bellong:Na the way forward be that I believe.. I just hope EA doesn't assess me as a Technologist... That one go just throw cold water on my ginger ![]() The struggle continues. |
metrecube:I need 20 points.. i've already lost 5 points from age, and I don't have enough work experience to claim. As it stands, a positive assessment will put me at 50 points .. na why I talk say "Too bad" .. No be say band 8.5 bad .. haba.. .. na the score arrangement no pure for its intended use. |
bellong:yes boss. once dem roger certificate on monday, i'll appeal. however, wait o.. can I use the result while its under appeal? I want to assess with EA asap |
guys my IELTS just got released... viewed online Listening: 9.0 Reading: 9.0 Writing: 7.5 Speaking: 7.5 Overall: 8.5 Too bad. what do you guys think, should I call for a review of the last two or just register for PTE-A straightaway |
catchdwind4rmkd:I agree.. This thread has history, someone new to the process can always go back to read questions that have been asked and answered. A whatsapp group doesnt have that.. the gurus go end up answering the same set of questions over and over and over with each new person that is added. This thread remains the best forum in my opinion |
Thanks... make i sharply rearrange... |
Question for the Engineers.. I have read the whole MSA user guide from EA - it is possible I missed it - but I did not see anything about the Chronology of the CDR as a whole pertaining to each CER.... So I want to ask, Is there a specific chronology? do we write from most recent to the oldest, or from oldest to most recent;;; for example if I have 3 episodes from 2012, 2013, 2014 is there a specific rule that says maybe CER 1 MUST BE 2012, CER 2 = 2013, CER 3 = 2014 OR , CER 1 = 2014, CER 2 = 2013, CER 3 = 2012 If there is no such rule,, what arrangement is recommended? Abi it doesnt matter? Thanks (i've finished writing two... i'm on the last one, na why I dey ask) |
Actually the post sounded more like an elder bro scolding his lazy sibling... just saying.. The message is clear though... |
jukeblam:chai, Thanks oooo.. You just reduced the task by 90 percent ![]() |
small question for the house .. I'm drafting the CDR for Engineers Australia and still writing CER 1.. but one small problem dey.. i've been looking at the summary statement and I dey get headache.. so I need to ask; Is it necessary for EACH CAREER EPISODE to contain ALL THE ELEMENTS in the summary statement? or is it that EACH element must be reflected in at least one paragraph of ANY OF THE THREE EPISODES.... I say make I ask before my head go reach critical temperature ![]() THANKS |
diggy4real:Same as my school. That is not a problem though. Apply for a transcript with your school using the official address of anybody you know; could be a friend's office. For example, I sent mine to my dad's office. Of course you'll inform the person, so when it arrives, the person will simply hand over to you.. Voila, Official Transcript in hand. ![]() |
Bros Bellong, I have a final question of my own.. After graduation (Electrical Engineering), my Nysc was at a Ministry of Power and Energy.. while I do not intend to claim any work experience, (I no kuku get enough years), I was thinking I could use the experience from that one as a career episode and call it an UNPAID graduate attachment that I did for Continuing Professional Development... Reason be say I feel its a strong plus for me, and I don"t want to just let it waste like that, it wont be easy to generate 3 career episodes from I.T and Project alone... anyway, enough story My question is,, is this possible? wont they attempt to treat it like experience? Will they accept a career episode that looks and sounds like work experience as NOT BEING work experience? Thanks... |
oknee:I dont understand ... he got a positive assessment... what does he need another assessment for? |
bellong:Thanks boss.. That one don dey cleared up.... second question, I read the MSA guide in full, and my understanding of it was that assessment is divided into Professional Engineer, Engineering Technologist and Engineering Associate WITHIN your specific engineering profession.. However, from what i've been reading on this thread, it appears that for example: If you apply for assessment as an Electrical Engineer (professional engineer) and assessment comes out and classifies you as Engineering Technologist (which is the most likely outcome without work experience), you can no longer apply for 189 or 190 as an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, but only as an Engineering Technologist. is this correct?? |
Kudos to everybody who has contributed to this great thread... There is a question bothering me that i've been unable to find an answer to after reading every page of this thread. Please, those who have gotten 189 or 190, where did you get your visas? I mean the physical visa that goes in the Passport.. Reason why I'm asking this is because, I'm in the UK and I would like to avoid a situation where application is made in the UK, UK visa runs out, decision is made, visa is granted, however, i'll then have to return to UK for the Visa.. That kind thing no go make sense at all... Please clarify. Thanks |
