WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY DISCUSSION WITH ANDY UBA ON ANAMBRA ELECTION - IPOB
..
The attention of the Indigenous People of the Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU has been drawn to the laughable and disgraceful statement credited to the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the Anambra election, Andy Uba that he met with IPOB members to discuss the forthcoming governorship poll.

We therefore, want to make it categorically clear that Andy Uba met nobody in IPOB. IPOB has no interest in the zoo election, and could not have met with Andy Uba or anybody or politician for that matter to discuss anything partaining to election. Andy Uba and his likes should leave IPOB out of their politics. Again, Andy Uba could not have possibly accessed the leadership of IPOB. He should therefore stop using IPOB to get cheap popularity.

IPOB has no time for political desperados whose only interest is their pocket. How could we have granted audience to Andy Uba who has never issued common press statement against killings by Fulani herdsmen. What has Andy Uba done since our leader was abuducted to seek his release? It's now that Andy Uba is involved in the Anambra election that he knows he can engage IPOB?

We challenge Andy Uba to disclose the IPOB members he met with. Again, we won't tolerate the use of IPOB's name for any scam. Enough is enough! We also warn media platforms to ensure they verify any news that has to do with IPOB before publishing. The media especially social media should stop using IPOB to market their platforms.

We caution politicians to stop associating IPOB with their dirty politics. We have no interest in the zoo politics. Our mandate is to restore Biafra and we will not be distracted from that objective for whatever reason.

Andy Uba and the APC's merchants are yet to flag-off campaigns in Anambra State. One can hardly find a billboard or poster bearing any meaningful message from the controversial candidate of the APC for ndị Anambra. Shame!
Rather the APC had mounted a huge billboard at the Abuja airport fitted with neon lights but sadly beaming signals of absenteeism and cluelessness.
The APC has no single presence in the State save for millions of Naira shared out at ungodly hours to desperate politicians and opportunists .
It would be recalled that Andy absconded to Abuja and operated from the air during his ignominious and forgetful two weeks misrule. This is another pointer that he will be absent from Anambra and will operate by air and through phone calls to his lackeys. Ndi Anambra will not allow that to happen.
Little wonder the Abuja airport billboard has no message but:
A Vote For Andy Uba Is A >> Direct line >> To Abuja..

Anambra politicians must stop this embarrassing attitude of going to Lagos, Aba and Abuja to do campaigns for an election that will hold in Anambra state. I know that a large number of Anambra indigenes live outside the state but the truth is that they don't vote in Anambra. A lot of them are already registered to vote where they reside, the PDP candidate V. Ozigbo is even registered in Lagos, don't know if he has applied for transfer yet. The fact is that only people living in Anambra be they indigenes of Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Abia or Ebonyi, Cross River or Kogi are eligible to vote and all this running to Lagos, Abuja or Aba to campaign or debate shows that these politicians are not in touch with reality.

It really baffles me..

Those people that live outside Anambra would definitely not come back to Anambra to vote because their Voters Cards were probably registered to Polling-units that are at their States of residence..
So, why the waste of strength?
Anambra People live there, yes we know.
But their Politicial importance to the State is next to zero.

Content is key, that's why we keep coming back here but on it's like advert is King, for the first 2 to 3 pages are all full advert text and images every damn where one would have even forgotten the title of the content he wants to read by the time he finally wade and sieve through the adverts, even the content when finally found are usually in small text to show how unimportant they are, that you will mistake them for footers

Eastern Cape councillors in hot water

Political leaders in the Enoch Mgijima Municipality (councillors) who oversaw the construction and unveiling of the controversial 15 million rands (368 million naira) Lessyton Sports Field in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, are in hot water.

The provincial Cooperative Governance minister, Xolile Nqatha, gave them 48 hours to tell him why they should not be suspended for reportedly wasting taxpayers' money and bringing the ruling ANC party into disrepute.

He was speaking at the sport field during an oversight visit on Thursday.

This after pictures of the under-resourced sports field, which circulated on social media this week, caused an uproar.

Scores of people questioned its hefty price tag.

The sports field has no working ablution facilities and electricity, while its grass athletic track is marked with fading white paint. It also has removable roofless metal stands for spectators.

Nqatha said the fate of councillors depended on the report he was expecting from the municipality's speaker, Bongiwe Gladness van Heerden.

"Therefore, the speaker, who is responsible for [the] code and conduct of councillors, must give me a report as to what she is doing to ensure that those councillors are held accountable.

"For that, I am giving her 48 hours to give me the report showing what steps she is taking to hold those councillors responsible for bringing the institution into disrepute."

Speaking in the presence of the municipality's leadership, Nqatha said: "I am not a technical expert, but what I have seen and what I have read, there is no value for money here. There's got to be accountability as to whether due processes were followed in appointing the service provider and what really happened."

Meanwhile, the ANC's provincial executive committee (PEC) said if the investigation found any wrongdoing, the provincial government would act and deal decisively with corruption, mismanagement and the waste of public resources to make sure public money was spent on the services needed.

You can also get this kind of thing in Nigeria.
