musKeeto: Bro, he's already told you he's willing to meet you to test your 'story'.. The way you Xtians quicky dump burden of proof on the unbeliever's amazing..lol, I've heard the same story before, lol, funny innit? |
After all is said and done my belief in the supernatural is still strong. |
Purist: Here, we have a "freethinker" who strongly believes that Criss Angel has supernatural powers. Even when shown videos explaining the tricks, he insists - in the face of contrary evidence - that some of the more incredible stuff are actually supernatural. Is there any wonder then why this same "freethinker" is convinced that bullet-proof jazz is real, and that whoever dismisses it as the nonsense that it is, is "dogmatic"?well, I stand corrected about criss angel, he is just an illusionist, |
mhm: found this really funny. Nice.pls make sure u apply these rules they'll surely help u get promoted. |
ijawkid: So you be warri boy na him u dey dull for here.......me I be confam warri boy, warri boy from the streets of obgorikoko, we don see tins. |
U guys are making me laff, una just dey make mouth here, but after all is said and done, I still believe in the supernatural and none of you has been able to prove the contrary. |
Lol, abeg u guys should take it easy ooo, it has'nt gotten to the extent of shooting each other ooo, |
Lol, abeg ooo, I have sEen the power of egbesu first hand during the 2003 crisis in warri, around an area called idumusobo, mann, these niggas were taking bullets mann, |
mazaje: I am a trained marksman and I can shoot quite well, if the target is stationary. . .I want Ijaw kind to prsent himself with all the best juju he can you and I will shot him, if he does NOT fall then , he will shot me and end my life. . .They people are just crazy. . .Bullet proof juju exist yet the USA is spending billions on body armor technology. . .Bullet proof juju exist, yet the white people were still able to conquer us with their ancient guns. . .If bullet proof juju exist the white man would have been speaking Yoruba abd igbo now. . .lol, see mazaje dey form trained marks man, lol, |
ezme: Do you know how much the US spends on teflon vest for its marines every year? Contact your Egbesu priests, I will draft the proposal. We will contact the US government and make real money,We go rich pass Tompolo. If the US no ready we can go to war torn zones where there is a ready market.lol, u funny bros, another fact that is going to support your argument is the colonization of africa by the europeans, then the belief in "juju" was on another level then, with africans sacrificing their fellow people to malevolent spirits who were said to be Gods of war, even with these beliefs, the british fought and defeated the binis, and so many other tribes and ethnic groups, But it gives credence to my earlier argument that these set of beliefs thrive on the beliefe system of the people engaged in them. |
ooman: I understand you want to be creative but if you do not have evidence for your claims, then you have no arguments.well I'm still researching on these energies that I claim to exist, and when I have ample proof of their existence, I'll gladly share them wit u. |
ezme: have you seen that by the masked magician?masked magician? I'm sorry I don't understand |
ooman: Ok, Bolaino, indeed there are things that seem to be out of natural explanation but these things only seem to be, they are really not. There is nothing supernatural in nature, everything has natural explanations.lol, you remind me of the famous british atheist richard dawkins, u sound like him, but u guys are somewhat dogmatic in your assertion that there is nothing supernatural about this world, and that's where I think u guys have it wrong, I don't believe in a God, but I believe that there is vortex of energy that surrounds this universe and it can be finetuned by a group of beings, to do a specific thing at a specific time, and this energy can be used for good or for evil, who knows, it could be a branch of science that we've not been able to explain or have knowledge of, but till we have proper grasp of this form of science, I will refer to it as the metaphysical. |
musKeeto: And the audience that film, how many of those 'independent' videos have you seen... Check youtube.. It's all for entertainment..well the beauty of science is that there is no dogma in science, and also as freethinkers we have the ability to acknowledge our mistakes upon light of new information, well, like u pointed out criss angels tricks are all about entertainment, and by the end of the day he gets us entertained, But it still doesn't change the fact that there are things that science can never be able to explain, and that makes them supernatural. |
ezme: if only you would stop using your phone and get on a laptop, you would be able to stream from youtube the trick behind the act like muskeeto suggested.well I have watched the youtube videos where he explains how he does his levitation, but I have also watched videos where he levitates to heights of over 20 ft, so the explanation he gave does not explain those occasions, and If I might ask if you're criss angel, and u can really levitate and you're using it to make money, would u expose your secret to the world? What I think is the explanation being given by criss angel is to try to make what he does look logical so that people like us freethinkers won't start asking questions that he would'nt want to answer, that's my two cents, |
ezme: I think the tag freethinker would be better as I have not ruled out totally the existence of a supreme being. I just don't trust the bible stories anymore.but from your posts so far, you are veering towards atheism but I stand corrected, BUT if you believe, even slightly, the possible existence of a supreme being, then that on it's own is an acknowledgment of your belief in the supernatural. |
musKeeto: Thanks.lol, muskeeto, u are a "know know" pikin, I don't believe WWE fights are real, but I believe that criss angel does actual magic, yeah, I've seen him explain some of his tricks, but the ones he does that stand out there is no explanation for them cos he does them in the open example of such is his walking on a swiMming pool, that was something beyond the physical, if u doubt me, learn it and try doing it and see if u won't drown, and he actually levitates, watch some of his levitations and see for yourself, cos he does'nt do magic in restricted areas, he does them in open places and spectators are allowed to film while he is doing most of his feats |
mazaje: Most of the things people claim are supernatural events, are just natural events that can not be explained. . .Example we have magicains that use tricks to deceieve that they have supernatural abilities, but when they explain their tricks you discover that it is just some esoteric natural knowledge they used. . .yeah talking about magic, there's an american magician by the name of criss angel, he walks on water and he levitates, and believe u me, it's no trick, u need to watch it for urself and believe, so what do u have to say about something like that? |
musKeeto: This is embarassing..lol, I just can't stop laughing, muskeeto hav kee meee, lol, I made a mistake by including regynius, my bad, the name just came to me, while I was typing, Indeed you're right superstition thrives where there is ignorance I very well agree, and another thing I know is the belief system of a group of people matters a lot, and most of these mystical occurrences happen where these people share a close affinity to. Belief system that gives credence to metaphysical happenings, but there is enough evidence to support their claims in these happenings, hence their belief in them, Unlike people living in countries like switzerland where religion is minimal, the possibilities of metaphysical happenings there is rare, because the belief system of the people there does not suPport supernatural occurrences, my point is these forces who control the metaphysical world rely on belief, If you believe then it'll happen, and for those who believe they've seen things happen, And your experiment about the egg in a bottle, forgive my ignorance, as no man can claim absolute knowledge of everything, but I would like u to perform the experiment and show me results, and also u did'nt give an explanation to the crucifix in the glass bottle, Pls quote me where I said science is beyond human comprehension, it's even absurd for u to have mentioned that, science was created by humans so how can it be beyond our comprehension? I only said there are things that science can not give GOOD EXPLANATIONS for, And I don't facebook or watch porn, lol, muskeeto u dey show urself shebi? |
On my journey to self enlightenment, I have had lots of experiences both good and bad, before I became an agnostic I practiced lots of religions that deal with occult mysticism, and I gathered a knowledge or two about the supernatural, So my stance on the issue of supernatural occurrences is that of the affirmative, I believe in supernatural occurrences. As I have experienced them first hand. What made me create this topic is the growing trend of atheists who go about with the assertion that there are no metaphysical happenings, that everything can be explained and that the things that can not be explained now, are probably things that science has not fully comprehended and will soon demystify in the nearest future, I could understand this stance coming from an atheist who lives in the western world, but I will not take it from an atheist who was born and bred up here in Africa, Nigeria especially, My reasons being we as africans have one way or the other seen first hand or heard (from eye witness accounts) numerous tales of things beyond human comprehension, from either seeing unbroken eggs in glass bottles to seeing lots of crucifixes in glass bottles, how where these things made to happen? It's beyond human comprehension, and like so many other numerous tales of supernatural experiences heard from friends and family, So it baffles me when I see atheists like Ooman, muskeeto, regynius, logicboy, ezme, Rossikk, and the rest of the bandwagon, try to give rational explanation for issues beyond their comprehension, I'm not saying that we should continue to chase shadows like ezme would say, no, but we should give an open mind to issues that try to enlighten us on the occurrence of metaphysical happenings, Thank God for science, now we are able to explain many of the things our ancestors regarded as supernatural, now we know that these were just natural occurrences Caused by mother nature, but the truth still remains that there are things even the almighty science will never be able to give good explanations for. So my fellow freethinkers, be objective in your discussions about the supernatural. But I would like to hear your opinions on this issue as well. |
WeLl, my candid advice to u is to first check your house very well, I think there's an opening in your room where the bats are passing through, and as bats are nocturnal creatures u probably won't see them in the day cos they'll be resting, so try doing a thorough inspection of your house for hidden crevices and holes that could be housing these bats, and it won't kill u to be cautious of the people from your village, belike say dem don start to dey reason ur mata, |

10 Office Rules: 10. Never walk without a document -- People with documents look like hardworking employees headed to important meetings. People with nothing in their hands look like they're headed for the cafeteria. People with a newspaper in their hand look like they're headed for the toilet. Above all, make sure you carry loads of stuff home with you at night, thus generating the false impression that you work longer hours than you really do. 9. Use computers to look busy -- Any time you use a computer, it looks like "work" to the casual observer. You can send and receive personal e-mail, chat and have a blast without doing anything remotely related to work. These aren't exactly the societal benefits that the proponents of the computer revolution would like to talk about, but they're not bad either. When you get caught by your boss -- and you will get caught -- your best defense is to claim you're teaching yourself to use new software, thus saving valuable training dollars. 8. Messy desk -- only top management can get away with a clean desk. For the rest of us, it looks like we're not working hard enough. Build huge piles of documents around your workspace. To the observer, last year's work looks the same as today's work; it's volume that counts. Pile them high and wide. If you know somebody is coming to your cubicle, bury the document you'll need halfway down in an existing stack and rummage for it when he/she arrives. 7. Voice mail -- Never answer your phone if you have voice mail. People don't call you just because they want to give you something for nothing -- they call because they want YOU to do work for THEM. That's no way to live. Screen all your calls through voice mail. If somebody leaves a message for you and it sounds like impending work, respond during lunch hour when you know they're not there -- it looks like you're hardworking and conscientious even though you're being a devious weasel. 6. Look impatient and annoyed -- According to George Costanza, one should also always try to look impatient and annoyed to give off the impression that you're always busy. 5. Leave the office late -- Always leave the office late, especially when the boss is still around. You could read magazines and storybooks that you always wanted to read. Make sure you walk past the boss' room on your way out. Send important e-mails at unearthly hours (i.e. 9:35pm, 7:05am, etc.) and during public holidays. 4. Creative sighing for effect -- Sigh loudly when there are many people around, giving the impression that you are under extreme pressure. 3. Stacking strategy -- It is not enough to pile lots of documents on the table. Put lots of books on the floor, etc. (thick computer manuals are the best). 2. Build vocabulary -- Read up on some computer magazines and pick out all the jargon and new products. Use the phrases freely when in conversation with bosses. Remember, they don't have to understand what you say, but you sure sound impressive. 1. MOST IMPORTANT -- make una no let una oga see this thing by mistake ooo. |
Well thanks guys for ur honest concern, I appreciate from the depths of my heart, I really do, BUT, right now I've given myself fully to the powers of the underworld, and it's been great so far, thanks guys. |
Mintayo: i would rather believe something and end up well, than believe nothing and REGRET IT LATER.many christians think that atheists/agnostics are a set of people with no beliefs, that's wrong, personally I believe in humanity, I believe in love, justice, equality, happiness, entertainment, and I strive to accomplish these thing in my life and in the life of loved ones and even people in the society at large, I hope u know that in christianity alone there are over 45, thousand denominations, each claiming to have a better understanding of the bible and a more personal relationship with God, and there are thousands of religions in this world today, have u thought of the possibility of believing in the wrong god? What if instead of jehova, allah is the one true God, or even budha or shiva is the only true God, Wouldn't u have made the wrong decision, would'nt it rather be beta for me to bank on NO GOD than bank on the WRONG GOD, given the numerous Gods we have, |
