Jesus on our books and still buy Rashford? Why? |
