Congrats... There's a DHL office on Joel Ogunnaike in GRA, Ikeja... Just next to UBA. You need N19,600 (try go with cash). There's another office on Allen Avenue, but you may have to google the address.

The instructions of steps to take are in your letter:

2 passport photos (One stamped with addresses and name of photo studio)
PPR Letter
IMM008 form (If family config changed)
Height, eye color, etc form filled.

Hope this helps.

kissoflife:
Hello everyone. Please I need your input on the following:

I just received a PPR (passport request) from IRCC but i'm a little confused as to how i will go about sending my passport out and paying for the service fee. Could someone please walk me through what i need to do and include to send my passport out. i dont want to make a mistake.. I plan to use DHL.

So here are my questions:

1. Where is the location of DHL at Ikeja

2. Procedure for submitting passport and other documents

Not sure but I guess you can state the reason if you remember vaguely. Or you simply stat you can't remember the details.

Dave4eva:
Thank you. Mine was a USA denial while I was in the UK. (Though I later got it when I came back to Naija). They didn't stamp on my passport then. I thought I was giving a note stating the reasons. Can't recall its content again or where it might even be. If this information will be relevant for the application, could anyone please advice on what to do about this. Please guys. Thank you all.

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by boldinc(m): 6:04pm On Dec 18, 2017
I only put down the reference numbers on the denial stamps on my passport... noting more.

Dave4eva:
@boldinc, please as the accompanying spouse, what evidence / reason did you have to show or upload on previous VISA denials during your application? Thank you.

PPR came through yesterday guys...

EE Profile – September 2, 2016
CRS - 468
1st ITA – January 11
Withdrawn – April 11
2nd ITA – April 13
AOR – July 11
Med Passed – July 24
IP1 – July 24
NA2 – July 24
We do not need additional documents – Sep 8
IP2 – December 6
ADR – December 7 (Consent form from daughter’s mum)
ADR Submitted – December 8
PPR – December 14

My application was straight forward... Wife was PA, Wrote IELTS just once... spouse too, did another naija PCC (only PCC required) when submitting for 2nd ITA, POF was just a simple letter from co-operative society from my wife's company, I didn't need to do ECA. I added my daughter from another woman and I got an ADR for a consent letter which her mum did willingly without issues.

Everyone that got ITA alongside myself and even after have all gotten PPR and some have even landed... @vcole, @SlowelybtSurely @40malappy and so on...

The race is not for the Swift... Keep your goal in mind and do all it takes to achieve it. Cross all the Hurdles (Poor IELTS results, ECA delays, Rejections, etc) with your head up and chest out. Aim for the finish line... Stay Prayerful!

I wish everyone all the best! ... I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have.

All the best!

Thank you Optionese. My people. I’m begging o, Please, Abeg, Biko, Mbok, Don Allah, Edakun, make una no do jump and pass on my questions. I’m asking for a friend who’s just starting out, he’s self-employed and most likely to get married to a lady who has a young child. I believe proper preparation plays a part especially for an applicant caught in this web. Here are the questions again.
1.) For an applicant who’s adding spouse after AOR, what are the likely ADRs to expect apart from POF, PCC & Medicals for spouse, Pictures of wedding/honeymoon, chats/email exchange? You mentioned it all... That's about all they should need. CIC will let you know if any other is required.

2.) The significant other has a child, asides consent letter from the child’s father, any other legal document to support addition of the chap? Search for the IMM5604 form on CIC website, fill it and get it notarised at a NOTARY PUBLIC. Also attach a valid ID of the un-accompanying father.

3.) PA is self-employed, what documents are needed to prove work experience? I know recommendation letter from clients, CAC registration, income evidence, tax clearance, reference letters from clients, bank statement showing payments from clients, contract agreements. Please any other document to be added? You said it all...

Individualized answers will be appreciated, those who added spouse post AOR can help with #1, single parent applicants can help with #2, while our entrepreneurial applicants can tidy #3. Ojogbons, elders and gurus/gurus in the making can attempt any or all questions. Please no jump and pass biko.

Very well said Vcole...

vcole:

Not true for everyone. My spouse and I were in the "doing well" group back home. Migrating to Canada was not triggered by a need for better financial prosperity but for other reasons. There is more to living in a country than the Jobs or funds you make. I have kids, growing up in this present day Nigeria for them is a risk in my opinion. Violence is allowed to thrive, the values being perpetrated right now back home are not exactly great. Then let's talk about the "over religiosity" and yet lack of love and kindness that is rampant back home. For us, it was mostly to be able to live in a place where our kids would grow up and not feel comfortable walking past someone who fell on the road and needs a helping hand to lift them up. Yes, they could have been taught that everywhere but it is harder to do that in present day Nigeria. Even our generation grew up in a better naija than this. Also, let's talk about education........Nigeria is still waaaaayyyyyy backwards as regards advancing educational opportunities that are relevant in the future. I have an interest in Academia and that would practically die if I remained back home. Let's talk about health care which happens to be my field. Yes, I could be in Nigeria and make a ton of money but my career would be pretty much dead in the water having more patients who die than those who live. No matter how hard I tried within 7yrs of practice back home I could never develop the selective amnesia needed to practice in Nigeria. Then let's talk about gender issues. I have a son and a daughter. I refuse to raise my son in a society that makes him regard women less than they should. Yes, he could be raised sane in Naija but it'll require more effort and I'll much rather put in that effort and let the society I live in help strengthen it. My daughter........Canada is currently the best country in the world to live as a woman and I'll much rather live here and have my daughter raised here than in Nigeria.
People migrate for so many other reasons and not always because they are not "doing well"
No matter how much doing well you are doing back home you'll still have and maintain a generator, provide your own water, drive on pothole ridden roads, provide your own security, keep yourself and family indoors during elections, run away to another country for medical care if you are diagnosed with cancer, pray that you are not involved in a ghastly accident on the expressway or even within the city because emergency care services may never get to you in time and no matter how much "doing well" you are doing your life expectancy will remain in the 50s and the list is endless and personally I don't believe in "praying for every damn thing" . But these kind of issues don't bother everyone.

No it's not... Your CRS is locked once ITA comes through.

Obi1conte:

What if ITA comes just before ones birthday is this an issue?i.e ITA comes say few days before birthday.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by boldinc(m): 6:25am On Dec 07, 2017
If you had waited a while longer, it would change still, automatically... There is really nothing to update... Your birthday never changes.

dtaminator:

Birthday was April 4th, ITA was April 19th. Once you submit your profile to the pool, nothing will change automatically. It's your duty to ensure that info is up to date. If something changes, you have to update and resubmit. Prior to this, I had also expected the deduction to be automated, so I was a bit surprised when I got that ITA.

It's actually 2 out of 5 years to retain your PR status and 3 out of 5 to qualify for citizenship...

dogood123456:

Thanks. How can I ignore it? You will notice that I plan to do short landing from the my last sentence. This is in par with your advice here and it makes me feel I'm going in the right direction.

My concerns raised above are mostly related to when I eventually go back to Canada to settle with my family say after 1.5 yrs. Remember I must be in for 3 out of 5 yrs to keep my PR status.

i have edited a line in my initial post that says the opposite of what I wanted to say. Pardon me dupyshoo and erhnie in case you've read the first version.

You don’t have to be related.

Sorry. Don’t have an answer to your 2nd question.

Not very recent, but doubt the process would have changed. It’s pretty straight forward.

Took my wife there for hers last year and got all sorted within a day. You would be requested to pay your pending alumni fees for the past years since you’ve graduated (think about 2k per year or thereabouts). Also fedex fee. Can’t remember, but in total, you shouldn’t spend more than 20k and you’ll get a tracking number as well.

Adekoolz:
Good morning good people.

Please is there anyone that has recently done WES evaluation from Babcock University?

Thanks for your prompt response.

If you can afford it, I'll advise you do a short landing... Considering your Medicals would expire soon.

Santino1:

Thanks madam vcole,

I just got off the phone with the serviceontario people and she told me pretty much what you outlined above. I can only exchange a 2+ years licence (with eye test). Under 2 year, they'll exchange it for a G2 licence and upon successful completion of a G2 test I get a full licence. Sucks to be me right now.

How long ago? They usually ban people for 5 years...

Listrab110:

Yes, I can imagine! The application was a few years ago, I'm sure the file is closed already. Many thanks for your time!
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by boldinc(m): 3:45pm On Nov 22, 2017
I guess you can give it a shot then... You will have room in your application to explain yourself adequately.

All the best!

Listrab110:

Oh yes, I sure can't avoid declaring the refusals and the reason for the denials. Thanks a lot for your time!
