Davido na normal "Ọmọ Get-inside" while growing up; he didn't experience most of the things he ought to enjoy at the right time. That made him miss out on some stuff and the moment he started having freedom he was just misbehaving with a very wack game.

Tell me why he would carry himself go join cult wey most people wey grow up for streets dey avoid like plague? He probably joined to expeeience the so called brotherhood and appear to be that tough guy with gang members.

Then he should have her arrested or sue her for defamation/cyber bullying na. (That is if the lady does not have evidence of being in close contact with Davido in the past o)

I struggle to understand why a woman will just wake one morning and claim her child belongs to someone she's never met nor sleep in his bed before. The whole thing can wreck the daughter's childhood.

You remember there was a time a guy claimed to be Sanwoolu's son too; one Delta man like that. I don't even know how the whole thing ended.

Are you saying Davido has never met the girl's mother before talk less of being intimate with her?
GloriousGbola:
Apparently the child is 13 years of age.
Apparently this has been on and off courtesy of kemi olunoyo

For me this is BS. Davido impregnated Sophie. Child was confirmed to be his. Child was accepted. They even tried to steal Imade from Sophie.

If this is actually Davidos child the family would have confirmed and accepted the child

It is the curse of a wandering penis Sha. Because the one way to deflate the story is to ask when and where she met Davido. A person who is not persistently strung out on weed and alcohol can easily counter the story. No I was not at the club on this day. I was at so and so location.

Davido may never even have met the mother for all we know.

Also it may be a Davido style stunt to build up buzz for his next single.

It is the child I pity in all this. The mother is clearly manipulating her child in the worst way possible

Again, Agenda aside.

I was among those who were disappointed in Gyokeres but like I said, focus on this context.

Secondly, I did watch the match and have seen several replays of it. Are you telling me that same Saka that has scored several goals with his right foot and in a much tighter space and with several players around him could not be so sure his pass will get to Gyokeres and decided to take the safest route?

Bro, this thread is littered with my praises on Saka especially as regards his level of intelligence.

All I’m am saying is that, in this situation, he should have assisted Gyokeres who is under immense pressure so as to make it easy for him.

Again, I asked what if it was someone else that made the run, what if it was Timber, what do you think would have happened? You and I know that white is better at pull out than him.
I have already posted another camera angle of the situation up there. Saka made the right decision not playing the pass with his weak right foot whjke he was being pressed by Cucurella and Gyokeres was sandwiched between 2 CB and another player.

It's not a matter of whether you've praised Saka in the past or not. If you agree Saka is an intelligent player then you would also agree he would've passed the ball if it was an easy thing for him to do in that position at that particular moment. He had no ulterior motive other than to not lose the ball unnecessarily at that point.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 10:24pm On Jan 15
This camera angle shows Cucurella breathing down Saka's neck right before he received the ball making it difficult for him to square the ball with his weak right foot.

Saka's decision to hold till White came running down the flank appears to be a reasonable decision from this clip.

Live football match is not Playstation in which players can switch feet automatically while being pressed for the ball by an opposition defender.

If Saka was a right footer who chose not to square the ball immediately here, him the stick he's getting may be justified but he's not.

There were literally 4 Chelsea players between Saka and Gyokeres

Zubimendi is good. It's fans who still watch him through Partey's frame that wouldn't appreciate him. One thing I noticed about him is his intelligence and the fact that he understood the tactics perfectly. Twice yesterday, we're able to beat the press but guess who was at the final third... Zubimendi. I con dey ask myself what's Zubi doing there? 🤣
There was one professional foul he did to take one Chelsea player down while they were about breaking away. I was really impressed he knew when to commit and when not to.

He does both attack and defense duties well enough to help us win games and that's exactly what we need at this stage of the season.

I personally do not buy the Agenda too.

Infact, I am of the opinion that no one should be blamed for his poor performance since we did not do the same for Hervertz when he just joined us.

Was Saka indecisive in this context? Absolutely.

I have criticised Gyokeres on several occasion for his ball playing technique, but in this particular context, Saka should have made it easier for him.

As long as I criticize him, I would also point out situation where we could have helped him, seeing that he is under alot of pressure and that is where Saka comes in.

Odegaards' indecisiveness is glaring even not just to Gyokeres but the team as a whole. Gyokeres is just getting the brunt of it because of our high expections.

As per Ben white, what if it was Timber that was in that position? would do you think would have happened?

Its little indecisions like this that affects the outcome of games.
Saka was not indecisive, he simply didn't take the uncertainty route and chose certainty instead. What I mean by that is this: the ball clearly on his right foot , if he attempts to cross with his right foot the ball may get to Gyokeres, the ball find it's way to Fofona or the other CB running back to track Gyokeres or the ball may get to Gyokeres and he will end up losing it while trying to control.

Instead Saka passed to the oncoming Ben White who eventually crossed with his strong right foot. There's no how Saka would've crossed with his left leg with Cucurella breathing down his neck in that position. I suggest you try to watch the replay again and not base your analysis on still pictures of the incident.

By the way , there was a particular ball that was released to Gyokeres (I think in the first half) which I had thought he would waltz his way through defenders and hit a nice strike. On the contrary he fumbled the ball and ended being surrounded by Chelsea defenders forcing him to play a weak harmless ball at Sanchez. You see, nothing is cast in stone.

I think the desperation of fans to see Gyokeres shine has forced a lot of fans to pick on players like Saka, Odegaard and other members of the attack. It has led to people carrying still photos to analysis situation that happen within seconds which the players don't have any agenda or reason to beef their fellow player.

Just calm down. No use this one game conclude.
Will those two players play the whole pitch by themselves? Shebi they will still play with the other players who played yesterday.

I'm not concluding, I only pointed out my observation that most of the players appear to be uncomfortable playing from the back.

I love Saka, but that Gyokeres goal would have not happened if not for Ben White.

I saw the expression of frustration when Saka did not square the ball to him the first time. (Whether it would have been an Off or not is irrelevant here).

Overall, it was an Okay game only if we hadn’t allowed them to come back into the game.

We will sha finish them off at the Emirates last last.

Also, Kepa had a good game with some good saves but he needs to improve on his area dominance.
But it was same Saka that set ben White up for the run that ended in Gyokeres converting White's cross.

If Saka had passed with his weaker right foot, there is no assurance the ball will get to Gyokeres.Let's not forget there were two CB's around Gyokeres as at that time.

This agenda that Saka delibrately doesn't pass to Gyokeres in good position, I don't really buy into it. Sometimes what looks like a clear chance to you may not appear that same way to the player on the pitch.

Let Gyokeres continue to make himself available in good position and passes will seek him out . To the best of my knowledge, I don't believe there's anyone in the team who doesn't want him to succeed as a prolific goalscorer. He should continue to play for the team and things will fall into place.

I just hope the NFF doesn't press the self destruct button and sack the coach. Rather, he should be given an extended contract that runs until the end of the 2027 AFCON.

I am a Super Eagles supporter, not a fan. We go again in 2027.
The coach might leave on his own terms when other countries in need of national team coach come calling. Just last December it made the news that he was being owed at least 3 months salary which I don't know if it has been cleared now.

If any serious team offering him better condition of service comes calling, I won't be surprised if he takes the offer and ditch us for good.

For most part of the first half u guys overturned the ball with mild pressing from our attack guys. Odegaard just attention Saka, Trossard and Gyokeres to stay on their respective men and the ball either gets played out or onto the legs of our midfielders who have marked urs out.

It was really the second half you were able to break the press . Pedro was dribbling his way through because Odegaard wasn't doing tight marking while Esteavo had a go at Timber few times because Trossard wasn't putting his back into marking like he did in the first half. Maybe it was due to the first half booking he got sha.

I agree with u that the new coach will learn some lessons as time goes by

This is the first game and you have already come to the conclusion that we are not built for that style.

It is still the coach very first game and so there would be mistakes which is unavoidable for someone trying to implement is own style.

Personally i don't like building at the back style but if the new coach thinks he can get the desired results with it then why not?
It's not about being the first or 38th game, Just taking a look at some of your players and seeing how uncomfortable they were playing the ball and taking decisions with it, one can tell some of them do not have the required skillset for that playing pattern. Cucurella was decently comfortable with the ball at his feet, but the rest of the backline looked out of place knocking the ball around at the back.

Maybe if some of those players are replaced with others who are better suited for the style, maybe things might be different.

Super Eagle's defeat left a bitter taste in my mouth yesterday. Despite the cheap goals, I would take the win. Here are my observations...

1. We need signings this winter. Loans maybe. Timber played yesterday while not 100% fit. He couldn't even sprint properly.

2. If Arteta ever think of inverting a CB in future, Saliba should be the guy. Saliba himself needs to stop holding back. He needs to let go. He can be overly cautious at times.

3. Trossard is beginning to play too much. I know say you fey vex but biko stop dribbling unnecessarily and shoot the ball or cross sef. All this atilogwu dance no dey benefit us.

4. Second leg is going to be tough. They will come into the game hoping to get something out of it especially with majority of their stars back.

5. Raya is good mehn. We need to appreciate him more.

6. Happy for Brock Lesnar. I hope that goal brings more for him.
If Raya had started ahead of Kepa, I am confident he would've come out to deal with those crosses that led to Chelsea's two goals. Kepa is just not convincing when it comes to commanding his aerial domain even though he's a decent shot stopper.

Zubimendi played really well yesterday; he was pressing Chelsea relentlessly and won ball in dangerous areas. On top of that, he scored a nice goal. I really like how he has helped our midfield since the departure of Partey; one thing I admire about him is the fact that he doesn't shy away from being involved in attacking play.

As per me not taking my dinner because of the Super Eagles losses in crucial games, na my own coping mechanism be that, and I don't think it's out of place to lose appetite for food when such happens.
Baba there is no better time to protest other than during World cup qualifiers and during a competition when they have the attention of every football loving Nigerian. Imagine if they decided to protest their delayed wages and bonuses in an inconsequential match, most people won't take them serious and NFF might decide to punish them since attention won't be on them.

The truth is we need to demand accountability from our football federation. Why is it always hard for them to pay those athletes and their coaching crew? Yet we do not hear NFF staff and top executives ever protesting for their own salaries. There should be consequences for those their actions and inactions when such matters happen. We shouldn't leave them and be chastising the players for demanding wage that is rightfully theirs.

If countries that are poorer than Nigeria and minnows in global football stage are paying players on their national team as at when due, what stops Nigeria?

That building play from back this Chelsea new coach is trying to establish will boomerang against teams that press high up the pitch.

The way most of Chelsea defenders and midfielders overturned the ball yesterday with just medium press from Arsenal's front men, it gives the vibe that they are not built for that style of play.

If not that Arsenal players were wasteful in front of goal, the scores would've been scandalous. If were as clinical as we were against spurs, Chelsea fans would've been cussing the team for trying to play a pattern they are not suited for yet.

{{ I'll probably get lots of flak for this but I agree with Charles Anazodo.

Nigeria is a dysfunctional, we all know this NFF is inefficient and a clog in the wheel of our football progress, fact!. There is massive corruption in the NFF, true. . Players will always be owed allowances, bonuses, awards, no be today.

But everything we have achieved, every laurel we have ever won in football has been despite the systemic corruption, the poorly run NFF and maladministration of our football.

If money is the players only motivation to play and they cant do it for the honour of the badge and repping Nigeria, then they should reject their invitation to the national team because NFF is notorious for owing, will not pay them as at when due and will always owe. Simple!

Football is a very emotional sport. Nigerians are heavily and emotionally invested in the Super Eagles. People have been sent to their early graves on account of the team's loss. Did we not read about the Nigerian who slumped and died due to the team's loss to Ivory Coast in the last AFCON final? Me, I couldn't eat the night of the 2022 WCQ loss to Ghana, ditto last year's playoff loss to DR Congo. I was irritable and brooded for a week before I got over it.

People lost livelihoods and income because of their non qualification. Brands attached to the team lose money and revenue too. Edafe Mathew Elegbete of Elegbete Sports said the Super Eagles failure to qualify for the Qatar 2022 world cup put him $250,000 in debt.

Their incessant protests at every crunch time has become silly. They protested during the WCQ playoffs, dem jabo. Dem wan play AFCON Q/F against their toughest opponent, they are protesting again. Where is the sense in that? Didnt they learn anything from their last protest? At this point, their protest has become a tool to blackmail and sabotage the country.

Hand don dey pain me so make I put full stop for here but I am glad people are now calling them out now for this nonsense behaviour.

Below is the post I made in the Super Eagles thread on this their AFCON protest.}}

Somebody posted the above here. Cunny man die, cunny man burry am. I'm sure I don't need to spell out the name of the lecturer that posted it.
To start with, Charles Anazodo is a fooool who speaks from different sides of his mouth based on his bias at each point in time. A guy did a twitter thread showing tweets at different times in the past from the same Charles supporting Super Eagles and Super Falcons players who protested their wages in 2019 . He didn't say they were wrong then, instead he helped them amplify their voice on social media till the issues were resolved. He probably had no love for Buhari's government and reasoned like a normal human being then.

Today he is a strong BATist who sees every criticism of government or its agencies from the lens of his political bias and always rise to defend them even when the defenses doesn't make much sense.

How can any reasonable person leave NFF the culprits and be attacking the players demanding their wages/bonus? Does that make any sense to you? Since you are saying the players should not honor invites if they are doing it for money, maybe the NFF too should start putting a caveat out when they send invite that the players will not be paid. So let only the mediocre players who need national team for exposure honor the invite . Even countries poorer than Nigeria pay their players for international duty , but Nigerian players should play for charity. Shior!

Anybody that refuse to eat over a game of football that has 3 possible outcome(win, draw or lose), that's their personal problem. Even players of top clubs in Europe lose important matches and still go out to chill with their loved ones. Guess what? They will receieve their due wages as stipulated in their contract. Anybody that foolishly lose valuables because they bet on football match, such a person does not deserve to own that cash or property in the first place.

NIS didn't even apologize. They rather made it look like he's whining, and the Ndidis of the structure took over.

With the battered mentality of the average Nigerian, nobody can take us serious.
As in Nigerian politicians and people in government struck gold with the mentality of the average Nigerian. They would refuse to hold people in government to accountability, and when you do they would rather attack you instead of facing the government that has failed them.

It was just funny seeing people of different backgrounds attack Fisayo over that post. You would see people wearing suit on their DP suggesting they work in the corporate world, you see business men, you see a student and even those based abroad all behaving the same way ; attacking the person holding government accountable while making excuse for the government. They will say things like "maybe they have produced your passport but you are the one that didn't call their number to find out", "you are the one that messed up paying for delivery when you could've just driven there to pick it up", etc

Fisayo even said he paid for it to be delivered.

After he released the post, automatically, someone from NIS called and delivered it to him

Such coincidence grin
I read through Fisayo's thread on twitter and from the comments I see the reason why Nigerian politicians will never take Nigerians serious. Like I saw why Nigerian politicians will make a promise , fail to keep their promise and will still have dumb Nigerians defending them to the extent of calling their fellow Nigerian who is trying to call politicians out different names.

Fisayo gave detailed information about how he paid for delivery which was premised on the minister's propaganda of contactless passport production and delivery within few weeks, yet in the comment section there were people insulting Fisayo calling him clout chaser for not going to NIS office to pick his passport up.

I was like how dumb can these people be? Someone decided to test the system that the minister has been boastfully lauding all over the media , the system failed to deliver as being portrayed by the minister and somehow we have people abusing the person who was on the receiving end of the system failure angry. They never thought of the fact that the moment he needs to pick up the passport himself having paid for delivery , that shows the system has failed.

I also experienced similar issue when I processed my passport too last year , the passport didn't come out on time and the NIS tracker site was stuck on "passport production in progress" for a very long time; longer than was envisaged. The fact that a lot of people don't bother themselves to come to social media to dispute the minister's claims of efficient processing, government apologists think everything is well.
