When Ebening was taking us to Europa featuring mop heads like Mustafi, Mecho, Sokratis et al, we did not remember Pep was in the same league.

I don’t read Chelsea fans in their best days, even now that they have become a mid-table team use competing against Pep as an excuse when they fail.

United have become a circus show and in 4 years have had a musical chair for coaches, yet I don’t read their fans use Pep as consolation.

Even the Liverpool guy that made the original post did not say Klopp, he wouldn’t dare such if he is a true Liverpool fan. I have never read where a Liverpool fan or their fan base use competing against Pep as a reason to console themselves.

But somehow, because it involves Arteta, he is suddenly punching above his weight because he is competing against Pep?

He knew what he was signing up for. He wasn’t forced to apply for the job, he showed intentions when the position became vacant after Wenger and before Arsenal chose Ebening. He isn’t coaching for free, if anything, he is using a big club like Arsenal to build his own resume at the expense of the team when the core are at or approaching their respective peaks.

Good Ebening had already won 3 Europas before he even joined Arsenal ; he’s an experienced coach and not some rookie like Arteta .

I agree with u Arteta knew what he was signing for . His FA cup triumph and second placed finish last season showed he’s not the wrong choice when the board signed him.

His performance this season has left a bitter taste in our mouth and I will not have any defence for him if he fails to win EPL or UCL this season. However two truths can co-exist ; Pep is a top coach and he will always make it difficult for any other coach to win the league while he’s still the coach of man city . I only pointed it out to the guy that u can be crossed with Arteta for messing things up, u can also acknowledge Pep is a worthy adversary
