Not everything must have a reason dear.

Sometimes you need to stop getting paranoia over what other people are doing, if someone wants to go for part time studies, that really does not concern you and neither does it prevent you from going for the same.

If however studying is not your thing for whatever reason, then the bible says rejoice with those who rejoice, try to be supportive of good things so blessing can come your way, abi you be satanist ni?
This thread was not created to stand against part time students.
I wonder how 'somethings' will be without reason.

Elliotwiz1: @boay, is it possible that all the schools in a particular group can qualify? Like if they all score high... Will this also happen in the other stages or just in the first stage?
Good question.
Since we have 20 schools we need to eliminate four schools with the LEAST scores after the first stage. All schools in a group can qualify for the next round if and only if they are not among the 4 schools with the least scores after the first stage. I believe have answered your question
EducationRe: Nairaland Interschool Debate. :::Planning Thread by boay(op):
@ Damitism, this is the LAST reply to your post.
You should have asked questions instead of abusing.

We allow more than 2 representatives because not all representatives will be available when the time for the debate comes.
Thanks

Tgirl4real
Please consider this carefully

If you release all the debaters' arguments at once wont that be too much for WE the audience to read, study, and learn from. Because some may not read through because it will be too cumbersome.

To respond to the earlier stated reason why all debaters' arguments will be release at once:::::::::Can't you block ALL JUDGES ALONE from viewing this topic while we the audience read and enjoy the competion? You can unblock them when you want to, so as to enable them assess the debaters arguments.

Sorry, I am only trying to make things easier for you and we the audience. Thanks

Elxandre: OP leave this people alone, they cant understand you!
I'm not suprised Nigeria is a backward country with all these comments here!
The OP is just asking what you think about the poor standards of part-time, and all i see is people insulting him!

Truth be told, the quality of graduates Nigerian instituitions produce nowadays is quite poor..

If this is the case what do you think would be of part-timers who are even handled worse?
Well OP to cancel it would be a great shame on the government, since every country has it. But improvements are needed and not just seeing them as an avenue for generating more revenue.
This comment is rare. Thanks sir. I doff my cap for you. Those salient points are noted.

EducationRe: Nairaland Interschool Debate. :::Planning Thread by boay(op):
Special Information to All Debaters

This is mainly to all qualified schools with more than 2 representatives. You are advised you cooperate with yourselves so as to present 2 representatives from your midst for each stage.

This is because only 2 'write-ups' will be considered to grade all schools and these 'write-ups' must be submitted by ONLY 2 representatives from that school.

Take an instance
If 'boay1' and 'previs1' represent FUTO in the first competition of the school, 'boay1' and/or 'previs1' will then step down for other participants representing their school to represent the same school in her second competition. This is only for schools with more than 2 representatives.

Please make sure you all agree to this, the coordinators WILL NOT DECIDE FOR YOU

This is just a suggestion to enable ALL to participate, you may even nominate 2 debaters from your school to represent the school through out while you help them with ideas and advice. The 'glory' will go to all of you-your school.

Please dont post yet
Stay tuned...

EducationRe: Nairaland Interschool Debate. :::Planning Thread by boay(op):
PLEASE NOTE
Before judges nomination begins we need you to understand the different phases and stages of this debate.

The First stage

THE BEST 16 SELECTION STAGE
This is the first stage. Since we have 20 participating schools, the schools will be grouped. Schools in each pair will compete. After this stage the 4 schools with the overall least points among the 20 schools will be eliminated from the competition to have the 'BEST 16' which will proceed to the next stage. In this stage each school should aim to score as high as possible.

Nota Bene: Be sure that the grouping will be done randomly without any bias.

The second stage

GROUP STAGE ELIMINATION:
The 'BEST 16' would be group into 4 different groups with 4 schools in each group.

Group A
Group B
Group C
Group D

The Number 1 school will compete with the Number 4 school while the Number 2 school will compete with the Number 3 school in each group. Only 8 schools will emerge from this stage.
Please dont post yet
Stay tuned...

popingo: Some many kids on nairaland, when other countries are introducing online degree programmes, this one is here writing crap. Have you forgotten when NYSC was complaining that some graduates were unable to complete some forms giving to them, now tell me are they not graduate of full-time study?. You should be using your time to think how the country will move forward, instead you are here bringing a useless suggestions. You better thank your God, that your parents where able to support you financially in school. I would rather enroll for a part-time study, rather than doing full-time prostitution in campus to make ends meet.
Thank you my sister. But how are you sure I am not a part time student? If the full time corp members could not complete their forms, then what will happen to the part time graduates? Would they be better? Why are we doing so many things at a time yielding meagre results? Why cant we focus on one and do it WELL?
EducationRe: Should Part-Time Study Be Abolished? by boay(op): 9:09am On Nov 09, 2013
I am not disturbed to see many insulting comments. But I really appreciate the people who are objective enough to contribute without intoducing 'strife'. This is Nairaland where there are many people. I dont care how insulting your comments are, I can accomodate all without reacting. I will only respond with love.
Thanks

Hayjaycity: which ones are the objective ones?....the ones that share the same view with yours abi?....
The objective ones are obvious to the critical minded. This is an opinion-based topic and it is subject to subjective reasoning to arrive at objective opinions. I am so amazed that many Nigerians get angry easily by mere listening to people of contrary opinions. I am not taking any side.

'Try to see the message and not the messenger'
Why can't many Nigerians talk without attacking the personality of others?
