CaptainMeks:It is not my fault either if your understanding of English is so basic that you can't twist statements well enough to suit your own purpose. And mind you, learn to use a comma whenever you attempt a question tag exercise. you wouldn't know, would you? |
CaptainMeks:Bro, did you realize what happened there or you are too dumb to see that I twisted your own words there to suit my own purpose. "You would know, wouldn't you?" you foolishly asked. I replied that anyone with a half a brain should know that a eunuch has a flaccid dick. |
Tayeni:Coward, come out and face me, you pathetic village idiot. |
CaptainMeks:Anyone with half a brain is different from half brain, my friend. And mind you, proposing that anyone with half a brain should be able to do something is not an admittance on the speaker's part of possessing half a brain. |
CaptainMeks:You didn't know even though anyone with half a brain should. I might have to teach you the ABC next. |
CaptainMeks:Anyone with half a brain should know, shouldn't they? |
CaptainMeks:As lame as the dick of a eunuch. |
CaptainMeks:1) I am also a fan of Seyi 2) I honestly don't suppose that Threebear sought your advice before you gave it. 3) I have also said what I felt needed to be said and to whom I felt needed to read it, which happened to be you. So, keep your wretched fingers to yourself in the future. |
CaptainMeks:He called Frodd frog; he called him an idiot. He has also gone personal on Tacha severally here. So, he is already at the bottom. I am not a fan of Frodd, but I would never go this low to show my distaste toward his actions or inactions. I am also not a fan of Mike. I find him rather too bland, like someone who would rather be somewhere else than in that house. But there are certain, very low words, I would certainly never use to convey my distaste. So, be kind enough next time to tell even your closest friends the truth when they mess up. Tell him he has gone low on this one. Don't try and rationalize nonsense simply because it was expunged by someone from your camp. |
Correcto:Read this for starters since you refuse to refute my claims with links to credible websites: The United States is the largest foreign investor in Nigeria, with U.S. foreign direct investment concentrated largely in the petroleum/mining and wholesale trade sectors. At $2.2 billion in 2017, Nigeria is the second largest U.S. export destination in Sub-Saharan Africa. The United States and Nigeria have a bilateral trade and investment framework agreement. In 2017, the two-way trade in goods between the United States and Nigeria totaled over $9 billion. U.S. exports to Nigeria include wheat, vehicles, machinery, kerosene, lubricating oils, jet fuel, civilian aircraft, and plastics. Nigerian exports to the United States included crude oil, cocoa, cashew nuts, and animal feed. Nigeria is eligible for preferential trade benefits under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA). https://www.state.gov/u-s-relations-with-nigeria/ |
scondy:Damn. This is one of the wisest sayings I have ever heard/read. |
Correcto:How did I switch? |
Correcto:The biggest trade partners of the USA is the European Union. If you lump them together, rather than treat the countries in the EU separately, Nigeria would be among the top 30 biggest trade partners of the United States. And mind you, when I mentioned trade partners, I had described Nigeria as an African superpower, and I was regarding Nigeria as a big American trade partner based on that, and not generally. Africa does a lot of importation and that makes the continent home to a lot of Asian, European and American goods. Nigeria has the biggest population which has the potential to overtake the USA in a matter of decades. So, any industrialized country cannot afford to joke with Africa, and because Nigeria has the population, a large market of buyers for these foreign goods, no country can afford to sideline Nigeria now or in the future. |
orunmila144:Is the law now based on what reaction a crime draws? Bro, this is Nigerian police. Leave jaywalking for American police. A Nigerian police can beat you up for even looking good. That is how ridiculous it gets. Seems like you don't live in this country that was why you even wondered if police can beat anyone up out of boredom. Have you seen a typical raid before? When some policemen will just put their vans on the road and start picking up random people to take to their station. So, yes, Nigerian policemen can beat you up out of boredom. |
orunmila144:And was he beaten for walking slowly in front of their van or for not running? According to the story, he was beaten for not running. Does running nullify the crime of jaywalking? If it doesn't, then you shouldn't have mentioned jaywalking in the first instance. |
Correcto:Share a link to one credible website, my friend. Just one link. Is that too much to ask for? If I had checked and found you right, would I still be confident enough to ask you for links? |
orunmila144:Neither are you. There may be more to this story. And yes, if you know the Nigerian police, you would know they could even kill you for no reason. |
orunmila144:Inconsistency, bro Probability and common sense don't work well together in matters like this. The story says he walked in front of their van, rather than run. If he had run, would it have been less of a jaywalk? |
orunmila144:I am talking about what I watched. But the story did not say that much. You can walk in front of a patrol car that is not on the road. Some patrol cars are packed beside the road with the Vans facing the road and people passing to and fro in front of it. So, from the story, it is hard to conclude that he was jaywalking. How you reached that conclusion based on the story is beyond me. |
meobizy:Lifestyle. You would be shocked at how hypertension is becoming very common among people under 40 in today's world. |
orunmila144:The story said he walked past in front of their van. Nowhere did it say he crossed. Moreover, I have just watched the video and I can see the van parked in front of a zebra crossing. I don't see how the story reads that the man jaywalked. |
orunmila144:Nowhere in the story or from the pictures did it seem like he crossed the road in front of the police van. |
orunmila144:That is not jaywalking. |
Bossontop:Youssou N’Dour, Ali Farka Touré, and Angelique Kidjo are some of the black Africans who have won the Grammys. Angelique Kidjo even has 3 Grammys. So, you can see that it possible for black Africans to also win Grammy Awards. However, an African who wants to win must put in extra energy than their counterparts from other continents. Global awards don't come easy for Africans, especially. I don't know why. But where an album can win a Grammy for an American singer, an African singer might need 4-5 consistently great albums to even get a nomination. But can Burna Boy win? I doubt it. If the likes of Femi Anikulapo Kuti who command great stage performances (the likes of which you hardly see in today's world where most of our artistes are helped by studio tricks) has not even won a Grammy before, I doubt if Burna Boy can win it. He could help himself by doing more live shows to convince people of his talent. He could do more for himself by enrolling in a music class to have a better understanding of music. |

Correcto:Rather ambiguous. You can't tell me to go to Google as if Google is a website. Google is just a search engine. Be kind enough to share links to a website that omits Nigeria from the United States key trade partners. We can resume our arguments from there. If Wikipedia is your best bet, then I honestly hope that you know how Wikipedia works and how to judiciously use information on Wikipedia without coming off as an ass. Wikipedia is an open source, so without much careful thoughts and without the help of additional sources, you might be using a wrong or outdated information. Someone here once argued an issue with me in 2019 using a Wikipedia information that was last updated in 2013. So, be careful not to make a fool of yourself. |
omamush:Just wait for it. |
DownChelsea:Tragic, my brother. Tragic. But evictions are a primary aspect of the game. |
Well, I just heard from a reliable source that Esther and Venita would be evicted on Sunday. The source mentioned a twist, and a possible 3rd eviction. |
Correcto:You make a blunder, and when you are called out, you start running up and down like a headless chicken ![]() No one cares about why Russia was suspended, even though we know the reason, but it has no place in our present argument. Stay on the argument, please. Your original position was that a country like Nigeria that is not a super power cannot be accommodated after "messing up". Now, I have told you that even a super power like Russia was suspended from the hitherto G-8 and was not accommodated immediately. Russia has not even been reabsorbed. Now, you are trying to make a case for why Russia was suspended like we care ![]() You are asking who Nigeria is in world politics? Bro, you have a lot to learn. Nigeria is Africa's largest economy, and the 30th in the world. Nigeria is an African superpower and Africa is a very large market for European, American and Asian goods. One of the United States main alles and trade partners is Nigeria. |
Correcto:You referenced Chad indeed. You made a case for Deby, describing him as one who never defies court orders, and when I described who Deby really is, you brushed it off, instead of backing off. You kept on trying to downplay the serious abuse of rights under Deby. No one should take you seriously. |
Correcto:Bro, you have no point. You have run from pillar to post in your bid to make a big deal out of why Buhari was not invited to this year's G-7 summit. I can't believe that you would be so desperate as to support the totalitarian government of Deby in Chad. You hate Buhari so much, but it is obvious that it is for no reason. Because if you claim that you hate him because he defies court orders, then why do you defend Deby who is a despot? Buhari has not even done half of the human rights abuses that Deby has done, and yet you are shamelessly making a case for Deby. Imagine Buhari banning social media the way Deby did in Chad. Would we even be having this conversation in peace? |
