God does not need that useless theatre. |
bignoisemaker:The thing tire me o. |
petra1:You are being slippery. Just answer a simple question: Do you tithe the Abraham way or the way of the Law of Moses? |
petra1:The Jews messed up by worshipping the golden calf. The Levites stayed on the side of God and He chose them. Bro, the Levites had redeemable properties. Moreover, properties are not just clothes and beds. They also include houses which the Levites could redeem when they were suffering extreme poverty (excluding feeding which they got from tithes). See the Bible verse below: So the property of the Levites is redeemable--that is, a house sold in any town they hold--and is to be returned in the Jubilee, because the houses in the towns of the Levites are their property among the Israelites. (Leviticus 25:33) If you read that verse, you would see that Levites made money from leasing out their lands just like every other tribe. Now, that reminds me. Do you know the Law (which includes the Tithing Law) could only be practised in the Promised Land? Now, lastly, since you agree that Abraham tithed beyond agro produce, why are you making a case for God? You claim tithe was food because majority of the Jews were farmers. Since Abraham had animals, why was it never recorded that he tithed out of these properties? When the kingdom was established under Saul, how come it was never recorded later in Nehemiah that the Jews tithed money or gold? Nehemiah explicitly mentioned the storehouse which showed that long after Saul and David and the wealthy Solomon, tithes were still food. |
petra1:God's original plan was to make the Jews priests. They messed up and the Levites were gifted. God sent Jesus to actualize his original plan by dying so that we may be reconciled and to share in His priesthood. Jews were not all priests at the time of the Law but the death of Christ made them priests who believed in Him, whether they be Jews or Gentiles. Second, the priest lived within the temple. The Levites were first a tribe so they had their own city. Do you think they had no properties before God chose them? If beds and plates are your own excuse for believing that priests received money, then, I can only shake my head because you have rendered me absolutely speechless. I don't suppose you think that the priests bought the snuffles and bowls by themselves. I want you to shoot yourself in the foot by answering if what Abraham tithed was agro produce. So, don't be angry that I will be answering your question with a question: "Did Abraham tithe agro produce |
. |
petra1:First of all, Jews were not all priests. God had the plan but they messed up by worshipping the golden calf and the Levites got the honor for staying on the side of God. Second, money was used with a condition attached to it because God wanted tithes to be land-based. And moreover, the tithes which could be redeemed with money was not the ones to be given to the Levites. Moreover, the money was soon to be used to buy what the owner desired in his heart - which was again food. Third, the priests had their clothing specially woven. It is hard to believe that you would think to use that as an excuse to justify paying money as tithes. There were even instructions on how they were to be made. And please, stop lying about your sort of tithing existing before the law. We all know that Abraham's tithes were conditional and voluntary. I hope you know that voluntary and law do not go well together. It is either something is voluntary or obligatory (legal, law) |
When they arrested Kemi Olunloyo, some gullible Christians thought it was God punishing her for speaking ill of Adeboye. I remembered telling them that we live in a lawless country. For those who still laugh at Kemi, I hope you know that it can be you tomorrow. Instead of mocking an illegal arrest, you should be scared. The same way he was allegedly arrested that the blogger was arrested was the same way Kemi was arrested -- commando-style. |
petra1:Sorry, no parallel. Everyone who has been reconciled with Christ shares in His eternal priesthood. So, a true believer in Christ is a priest and Christ is His High Priest. Pastors are shepherds. Paul believed that they should make a living (not wealth) from the work of God that they did. What is "make a living". It means to have basic necessities: But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. (1 Timothy 6: It was one reason why tithes were food. Tithes was a food program instituted to cater for the Levites, and by extension the priest, and then the poor. Another reason was because man could not boast of being in direct production of food. He depended on God for rain and sun and a good harvest. If tithe was money, man would not appreciate God as much as he would if tithes were factors that he has limited mastery over. Lastly, supposing pastors are priests, then they shouldn't be collecting tithes directly. The gateman (an equivalent of a Levite) should gather the tithes and take tenth of the tithes (one percent) to the storehouse for the use of the priests. And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house. (Nehemiah 10:38 ) Also, the priests had laws guiding their conducts. They had to maintain a HOLY appearance. One of the requirements of a HOLY appearance is stated in the Bible verse below: "'Priests must not shave their heads or shave off the edges of their beards or cut their bodies. (Leviticus 21:5) |
petra1:So, your pastors are equivalent of the priests of old? |
mikky2k2:Someone once said there was power in the aprons that the adherents of the Lord's Chosen wear. Well, it is obvious now that they are just pieces of clothing. Only God's protection is sure, tested and unbreakable. RIP to the dead. |
petra1:Tithe is not given to God. The Bible said God gave it to the Levites: “To the Levites I have given every tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service that they do, their service in the tent of meeting" (Numbers 18:21) One of the services for which the Levites receive tithes is taking care of the temple. I believe you know that these involve tasks of cleaning. I have not heard of pastors sweeping the inside of the church building, yet they earnestly earn tithes. |

Airforce1:Yes, she is truly beautiful. |
Airforce1:She is Odunlade's sister-in-law (the younger sister of Odunlade's wife). |
Hotshawarma:She messed up joor. Now, that she has exhibited that ugly side of her, other trolls will be taking position to capitalize on that. Same advice I gave Seyi Law who always replied every bad comment about his daughter. When the trolls know your weakness, they will start using it to enjoy themselves at your expense. Once you learn to ignore, they will soon get tired and leave you alone to go look for another victim. Look at Genevieve who used to be trolled about dating Atiku. After constantly ignoring gossips, they stopped. |
frankIzuchukwu:Too many grammatical blunders. Surely, this list wasn't made by Mbaka. |
Babydd:Face: 0.5/10 Breasts: 2/10 Hips: 1.5/10 Ass: 1.5/10 Total: 5.5/40 Absolute Total: 1.4/10 So, I rate you 1.4 on a scale of 1 to 10. |
jamariwolf2:I will advise that you keep a low profile until my investigations are over. |

Oh, forget it. I just explained that prophesies are direct and yet you are making it look exclusive. You are making it look like prophesy is speaking in tongues that needs interpretation. Open your Bible and check up the prophesy of Nathan to David or the prophesy of Isaiah to Hezekiah. I am sure you know that even a kid will easily understand those prophesies. Even a 2 year old child would understand Jonah's prophesy to the city of Nineveh. I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be edified. (1 Corinthians 14:5) If you read the above Bible verse, you would understand why Paul favored a prophesy over speaking in tongues. For prophesy, you don't need interpreters. It is clear enough for everyone to understand. But speaking in tongues needs interpreters. |
umuna:Bro, what sort of an excuse are you making? Are you joking or allowing the devil to use you? When the Word of God comes to a prophet, it is not for the prophet to edit it or to sugar coat it. It is for him to say it as it is. A prophet is a messenger and not an editor. You are talking about level. Does Adeboye come close to Nathan or Elijah or Elisha or Isaiah who were sent to rebuke kings? There was no prophet that was loved by the people, especially the people in power, because prophets always delivered prophesies, no matter how bitter or terrible those prophesies may be. Bro, stop making these terrible excuses. For heaven's sake, stop it. Do you even know what point you are trying to make? You are saying that God gives His word to Adeboye but Adeboye can decide on how to deliver it. Not even great prophets like Samuel and Elijah dared change the Word. |
umuna:Like I said, if prophesies are direct and precise, no one would be able to misinterpret them. Show me one prophet in the Bible who was not influencial in his time. And yet when the Word of God comes to them, they say it as it was given to them. They feared no one. They were only messengers. What the hearers did with the prophesies did not concern the prophets. |
