KmniAutos:I am telling you, my brother ![]() |
kingthreat:You wrote that your friend was initially restraining the boyfriend. Your friend did not attack the boyfriend because the lady was slapped. He attacked when he was attacked himself. So, save me that emotional bull.shit about your friend trying to be chauvinistic. If there were cameras, he would have run all the time he was using to restrain the enraged boyfriend. Moreover, if your friend knew the lady had a boyfriend, then he is a pussy of a man. It doesn't matter whether he supposedly attacked the boyfriend for slapping the lady he was hooking up with. And it doesn't matter whether the boyfriend and the girl were married. Every relationship demands a form of loyalty. It is not until you marry a lady that you start showing loyalty to her. And if your friend knew there was a relationship in place, then he is a big fool. Anyway, my issue is not about all that emotional nonsense. My issue is that if there were cameras, and people making snide remarks in the background, your friend would have japa even before the boyfriend slapped the lady. |
kingthreat:It is because there were no cameras. If there were cameras, your friend will be too embarrassed to even know what to do. His worries will be his reputation, and the fear of appearing on Nairaland frontpage. So, all the time he was busy trying to restrain the enraged boyfriend, he would have beat it. |
0taPiaPia:Under Sharia law. That is why the Hisbah is handling it. |
enemyofprogress:SMH... |
KmniAutos:I was very young when my parents lived in a building where the landlord also had a flat. My parents never had any problems with the landlord and his family. But the other tenants, especially one engineer like that always had problems with the landlord. He was mostly not at home but whenever he was at home, it was always enough drama for us. There was even a time when this man brought police to arrest the landlord, and a week later, the landlord brought Mopol ![]() |
okewumi:How is it the government's fault? |
Obiaksnews:Go and read the article again. The cry did not start today. |
Dreal1247:Do the pastors fear God? Please, it is all about the money. Oyedepo knows this, and the landowners know too. Only the sheeple are in the dark. |
I didn't feel any differently. I was preoccupied with something else. Months before I traveled, I was having nightmares that I died in a plane crash. I was sure it was not anxiety because that was not the first time I was traveling in a plane. That year alone, I had made many air trips from Lagos to Abuja, especially. So, when I made my first trip outside Nigeria, I was scared all through. I took a bus from Abuja to Lagos (something I always did using a plane). So, all the way to Mumbai, it was hours of nerves and prayers. |
engrchykae:Yes, you are very right. Although, one cannot say for certain that Moses was wiser than Albert Einstein, let alone far Science is older than we think. Did you know that Africans were already masters of caesarian sections before the colonialists came? Banana wine were used as an anaesthetic. Imagine. These people had knowledge passed on over generations. Listen to all these old women who help deliver pregnant women in mission or traditional houses. Even without any education, their understanding of medicine is remarkable. And when you ask them how they know so much, they will tell you they got the knowledge from their mothers who were equally uneducated (formal education). The whites did not only steal our arts, they stole our science too, and lied that they were the ones who gave our lives meaning. I have diverted. My point is: science is actually older than we think. Engineering is very old. Chemistry is very old. Mathematics is very old. We continue to uncover massive structures from many centuries ago which are pointers to the advancement of engineering even many centuries ago. |
dominique:Exactly my thought. So, someone can just raise an alarm against me, and people will come and burn me to death? Reminds me of Aluu4. |
So, based on the accusation of one person, a human being was burnt to death. |
greygoblings:The melting of the ice will only threaten coastal cities, nothing more. Drain all the water in every organism, and the collected water would not even inundate lake Chad. You people are actually underestimating the size of our planet. |
AmazingELixir:No. Impossible. Melt all that ice, and only several coastal cities will be lost due to rise in sea level. |
Deicide:Yes, the earth is 70% water, but we were discussing the earth when it was supposedly inundated with water, at least 95-100% water. We were talking about an earth before this 70% water earth. And as for the word "lost" that I used, I meant where did the water go? It is impossible for evaporation alone (in the absence of condensation) to significantly dry up a waterworld even in 3 billion years. Your water cycle nonsense does not explain it. And the Earth's rocks do not as well, at least not as well as how Mars dried up. |
WILLuKPquiet:The 6 days are literal. That we know for sure based on the age that Adam was recorded to have died. If a day was a thousand years, Adam would be 1000 years old after God rested on the seventh day. You seeAre the extraterrestrial beings constrained by the very time that they purportedly created when they began creation or do they exist outside of time as we know it? If they exist outside of time, then they must be bound by a time created by an even higher being. Our years are like seconds or minutes to them. How so? If they created time, how could they be subjected to it? For example when we live up to 90-100 years we are glad as we see it as a long time of life. But to them it may be like some minutes. Because of the difference in terrestrial timing. What is time? Who created it? Another example Science claims the life span of Mosques is 7days or so (I am not sure)Life span of mosques? I don't understand this paragraph one bit. The Bible has made it clear that a day in the sight of God is like a thousand years of Man.You have misunderstood this verse. Peter was merely teaching about the patience of God. With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:8-9) Man is so impatient that he wants things to happen quickly. When God does not answer him, he gets angry and might even misinterpret God's slowness as God's nonexistence. When God promises you a car soon, and you wait twenty years, it doesn't mean God has forgotten the promise. We, believers in God, are still waiting for the Second Coming. We have waited and waited to the extent that some people have begun to believe that Jesus Christ is not coming back again. However, Peter's teaching is focused on patience. We cannot afford to contain God in time, rather we must trust in His judgment. Time may have gone by, but God's promises are still valid. |
SultanOfAbia:Many creation stories begin with an earth covered in water. Even the Yoruba creation story begins with an earth covered in water. Oduduwa comes down with a chain, pours sand, and a chicken spreads the sand around to create land. |
Deicide:This does not explain where all the water went. Haven't you heard about condescension and the gravitational field of the earth? Even if it were possible that the water all became gas, how possible is that all the water was lost over a short period of time through evaporation alone? |
If this news is true, then, Gbajabiamila is nothing but a big disappointment. Very insensitive. |
Jesuyinka01:How does it concern me? What type of ignorant question is that? When people were buying and selling and ripping each other off in the temple, did Jesus not whip them? Why didn't He mind His business? So, don't expect me to mind my business when wolves in sheep's clothing pervert the gospel of my Lord and Savior. It is the task of every Christian to safeguard the Word from false teachers. That was why we were left the Holy Spirit to teach us so that people like Adeboye will not succeed with their greed. Every responsible Christian must make it his concern to speak against false teachings. In that way, we will be saving millions from taking the broad road that leads to destruction. |
Kbs468:Joshua will put his IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight championships at stake in his homecoming fight in London to stay on course for a massive unification fight with WBC champion Tyson Fury. Joshua must end the hopes of his mandatory challenger Pulev - the experienced Bulgarian has lost just once in 29 fights, to Wladimir Klitschko in 2013, but has since beaten Derek Chisora and Hughie Fury https://www.towerfm.co.uk/news/sport/joshua-vs-pulev-anthony-joshua-to-face-kubrat-pulev-on-june-20-live-on-sky-sports-box-office/ As you can see, Pulev is an IBF challenger, yet all of Joshua's other belts are at stake, and not just the IBF alone. If Joshua loses, Pulev will claim all his belts. |
Kbs468:Listen, when the WBO mandated Joshua to fight Jarrell Miller, Miller failed a drug test, and Ruiz was called in. When Ruiz beat Joshua on a WBO elimination bout, how come he took all of Joshua's belts and not just the WBO? How come he also took the IBO which was clearly not directly in contest? Please, whenever Joshua fights, all his belts are always at stake, irrespective of whose mando he is fighting. He goes to every fight with all his belts, even if it is against a mando contesting him for a single belt. And when he wins, all the belts get placed on him as a symbol that he has repossessed them. Joshua will go with all his belts to fight Pulev. And if he loses that fight, he goes home empty-handed. |
OlawaleBammie:In boxing, winners take all. |
dhareh:Bro, don't get confused with mandatories in boxing. Winners take all in boxing. If Pulev beats Joshua, he takes all the belts. Mandatories are just to make arranging fights easier and fair to every ranked boxer. Whenever Joshua fights any of his mandos, all of his belts are always at stake. |
Righteousness89:Yes, bro. Joshua has four belts, but one of the belts (IBO) is a minor belt. In boxing, the winner takes all. So, if Pulev beats Joshua, he takes all the four belts just like when Ruiz beat Joshua, he took all the four belts. |
Righteousness89:It has always been the case. During the days of Mohammed Ali, there were only 2 major belts. During the time of Mike Tyson, there were 3 belts. But now, there are four belts. Since they added a 4th belt (WBO), we have not had any man (fighting in the heavyweight class) hold the 4 belts at the same time. So, we have not had a 4-belt undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. The last undisputed heavyweight champion of the world is Lennox Lewis. |
Righteousness89:There are many titles, but four major ones. Anthony Joshua has 3 of those major titles while Fury has the last one. Any man who holds the 4 titles at the same time becomes the undisputed champion of the world. |
Nigsrdumb:Then, you can't be certain about anything. Might be two fighting, rather than one bullying the other. Moreover, I am sure there are many Isolated cases of Chinese bullying in Kenya, but this one got some attention because it has a video and some considerable amount of social media uproar. Governance is not only for government. If you didn't mention the Chinese incident, how would I know? How would Buhari know? Today, even the Nigeria Police has a Twitter account to handle complaints. If you don't complain, many issues would end up isolated. So, no one should compare Kenya with Nigeria when it comes to dealing with immigrants. Maybe the average Nigerian worships foreigners, it doesn't mean our government is that lily-livered. |
IsaacRocks:You people are something else. So, you didn't see anything wrong in what you wrote earlier? |
TemmyT002:It depends on how you define blessing |
IsaacRocks:So, praising a mere mortal is now a weapon of warfare? Many of you may not know it because you don't read your Bibles, but God is a jealous God. He will never share His glory with anyone. |
