Leyqute:😂😂😂 |
swiz123:😂😂😂 That’s because u are an Igbo guy who obviously doesn’t speak fluent Yoruba pronouncing “Olorunsogo “ with Ibadan accent. If I was the conductor too I would be confused , I would think u were whining me . |
[quote author=liveLongNprospa post=131407348]Dan bello wan use lies and hausa kill tinubu DSS no carry this guy anytime soon , make I know wetin cause am 😂😂😂😂 As much as I'm not a fan of Tinubu, the amount of misinformation/disinformation in that one single video is crazy 🤯. The guy practically said the Calabar coastal road will be funded to the tune of 15 trillion out of 28 trillion 2024 budget 😂. The guy does not even care about all those talks from Umahi that the contract is EPC+ F or whatever he chose to call it. The guy mix everything together just plant Tinubu hate in Northerners mind and add better fertilizers for the thing to germinate ASAP. I lost it when the tried explaining what a trillion Naira is.🤣🤣🤣🤣 On a serious note, I believe some of these guys are being sponsored by the powers that appears to be angry with Tinubu in the north . Honestly, Tinubu get bigger problems wey pass Peter Obi o. All those nonsensical and unnecessary attack at Obi by Bayo Onanuga and the rest of his guys on twitter ; they need to channel the energy on the people that are really after their principal . |
iamoyindamola:Well for those that have comprehensive motor insurance , their insurers will definitely pay them the monetary value of their vehicle ( which will most likely not be enough to get a replacement car of same make due to inflation and rise in price of cars now ) As for those car owners that do not have comprehensive motor insurance ,they can still get compensated by the insurers of the filling station. Since the fire/explosion came from the filling station , they are liable for the damage to people’s cars while within their premises . Na make the car owners just contact the filling station management ASAP and be engaging them for settlement . So when those ones are asking their insurers for compensation , they will add the car owners as co-claimants |
Spy360:Yes now. If Nketiah leaves then we will certainly get a replacement for him as well as a deputy for Saka. If Nketiah stays however , Arteta should prioritize getting Saka deputy before any other thing. |
iamoyindamola:The videos I’ve been seeing online have not shown any fatal casualty . Just seeing videos of damaged vehicles and people standing around the fire while emergency services are trying to put it off |
obainojazz: |
Spy360:Well, for starters we didn’t lose the league last season because because of non-availability of strikers . In fact, we scored our most leagues in the EPL history 2023/2024 (the same season we didn’t have a traditional CF). Now talking about wasting of fund on Saka’s deputy, I don’t agree it is a waste of funds in any way. In fact, I believe if Saka had a quality deputy we wouldn’t have ended the season without at least FA cup or the other cup ( whatever name they call it now cos it’s like almost every season they change the name ). A deputy for Saka will greatly help us in cup matches like last group games in UCL when Saka is supposed to be resting , FA cup matches till maybe semi final and final. Every EPL team knew our tactics last season yet, that was the same season we won our most league games(28) in the EPL era. Arteta’s tactics does not really require a traditional CF to bang in goals . The tactics require the front 3 to be at their best playing fluid football and That can only be improved on if we have a worthy deputy for Saka who can stand in for him like Trossard/Martinelli on the left wing. If we are to draw up a scale of preference , I would say we need Saka’s deputy more than a traditional CF since as of today Nketiah is still an Arsenal player |
https://punchng.com/nnpc-reassures-public-as-fuel-station-explodes-in-lagos/ Gas explosion at Mobil Filling station around that Airport Hotel area of Ikeja today @Iamoyindamola hope u are safe? I know u do frequent that route

afrodoc2:The first time I saw someone bearing Amala as a name ehn, I laugh scatter ![]() |
akwesenana:I didn't do anything wrong o. ![]() In Mid-July when I was in PH, I heard people talking about fun spots in the city ni o 🚶♂️ |
izzou:It was technical Knockout for Etisalat. They never rose from the ashes |
izzou:Onye Anambla ![]() |
Roland17:I also don't fancy Vieria on that right, he's more of an Odegaard deputy than Saka deputy. As for Nelson ehn, personally I wish he can be paid off and let him go ply his trade elsewhere. The guy just dey occupy space like matter |
daveP:How do u think Top management decisions are taken? If as a manager u go to the management team that u need a new striker and then ur last season result showed u scored 91 goals (the second most goals in the league that season); do u think the management will take u serious? How will u justfiy that even without a proven traditional CF u scored 91 goals(which is an improvement on the 88 goals in 2022-2023 season) and then striker must be signed instead of strengthening the team in other more critical areas like Saka's deputy ? |
obainojazz:Saka is naturally funny; Looking at him alone evokes laughter. ![]() Almost everyone was shocked when the advert was first aired. Funny enough, saka claimed he didn't ditch Etisalat for money like most people had thought. Saka noted that contrary to what many think, he did not ditch Etisalat because of money. He said, “It is very important to maintain one’s integrity and discipline. I also want to correct the notion some people have that I abandoned Etisalat because of money. The truth is that I did not have any official engagement with Etisalat as their ambassador. I was just a model working with an agent who was handling Etisalat’s account. I did not have anything to do with Etisalat. Rather, I had something to do with the agent, and as of that time, my contract with the agent had expired. Another agent then called me to be an ambassador for MTN, and that was it. If anyone contacts Etisalat or MTN, that is the same thing they would be told. Money is important, but I do not allow it to mess with my integrity.” |
In the spirit of throwback.🤤 This is like one of the biggest transfer move that year. The "I Don port o" advert was a major W for MTN media and branding team Sha

Amigoss:A friend was propounding a theory this morning. U know normally the protest is for 10 days ( Aug 1-10) after which the protesters are expected to call it quits. So my friend is speculating that come August 11, the protestors in the north will most likely not end their protests; instead they will turn it to "Tinubu must Go" protest. He said that's how and when we will know there may actually be foreign powers who want Tinubu ousted. Personally I believe this theory is far fetched and things may not really happen that way. But the way Hausa speaking influencers have been rolling out documentary videos about Tinubu's administration recently ehn.....🤐 |
CrystalTiger:He supposed sack everybody in that media and communication team. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:Well I don't think it should be a competition or a stat that one should be giggling about. Rather, the stats should make the respective state govts and FG work on reducing the numbers to almost 0 |
afrodoc2:Je ne parle pas français monsieur. I was only telling him to cast his net wider and he will find what he's seeking |
izzou:If u go to Kilimanjaro restaurants and Market square supermarkets scattered all over PH , u will jam fine girls small. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:Competing for what exactly ? |
Roland17:If it indeed happened as reported, then I think its just a funny way of passing a lesson. Like u rightly said, Arteta himself needs the lesson more than the players. I believe the players already have the right mentality . He(Arteta) owes us to do better in his managerial decision making in "tough matches" too. Also, he has no excuse not signing a worthy deputy for Saka. In fact, I think that should be the sole focus of the team once they wrap this Merino deal up. Not signing a deputy for Saka can actually cost us more than not signing a traditional CF this season |
Jodera:I agree that Arteta likes over-dramatization sha; It's just that this particular strategy sounded funny kind of. |
swiz123:In order for you to know as a non-native speaker, u will need to learn oral Yoruba the same way you learnt oral English as part of English Language. Not most people can actually do that, so that's why we don't pick offence when some people wrongly spell our names or other words based on how it sounds in their ears without following the Yoruba grammar rules |
swiz123:Now we are going to oral Yoruba Language. It is just like asking why the word FAM is spelt that way and not as FAME since the alphabet "A" is actually pronounced "ei" An alphabet doesn't have just one sound in English language, that is similar to what we have In Yoruba language. The name SINA pronounced as SHINOR because 1. The s is the one with " ṣ" 2. The last vowel"a" in the final part of the name gives the vowel sound "or" which is actually written as "à" in Yoruba writing. |
afrodoc2:I think the bold is the partly the answer and also swiz appears to be a pan African to the core. He’s just like my dad that would be inside his house and be correcting Yoruba newscasters how they pronounce some Yoruba words on TV or Radio 😂 The thing usually amuses me cos he believes every Yoruba person should not be found wanting in reading Yoruba fluently and pronouncing words right. Shebi it was still swiz that was saying few weeks ago on Chelsea thread that African players should not be playing for European national teams . I think he said something like it’s a shame they abandon their parents’ country and are representing foreign countries .That’s a core pan-African talk |
swiz123:I have attached a picture of the Yoruba alphabet for you to see. Words like Basorun, Sola, Sina, are all the correct spellings following the Yoruba spelling rules . This is because the s is not the normal s but the s with a dot underneath it and it is pronounced “shi” in Yoruba alphabet . Also in like manner, the P in Pele is correct why ? Because “kpele “ amounts to contravening the Yoruba grammar rule of two consonants not following each other in any Yoruba word. The GB you see in Yoruba words is seen as one single alphabet and not a combination of G and B. A lot of these things have been anglicized due to colonial influence . You should also bear in mind that due to the dialects and accents different Yoruba people have, it is normal for some words to be pronounced differently by different people
|
Unlimited22:I understand, a lot of things have been anglicized as part of the after-effects of colonialism. It was just the way swiz claimed no Igbo person bears Chidinma that puzzled me. If he had said the spelling was wrong but admitted those people were still Igbos nonetheless, I won't have any issues with his point. It's just like me saying "Adebayor" is not Yoruba because of how he spelt his name with letter R after Adebayo(The actual Yoruba name) |
