nationwide1: So your brain is so small that you can't make your point valid without insulting GEJ. This is the man that you can never attend his status throughout your life.
It's only people with little knowledge about Nigerian politics that believe there is anything like internal democracy in APC, PDP, or APGA. The events in the build up to the last gubernatorial elections in Benue, Nassarawa, Akwa Ibom and even recently in Kogi States tell it all.
I wonder the kind of future Nigeria has where youths don't reason and come out with a sound judgement today. You're a silly person. Wait, just because you know deep down or someone told you that you can never be as great as GEJ doesn't mean someone else can't. GEJ is not a great man, he's just lucky to have held the number one position and he performed woefully. Errrm well, he is a great thief. Quote me anywhere. |

luche90: Even a thief has the moral right to ask his victim and accuser what he was doing with a suitcase full of dollars at 12am. The moment you choose to discount his testimony because of his moral standing, you lose sight of the fact that the victim was on his way to buy an arsenal of weapons to sell to armed bandits and terrorists. You jail and imprison one criminal and let go a catalyst to many more criminals. Your point is? |
Politics › Re: PDP Lacks Internal Democracy, Says Senator Paulker by Bolade005: 2:43pm On Sep 27, 2015 |
Not only do they lack internal democracy, they also lack moral justification to criticise the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
This is coming directly from the horse's mouth, I hope no wailer will come in here to refute this statement credited to Paulker.
PDP is a party of failures e.g GEJ for the failures. Never again. |

Succinctly, Saraki is a joker and a goner.
Saraki wants to be Nigeria's real Frank Underwood not knowing their is a greater genius in Jagaban. Baba no talk, in just dey look all of una while he was busy cooking up ways to deal with the betrayer.
I have learnt two important lessons from Saraki's betrayal; 1. Never be over-ambitious. It's good to be ambitious but never be over.
2. And when you step on big toes, when you snitch on your own people, be fast in apologising and making things right with them. Listen to them and behave yourself.
Saraki must go. I do not have any modicum of pity for him. |

dearpreye: To a large extent I green with your submission. We are NOT the same, not in values, beliefs or traditions. We have no business being together as a people.
But as it has happened, wisdom and tact can solve the problems. Every state must seek to develop the resources within its borders, as DECIDE what to sef to the centre as against the centre doling out monetary handouts to state for doing NOTHING.
Nations are created when people who share similar values and beliefs willingly come together to form a union designed for the growth and prosperity of its inhabitants. Nigeria doesn't fall in that category. Naah, I wasn't talking about the OP, I only gave a reply to the bolded in the earlier post I commented on not on the topic generally. |

nationwide1: Dividing Nigeria is never the solution to our problem. I wish the leaders can see it with my eyes.
America is larger in size and population than Nigeria, yet they live peacefully. China is larger in size and population than Nigeria, yet they live peacefully.
Our leaders must look for the brain behind agitation for division and put an end to it once and for all. I don't mean by war/victimization. I mean at a round table. For me, what cannot be solved at a table can never be solved through the barrel of the gun.
God bless Nigeria. Our problem in Nigeria is not about our Size or Population, our problem is in our Language. We will never be able to coexist peacefully until we all begin to speak the same language. Take a look at the backlash the president is getting for appointing credible people, instead of people to look beyond ethnicity and take these people as Nigerians, no, they just won't all because their language seems to be different from theirs. |

With 2.5million you can work into Nigerian Breweries plc and tell their manager that you wanna be a wholesale distributor of beera and they will make you a partner instantly. That is a huge business that rakes in profit on a daily business. Beer business is good business. I know cos that's what I'm into. |

agarawu23: such is life, When the man of God can't solve his own problem, and you will see dummies taking their problems to them for solutions. God answered their prayers at the right time but they will think it was the prayer of the man of God.
If a man of God can commit adultery, what else does he wants to preach to his church members?
If the man of God loses his faith, what is he preaching to people then?
Anyway, its only in Nigeria ppl worship men of God instead of the 'main' GOD. You're right but where I disagree with you is the bolded. Men of God are worshipped everywhere not just Nigeria. This is why a south african pastor could tell his followers to swallow snake and they did. An American pastor could convince his gullible followers to come to church stark naked and they did and lot more other examples I can give. It's not just Nigeria. It's sad. |

kemtol: for clarification, it wasn't the Ogun state government that destroy end the structures.
what I'm saying is that the Ogun state marketing board should not extort the more. after d demolition took place, we went to th e board to allocate us space but the the allocation fee was too much.
so we are calling on d state government to intervene i Are you saying they destroyed those structures without authorization from the state govt? |

muyiwah666: It is funny that ur type just believe people on Nairaland only live on Nairaland.. I live in Abeokuta and I work in the same Ministry that demolished the structures that are causing obstructions to the free flow of traffic and pedestrian.. No regrets please because where what you believe your illegal rights ends is where the legal rights of others starts.. We can not continue to break laws just in the name of unemployment.. When you demolished those structures, what alternative structure or arrangement did the govt put in place for the affected people?. You demolish structures without compensations. Which responsible govt does that? You might not be sorry because u not the victim but I can assure u that you will feel the heat the day you're directly involved. |

muyiwah666: You placed your containers at the middle of the road to sell and you expect the Government to let you be?.. Plssss.. Say the truth! It's funny how you can just jump into conclusion without having first hand information of what exactly is happening in the affected area. The government cannot provide job for us, we then find a way to survive and then they just come one day to destroy that source of income with decent compensation. Smh for this country. OP, it is well. I hope those in authority get to read this thread and do something ASAP. |

debolly: Op is correct but some of the sellers too like hiking prices,& when they see their bargaining counterparts they feel cheated upon. When a good's original price is 500#, they'll call it 2000#. I don't waste time I divide whatever the amount is into two. Just like the OP said, these people hike prices to survive not to live extravagant lifestyles. Adding 200 or as little as 50naira to something is not much. I bought a wristwatch for 18k some months ago only to see the same wristwatch on Aliexpress selling for 7k when converted to Naira. Boutiques, supermarkets and all make big money from us and when it's time to enrich these petty traders, na then our bargaining instinct go dey sharp. All is well sha. |
