You need to write a proposal on your preferred topic and send to your supervisor
pimper24:
Guys I have been offered admission but told that I need to have a proposal approved within a year.
The rest of instructions are about payment of part tuition.
Pls what next need I do? Work with my supervisor virtually or apply for Visa? The man is not really answering those questions

Abuja is walk in except things have changed due to lesser crowd than lagos which does by appointment. You should check vfs south Africa website online first. It's online!

Go to Nigerian Consulate office in Johannesburg.
It's quite pricey now. There were protests of recent due to its price increase
ayodeleajayi220:
How much is renewal of passport in SA and what are the steps to follow. Thanks
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Blurpy: 4:44pm On Jun 01, 2021
No o.. only when coming to SA
Venquire:
I mean can you travel to other countries from SA using the permit without a passport?
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Blurpy: 7:30am On Jun 01, 2021
Yes, if you have it. You don't need to apply for visa while coming to SA
Venquire:
Can you use a valid resident permit to travel?
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Blurpy: 7:53pm On May 31, 2021
Which category of visa are you applying for?
Fruit4me:
but how can I have travel history when all countries refused to grant me visa? I have multiple registered businesses which I have used for application, I hv used my former place of work (construction company) yet no way. I have tried all means. Uk agents almost emptied me because of travel, I have tried Europe too, Canada in fact I’m tired. I have prayed and fasted too grin lol
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Blurpy: 6:28pm On May 30, 2021
Lol. I never went to SA for job. My visit there was by chance as I was on an assignment from a nig diplomat there. I am back in Nigeria. If he is qualified for critical skill list,i.e healthcare,IT ,and apply for critical skills visa then it's worth it. No hard feelings
Simplechap:
coming from someone that actually wanted to relocate to south africa.. Why would you relocate to a country on visit visa and expect to get a great job in the first place?
If you applied for visa on the right category, you have nothing to worry about.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Blurpy: 5:30pm On May 30, 2021
You should read the handwriting on the wall, SA doesn't want Nigerians to be migrating there any longer, they make everything difficult now for Nigeria, from visas to work permits, residence permit etc. Nigerians there have messed up the reputation of the country (drugs, fraud etc. The place is beautiful no doubt but there is no job if you're not a critical skill worker e.g healthcare,IT . I know it would be like I'm discouraging you guys but it's the truth. I was invited by a nig. diplomat at nig embassy Pretoria and the visa ought not to take up to a week as other countries but it took not less than two months even with email follow-up from the nig. embassy.

TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Blurpy: 8:19pm On May 28, 2021
Nobody chases citizenship in SA anymore. A valid resident permit is enough to cover everything. What I mean is that there are more opportunities in the west than SA and furthermore their xenophobic attitude towards Nigerians is a factor
Venquire:
Diplomats have a valid reason because even if their children stay for 10 years, they would still not be eligible for citizenship.
CrimeRe: Okorie Chukwuma: Security Man Kills His Boss, A US-Based Nigerian In Abia by Blurpy: 7:33pm On May 28, 2021
You are wise.
Commotfornigeri:
As a comfortable diasporan visiting nigeria, everyone should be a suspect to you.

Everyone is spying and listening to the kind of calls you make. Don't go screaming about big money.

When people come to ask you for money, sometimes they want to size you. Share some bad news about how you're struggling to meet up with bills and how you currently dont have shishi.

Post them until you travel. You can resume your goodwill when you're back to base.

DONT SHOW OFF! SOME PEOPLE DONT WANT THE BREAD, THEY WANT THE WHOLE BAKERY!
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Blurpy: 2:02pm On May 28, 2021
Ok sir.
Don't relent in your application then, keep applying
mrflex999:
Can’t you read or you have comprehension problem ?

Where did I say I am going to sa for hustle ?

I applied 2013 and later 2019 should tell you alot
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Blurpy: 3:08am On May 28, 2021
Yes
Venquire:
Do you mean Nigerian diplomats working in South Africa?
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Blurpy: 5:55pm On May 27, 2021
Please we should look outside SA. If you don't have anyone strong inside to pull strings for you, there's no need to go to SA for hustle. Look to other countries where you can become someone without regards to where you're from. I know top Nigerian govt people working in SA but their wards are not even schooling in SA. I'm not discouraging you but do have a valid purpose and plan well mapped out
mrflex999:

TravelRe: Iyabo Awokoya: Immigration Services At MMA (Lagos Airport) Is A Disaster by Blurpy: 7:19am On May 20, 2021
Exactly my experience in march to South Africa.
My departure wasn't stressful sha because it was a midnight flight. But my return to Nigeria was hectic, as soon as we entered the arrival hall ,it was soooooo booty mehn, I mean real hot that we started sweating, talmabout we were all wearing sweaters some hours ago. The health/covid19 officer check was very slow with the queue but this was a heaven when it came to the immigration check, Omo there is no sort of organizement at all. No queueing arrangement, the officers were even quarrelling amongst themselves, some on mufti too, most just came out to carry their own persons which must have greased their palms especially foreigners who would pay in dollars. The South African with me couldn't even bear to wait for me when I was awaiting my luggage at the luggage section because the environment was just too hot.
Then trolleys were used for free at OR Tambo Airport but in Nigeria those officers will want to collect like 500 before allowing you to use it. Omo, I lose hope for Nigeria o. But I still believe in Nigeria, if only insecurity will be solved to an extent, good roads and electricity, naira valuation to some extent, I swear all Nigerians abroad will come back .
