He prophecy dat power will shift to north n it happen, he said last year dat buhari will have health challenge n it happen, b4 December 2016 mmm break he predicted dat ppl will cry as a result of losing money in mmm n it happens, January 2017 he said more ppl will still loss more money n it happens so I think we should pray dis prophecy shld be reversed He said Goodluck would win. This was how he put it: I see president Goodluck Jonathan coming back but troubles. He also said he saw a woman becoming American president. He also said El Rufai would not win the Kaduna gubernatorial election. He also said Dangote would drop from Africa's richest. He said the 2015 election would be violent and end in court cases. He said Okorocha would move to PDP Too many blunders. He is definitely a false prophet. |

umuna: Not meant for every body! But meant for the wise to discern! Happy new year! So, one now needs wisdom to discern prophesies? Bro, you don't need wisdom. These prophesies are vague. A true prophesy needs to be direct to prevent the hearer from misinterpreting it. Here below are two prophesies from Elisha. They contain elements of preciseness and time which most short-range prophesies have: Then he said, "At this season next year you will embrace a son " And she said, "No, my lord, O man of God, do not lie to your maidservant." (2 Kings 4:16) Then Elisha said, "Listen to the word of the LORD; thus says the LORD, 'Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine flour will be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.'" (2 Kings 7:1) Elisha's prophesies are direct. There is no how the hearers can misinterpret them. Happy New Year to you. |

Blacksodje: https://believersportal.com/bishop-david-oyedepo-2018-prophecy/ These are prayers, not prophesies. However, you must beware of false prophets like Oyedepo. “And many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many." (Matt. 24:11) You can see the danger that false prophets pose? They will lead many astray. It means they will prevent many from reaching heaven. And what is the essence of the Christian journey if the Christian gains the whole world (which is what the false prophets preach) and loses his own soul in hell? |

petra1: I agree that there are prophecies that may not be changed . Also There are prophecies that may be influenced . If you believe a prophecy didn't get fulfilled let the prophet himself explain because you're not there to know what happened behind the scene. Sule is a false prophet. Hope you know that? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Was Apostle Suleman Correct On Buhari's Bereavement Or Coincidence? by BluntBoy(m): 3:00pm On Dec 31, 2017 |
petra1: He ought to have asked the prophet what to do . He would have received guidance .
Look at these two verses below
Luke 11:10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
The two verses may sound contradictory . What will happen if one person argue from one scripture against the other man who holds the other scripture . When it come to spiritual matters we should not be quick to judge but rather ask question .
Isreal lost the battle with Moab despite prophecy . It became a mockery against isreal .
God told Moses he would bring the people out of Egypt into the land of promise. But it didn't come to pass . Moses didn't bring them into the promise land . Did Hezekiah ask Isaiah what to do? No, he didn't. |

petra1: You're on a fence of double standard. I've told you ,prophecy is not absolute . there is human part to prophecy . the fulfilment . the verses i gave to you shows that there are things to do to fastract on hinder prophecy. Did God not prophesy on isreal did they believe? paul told timothy to meditate on the prophecy he received so that his result will manifest. there is a man part. You are the one calling God a liar, if not, you will take to pieces this verse: If the prophet speaks in the LORD's name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the LORD did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared. (Deuteronomy 18:22) That is enough to tell you that prophesies are absolute and when they seem to fail, they only fail from a human perspective. |

HEZEKIAH Isaiah told hezekiah he would die in his sickness but it didn't happen .
2 Kings 20:1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
But when prayers were offered .God changed the situation
2 Kings 20:5 Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord
Why was Jonah angry at God . He prophesied as God told him that a city will perish , but it didn't happen Because the man prayed and God spared him ..
JOHAH AND NINEVEH Jonah 3:4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
Did Nineveh get overthrown ?
Jonah 3:10 - 4:1 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry.
Some prophecy can be changed by intercession or prayer or desperate act of the people .
KING OF MOAB
Elisha prophesied isreal will defeat Moab .
2 Kings 3:18 And this is but a light thing in the sight of the Lord: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.
But it didn't happen .isreal lost the battle . Because the King offered his son as sacrifice. Jonah's prophesy did not change. God's intention was known to Jonah. The real prophesy was to transform Nineveh. So he complained to the LORD about it: "Didn't I say before I left home that you would do this, LORD? That is why I ran away to Tarshish! I knew that you are a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. You are eager to turn back from destroying people. (Jonah 4:2) Isaiah's prophesy did not change. The first prophesy was in harmony with the eventual prophesy. God re-sent Isaiah to Hezekiah. It was not Hezekiah that went to meet Isaiah. The intended prophesy was to elongate Hezekiah's life. As for the prophesy concerning the Moabites. It was fulfilled. The Moabites were trounced by the three kings in fulfillment of the prophesy. There was nowhere in the Bible where it was written that the kings suffered death in the hands of the Moabites. Lastly, God's word does not change. And should there be instances where it appears that a prophesy changed, one must not use them as excuses to justify the acts of false prophets like Suleman. Instead, one should endeavor to draw a parallel or to discover a harmony between the supposedly failed prophesies and God's given way of identifying true and false prophets ( Check: Deutoronomy 18:20-22) In Jonah's case, he already knew that the prophesy God was giving him would fail. It was not really a literal prophesy and Jonah was on about his credibility as a true prophet. That was why he was angry. In Isaiah's case, God re-sent him to Hezekiah. What parallel can you draw between these prophesies and the false prophesies of Suleman and TB Joshua? Obviously non. When asked why his election prophesies failed, Suleman claimed that people involved called and he gave them prayer points. Where is the parallel between this and the prophesies of Jonah and Isaiah? Jonah knew the real prophesy and ran away to avoid bearing a supposedly failed one. If you want to know, I can give you some reasons why Suleman, Adeboye, Oyedepo and many other self-acclaimed Nigerian prophets are false prophets. |

But it didn't happen .isreal lost the battle . Because the King offered his son as sacrifice. But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for the LORD, the son born to you will die." After Nathan had gone home, the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife had borne to David, and he became ill. David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and spent the nights lying in sackcloth on the ground. (2 Samuel 12:14-16) Well, the child died. Remember that David was a man after God's heart. About the prophesies of Jonah, it is not as straightforward as you make it. For every seemingly failed Biblical prophesies, there are more prophesies that came to pass against all odds from the prophesies against Eli to that against King Saul. I repeat, prophesies are meant to be fulfilled. |

Prophevies are not absolute . Many times they call the prophet and he tells them what to do to avert a predicted disaster. He said Buhari would be bereaved ,people didn't know it was Buhari son , they thought Buhari would die. If they had asked . A prayer would have averted the bike accident the president son had Do you study your Bible at all? Bro, prophesies are not warnings that you can pray against. Prophesies are meant to be fulfilled, no matter how long it takes. That is one sure way to know a true prophet from a false one. If the prophet speaks in the LORD's name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the LORD did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared. (Deuteronomy 18:22) |
