ooman: The Good Lord With His Evils Sha.hahahahaha, are u saying that the GOOD lord is EVIL? Are u saying that the GOOD lords sends forth EVIL spirits to do his dirty biddings? |
Uncanny Genius: Nigeria is doomed. It's only fools that will vote for the grand sponsors of the terrorist group during the coming 2015 election. It's better that Nigeria breaks up than a useless Northerner becomes the President by 2015 because they have nothing to offer but to milk the country dry just like Buhari, Babangida, Abacha and the rest of the animals did.well I disagree with u, if a northerner will be the one that will move this country forward, then I would gladly vote for him, let's put tribal/ethnic sentiments aside, it will take us nowhere. |
FOLYKAZE: Im Atheist. The only point you people missed is that what you call supernaturals are natural wonders to me.kk boss. |
egift: OP:well since it seems the orthodox way of solving our corruption problems is not working, then I think we should think of a more unorthodox way. |
mikolo80: NOPE,JUST A REALIST.I'M NOT READY TO LAY IT ALL ON THE LINE FOR NIGERIA AND NEITHER ARE YOU.DIFFERENCE IS I DONT PRETEND TO BE MORE CATHOLIC THAN THE POPElol, |
ijawkid: But folykaze na atheist abi??.....I no sure bros, atheist no suppose believe in anything supernatural, but agnostic fit believe. |
Lincoln burrows: I thought that okija-juju and pagan4life were atheists. I didn't see their input in this thread. Anyway I don't have anything to prove to the likes of purists and mazaje.. I know what the Bible says about atheists. It amazes me that they think they are smarter than the likes of bill gates who believe in God.who told u biLl gates is smart? |
mikolo80: WHY YOU NO FIT GO LEARN WORK FROM THEM COME FORM CORRUPT HARAM GROUP.COWARD WAITING FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO DO UR DIRTY WORK.BELL THE CAT OR STFUsmh, ignorant mukunu being |
FOLYKAZE: Im fully prepared for that. I got my bullet proof skin dude with me here. Just make sure you stand firm to your own words.I wish u guys luck. |
Lol, nairalanders, una no go kee person, na really grandmama tins, lol. |
Bump |
ooman: sections like romance, sexuality contain hot chicks that will make you wanna masturb...... ...lol, u know say na story u dey find, u fit leave religion section? I pray ooOOoooooo. Lol |
Take out the holocaust, "battling with Africa slavery mentality" |
malele: you have a point, but thats if boko haram will reason that waythat's the problem my mann, |
tspun: even if boko haram happens to be the once check mating d govt there will still be corruption. They will still tell d govt to pay specific amount so dat day will cover up for them. Our leaders are corrupt so are d masses.luk back to wen efcc started we thought it will bring down all the bad leaders but wat is happenin today, the govt are buyin their way. Wat we need is prayin, God should send a mesaih to come and rescue naija from these bondage.my broda, if the boko haram can do this with a religious conviction, they won't budge for any corrupt official, the only problem is that they might become too powerful, it's not about prayers, if na prayer na Nigeria na pray pass for the whole world, Nigerians need to fear corruption. |
God is the answer to Our problems in this country, and I know God will deliver us. |
musKeeto: Oga Franky, I see you...yes I have, and they are pretty impressive, |
dare2think: If I lie, tell me say I lie now.lol, well juju existing is not really a fact though. I believe it exists though, but I take that "fact" back, |
dare2think: Of course it is everyone's right to believe what they want to believe, but the premise of this debate is summed up in your statement in the above.lol, I knew someone was gon pick up on the "fact", lol, and it so happened to be you. |
mazaje: ^^it seems you're very serious about this thing. |
Hmmmmm, I've read lots of arguments here, some, very enlightening, others not so enlightening, to my freethinking brethren, u guys shouldn't bother about testing any of these "juju", cos no mata what u see, u'll always look for a rational understanding for it, so it would be a waste of your time and money to try to prove something that is actually inconsequential after all is said and done, cos how does someone's body stopping bullets from penetrating it affect my life? It doesn't, so we should just allow people to believe whatever they want, as long as their belief doesn't endanger the life of another human, it's their fundamental human right, one thing I know for certain, is that the supernatural exists, but I try not to make something big out of it, I just do my thing and live my life, and I hope that one day my frEethinking brethren would come to acknowledge that fact, believing in the supernatural is not a weakness or a sign of gullibility, so |
5columnist: You are empty.. no debate. Too shalow in spiritual affairs to earn any attention. "egg in a bottle"mr know it all, what if I told u the eggs I saw in the. Glass bottle were not hard boiled eggs but raw eggs, and they were broken after sometime to prove that they were raw eggs? |
jayriginal: Seeing means you "saw". It does not necessarily mean its real. Think about this.what would you see to make u believe in the supernatural? Being a freethinker doesn't necessarily mean u have to disregard the possibility of supernatural occurrences. |
Muskeeto, mazaje, purist, dare2think, and all my freethinking brethren, u guys have all given me convincing arguments to buttress your point that there are indeed no supernatural occurrences, u've disproved, my theories on cris angel, eGg in the bottle, crucifix in the bottle and most of my arguments. BUT. Let me give u d last remaining argument I have, TB joshua, I'm not gullible or credulous, but the guy seems to possess some form of supernatural power, or am I wrong? |
Kay 17: I noticed the part you said the Universe's size makes it "seem" supernatural. Now you are clearer, but can be clearer. I wld assume what you meant by natural is physics, since we humans are not omniscient, we don't have the full grasp of physics, we are still learning everyday. Could we say supernatural means what's beyond all physics including knwledge we don't yet know? Note that it will be more difficult in pinpointing the Supernatural especially when we are not omniscient.well not all things that are beyond physics, can be attributed to being metaphysical, but simply put, I would say the supernatural could be a branch of science that has not been fully explored, hence it's said to be beyond the physical. and I hope that soonest in our academic institutions there would arise a need to create the "department of supernatural studies" where people like ijawkid can go and study sorcery and wizardry!!! |
musKeeto: up bolaino and folalol, muskeeto u dey laff me shebi, lol |
Well, after all is said and done it still boils down to the concept of "seeing is believing" to u guys, (as should every rational human) superstition thrives on belief, and believing in it is you giving yourself to it, But we are grateful to science, science has been able to explain to us in detail things that our ancestors never thought could be understood, and I hope that in the nearest future most of the things we thought were mysteries would be unraveled. |
dare2think:lol, u got me laffing wit the linda ikeji blog, you're very right, it seems what most nigerians seem to focus on more now is gossip and irrelevant stuffs. I'm really enjoying this thread, it's insightful and eye opening, I wish nigerians could try to be more logical in their thoughts and actions, |
Kay 17: Is the Big Ban.g supernatural?well, supernatural can be said to be something that is beyond natural, something that goes against physics, metaphysical or supernatural both hold same meaning, The big bang, is just a theory and it's not a fact but if it really is true then it's not supernatural, like wise the power of the atom, I hope the higgs boson theory is proven to be accurate soonest though, cos it would shut the church folks up for good, I agree wit u that the universe is massive and and infinitesimal, and that. Makes it seem more supernatural, there are things that science can not be able to explain, like I personally believe in Extraterrestrial existence, we can't be the only ones living on this gigantic universe, |
musKeeto: So what exactly are you scared of? Why should these African gods kill their own people and not the slaveowners? Wouldn't it be better as a 'freethinker' to cast away fear and try to understand or grasp the basics of whatever tradition your people practice? Would their own 'gods' want them extinct?what I have learnt so far on my journey to self enlightenment is that things are not always what they seem, muskeeto as an agnostic u should know that by now, When you were a child studying CRS in secondary skul, if u were told that a time would come in your life where u would be writing articles, and calling the biblical God all sorts of names, u would'nt believe, but now u know beta, life is not black and white, life is full of mysteries that we can never fully comprehend, take the pyramids at giza for example, there has been no concrete scientific explanation for how they were built, and so many other mysteries, where these people given divine architectural knowledge? That's something we will probably never find out, science holds answers to many things but not all things, |
mazaje1: I will use my own gun so that you don't give me a bad gun that will jam . . .Stop talking and accept the test already . . .Logicboy will be there and at lest 2 other atheist that agree to witness it. . .I will sponsor their flight and hotel accomodation for 3 days. I am NOT kidding. . .Just get your people ready and take the challenge already . . .well, I understand your stance in aLl this, you live abroad, you stay among people who hold little or no superstitious belief(s) and to you superstition is absurd and unintelligent, I get, But while a part of me yearns to agree entirely with what you're saying, the other part of me that has witnessed bizarre supernatural occurrences chose to disagree, I have seen things I can not put down in words, I have seen people make predictions that come to pass, I have seen over five crusifixes in a glass bottle, (how the hell they got inside, I have no friggin idea) and lots of other crazy stuff, Was I hallucinating when I saw these things, I was'nt, (cos I don't do drugs or take alcohol) I have done spiritual exercises like astral projection, where I saw things that were very real, although it seemed asif I was in a lucid state, but I saw things, I'm no religionist, and I'm open to sound and logical reasoning, I don't believe in the vengeful, blood thirsty evil spirit/god of the jews, but I believe that there are malevolent forces that chose to put people in misery, I did not arrive at these conclusions from heresay, I witnessed many metaphysical happenings, and even as the freethinker in me yearns to believe that the shadows in the dark are not worth chasing, the ISOKO man in me tells me to be cautious of my people in the village. |
ezme: Ijawkid stop threatening people with warri.original, I greet u, u be confam wafarian, I dey follow ur government bros. |
