That 250k na wetin no dey enough wey make boys go on strike in 2011-2012. Imagine if e no dey enough with the general price level then, how meagre it would be now.

The country needs a comprehensive public health insurance scheme which will go hand in hand with private schemes as well, in order to ameliorate the problem of lack of quality healthcare and poor staff remuneration. It won't magically transform things to Western standards, but it would definitely make things significantly better.
It goes without saying that corruption has to be tackled as well, or else the funds will just be embezzled.
Can u imagine ? That’s like salary of like 12 years ago and someone still wants to pay it this year without even considering inflation and time value of money ? ….. smh .

Before u pay house rent , feeding and other sundry expenses 250k don finish . Maybe na leaf doctor go dey wear go work like Adam and Eve because where he wan see money buy cloth inside ?

For a starting salary that 250k is even too generous. Only surgeons that are specialist should be earning higher.
See insensitive talk o, and some people like am sef .

Some Investment bankers who don’t even do as much as doctors do earn above that as entry level salary .

A doctor that is exposed to so many work hazards , does day and night shifts as the job requires and even has his mental health at risk due to some work related trauma is the one u think don’t deserve more than 250k.

Na wa to u o

Delta state is the most shocking. They've been receiving the highest allocation since 2018 and yet the state is in decline. Some of the issues plaguing the state are massive unemployment, high number of school drop outs, and bad roads. The only thing going well in the state is Yahoo Yahoo, that is the only thing providing employment to the youths there. [/b]I don't know where all the allocation money is entering.
The bold is very true for both Delta and Edo states . It just seem as if the youth have given up on any prospect of government addressing the unemployment issues; they just go into Yahoo business to help themselves without disturbing the politicians that are chopping allocations and IGR’s .

We need some CaF players in this squad. At least after afcon nothing else disturbs their schedule. Get them abeg. We need deputies seriously. It's the most persistent problem right now asides the Coach issues. We don't want handicap situations again.

We resume tomorrow. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
CAF players bawo ? undecided

AFCON is always played between January and February ; a time that is very critical in major European leagues . That’s a period of time Arsenal has been infamously known to lose steam in title challenge for years now .

Most European leagues including the EPL do not adjust their calendars to consider teams who would lose their key players from Africa to AFCON . Euros on the other hand is usually played off season when European clubs are done with their respective leagues like June-July ( which makes much sense )

I will not lie u ; I don’t want any African player becoming a key player at Arsenal cos of the timing of AFCON.

Yeah I know it's mass produced. Chicken republic sell it at their outlets here in Nigeria.

And yes, some people produce it in their homes too. Ghanaians and Togolese resident in Nigeria make theirs in the comfort of their kitchen

Na lie. Talk staple foods, not breakfast. All these require serious monitoring
Any staple food takes time now whether it's ghana food or Nigerian food.

It's abnormal to eat raw pepper that is not cooked. Even the shito u are talking about took time to be prepared before they stored it for future use.

Tapioca just needs u to put the stuff in boiling water, turn it and it's ready.

You can cook/fry yam while u are in the shower/getting dressed and then fry the egg almost immediately. It does not require any serious monitoring

Which Eba and Ogbono, meat no dey inside? How long meat dey take to boil?

My Ghanaian flatmates then, once they return from work or uni, pour water in pot, throw two eggs inside, go and shower, come back in 10 mins and eat rice shitto with egg.

Even Eba and Ogbono, you will be standing over stove actively watching everything like monitoring spirit

You will be slaving for an hour plus as a Nigerian to cook anything palatable, meanwhile they are already using time productively on other ventures

Name one Nigerian meal you can cook from scratch in 30 mins, and no be indomie

Fast food is sign of a productive society that values time. How come when you go to Chinese restaurant and order food with serious spices, vegetables and noodles, it is always ready in 10 mins?

English eat everything with gravy. Do you know it takes one minute to make gravy? Just boil water and mix in the gravy granules
Tapioca, Yam & egg, potato, etc

They wouldn't look for the house of their brother Gandollar to burn or attack him when he comes back to Kano..

Thank God their people plenty for West.. It's time southerners stood up to these people.. That's how they wanted to blackmail Alex Otti..
As in, they are very very mad. They forget APC's national chairman is their brother Gandollar ; they will now leave him and start attacking average Yoruba man that probably doesn't even have any interest in whoever becomes Kano governor eventually .

Sometimes I feel they just look for any slight opportunity to attack southerners. Funny enough if government doesn't do anything to arrest the situation they may end up carrying out the attacks and nothing will happen.

Meanwhile, the Concerned Yoruba Community in Kano, on Thursday, raised the alarm over an alleged possible attack on Yoruba indigenes in Kano and called on all Yoruba leaders in the country to engage President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a possible political settlement of the Kano political logjam.

The Secretary General of the group, Taofeek Olaosebikan, who addressed a news conference in Kano, said, “We are using this platform to call on our leading Obas and leaders to come to our assistance by engaging President Bola Tinubu on the political situation in Kano.

“The average man already believes that the judiciary has been interfered with. We are calling on our fathers, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and the Oni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, to intervene without further delay.

“We are also calling on Oba of Lagos, Alake of Agba, Awujare of Ijebuland, Olubadan of Ibadan and other and other Yoruba leading lights to come to our aid as we won’t find it easy if the situation degenerates further as we actually expect it would.

“The people here will believe that they were cheated by a Yoruba President. That’s the word going around now. A stitch in time, they say saves nine.”

We just waste money in this country. Few years back I used to join one man in his car to and fro work. He do carry other pasengers and one of them works at state house marina. One day he narrated how all the utensils, appliances and household items in the state house was shared between the staff of the state house when Ambode left and Sanwoolu came on board.

Ambode spent 4 years as governor and didn't live in the state house marina, but lived in Ikeja I think. Most of those items were almost like new when Sanwoolu came into office but since there's a budget for turnaround maintenance, it became imperative for the items to be disposed. Some of the staff got Perisan rugs , utensils, etc that cost serious money.

Raumdeuter I remember recently u said one of the problem our democracy has is that we copied the American system of government which is quite expensive to run.

I just watched a video this morning where Obama's wife was on Oprah's show and she stated it categorically that as the first family they pay for their own meals, the meals of their guests and other bills . Like they don't feed on tax payer's money like we have in Nigeria where governors and presidents have billions of naira budgeted for feeding from tax payers' money .

She literally said they get the bill for their meals at the end of the month.

Nigeria wey our economy no even big reach some states in the USA dey lavish serious money in funding luxurious lifestyle of our "leaders"

U can see that our leaders are just wicked in this part of the world and not because we copied an expensive American presidential system of government.
