Hello house, this is my first and it's going to be my last contribution to this topic. Be ready to be contacted in 2 weeks time. Thanks and let's meet at the induction

I have a nagging belief that this is a DPR employee going by the seeming certainty of his assertion and immediate deactivation of his moniker.

Thanks for the info, see you at the induction by God's grace.

You guys believing tamihawtt like everything she said is 100% correct. SMH

Good morning sir, how exactly does who believes whom affect you? Is it your 'believing'?

Now that Tami has been irritated into deactivating her moniker, I hope the irritants are happier.

All these childishness from supposed adults is quite embarrassing.

Might as well unfollow the thread. Good luck to everyone.

Tamihawtt87 is valid for a senior staff working there for some years but not for entry level staff be it SS6 or SS5

She was clear about her source of information which was from the last intake (which invalidates the bolded) but you've provided no source for yours (especially as you've stated you're not yet a DPR employee) so in the absence of superior information on entry level pay like I said, her figures remain the most valid.

I don't agree with you bro..
What's so special about revealing salaries especially for a government agency that belongs to everybody in the country?

Even the salaries of coys in the top 100 places to work aren't kept as secret. Must companies would love to flex their salaries so as to attract competent employees. But nah, this is Nigeria, everything is abnormal.

Please educate us the more, I'm sure a lot of people would want to learn.

Exactly.

Glassdoor.co.uk is replete with salary scales of the juiciest firms and corporations in the world, and the irony is that the figures are mostly submitted (anonymously) by personnel of such firms in contrast to the position of the person you quoted.

Most times it makes little sense to publicly claim to know what one is unwilling to share. Right now Tamihawtt87's figures are the most valid in the absence of superior information.

Any pending applicant in Lagos region that got mail/sms?

I haven't heard of any Lagos applicant with a pending status. Most (if not all) are Abuja applicants.

Pending status is different from portal closed.

I'm guessing you're the Abuja batch. Dates and venues will be released likely this weekend...as long as you've been invited on your portal then no worries.

Hello, can anyone tell if it's advisable to add a recently conferred Msc. since the profile is editable again, or should I just leave it and upgrade if eventually appointed? Would it help or hurt my chances? Thanks.

Why then did they apply for the program if they were unwilling to work? If the stipend is too small for such people why don't they simply resign? I'm sure there are other diligent young Nigerians that need that little sum of money and are honestly willing to work.

The nauseating attitude displayed above will seriously impact the sustainability of the program.

why should i? what you write is the only thing that can convince me to check your profile not you asking me to do so. You made no sense in saying what you said at all. And Keep the word childish in its place, you're not the one to use it savagefinder.

sokera:
if you mean what you say then you should know this government is not silent on the issue , I will ask you this do you know how many Nigerians this government evacuate in Libya this year alone ?

Instead of him to accept he was wrong about this governments efforts regarding the issue, he is busy grandstanding to mask his bias in his little bubble. Despite the fact that thousands have been rescued this year by the Buhari administration (most of who left during his predecessors misrule), it eats at his soul for the government to receive commendation for its efforts.

Kudos to Abike Dabiri/FG joor...if they hadn't done anything the same people would have called for their heads.

Wow wow wow just survived a mini heart attack...

So I've been away from the thread since Saturday, decided to check at 5am and all I could see were congratulatory messages....knowing I hadn't received any invite mail or SMS, I instantly broke into cold sweat and a kind of panic I havent experienced since secondary school boarding house general thrashing (whipping).

As soon as I surfed to earlier pages, I got the info that the invites were on the portal...I raced to my profile....checked...and voila! Invite for Abuja!.... cheesy cheesy cheesy... The way I jumped from the bed for joy no be here o! What an emotional roller coaster at dawn.

To God be the glory. Congratulations to all those that were invited for crossing this major hurdle and I wish us all success at the interviews. I also encourage the APC crew to look at this situation as cup half full not empty, because God in his ultimate wisdom might be preparing you for greater exploits.

Bless.

Remember a deadline was given to those required to make an update which has since elapsed and they are still having access to their portals .

I think if what they (dpr)always claimed about this portal saga is anything to go by, by now all portals would've been closed even if regret and success mails/sms have not started rolling OK?

Simple and pure indisputable logic.

I also thought all portals would be closed by the deadline, but alas a handful remain open to this moment.

I digress a little...

If anyone here wrote the aptitude test for Nigerian Ports Authority in Abuja, they are advised to check their message boxes for interview invites which have been sent out. Interviews start Monday.

There's a thread already created to share information https://www.nairaland.com/4143999/nigerian-ports-authority-calls-interview#61998985

Good luck to all of us waiting on DPR, NPA, ECOWAS et al.

I can see you are enjoying ur status. can you fill a document on presenting it to an official for recriutment then, you were ask to retake the process by updating it to overtake your co-applicant without noticing a question tag.

Due to the time it's taken since the initial applications (almost a year), it is entirely plausible that the details of applicants to be interviewed need to be updated to accommodate and reflect any changes. I was simply pointing out a logical scenario, not gloating as you erroneously assumed.

Regardless, I wish you the best.

Clearly the overwhelming majority have had their portals closed/didn't receive any update alerts, at the recruitment stage where the majority are being weeded out to get those that qualify to be interviewed.

Use your tongue to count your teeth.

PJMasks:
120,000 applied for this job.
70,000 were fortunate to write the test
Rigorous process to shortlist 3,500 candidates for the interview. Out of which 400 as opposed the initial 700 some of us speculated about will be selected as DPR staff.
Mind you, all these 400 will not be on merit list!. Nearly 60% will be for those with the longest legs in this country. The rest...it's going to be highly competitive. It's safe to say there's hope in a "no man's land" than in this country in terms of white collar job. This will probably be my last post on this thread.
For those with portals closed, please be HOPEFUL as there's nothing God cannot do. I wish y'all best of luck. I've moved ON unto greater things by God's grace.

I like your spirit. You're a realist, and that positive attitude will take you far even if you don't land the DPR job.

I still have access to my profile (i've never had problems accessing it) and I received the sms and email yesterday.

Methinks the update is in DPR's realization that some applicants details might have changed since their initial application last year. For instance, I was still in the UK after finishing my masters when I applied and didn't have a Nigerian phone number so I used a family members number (through which I received the sms yesterday), but this update opportunity allowed me to update my phone contact as I've since returned and now have a Nigerian phone number.

We should all remain optimistic, but common sense dictates that if an applicants portal is closed and he/she did not receive the update alert from DPR, then chances are that they might not be proceeding further in the recruitment process. Having said that, I wish everyone the absolute best in their pursuits.
