BetaThings: The oyinbos have been brainwashed for years. homo-sickness is abnormal and unnatural. When you realise that indulging in such a practice can lead to an adult wearing diapers, the Oyinbos who really know will see it as more than extreme
You are already proving my point. Many in the West would consider your view extreme. You obviously don't consider it extreme. As I said, extremism is relative. Ask two people what their version of religious extremism is, and you are sure to get two different answers. The answers could even be opposite one another.

Hyping the issue of cutting hands is designed to make it look extreme. Nigerians have always lynched thieves. There was a tv coverage of the incident of a 12-yr old bouy lynched around national stadium in Lagos about 7 years ago. Afterthe posturing over ALUU, we have had lynching in Warri and Mushin area. These are urban centres
Comparing chopping off hands to the ALUU 4 murders does not help prove your point. The ALUU 4's murders were criticized by almost every Nigerian. No one thinks jungle justice is a good thing. Lynching people is always bad, period. There is no hype needed to make chopping off hands seem extreme to most human beings. Just like every Nigerian thought it was extreme when that little boy was lynched. You are not doing a good job of proving your point. If anything, you are just reaffirming that non-Muslim Nigerians view these acts as barbaric. I also see that you conviently ignored the majority that support killing people who leave Islam. I don't think you can find a single Christian in Nigeria that supports that.

The extremism you speak of exists in the minds of people who are repeating arguments made by their handlers and opinion moulders based abroad
Not even sure what this means.

Is that not the reason why we keep deceiving ourselves about a well-defined death penalty process while the police just keep administering the death penalty whimsically?
Is what the reasonhuh

Just like 70%of Christians have been reported (by the same Pew Research) to support ruling this couyntry by Biblical law. So you would find such a thinking would CRIMINALISE saying anything negative about your priests and of course Jesus Christ (PBUH).

Not that I want to abuse anybody (Islam forbids abusing leadars of other religions), but just to show you what you Christians also want and you would not open any thread about it
It is hard to understand what you are saying, but I am assuming that you are saying that 70% of Christians think it should be criminal to insult Jesus. That is just not supported by what you said. I looked and could not find any Pew study that said 70% of Christians want this country run by the laws of the bible. Regardless, if there even is a poll, I am willing to bet that no one in that poll said anything about supporting chopping off hands, or killing people who leave Christianity. You will also have to provide some kind of proof for the claim that anyone wants to criminalize insulting priests, or insulting Jesus. That is not consistent with the climate of tolerance we see in Nigerian Christian communities, and with Christians around the world.

The poll is clear in its inconsistency. If the 49% who support of Al Qaeda do not see it as extreme, what exactly do they see as extreme to be included within the 73% who fear extremism? Please when people do shoddy work, you should be courageous enough to resist the temptation to use it to malign your favourite whipping boy - Islam

To start with, if 49% of Muslims had a good view of Al Qaeda, you would be posting on Nairaland from your grave!
If 49% of Muslims had a good view of Al Qaeda, at most only 51% would be worried about extremism, not 73%
That is the math. Tell me what else an Al Qaeda supporter would view as extreme! You support this report, explain that inconsistency
This is easy to explain. You just have a poor understanding of these statistics and what they say. 49% approving of Al Queda does not mean that 49% are members of Al Queda. For example, I can approve of JTF without leaving my house to go kill Boko Haram members. Most of the 49% that approve of Al Queda are clearly the same way. They are happy with what they are doing, but they don't directly participate.

This statement: "At most only 51% would be worried about extremism", is incorrect. Extremism is a separate question from the Al Queda support question. They have no direct relationship with one another. To make it easy for you to understand, allow this example. There are 100 people in a room. 71 of them raise their hands to say that they are worried about Islamic extremism. Of that 71, 20 could be worried about nonviolent religious groups. 30 could be worried about Al Queda type groups. And 21 could be worried about Sufism. When people say that they are worried about religious extremism, it doesn't mean that they all have to be worried about the same thing.

Look at this video about how statistics even from popular organisation don't add up

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Iz_cjaeao4

But people like you continue to defend it like faux (fox) news do because the report is a handy tool to clobber Muslims by

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Totz8aa2Gg

And the minority, according to the "polls", is less than 49% unless percent is no longer based on 100!
Those videos are straw men. They have nothing to with the Pew poll. And your comment about Fox News is irrelevant.

Also, you are clearly in the minority in everything I mentioned, such as support for killing people who leave Islam. There is only one stat where that doesn't fit. I stand by what I said.

You would notice his thread has failed, a report that states clearly that 73% of Nigerian are concerned about the rise of Islamic extremism creating the dilema how did 49% came about viewing al qaeda favourably anycase it indicates he neither read the report in its entirety and even resorted to misquoting the report, which use the term view favorable to mean support, to save face he now raised the issue of zakir naik, which again underscores the word evangelism by lies - as again he does what he is best at, misquoting people to say what he wants them to say, that he has raised repeatedly in other threads. I really need to do a thread on Evangelism by lies.
You really should learn to read carefully.

Extreme is a relative term. To the average African person, gay marriage is extreme. To the average oyinbos, gay marriage is NOT extreme. Think of your own examples.

If someone thinks it's normal to kill someone who leaves Islam, or to chop of the hands of thieves, they can still say that they are concerned about extremism. The question is WHAT does extremism mean to them? To Boko Haram, I'm sure any type of Islam that preaches nonviolence is extremism to them.

This poll is very clear about what it says. It says that most Naija Muslims support violent punishments for violating Sharia laws (like chopping off hands for stealing), and it says that 49% have a positive view of Al Queda and approve of them. Now...what those people consider to be extremism is most definitely not what they already said they believe. No one who supports Al Queda thinks Al Queda is extreme.

Think next time. The 73% of Naija Muslims who are worried about religious extremism might just consider you to be the extreme one. According to the polls, you are already in the minority.

djustice: He demanded and got 50% of the equity in return for the bolded. What the hell was he doing "helping" them with the permits? Is he an architect, town planner or commissioner for physical planning? He tried the same scam on Tayo Amusan of Persianas, owners of The Palms. He decided, vindictive b'stard that he is, to block them off the Lekki-Epe expressway when they rejected his demands.

He also stalled the Lagos Free Trade Zone project with the same sort of demands. Wanted 50% of the whole project for himself, otherwise he would refuse them planning permission. They refused, and he also refused to grant them planning. The result was a 2 and a half year delay on that project, which snowballed to about 5 years.

Bola Tinubu is an evil, grasping, greedy, conniving, avaricious felon, who must be made to return the trillions he has stolen from Lagosians one day.
Stop with the propaganda. The article you posted even said that the reporters HAD NO INFORMATION ABOUT THE DEALS. They just listed prominent projects in Lagos and said Tinubu was responsible for all of them. Your article even says that his businesses collect all of the IGR in Lagos State.... Now don't you feel ashamed?

yeboyes: [b]Story story! The fact that he is an Anambra boy makes me believe he is a Drug Baron.Just go to South Africa and see how Igbos of Anambra extraction are dealing in drugs. The same Anambra boys own almost 40% of the hotels in Hillbrow ( a drug dealing zone). These are where they stash their drugs and conduct their business. These Anambra boys operate like the Chinese Mafia in South Africa. They are into every crime imaginable,Drug Dealing ,Prostitution rings,419 e.t.c you will find Anambra boys there.Just ask any body in South Africa about Mariston Hotel or Mimosa Hotel. The South African Government had to shut down Mimosa hotel because of complaints they received from concerned South Africans. The hotel was inhabited by Anambra boys and a was drug and prostitution haven. They even have documentaries on Youtube where these Anambra boys were openly confessing to dealing drugs on CAMERA!

They have a tight network all over Africa from Nigeria to Kenya all the way to South Africa. It is the same network of boys. There is no smoke without fire ,if they say they found drugs in his house i believe the Kenyan police.I know Nigerians who have been in Kenya for more than 15 years and they have never had any problems with the police. As ususal these Anambra Igbos always bring shame and dishonour to the Nigerian name. All those people being deported are his colleagues in the drug game.

You should see what kenyans are saying about this guy on twitter ,he is a well known drug dealer who loves bragging about his crimes in the club situated in his hotel. These Anambra igbos boys like to pretend like they saints but those of us in Diaspora see what they are doing every day. When they arrest them in South Africa ,they start crying and pretend to be victims even when they are caught red handed with drugs. If this guy was doing a legit business there is no way they could have treated him like this. The reason they are trying to steal his property is because he can not give account of how he got the money to build or buy the hotel. What business was he doing before he bought the hotel? That is the question they must ask him.

He should not come here and try to garner sympathy when he is a bonafide hardened criminal.Go to thailand & Malaysia, the same boys are there getting killed everyday by the locals because they always get into crime. They are not capable of living a honest life ,all they want is to make quick money so they they can get chieftaincy titles in their Village.Useless bunch of morons who are disgracing our country everywhere they go.

Nairalanders should not fall for all this cry baby stories. If any of you come to South Africa and see what Anambra Igbos are doing here, you will instantly tear your Nigerian passport.Their crimes here is just sickening and will bring tears to the eyes of even the strongest man. That is how bad it is.There is a reason why South Africans dislike Nigerians so much,it is because of these guys who have completely decimated any good reputation we had in this country.

These guy never respect their host country, they just do as they like and cause trouble all the time.Almost every months 5 to 8 igbos are shown on SABC News and reported as crimnals who were arrested for drug dealing. It is very depressing to say the least.I do not blame these African countries who now treat Nigerians badly. If we were in their shoes and someone came to Nigeria to misbehave like this ,we will do worse. It is high time Nigerians stop defending crimnals in the name of National pride. We should speak condemn this hardened crimnals who do not show any sign of stopping their criminal activities and who do not care what damage they do to our country's image. It is because of them that we are searched like dogs at Airports all over the world.

Based on my experience in Diaspora ,if you behave and obey the laws of your host country ,the police will never visit you at home or your office. If you are clean no one can intimidate you or bully you in diaspora. However if you are involved in crimes or hangout with bad gangs, you will be visited by the Police on the regular.Show me one law abiding Nigerian in Diaspora who has been mishandled by Diasporan police, show me just one? If you get to a foriegn country ,make sure your papers are in order and never engage in any criminal activity. If you follow those simple rules ,you will be fine. All these people who get into trouble are either in the country illegally or up to no good. That is the bonafide fact.

It’s 11.45am at the Deepwest Resort Club. Anthony Chinedu and Joyce Akinyi, the estranged couple exchange bitter words and a blow is thrown to mark a return to their feuding ways. And this time, the feud is about property.

https://www.nation.co.ke/image/view/-/555426/highRes/71976/-/maxw/600/-/o9d81n/-/Akinyi.jpg

Ms Akinyi, who only two days ago arrived in the country after a spell in an Indian jail, announced her return with a dramatic confrontation with her estranged Nigerian husband, Chinedu.
The scene, reminiscent of the famous love-hate scenes of Nigerian movies so popular in Kenyan, lasted the better part of Tuesday.

The supporting cast of Kenyans followed every unfolding scene from the fence of the club at the centre of ownership tussle between the couple. It was a free movie after all, and not even verbal threats from Akinyi’s male relatives would force wananchi to leave the scene.

Journalists, eager to capture every move, clicked their cameras away, recording every action.

The daylight drama was the climax of a night-long standoff the previous day when Akinyi stormed the club to reclaim it from an investor Mr Chinedu apparently leased it. Things happen while you are away.

A police operation that lasted four hours curtain-raised the main drama. Lang’ata police officer Patrick Mang’oli, said: “We were looking for anything and everything, including drugs.”

The goods — motorcycle tyres and tubes removed from the room and strewn on the parking yard — were clearly not what police were after. Still, they were screened for drugs and turned inside out — in vain.

All the while the protagonists, Akinyi and Chinedu, sat at opposite ends of the club. Chinedu at a tent facing the entrance where Akinyi was. With three male companions, Chinedu seemed unmoved, while Akinyi talked, occasionally, with the police carrying out the search.

Kenya Revenue Authority

Two cars were also towed away from the parking lot, destination Kenya Revenue Authority, for investigation on whether duty was paid. Similarly, the tyres and tubes were loaded into a KRA lorry. “Akinyi will want to use every opportunity to fix me. What have they got?” asked Chinedu, as the police left.

The exit of police heralded another round of drama, with Chinedu saying: “Akinyi should have looked for me. Storming the place was the most unfortunate thing she should have done,” he said.

But Akinyi, who had declined to be interviewed, paced towards Chinedu and proceeded to slap him on the head. Her relatives, however, restrained her

“Share what? I cannot share my property with him. Where is the evidence (of joint ownership)?” fumed Akinyi. She accused Chinedu of illegally leasing out the property which she said was hers.

A composed Chinedu laughed off the verbal tirade. He was unmoved and remained seated as she yelled.

“I’m back and he should know he will not succeed in his schemes. He took advantage of my absence but now I’ll take what’s mine,” declared Akinyi, whose flair for English language was impressive.

The Nigerian at the centre of a deportation court battle said the only solution was sharing property. He vowed never to surrender all his property, saying that even if he were deported, he would still claim part of the wealth.

The rival couple has court cases relating to their various properties and custody of their two children.

After she calmed down, Akinyi talked of her experience in India. She said apart from lack of freedom, she found the prison comfortable. “Indian jails are wonderful. There’s water and food and they are not congested. You get everything,” she said.
His wife has been trying to take his properties for FOUR YEARS. And even had the police looking for drugs and unpaid taxes back in 2009. The best part, this woman just got out of an Indian jail for committing God knows what crime. I feel bad for this man ooo!

This Chinedu guy must be one of the most silly guy in the all world for insulting the hand that fed him for the past 20 years. Chinedu has been involved in drug trafficking and the governments efforts to deport him were long overdue due to abusing the court process. Chinedu was facing a number of criminal cases and was in April arrested in his house with 10 grammes of heroin that he is believed to have either been using or intended to traffic.

The arrest followed an operation carried out in the city centre in which two men including a Nigerian national were nabbed for trafficking heroin.

The men were identified as Nelson Namunyu Mwangi who was found with 268 grams of heroin and Nigerian national Adebiyi Oluwatosin Fatai who had 20 grammes of the drugs.

They were arrested outside a popular club with the narcotics. Police say the two have been behind several incidents of drug trafficking in the city and they were expected in court again on Monday for mention of their case.

Cases of narcotics consumption are on the rise in the city and police are grappling with the situation.
The meeting was allegedly held at Havana restaurant in Nairobi. According to the report, others in attendance included Diana Chebet Koech, a Kenya Airways senior flight attendant and the girlfriend of Kenya based narcotics trafficker Ken Obinna, Anthony Chinedu Ifedigbo aka Tony Wale aka Tony Chinedu who has been involved in a long running custody and property battle with his estranged Kenya wife Joyce Akinyi. "It is not known what was discussed in the meeting," the report says. Others named include "Mary Riziki, the owner of Makini Herbal Clinic that has been involved in Gitau's (Kabogo's) narcotics trafficking activities." Also mentioned is Riziki's son Jackson Makini, popularly known as Prezzo, who is a well-known Kenyan pop singer. It claims the singer has long been involved in Kabogo's narcotic business. "Gitau (Kabogo) served as best man at Jackson's 6th December 2008 wedding, which reportedly was attended by a number of narcotics traffickers who paid an entrance fee of 5,000 Kenyan shillings each," the dossier claims.

lanrexlan: Another lie, peace tv is being located in Dubai since it inauguration,All the broadcasts are done in Dubai, not India.Only some conferences are done in india and the clips are sent to Dubai.....Peace
I understand that you are one of this man's followers, but please try to make sense in your responses.

Zakir is an Indian. Maclatunji asked why the Indian government hasn't taken action against him. Then ChristKid revealed that the Indian government DID take action against him by banning his TV channel.

No one is lying about anything. All I said was that he is NOT located in India, because his channel is BANNED in India. Dubai has nothing to do with it. This is not hard to understand.
