Your question has been answered Correctly earlier on... You cannot claim anyone not Blood related to you (same father, Mother, sibling, or partner) as family in Canada.

You seem to be looking out for some sort of 'go ahead' from anyone... No one here would advise you otherwise from being totally truthful. It is stated clearly on their website. As advised, try PNP or other means to boost your score.

All the best!

Homguy:
I am nit trying to decieve CIC, I am well aware of the possible aftermath. However, are you very certain about this as i got contrary opinions from people around me who have applied. However, i thought i should confirm here. Can any other person give an opinion on this? Thanks

Are you sure about that? The list of requirements doesn't include AOR letter... Know someone who used that?

MummyJaygirls:

Even if u don't have PPR u can attend. AOR letters admit too

I do not see anything wrong with getting the gift deed...

studyexec:
Hi all,

In reviewing your PR application, is it expected that if your have up to 10 years working experience, you should have reasonable level of savings to migrate and not rely on gift deed for POF for family of 4. Can you be rejected because of this?

I am asking because myself and spouse have personal and business assets above the required funds which we are trying to sell. I particularly have a land I have been trying to sell for the past 4 months as settlement funds, but it will still take time to dispose of.

However, I can be gifted the required funds by my family. Can I go ahead with the gift.

Thanks in advance

The system will only choose the number of people with the cut-off score... There can never be more people with the score without ITA.

MummyJaygirls:

You remember oga Hussein said it will be first come first serve for ITA abi have they not started it or they have scrapped that rule.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 8:50pm On Aug 02, 2017
That's incorrect... You will receive ITA even if it's day after you got in...

Please will I receive an Invitation to Apply from this draw even though I just entered the pool Monday, 31-July cos someone told me I am supposed to be in the pool for at least a week before the next draw

A huge thanks to all the Eggheads in the house. The information on this platform cost people thousands of Dollars to get. Imagine David Cohen wanted to chop my money....

I was able to get into the pool simply with the guide from various consultants here. ... My score is 442... I have seen the draws... I presume they will be sending me ITA... Thanks....

I havent seen the message on my profile, any ideas of when to check for the notification of ITA?

Is this other statement in your name? Pls print asap, attach and submit.

MissG:
Hi Guys,

Urgent question, my profile says I have one day left to submit my application.

I am ready to submit my application now but just realised the exchange rate has gone up. I have 4.9m bank balance showing on my statement but the rate as at today is 5.1m. The last time I checked the rate it was 4.5m to 18,825 CAD . I really do not know what to do.

1. Can I print an online bank statement from a separate account to cover the rest as banks are closed now and send the letter from the bank at a later date?
2. My EE profile will expire if I decline ITA
3. Will SINP send my nomination again if I create a new EE profile as my Sinp certificate says my nomination expires on the 28th of Oct
4. When it says I have 1 day left to submit, does that mean it expires at 12 midnight Canadian time
Please I need your advice.

Good afternoon great people of NL. I got Ontario nomination today and I'm thinking ahead of an ITA. The thing is, I have a study permit application that is ongoing (haven't done medical yet) and I'm wondering, while that is going on, can I submit application for PR when ITA lands? Is there any law or otherwise that prohibits that (running the two applications together)?

Please, I need your wealth of experience on this matter.

No, you do not need to wait for that... You can commence the ECA alongside... It's a better option, so both results can get to you about the same time, the you can get into the pool quicker!

All the best!

It doesn't look like you have done much reading... But I'll help with some info while I urge you to read more on this thread.

Firstly, go to this link and follow the instructions - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Come back and inform on the points you score...

You age and other information you gave make you an eligible applicant for the Canadian PR. I assume you are single.

Check your score on the link first...

Xopoh:
Hi everyone,

I have read through every comment in this thread and i have not gotten any reply that answers my burning question about migrating to Canada.

I am 23,male, a university graduate(2013) with 2+ years work history and i VERY VERY Much want to leave Nigeria for Canada. I have been trying to process a visa since i was done with my NYSC, but because of challenges like my age(then 20) or finance issues i could not successfully process a visa.
I lost my father recently(10 months ago) n was willed a reasonable amount of money(assets which i am about to sell) that kills my finance challenge and i want to use it to process my leave for Canada. My age is a barrier that is holding me back(based on what i was told by many travel agents). Now I want to take a bold step of processing a visa on my own but i still cant do it because i feel i lack enough information.

PLEASE everyone/anyone guide me through, Should i still wait till i am old enough(27-30 + i'm one of those kids that looks older than their age) according to the agents and keep struggling in this country? OR i just man-up n run the visa independently?

For questions, i hope the information i'm giving below will give clarity and tailored response:
1. I want go in to work first because i don't have enough money to process a tertiary institution but enough to fund accommodation for 6 months, feeding and clothing for a year.
(i can settle for a very low level job for a start)
2. I have worked as a finance officer for an HR firm, a CSR for a bank, currently a Business support analyst for consulting firm and a business designer (freelance)
3. I am working on getting a invitation from every friends, friends of my friends and even enemy that can help in Canada. I don't have any family that want to help(if you know what i mean).

Please i really need guidance and helpful suggestions.. i am tired of waiting.
Thanks,

Thanks for your kind and enlightening words...

It would be nice if you could please share tips on how to start your own business in Canada (maybe Toronto where you have vast experience). I'm leaning towards living in London, but not limiting where my wife or I would work/setup up business... Definitely within Ontario.

I am business minded and have always had my own businesses, which would keep running themselves even while I'm away in Canada.

Done a lot of research lately and I have decided to learn more on Supply Chain & Logistics Management. I really do not have any prior knowledge in the field, but I intend to get a diploma and do a small job on the side or voluntary work just to gain experience while studying. I believe the work experience and Diploma would help get a good job eventually or start up a business as I actually plan to own my own trucks... I learnt moving is big in Canada.

Thanks for your response in anticipation.

For some personal reasons,I only read and appreciate the contributions of members of the forum. I don't usually get involve on issues personally to avoid unwarranted issues on a faceless forum, I am not someone who who likes to make assumption on people I have not met in person. What works for someone in a particular province in Canada may not work for the best of brains in that particular province. So the idea that Toronto is not a city where one can make it is a total fallacy that can only be made by Nigerians.

If you can make it in Nigeria and Europe, you will make it anywhere in the world. It is all mindset. Please don't allow anyone to tell you that you can't make it in Toronto. If for any reason, you decide to move to another province on your own accord, that is fine by me. I have gotten offers from the same Alberta and refused them, yet I have still survive Toronto till date.We are all products of our imaginations, which sets our limits and otherwise.
I have worked in Financial services in Nigeria,UK and recently in Canada(with Scotia Bank) and still ended up dumping the Financial services job and acquired education on a "Recession Proof field", where I am presently working and also doing my business along side.

If you are business minded, you will make millions of Money out out of nothing In Toronto, based on your ability to see things others don't see.

Please try and PM me........you should be able to start something within the next 6weeks after few days training ,which csn give you financial stability to get your desired job afterwards.

Well... it's less than 4 years, so I'll say 2 - 3 years... You should note though that they mean all work experience cumulative. So if you have others besides this company, then it would be 4 -5 years.

For example... Adding NYSC if you haven't, makes it 4 - 5 years.

UdomoLeinad:
Not for the work experience in Canada. I'm not using the crs calculator now, I'm checking eligibility for the EE. The question asks how many years experience I've had within the past 10 years, the options are "none, less than one, one, two to three, four to five, six or more".

Do you mean work experience in Canada? If not, 4 to 5 years doesn't matter... 3 years gives you the maximum points for work experience in Nigeria...

UdomoLeinad:
From October 7th, 2013 till date is a total of 3 years 10 months.

So does this fall under "two to three" OR "four to five" years of work experience?

You have nothing to lose... Jump in.

When you new results are out, just update and your score changes accordingly... no need for a new profile at the time.

All the best!

UdomoLeinad:
Greetings all. I currently have a CRS of 409 but have another IELTS scheduled for August 19th. Would you advice me to join the pool or wait till the results from the August test is released. 409 seems like a low score and I don't expect the draws to get as low as 409, at least not till I have results from the forthcoming test, so left to me I'd stay out till I take the next test. However, I'm thinking about what the implications of joining the pool are. Would I have to cancel the profile or update once I get updated IELTS results? Advice please!

Can you verify this information? I doubt that is correct as there are accredited and recognized schools that offer online courses.

elfmann:

I think the UK degree was an online thing. If that is the case the degree won't be accepted as it does have any percentage of offline engagement. I think they accept it when you had at least 25% offline.

I would advise you go ahead with evaluating both degrees...

You cannot be asked for a police report if your travel history doesn't show that you were in the UK for over 6 months cumulative...

Spiritualgal:

Good day All,

Congrats to those who have gotten their PPR. I wish you God's favor in Canada.

I have been a silent reader for some months. I have gotten my confidence to interact more with people on the forum. I have a question that i need answers to as i have been bothered by it.

I want to start my ECA. I have a BSc degree from a Nigerian university and another BSc from a school in the UK. I did the Uk study while in Nigeria and didn't travel down to the UK university at all. I intend to assess both degrees as two or more certificates, but a friend told me not to assess the international degree because i will be asked to get police report from the UK, if i include/assess the foreign certificate when i eventually get my ITA. How true is this? If true, how do i overcome this issue? Has anyone experienced this in the past?

Please i need your candid advice as i do not want to make any mistake when processing my application.

Thank you as you help me out.
