Please I am looking for someone who has processed either 189 or 489 outside his home country and got it. Please!!!
I got my ITA already. Am a Nigerian in US studying and am doing all this Visa processing from US. I pay everything with my money from US and am doing for my family too but now I encountered a place in the form80 where they want to know who is funding my trip and my family and I want to be be careful before filling.....that’s why am asking if we have people among us who has been in my shoe before or now

I was in your shoes. Processed 189 while studying in UK. You are funding your trip. That is not an issue to worry about

Justwise, this thread has been derailed.

At this juncture, just put that"Thread Closed" thing on this thread to stop further comments.
However, let the thread remain visible.

I just observed that the first thread is still hidden. If you could make that one visible too, that would be much appreciated.

As I said earlier, the biggest obstacle to a new thread is the historical content of these last two threads. As long as they remain visible and we can link back to them, the content in them will remain useful..

You can proceed to open a new thread as originally planned

Thanks.

Less than that but I will remove the ban temporarily for the ad to be removed.
Okay, cool.

Ok, that's because the second ban by antispambot is still active but it goes off after 24hrs then he can edit his profile

Okay, so Bellong should wait for 24 hours?

You obviously talking about what you have little or no knowledge about.
Yes you can edit your signature while banned as many have done it before..
Justwise, this thing does not require major back and forth.. I have never been banned before, so I wouldn't know what you can or can't do. All I see in the image is an Edit profile page that is greyed out...

If you could unban him for a day, and he doesn't remove the ad, then that would be a different matter..

That thread will be restored only when bellong removes the visa ad on his signature.

I just noticed that he took over that thread and started charging people for immigration services
Actually this is only partially correct. He announced that he now has partnered with an immigration service for those who don't want to do it themselves.
Long after that, he still continued to answer people's questions free of charge

He can't remove his signature.. you can't edit profile when you are banned. Look at this. The entire profile is blanked out

Guys, Justwise has removed the entire "General Guide to Australia permanent residence" thread.

Please, we need everybody to request that the thread be returned...

It does not make sense. This thread has helped so many, and continues to help so many... Its an archive of information that people can consult for guidance...

No matter the reason, denying people of that much historical information cannot be justified.

No new thread can match it anymore,. So many people who posted their experiences there have moved on and don't come back to nairaland. Even if they did, you will find that all our posts on the topic have also vanished,.

I'm not sure what the process for petitioning moderators is, but we need to get the attention of the mods and ask for our thread back.

#BringBackOurThread

Good day house, I have Bsc in Civil Engineering in 2010 and Msc in Civil Engineering in 2018.
First of All, since you have a Masters degree, Canada is currently much easier for you to process.. infact, with just above Average English scores, it will be a breeze... Bear that in mind.

To answer your question - (since you'll need to prove work experience for Canada as well anyway) - Contact the specified companies and have them provide you with backdated payslips and employment letters. These payslips should match the company name and match the payments made to you, however do not provide bank statements unless you are asked to do so....

If you are asked to provide bank statements, it is not going to be a problem because it actually happens quite often that the officialname of an organization is different from the account name they use... You'll be fine as long as the amounts and dates on the payslips match the stuff in your bank statements.

Don't forget employment letters o... If possible, reference letters too...

Cheers.

Still on the accent matter, I have found that its simply less stressful to speak in a way they expect to hear. When I speak normally, even fellow Nigerians might not hear me properly cos I tend to talk lazily, drawl or mumble,..
However when I'm in PTE mode (thats what I call the accent) grin, I don't get complaints.. it becomes even more obvious when I'm tired, I might pick a call at work and start talking normally...... the moment the other person goes "I'm sorry, what?". ,or "I'm sorry I can't hear you properly", instant reset o... I cannot come and be repeating myself because I want to speak in my default accent abeg cheesy

What is your take regarding the flu jabs usually given at most work places ahead/during the cold season
Well, in my opinion, I prefer to risk catching it from outside than taking it into my body directly in the name of "vaccine". .. especially given the number of people who have reported getting sick immediately after taking the shot... They say that's just how the vaccine works, but I'll pass, thanks.. grin. Funny thing is, since I left naija, I haven't experienced cold, cough and cattarh (a.k.a Flu). Not even in the colder uk... Abeg e... Nothing dey happen. cool

Long drive is interesting and fun with the roads except for the speed limit which I consider ridiculously too low @110km/h for the freeways. I usually do over the limit though where I am sure there are no cameras and no mobile cameras..

I dey only get this kind mind when the terrain is flat enough that I can see at least a kilometer or 2 of road at a stretch - just to be sure there are no cars with suspicious looking antennas on the road grin....ehen, we fit dey go 150..... Otherwise, as a NSW somebody, the fear of Highway patrol is the enforcement of speed limit cool

Unlike some other states, in NSW/ACT a warning sign MUST be placed before any fixed or mobile speed camera.. It is the law... This gives some of us peace of mind cos except you are not paying attention to the road, you'll see the sign and slow down.... The only real fear in NSW is being caught by Highway patrol... Cos They can be anywhere at anytime and you often don't see them until its too late.

Greetings everyone, please i want to ask, whats the average earning like in Australia for an MSC holder in Engineering,.
First of all, you need to be aware that most employers don't particularly take Masters degrees into account... The academic requirement is usually a bachelors degree and that's it... Having a masters MIGHT give you an edge in the selection process. On the other hand it is equally able to sink your chances with some employers if they perceive you as being "Overqualified" (yes, there is such a thing.)

That said, if you do get a job in your field where your masters is taken into account while determining pay, it is unlikely for you to be paid below 80k..(conservative estimate, likely much higher) . Assuming of course you have experience to back it up..

Please I need answer to this question, if u were given 3 million naira to do business is Nigeria or to travel to Canada or Australia with original working visa, which one is better?
If it is "working visa", sit in Nigeria and do business... If na permanent residence, do it yourself, travel out, make the 3 million in less than a year and attempt the business in Nigeria to see whether it would have worked...

If you truly work at a top multinational company abroad and get paid flight and accommodation allowances as you say, why are you still paying rent? You should have your own house by now
Okay, so I don't get this... If you own a house in Lagos and work in Abuja, won't you pay rent in Abuja?

I'm having this discussion with my friend, and she has the opinion that Australia is a highly racist country, especially those from the country side.

Is this true?

What areas should one avoid when visiting Australia, or even looking to make it a home.
As Bellong said, racism is not obvious... Naija tribalism bad pass am... And when I was in uk, the racism was far more obvious.... I actually feel at home here, which is more than I could ever say in the uk.

pls i want to ask this: We hear and see in the Media that Australia undoubtedly is the country with the most poisonous and Venomous creatures...I wish to know , Has anyone come across or had an encounter with them and how safe are the areas with these animals
We would like to know. Thanks

My belief is, if pesin dey find animal, pesin go enter bush... The closer one's house is to the outskirts,, the higher the probability of running into the "owners of the land"

with that said, I saw a sizeable number of snakes, alligators and scorpions in Naija.... And I never see any here yet. ....
