I have always maintain that prior to the invasion of the African soil, civilization of the black race was light years above that of the white. But they came, invaded us, raped our common good and threw us into the dark.

Religion / Re: Why Jesus Needed To Be Born By A Virgin by bollify(m): 10:42am On Mar 12, 2017
ZirdoRoray:
Stars, meteors, and heavenly lights allegedly signaled the birth of many
man-gods, including Christ, Yu, Lao-tzu, various Roman Caesars, and
Buddha. This parallels the strange and fantastic events
that surround the births of purely mythological figures, such as Osiris
in Syria, Trinity in Egypt, and Mithra in Persia.

Two thousand years before Christ, the virgin Egyptian queen Mut-em-
ua gave birth to Pharaoh Amenkept III. Mut-em-ua had been told she
was with child by the god Taht, and the god Kneph impregnated her by
holding a cross, the symbol of life, to her mouth. Amenkept’s birth was
celebrated by the gods and by three kings, who offered him gifts. (Notice the exact similarities to the birth of Jesus?)

According to academia, there are at least 32 stories of other virgin
births in ancient cultures of bygone eras. The legends of the
surrounding pagan cultures were so influential in the first century that
the Early Church was forced to imitate and incorporate them to have
their ‘new’ Christian religion accepted.

Here are just a parallel between Horus and Jesus.

Horus
The Legend of Horus is one of the most ancient myths in Egypt, and it
was central to the ancient Egyptian state religion. He was worshipped
three thousand years before Jesus and his worship lasted into the
common era. The followers of Horus invaded Egypt in pre-dynastic
history (before 3000 B.C.E.).
He is often shown as an infant cradled by his mother Isis. He avenged
his father’s murder, and became recognized as the God of civil order
and justice.
Both were conceived of a virgin.
1. Both were the “only begotten son” of a god (either Osiris or
Yahweh)
2. Horus’s mother was Meri, Jesus’s mother was Mary.
3. Horus’s foster father was called Jo-Seph, and Jesus’s foster
father was Joseph.
4. Both foster fathers were of royal descent.
5. Both were born in a cave (although sometimes Jesus is said to
have been born in a stable).
6. Both had their coming announced to their mother by an angel.
7. Horus; birth was heralded by the star Sirius (the morning star).
Jesus had his birth heralded by a star in the East (the sun rises in
the East).
8. Ancient Egyptians celebrated the birth of Horus on December 21
(the Winter Solstice). Modern Christians celebrate the birth of
Jesus on December 25.
9. Both births were announced by angels (this is not the same as
number 7).
10. Both had shepherds witnessing the birth.
11. Horus was visited at birth by “three solar deities” and Jesus was
visited by “three wise men”.
12. After the birth of Horus, Herut tried to have Horus murdered. After
the birth of Jesus, Herod tried to have Jesus murdered.
13. To hide from Herut, the god That tells Isis, “Come, thou goddess
Isis, hide thyself with thy child.” To hide from Herod, an angel tells
Joseph to “arise and take the young child and his mother and flee
into Egypt.”
14. When Horus came of age, he had a special ritual where hsi eye
was restored. When Jesus (and other Jews) come of age, they
have a special ritual called a Bar Mitzvah.
15. Both Horus and Jesus were 12 at this coming-of-age ritual.
16. Neither have any official recorded life histories between the
of 12 and 30.
17. Horus was baptized in the river Eridanus. Jesus was baptized in
the river Jordan.
18. Both were baptized at age 30.
19. Horus was baptized by Anup the Baptizer. Jesus was baptized by
John the Baptist.
20. Both Anup and John were later beheaded.
21. Horus was taken from the desert of Amenta up a high mountain
to be tempted by his arch-rival Set. Jesus was taken from the
desert in Palestine up a high mountain to be tempted by his arch-
rival Satan.
22. Both Horus and Jesus successfully resist this temptation.
23. Both have 12 disciples.
24. Both walked on water, cast out demons, healed the sick, and
restored sight to the blind.
25. Horus “stilled the sea by his power.” Jesus commanded the sea
to be still by saying, “Peace, be still.”
26. Horus raised his dead father (Osiris) from the grave. Jesus raised
Lazarus from the grave. (Note the similarity in names when you
say them out loud. Further, Osiris was also known as Asar, which
is El-Asar in Hebrew, which is El-Asarus in Latin.)
27. Osiris was raised in the town of Anu. Lazarus was raised in
Bethanu (literally, “house of Anu”).
28. Both gods delivered a Sermon on the Mount.
29. Both were crucified.
30. Both were crucified next to two thieves.
31. Both were buried in a tomb.
32. Horus was sent to Hell and resurrected in 3
days. Jesus was sent to Hell and came back
“three days” later (although Friday night to
Sunday morning is hardly three days).
33. Both had their resurrection announced by women.
34. Both are supposed to return for a 1000-year reign.
35. Horus is known as KRST, the anointed one. Jesus was known as
the Christ (which means “anointed one”).
36. Both Jesus and Horus have been called the good shepherd, the
lamb of God, the bread of life, the son of man, the Word, the
fisher, and the winnower.
37. Both are associated with the zodiac sign of Pisces (the fish).
38. Both are associated with the symbols of the fish, the beetle, the
vine, and the shepherd’s crook.
39. Horus was born in Anu (“the place of bread”) and Jesus was born
in Bethlehem (“the house of bread”).
40. “The infant Horus was carried out of Egypt to escape the wrath of
Typhon. The infant Jesus was carried into Egypt to escape the
wrath of Herod. Concerning the infant Jesus, the New Testament
states the following prophecy: ‘Out of Egypt have I called my
son.’”
41. Both were transfigured on the mount.
42. The catacombs of Rome have pictures of the infant Horus being
held by his mother, not unlike the modern-day images of
“Madonna and Child.”
43. Noted English author C. W. King says that both Isis and Mary are
called “Immaculate”.
44. Horus says: “Osiris, I am your son, come to glorify your soul, and
to give you even more power.” And Jesus says: “Now is the Son
of Man glorified and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in
him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at
once.”
45. Horus was identified with the Tau (cross).

Unfortunately, non of these appeared in the various mythological story of Horus.

Who is responsible for telling all these lies?
What do they stand to gain from these lies?

In all the different stories I read about Horus, his mother was said to be Isis (and not Meri) and his father Osiris.

As for Ate, both pronunciation are correct. I.e /eit/ or /et/.

spectator2001:

This is the bane of the society. When discerning minds engage in meaningful subject of discourse, charlatans are quick to throw the beer parlor meaningless jargon "he will feed your family" "he is getting money". Airheads everywhere! The context of "chickened out activist" at this point in time is very much in order! Does that stop me and millions of people out there from being fans of Tuface? No! The reason for every insult Tuface shall receive during this trying period is a consequence of his actions and subsequently his inactions.

Let it be said, that the heat is still on and burning quite hot on any "move" by Tuface in the coming weeks and he should be prepared to face the heat from those who saw him as the Messiah who promised them succor as a way of getting their voices heard but backed out at the very minute they wanted to speak. His actions in a country like Nigeria would never be well received! Especially at a time when poverty and austerity has distorted every form of logical reasoning -which is indeed understandable!

So, dear friend, never throw the "he is making money" or "he will feed your generation" card unnecessarily. Take care, it shall be well with you and everybody!

Who told you he chickened out? Did you wear his shoes? Have you any idea how he made his journeys these few days? Have taken a minute to ponder on the possibility of the actions that might have led to his reaction? What makes you think you are more rational than him? What if he wasn't doing it to be called a hero?

If you followed the protest yesterday, you will realised that some politicians already hijack the protest in the interest of their caucus due to the problem Nigeria is currently facing. What if he doesn't want to be used as political tool to get those he is fighting against into a position of even higher authority than they have now?

A protest that someone who openly declared that Tuface will be arrested if he embark on the protest was the same person who followed the protesters from the start to the end. Have your seat and take a break to think things through before blaming him. Just before you think he chickened out, remember that you were not in his shoes, you didn't see what influenced his decision. He definitely had his reasons, but those reasons are not what the public is saying, those reasons are something personal, something deep, something you may never understand. The Tuface that announced the protest is not one who will chicken out, he pulled out because of what you and I still don't know.

Be careful the way you come hard at others. Before you place that blame, before you name tag a person, try to wear their shoe and walk the distance they've walked. Then and only then will you fully understand what they see before arriving at their own conclusion.

The Heros of today just may be all those protesters who are risking their lives coming out to speak against this injustice, nepotism, corruption etc.

Those of you blaming 2face, have you asked yourselves questions?

Less than 12 hours before he made the video, he announced the dress code of the planned protest. Less than 6 hours before the video, he announced the dos and the don'ts. Was the proper consultation done within one hour? Did he really made this dying minute decision in his free will?

The protest was announced in his studio. He was even sitting, with the video recorded in an anticipating and happy mood. But the cancellation video was recorded in an unknown place, with him standing and he couldn't hide his disappointment. Are you sure the video wasn't recorded with gun pointed at his head? What will you do if you were in his shoe?

For me, my respect and admiration for this guy is not even scratched to talk of losing it. In facts, I am currently playing his song at the moment.

Wait... Lemme rephrase my question.

What's the answer to 'Where are you (at)?'

(A) I'm in Ikeja (B) I'm at Ikeja

In your case, 'in' is the correct preposition. Because Ikeja is a popular city.

'in' is used when you refer to a country or a popular city. Whereas, when referring to a less known place, you use at.
An exemption to this rule however, is, if you were going to a particular place and you take a stop at another, even if it's a country, you use 'at'. For example, on my way to Benin, we stopped at Ibadan for lunch.

I don't have a straight forward answer but questions:

1) Why is the HQ of Catholic church in Rome and not Israel, if it was founded by Jesus?

2) if Paul was taken to Rome a prisoner, when did Peter transit to the Papal palace at a time Christians were persecuted and martyred?

3) if Jesus founded the Catholic Church with Peter as Pope, why was the bible scriptures suppressed by the said Church?

4) if the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus, why are there no similarities with the Jewish religious worship but so much similarities with the Cult of Mithras (ancient Roman religious practices)?

Very valid questions.
