You do not need to do an ECA for your spouse. Fill all her education and work details in personal history and choose 'No' when asked if she has any work experience or education.

nastyesco:
Hello House, need to ask a q? I recently got an ITA however, I didn't do a ECA for my spouse, no points was claimed for it on CRS tho. But ofcourse filled it in while filling my profile. My concern is due to time constraint its too late to start her ECA, can I upload her degree and state a case in LOE, since we didn't claim point with it. Has anyone been in a similar situation, kindly advise.

The general doctor asks about genotype and other details... Remember, they take your blood sample. They could use that for all possible tests. It's not advisable to lie about it.

esosa4real:

They don't even ask about genotype!!
My only concern is if she gets to Canada and seeks medical care, hope no issues?

Editing the figure would be a good idea... As long as it is still higher than the threshold.

toyogirl:
Somebody pls help me ooo....I've been the one guiding these guys on their app for a while now and I can't back out now oo. ..they're actually trying to get a little extra funds to make up the difference OANDA is giving, so that they can submit during the week....but as we all know how 'easy' it is to get money, I was wondering if it's okay for them to just edit the amount in their EE profile and bring it lower to say $23,800 CAD or something?

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 7:19am On Jul 03, 2017
PR card / Canadian passport is a requirement. There is a special field for that to prove status in Canada.

Boss13:

Please don't edit your EE profile. Fortunately, you did not claim point for this sibling. I hope he resides legally in Canada. If he does, I don't understand why he changed his mind. He doesn't need to upload his PR card. His utility bill plus proof of relationship to your husband is sufficient. Another reason why you should not edit it, is because during background checks, they may find out that you have a relative in canada and you did not declare as such, this would result to suspicion. Proceed with your application and if he still refuses, indicate in your LOE, that he initially agreed, but later changed his mind.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 7:16am On Jul 03, 2017
Simply change the part that asks if you have a sibling in Canada to 'No"

You might not have take out his details from your application, since you need to list out all siblings/Family.

You won't have any issues at all since you didn't get any points for it anyway.

winter:
pls people i need advise.

So my husband has a step sibling in Canada, we didnt get points for it though when we got our ITA.
After claiming relative in Canada and step sibling agreed to send us docs to prove relationship.

Time to upload doc, step sibling changed his mind about sending us docs. That they are sensitive and he can't just send them to us anymore :O

Please what do we do? How do we address this issue? We have a few days left to submission.
I am the PA

Thanks for your urgent response

There won't be any issues with that. As long as you can get a reference letter to back up your previous employment claim.

Jumdah20:
Greetings all,

I am getting the vibes that self employment is not welcome in Canada?

I run my own baby products and kids clothing store
I am registered as an enterprise, I have a brick and mortar store and an e commerce website.

I pay my taxes.

I have a separate business bank account.

I also have 6 yrs working experience as an accountant previously.

I just received NOI from Ontario, is it possible that any issues be raised as per current employment status, me running my company?

please elders, help me touchlight this matter.

Sad to hear this optionese... You alone know best the reason why. I can only pray God resolves the situation, which I believe is more important than the Canadian PR.

Canada would always be there. I hope it all gets resolved soon.

God bless.

optionese:
Plenty good news on the thread. Congratulations.
I have a bit of sad news. So my Canada application is put on hold at the moment due to family issues beyond my control. That's the much I can share. So I won't be submitting my PPR profile.

Don't know when I will resume or resubmit my profile. I will also take a break from answering questions. Am sure there are sufficient people to answer.

I really wish everyone a successful application.

There is nothing wrong with being unemployed at the moment... Falsifying salary payments is misinterpretation. All CIC requires is 3 years working experience within the last 10 years. It doesn't have to be a current job.

Just get reference letters in both cases for the most recent work experience.

percee17:
Hello Peeps,

Please assist my friends. Their situations are as follows:

FRIEND 1 - Got ITA 2 days ago. He is the PA and has 15years job experience which he can get reference for but has been unemployed for about 3 years. He actually runs his own business but he doesnt want to use that but wants to use a friend's company that is structured. However, no evidence of salary (e.g salary account bank statement) will be in his application. I advised its better to say he is unemployed but he believes he can start salary payments to an account now, post ITA. Wont that be suspicious? Please advise.

FRIEND 2 - Runs her own business and intends to be PA since she is younger and CRS score is higher. She is still in the process of WES and ECA but intends to start paying herself salary from her brother's firm so she can claim she works there rather than claim that she is unemployed. She has the required length of work experience as well.

In summary, is it a problem to claim unemployment when submitting e-APR? Kindly advise please.

You did not understand her post...

She meant her question (the one she asked you... Pls read it again) is what is off topic. Not anything you wrote.

To answer that tho... If you deliver after landing in Canada, your child gets a Canadian passport immediately. If it happens before, You will need to notify CIC.

Please give way for people to answer my question..don't come here and tell me it is off the topic..because I do not just understand everything you wrote here.

1. Get a new certificate to be on the safe side if it's 3 months after you got it. Did same cos I had to reject ITA the first time.
2. What you have should still be valid for use.
3. No need for new reference letter. You can go ahead with what you have.

All the best!

Please i would like to ask some questions,as am sure many frequent readers are aware of my predicament... @40manlappy @vcole @Boss13 @dupsychoo @boldinc and the rest of the amazing gurus.. My question goes thus..
1) am i to get a new police certificate as its only valid for 2 or 3months.
2) should i apply for a new reference letter from my bank or the one i used previously is still valid and do i need to submit another statement
3) should i apply for a new work reference for hubby and i,or the ones i used is still valid.

You can evaluate your MBA alone... It's all you need and would be quicker. No need for WAEC nor BSC. Yes... WES evaluates MBA.

Don4J:
Hello everyone, please I need help. I am applying for ECA but I don't know if I should include WAEC since I have BSC and MBA. Also, is MBA evaluated by WES?

I will advise that you go to their office if you can make out time... They hardly reply emails promptly and their phones are practically never answered.

Thank you. I did an online transfer and attached the screenshot of debit notice to the mail I sent. I just don't want my slot cancelled and given a further date. Will relax as advised. Thanks.

Hi guys... Well done everyone.

Quick question please, I would like to know if applying as a family, my wife and I would need to create separate accounts and also pay separately. Our son doesn't need a visa (American citizen).

Also, do we get to go for the submission together.

Thanks.

Good day house,

I want to find out if i can include my younger brother in my application. He is 17 years old, but our parents are late and i have letters from the court showing that i am his guardian. I can file adoption letters with the court to verify my status as his guardian

You should be able to get '2 degrees or more' with both degrees that you have. That would fetch you more points.

In your bid not to sound arrogant, you actually do and have been from the time I spotted your posts on this thread...

Your opinion is understood and noted... You do not need to force it down people.

I can see you have a good definition of what a Rule is, but it is clearly 'stated' on the website of the organization issuing he visas that the POF should be in the PA's name (very clearly written). If doing otherwise worked for you or someone you know, congrats. But do not try to make people do other than what has been clearly stated.

The problem we have, I believe, is that we do not want to read... We would rather heed other people's advice or opinion when the real info you need stares at you in the face.

As per POF, whatever tickles anyone's fancy should be done... And pls share your experiences so that everyone can learn.

All the best!

Boss13:

I don't want to sound arrogant, but the reason I've been too pushy about this is the continuous insistence of the Principal Applicant having POF ONLY in their account and I have read conflicting and confusion argument over this and I want people to see the flexibility and not be restricted with limited choices - especially with the use of gift deeds

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 7:31am On Jun 01, 2017
Don't you think that in this case, there would be a request for further POF? Which would cause further delays that could have been avoided?

There is nothing absolutely wrong with the spouse transferring the bulk sum to the wife (Same in my case) and then writing an LOE... If you read what other's wrote carefully, you would realize they suggested an LOE and not a gift of deed as you have been stating... you do not need a gift of deed if the money is from your spouse...

I can't remember the name of the poster that needed the advice, but it's very simple and has been a case a lot of times on this thread. Simply transfer the money to your wife and explain in a letter why you did so... (To meet up with IRCC's rule of PA having the POF in his/her name).

All the best!

Boss13:

You submit ADR with divorce or legal separation documents

I have mentioned this before and I still think there's no point setting up a whatsapp group for post ITA... How much info do you think you would have if every older member here with experience had moved on to a whatsapp group?

How do you intend to answer questions with regards to eAPR, POF in the group when none of you in there has ever had such experience? Don't you think you still need to fall back here?

This forum was created for and is still very useful and informative for pre ITA and post ITA... Even life in Canada... Let's try stick together here and keep sharing. I haven't seen any reasonable question asked by anyone (old or new) that hasn't been answered here. People take out time to give help based on their experience gathered from this same thread... Let's appreciate that.

All the best everyone!

lacord5:

It's just that replies come a bit late here. This is a general express entry forum, we aren't going to abandon it, will share timelines here but some specific questions in regards to eAPR, PoF etc, could best be treated by those in same shoes. I was in an ielts WhatsApp group created from Nairaland and believe me it helps people a lot.

You are safe... That won't matter anymore after you have your ITA...

Congrats everyone...

40manlappy:

Since you should get ITA today, I don't think you have to worry too much. Start gathering documents so that if possible, you can submit before your birthday. I have read something similar somewhere but I am not sure if it was upon ITA or AOR but I suggest you play safe.

I think your best option is to source for the funds and have one person send it to your account. That one person should get a gift of deed done for you and maybe add an LOE to support and state the reason.

That shouldn't be a problem...
40manlappy:

@SlowlybtSurely, boldinc, Beem4cupid, merrymum, dannio: any ideas on the above?

LOE is ok for spouses... No need for gift of deed.

Slydsolutions:
Fellow Canadians,

I have a challenge, my wife and I have been arguing about the need for a gift deed regarding POF, some of the funds had been in Her account but she recently transferred it to my account.
My query is, do we need to do a gift deed from her to me, since I am the PA or we can just explain it in our LOE.
Also, is there any need for notorizing the gift deed if necessary and where can we do it.

A number of people got 'medicals passed' a few days after submitting. The hospital sends your results in after 3 days.

40manlappy:

"2 days"? Wow! shocked

Please, don't mind my asking the question in a different way: what was the duration (in days) between the time that you did the medical tests and

(1) date that you submitted your application?

(2) the actual date that your profile changed to "medicals passed" on e-APR?

I have been made to understand that each application is unique but I am trying to understand your timeline. Kindly indulge me wink
