Working harder on your IELTS can improve your score drastically... Has your spouse written the IETLS exam or gotten any degree evaluated? That would help as well.

coconuthead:

Thanks a bunch bro/Sis. The link was useful. I have a tentative score of 401. How can one improve on this score aside working harder on the IELTS.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 10:58am On Apr 17, 2017
Calculate your scores first... You might not need a provincial nomination.

coconuthead:
Hello everyone. Good job with the mass of information shared thus far. Am new here and seeking to migrate to canada through the express entry. My wife and I will be writing IELTS in june.

Will like to found out two things

1. Does WES accept PGD from other institutions other than university or poly? E g National Teachers Institue!

2. Where can i get info on provi ncial nominations?

3. Will appreciate if anyone can help with the link to determine what my express entry scores will look like based on my profile.

Thanks

How old is your Tbills and does it have sufficient funds? Or u need to add your husband's?

oomowoomie:

Thanks a lot boldinc

Yes the Tbills is in his name and it's d same account I spoke about in number 2. Although I also have Tbills having d same condition as well.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 8:01am On Apr 14, 2017
Hello... Congrats on your ITA!

1. Add his work experience to personal history and take it out of Work experience.
2. He would need to transfer the bulk sum to your account and write an LOE to support that.
3. Are the Tbills in his name and different from the account you spoke about in No. 2?
4. You need to answer No. 3

oomowoomie:
Congrats to those we recently got ITA in the last draw. Please this is a POST ITA concern.

I am the principal applicant. On the checklist I received, I can see they requested for reference letter for my spouse. The question goes thus.

1. Can I claim that he has no work experience so that he wouldn't have to provide any reference letter?

2. He would be also be helping out with POF, showing his account statement, would this contradict the first statement (of saying he has no work history)?

3. Still on PoF. When using Tbills do u also need to provide an account statement?

4. By the time I am submitting my application, my Tbills would be about 5 months although it's for a 6 months tenure. Would this be a problem?

Thanks in advance

From your info, I assume he's not the principal applicant. You do not need to evaluate his PGD since it was gotten in Canada... As long as that's the only thing you are claiming points for. You are good to go...

Epudome:

Thnx for ur response bt my spouse has PGD nt PHD. So wat do u think? Although filling the profile i av put it there that he doesn't av ECA for his bsc then i added that he has completed a one year diploma/certificate/degree in canda.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 9:20pm On Apr 08, 2017
I do not think the BSc would need to be evaluated as the highest qualification (PHd) was from a Canadian Institution...

Gymme:
Yes you still need to evaluate his Bsc from Nigeria since it was not obtained in Canada.

Accompanying spouse does not need to submit reference letters and the job does not necessarily have to be in NOC O, A, or B. If the job for the accompanying spouse was not in Canada, reference letter is not mandatory.

Yes you do...

Hi guys,

Do we need to wait for our WES documents before starting the application.

My spouse IELTS is 9777 for - S,L,R,W.

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 6:47am On Apr 07, 2017
Not sure I understand your question... Do you mean you and your husband have a score of 459 without your evaluation? If so and if he's the principal applicant, you do not need to evaluate your degree. Your score is enough to get you ITA for your family.

Lochinny:
Good evening everyone!! Congratulations to all that received ITA yesterday!! We aim to be like you soon
Please I need an advice. We did an online accessment and with my husband as the principal applicant.
I'm a doctor and I know that even if IQAS assess' me now I'll still be assessed by medical council in Canada. So with my IQAS assessment, hubby would have liked 459points ie with our ielts result but with my own it would be 469. Do u think I should go ahead and get assessed by IQAS and get assessed again by medical council or I should not do it?
Thanks

You're right...

Markab:
She has no work experience and just started her program in Ontario, that's why she can't be a principal applicant
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 9:09pm On Apr 03, 2017
I think your wife might be better off as the principal applicant... Why not try using the CRS tool to check score both ways - you as principal applicant and also she as PA. Then you can make a choice...

2. If I remember correctly, you should have 3 years experience in the NOC you are claiming points for.

Markab:
Hello house, my wife currently studies in Canada but I don't want to include her as "coming with me to canada" in CRS assessment so as to earn maximum point because including her keeps my point below 400. Is it okay to declare her as not following to canada since she's already there?

2. My current job role in Nigeria falls under category NOC B, property and purchasing officer but im a civil engineer by profession although I have 1yr experience as a civil engineer before taking up this current role 2years ago making it cumulative 3years of work experience. Should I declare Civil engineering or purchasing as my noc?

Please advice and help a brother

Thank you o
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 9:06pm On Apr 03, 2017
It's not a problem... You are good to go.

omesanni:
Hi,

Is it a problem if too much time has elapsed from when u get a document to when u eventually submit it as per ITA request. So for example, I have two bank accounts - one in Nigeria and the other in the UK. Now, if I get the bank letter for the Nigerian one today and say the bank letter for the UK account eventually gets to me in Nigeria one month later, would that be a problem?

I am worried some documents will take longer than others to get and I don't know if the fact that too much time elapses between getting a document and submitting it would be a detriment to someone's application
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 9:03pm On Apr 03, 2017
1. Your do not need to evaluate your SCCE... What you have from WES is good enough. When did you do the evaluation?

2. Yes you need to cos its the 'General Training' module required for Express Entry.

3. Your occupation would not increase your chances... however, it's difficult to tell how good a chance you might have without your age and marital status.

4. No... You do not need to get licensed first. That can be done when you arrive in Canada and still wish you practice in that field.

jaybwoi:
Hello House,

I have a Medical Laboratory Science degree from the University of Nigeria and graduated in 2007. I obtained a M.Sc in Public Health degree from the UK and graduated in 2012. I have been in full time employment since 2008 as a Medical Laboratory Scientist till date (Inclusive of internship and NYSC).

I wrote IELTS (Academic) in May 2015 and obtained the following scores: S8.0 R7.5 L7.5 W6.5 (Overall 7.5)
I wrote PTE (Academic) in December 2016 and obtained the following scores: S65 R76 L90 W89

Please I desperately need the following clarifications:
1. For the WES evaluation, do I need to submit my SSCE or just documents for my 1st and 2nd degrees? If yes, how do I get WAEC/NECO to send my results to WES?
2. Do I need to re-write IELTS?
3. What are my chances for the express entry as a Medical Laboratory Scientist?
4. Do I need to get licensed first to practice in Canada, before applying for the express entry?

I intend to apply as a single applicant. I just hope these questions aren't too much of a bother.

Below is the provisional degree equivalency report from WES:

"Now that you know what your education is worth in Canada, get a WES credential evaluation to verify your credentials so they will be recognized by universities, employers, licensing bodies and CIC immigration programs in Canada.
Credential 1
Country of Education: Nigeria
Name of Degree: Bachelor of Science
Name of Institution: University of Nigeria
Equivalency in Canada: Bachelor's degree (4 years)

Credential 2
Country of Education: United Kingdom
Name of Degree: Master of Science
Name of Institution: Anglia Ruskin University
Equivalency in Canada: Master's degree

Thank you house.

That should be fine as long as the letter shows the value and also states when you can have access to the cash.

Am in a similar situation too. Mine Treasury Bill's subscribed through Meristem. What I intend doing is to get a letter from Meristem and also add the certificate.

I'm no sure of the address, tho I know it has been posted on here at some point. I don't think it matters much either... Any address you find on their website should suffice...

I can't remember receiving an online report from WES. I only scanned the copy of the paper report and uploaded. It is not necessary if you do not have it yet as the reference number is all you really need. However, no harm in attaching the report you have alongside...

TDELTD:

Apologies, for some reason i do not think you got the email i sent. Please see below in response to your comments in red.

CIC Address to include in reference letter from bank: Could you help out with this?
2. Attaching WES report: I read on the CIC website that it is not required to attache WES report. However, to be on the safe side i will attach it. You cannot go wrong with more documentation. Will the online report sent to me by WES Suffice as i do not have the paper copy yet? Please see attached document.

The correct size is on your post ITA form... Click on the blue icon with the question mark right beside the 'Digital Photo' upload row and you will find the details you need.

eaglemaniac:
Hello everyone, I just got ITA, and presently , I am gathering documents. Please, what is the size of the digital photo we are expected to upload? Some sites say 35x 45mm, while some say 50x70mm. For those that have passed through this stage and have been successful, what size did you upload? Also, is reference letter alone enough or one has to add payslips?
