It's no joke. Tinubu is now respected and adored in the North as a political leader par excellence for defeating former almighty PDP and supporting President Buhari's ascent to power. The same thing with Ameachi.

Hausa people invented this thing that you call Aba invention. The battery is to power the fan which blows air into the coalpot. Go to Kano its not new to them.

Exactly what I was about to say, however expect some shots because these people hate to learn of the exploits of others. Their reaction when they learnt a Hausa-Fulani man co-invented the Chevrolet Volt electric car remains fresh in my memory.

Alleged Connection between Boko Haram and Nigeria’s Fulani Herdsmen Could Spark a Nigerian Civil War

Publication: Terrorism Monitor Volume: 12 Issue: 10May 16, 2014 04:37 PM
By: Andrew McGregor

In recent weeks, Nigerian security forces have claimed that some groups of semi-nomadic Fulani herdsmen engaged in bitter and bloody conflicts with farmers in several Nigerian states are actually composed of members of Boko Haram. A statement from Nigerian Director of Defense Information Major General Chris Olukolade claimed the potentially dangerous identification came during the interrogation of Fulani herdsmen arrested after a series of killings and arson attacks in Taraba State (Vanguard [Lagos], April 23; Leadership [Abuja], April 24; Nigerian Tribune, April 24). Reports of Boko Haram members (who are mostly members of the Kanuri ethno-cultural group) disguising themselves as Fulani herdsmen while carrying out attacks in rural Nigeria are common.

Politics / Re: A Bayelsan Woman Enjoying Oil Money(photo) by BluMalam(m): 5:43pm On Aug 23, 2015
You keep running around in circles.

Immediately after the oil boom, Federal Government commissioned BEICIP to carry out feasibility studies:

(a) to determine national demand for
products
(b) Consumption pattern and
(c) number, size and type of new
refineries needed to meet demand.

Feasibility Studies’ Findings;

a) Petroleum Products Demand was
growing between 6 – 12% p/a for
all products (petrol was the
highest. LPG was the lowest)

b) Two new grassroots refineries
were needed immediately to meet
the demand.

c) It is generally cheaper to refine crude
oil locally than import products.

d) Consumption pattern was generally
as follows: 45% in the West, 28% in
the East and 27% in the North.

Actions taken :

1. Warri Refinery project was awarded to Snamprogetti SPA of Milan in Nov. 1975 after an international bidding exercise. The capacity was 100,000b/d, cost was US$478million for a 30 month project duration.! The refinery was completed and successfully commissioned in
September 1978.

2. The Kaduna refinery Project was the second of the two new refineries the Federal Government decided to build. The choice of location was a strategic decision, since it was far inland from the source of crude oil supply. The refinery consist s of two types of refining streams:

a) 50,000b/d for Lubricating oils,
waxes and asphalt production and

b) 50,000b/d for regular fuels, LPG,
PMS, Kerosene and Diesel

3. The engineering, procurement and
construction contract was awarded to
Chiyoda Engineering and
Construction Company of Japan in
1976 at a cost of US$525million. The
duration of Project was 36 months.
The refinery was completed in
September 1979 and commissioned
soon thereafter.

Hopefully it can penetrate your dense skull in a few words, the decision to site a refinery in kaduna was strategic. Anyone else is free to build their own refineries in Onitsha, Aba or Yenagoa if they have the capacity.

huangcheng:

Michael like i said before, you build tank farms for storage of petroleum distillates not refineries. In economics, there are 3 key areas to a possible production frontier. On this discuss, i'll settle for one which is "Productive efficiency".

PRODUCTIVE EFFICIENCY: The ability to produce a good using the fewest resources possible to yield maximum output for the minimum cost. - Investopedia

Before an investor set up a production firm he considers 5 important things;

1. Availability of raw material
2. Cost of Labor
3. Market potential
4. Overhead cost
5. Transport infrastructure

Given the above string of parenthesis as a private investor, will it be a wise idea to situate a petroleum refinery in the North?

Its not really true. APC supporters in the SE contributed immensely in Buharis victory. Kos the PDP guys would have allocated much votes to GEJ as they did in 2011 and it would have neutralized PMB 3 million winning votes.
Kudos goes to APC SE guys especially Rocha's Okorocha.

To be fair, I agree.

The efforts of berem, egift, obiagelli et al. contributed in no small measure to the success of the campaign as well.

Common sense will tell u when election is between north and west that it is SE and SS will decide the Winner. By then igbos will align to d north and west will be helpless. Maybe Orji Uzo will be claiming the jagaban. This is common sense. A neutral zone aways d decider.

Of course, as far as the SW is not contesting, SE votes are useless and if they're contesting, they will only be used as pawns as they will be too happy to settle for VP (mere commissioner according to you) to any Northerner.

You think like politics is mathematics. There aire many twists and turns..

Now to a very important reminder i wish to alert to Fulanis and Hausas..If you keep sidelining the Igbos and make them feel a conquered second-class people politically and socially, note that a day shall come either by fate or fortune that one of them shall ascend the presidency..You shall be paid back doubly in your coin and then they will willingly break the country..

You and your people should always do what is right.

Until the SE stops playing politics of hatred, drop their desire for vengeance for the war, and humble themselves to learn the rudiments of politics (stoop to conquer, alliances etc.), they will continue to subjugate themselves as second class citizens.

Take that to the bank.

LWKMD delusions of grandeur. Dem no give you speaker in 2015 and you believe they will give you the presidency in 2023? Chai bros are you for real?

chukwudi44:

LWKMD Saraki don say him be fulani , una come de force to become Yoruba chai Lol Atiku is already warming up and have virtually taken over the APC party and you are hoping the north would give you power chai una mumu too much.

Let me tell you, the events of June 9 had the blessings of the Daura President, your local champion has served his purpose and is now been dumped

Don't be silly, you think I don't know this? The North is protecting itself from losing 2019 and that's the fact, I predicted all you have said with my other moniker even before it happened, the point is the North will back the SW in 2023. We did it for OBJ after he handed us power 20 years earlier. If you think the North can be shortchanged for 2019 then cheesy

If you think I'm Yoruba, check when I joined this forum with this moniker. You guys are just irrelevant.

Tinubu is in too much of a hurry, he will reap the ultimate in 2023 when the North backs the SW for the Presidency. OBJ reaped his rewards as well 20 years after handing power to a Hausa/Fulani in 1979.

At least when igbo did collabo with we north we went a away with something substantial. We also had the speaker of the HOR and other key posts. When did Yoruba not ever contest? Awolowo contested thrice and failed woefully.Obasanjo in 1999 was a northern adopted candidate

So now a VP post is suddenly substantial? No longer a mere commissioners post? You guys are sore losers for trying to make the Yoruba's feel unimportant. The current speaker is Yoruba (don't give me the fulani crap, I'm fulani and we know our own) so what's your point again I ask? When did Yoruba not ever contest? Yoruba's did not contest in 2015 and that's why they have now rendered the SE irrelevant.

In 2023, the North will also support the Yoruba nation to clinch the presidency, we did it for OBJ and we will do it again.

And how many people voted in SE and SS compared to those almajaris that voted massively in the North. Even war ravaged states had more voters than a peaceful SE.

That's the point, they lack the numbers to be relevant as chukwudi44 was trying to claim.

Just like shagari, Obasanjo etc also won without the votes from the west

For Shagari, that was because the SW votes went for Awolowo. For OBJ, that was a Yoruba-Yoruba race against Falae so you have no point.

The SE is not needed for any region to assume Presidency and that's a fact. President Buhari did not get an ounce of support from the SS/SE but won the elections by a convincing margin, that is a lesson in itself.

Every body counts during elections, no region is superior to another.

Lol, the last elections proved that statement to be a blatant lie. President Buhari won without an ounce of support from the SE so shove that lie where the sun doesn't shine.

First of all you cannot analyse what you do not understand, understand that.

1). Your claim is a blatant lie. The person who nominated Dogara, a northern christian, was Hon. Abdulmumuni, a northern muslim from Kano State, and was supported by northern reps across party lines. it is on record that all members from Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara voted for Dogara regardless of party. The southern reps members were USED.

2). Atiku and the nPDP governors, in a bid to whittle Tinubu's influence, financed and backed Saraki against Lawan. The grand plan is to take control of the Senate and House, and then defect to sieze control of the PDP since it had already stated it had zoned the 2019 Presidency to the North.

3). The fact that you didn't sense Atiku in all your permutations shows your infancy in real politics.

Achievements

1. The CPC wing of the APC has succeeded in gaining substantial control of the Party by reducing Tinubu's influence.

2. Atiku and the nPDP (Kwankwaso et al.) have control of the Senate and HoR, paving way for the re-emergence of the PDP and their eventual return to their original party.

I believe the ultimate aim of this letter is still unknown, why is she trying to curry the favour of the present administration, to the point of washing the family's dirty linen in public (even if it has been done before). The stakes must be quite high and must be clarified.

Regardless, i strongly suspect the 'Jonathanarians' hand in this.
