U mentioned war not me. What I said is unwise is the war u mentioned. It's ur right to want succession and to achieve such it will be on the table and nothing more.
U want succession yet u send ur representatives to abuja to talk about true Federation. U want secession and yet ur governors are saying otherwise. U want secession and yet no reputable traditional rulers from ur zone has spoken in support of it. What about captains of industries from ur zone. The movers and shakers, the millionaires in ur midst, who among them has spoken in support?
Even if the govt calls for talks today, who are those that will represent u in the talks? Who are the elders that will fight ur cause? Kanu? Only a foolish govt will take that tout serious. Kanu is a nobody and not qualified for such. Who is that boy Kanu when real Igbos are in session? Not until u lot gather urself together and speak and act in one accord then ur secession desire will be taken serious. Till date, just jobless and shameless lots within u are shouting Biafra. [/b]
You are going round in circles. I am not playing that game. The whole premise of the argument was that their agitation started recently. I said it started way back in the 60's. You are saying it started recently and i gave the civil war as a pointer to when it started. Good idea or not, the argument is about when the biafran fight began.

None because all other zones are very wise enough to know that after every war, no matter how bloody it is, the next phase will be the negotiating table. Only egoistic lot go to war all because they want to prove a point and what did the war give you? Can you look into my eye and tell me it was indeed worth it considering all ur losses? Even Ojukwu died a Nigerian.
U claimed u fought for something but at the end u got nothing and the very little u had, so much was taken from it yet u are advocating for another. Continue, total elimination beckons on you.
You are still missing the point. Wise or not, they've always wanted secession. You are saying they just started fighting for it and i am telling you they've always wanted it. It being wise or not is not the argument.

When u are talking about feelings, it's not perculiar to se alone. Each zone has its own unique grievance and desires. Chief among is true federalism. Even at that, that's not the point here.
The point here is not until Jonah-daft was rightfully booted out, ipob weren't a serious nuisance to the general populace.
And that's what Nigerians don't understand. We fought a civil war because of what you are waving away so flippantly. Which other zone in Nigeria has gone to full scale war because of it's grievances?

Fun fact. In America, you can be over age and still date an underage girl. The clause in the law is, both of you must have started the relationship before either of you hit 18. So, in effect, you can be 20 and date a 16 year old girl. As per the scenario i have just described.

Avoid sugar. Sugar causes several responses in your system which result in drowsiness and brain fog some time later. The faster the sugar was taken into your system, the stronger the effect.

Don't start from the civil war. Start from when some group of miserable ibo soldiers killed just officers from other tribes and left officers of theirs alone to live during the Ironsi coup.
I don't think you get the point. The point is the biafran agitation did not just start today. It was part of the reason the civil war was fought.

One way to describe a Military is a group of professional, well trained Soldiers whose sole purpose is to defend their country. Keyword here is professional and trained. Nigerian Soldiers are neither. They are more like a vigilante group than anything.

Phones › Re: 10 Things You Should Stop Doing On Social Media by Bollinger(m): 11:17pm On May 21, 2016
CaptainEColeJnr:
Hello Nairalanders!
As we all know, we're in the 21st century, and technology has really made life easy and sweet and it has also connected the world together irrespective of distance or language barrier.
Social Media has really played a vital role in Communication and making the world a "Global Village".
But despite being so useful and enjoyable, there is a need we apply restraints when using Social Media .. at least for our own good. There are certain things we mustn't do on Social Media. Excerpts below :
1.Thanking A girl/boy for accepting your friend request : This is peculiar to Facebook, like seriously? do you really have to thank him/her for accepting your request? That only makes you look childish and desperate as if you were begging him/her before. Its definitely not smart!
2.Overusing hashtags : You see someone who posted a comment on Facebook or twitter and at the end of the comment you see stuffs like #21May #WeLoveU #LetsKeepitrolling .. come-on bro! do you really need to write that many hashtags? That will only look childish and make the post look so annoying to read. #Fact (I just used one grin)
3.Asking people to follow you back : Why must you make yourself look so desperate? Why not create a little self pride at least! Asking people to follow you back will just make you look more or less like a roadside beggar begging for some little change!
4. Asking for a lady's nude pictures :Most guys are guilty of this, you strike up a conversation with a girl on Facebook, and after chitchatting and getting on well with her, then you suddenly demand for her nude.s, come-on bros! You are only showing her that you're pervert who is only after sex, Be a gentleman!
5. Plagiarism :When you see an inspirational post or a funny tweet or a unique photo, and you feel the need to show your friends and followers, then you must at least give credit to the owner or original writer of the content.. but reverse seems to be the case, people on social media copy and paste contents and parade it as though they were the original writer.. and that is not good! Plagiarism is a serious offence in most countries, I dunno about Nigeria
6. Posting the same content over and over again : There's this annoying guy that I have in my Facebook, he keeps posting one particular picture over and over again, I dunno really know why he does that ,perhaps because he wore a nice suit in the photo.. I got so tired of seeing the photo.. and the funny thing is that he hardly even get one 'like' .. lol.. why post the same old thing over again, it ain't cool.
7. Posting revealing photos : This goes to mostly the girls, why must you go half-naked on social media just because you wanna get likes and comments.. silly comments like "you're hot" "dope bae" "sexy momma" .. not knowing that you're giving the impression that you're an "olosho" .. Real talk!
Decency pays, you know cool
8. Sharing your home address : Hehehe .. I was going through one of my Guy's. Facebook profile, then I saw "17B Olusanya street,Maryland".. I was like WTF!!! .Who asked you to share such a personal info? Are you running an office in your house? C'mon dude!
9. Constantly bragging about yourself : Some people are so good at show-offs on social media, especially those who are broke-asses in real life.. Must you snap in front of a mirror just to show us your new phone? .. you're definitely not the first to buy such phone sef undecided .. you mustn't show us your new Timberland or your new wristwatches.. niggah keep it to yourself .. no one asked you to show us.. duurrh!
Lets be real!
Getting into arguments : Lol .. I used to be guilty of this before
. but I realised that there's absolutely no point in getting into arguments with anyone on social media.. cuz people aren't always the way you see them on social media, they might be different you know! .. Why not just ignore if someone tries to pick a fight.. in real sense, that makes you look cool and the person dumb! hehehe

I rest my fingers at this moment, Like some people will always say, "Do not take anything on social media too serious .. they might be joking. lol..

Original writer: Me
There are only two things you should not do on social media.

1) Do not for any reason sign up for facebook, instagram, twitter.

2) If you have to get one, don't post personal shiit on it for everyone to see. Family and close friends i understand, but every tom, dick and harry? Come on.

Correct. Nigerians forget that fayose, Jonathan, Dasuki, etc, were once youths who grew up in a system that corrupts the mind. Without changing the mentality the result will be the same for another 50 years. Irrespective of who leads the country.

Events › Re: How To Get Food At A Nigerian Wedding by Bollinger(m): 7:40pm On May 21, 2016
Naijasinglegirl:
don’t think there anything more painful than watching others eat their share of the wedding jollof rice while the only thing you were able to get is serviette to dry your tears.
I’m usually so mad that once I leave the wedding, I stop by nearest fast food and throw a wedding buffet where I am the only attendee.
I have been a victim far too many times that I have been left with no choice but to research on all the possible ways to avoid this.

See below;

1. Pick the right table
Choose a table closest to where the food is being kept (If it’s a buffet) or where the influential people are seated to minimise the chances of being missed. E.g The mummies of the day canopy.
Some ‘big girls’ are fond of seating far away from the crowd then cry foul when they don’t get food.
Ushers assume five things which affects your chances of getting food.
– You are an uninvited guest.
– You are waiting for someone.
– You are too big to eat.
– You are waiting to clean the arena.
– You were not noticed when food was being served.
– You are the groom’s wicked ex.

2. Don’t let strangers sit with you
Most event decors at wedding receptions usually arrange a table for five or six. Assuming you attend a wedding reception alone or with a friend, there’s a high probability you would sit with four or more strangers at your table, who may be chronic long throats.
If this happens, the small-chops, cake, drinks, wine and whatever was kept on the table before the reception commenced are at risk!
Don NOT LET this happen! Lie the seat is already occupied if you have to.

A couple of a years ago, I attended a wedding reception with my cousins and when we were barely seated, one old lady in matron uniform who was obviously an uninvited guest claimed the last vacant seat.
Before I could say ‘Jollof’, she pulled out a Sacks&Motors bag and began fiddling with it. The wine was the first thing that went missing, followed by two cans of coke and all the disposable cups. When I asked her if she had seen ‘our wine’, she pointed at the juice.
Later she kept hovering around the kitchen area and I saw her quarrelling for souvenirs. Needless to say, when the reception ended, our lucky lady left with a full Sack&Motors bag. The only thing she didn’t go home with was the bride’s bouquet.

3. Sit with the gang you came with
Or people you are familiar with. This is the only way you’d be able to eat comfortably or call the police to arrest anyone that attempts to cheat you of your share of small-chops on the table.
Alternatively, you can try the head-girl method. Let me explain;
If I attend a wedding alone, what I usually do is make friends with kids I feel I can dominate during the church service so I can trick them to sit with me when the reception begins.

4. Sit with a guy
Naturally, guys would try to respect themselves at wedding receptions especially if they are trying to impress a girl.
Is any guy at the wedding hitting on you? Accept the invitation to sit with him and his group of friends.
Congratulations!
You’ve just earned yourself all the 6 packs of small chops on the table.

5 Smile when food is being shared
Ushers are more inclined to serve your table if you maintain a cheerful disposition. At least for the sake of the innocent people seated with you, SMILE! Put yourself in the ushers shoes, won’t you avoid serving the table where those seated wear a perpetual frown?

6 Compliment the ushers
Ladies naturally love compliments. Before the reception commences, tell an usher her teeth look nice, you admire the way she’s diligent at her job, you like the way her conscience radiates or she’s the most beautiful girl at the wedding and I, Naijasinglegirl, solemnly promise you won’t go home hungry in Jesus name.

7 Arrive early
If you arrive late to a wedding reception, you are on your own! First, all seats would be occupied and no one would serve you food while you are standing. Secondly, you stand a high chance of missing the exact time for item 7.
In fact, the only reason you should arrive late is if you are coming from a buffet or if your dietician recommended left-over cold jollof rice with no meat for you.

9 Be calm
If for whatever reasons, the ushers skip you when food was being served, even after you raise your head and kept whistling “Shhhhhhh excuse me. Hello? Excus…excuse meeeeeee,” stay calm.
Remain where you are, bend your head slowly on the table and cry your eyes out if it makes you feel better. Serviet to wipe your tears are always in excess, remember.
The last thing you want to do is switch to rows or columns where food hasn’t been served yet. You would only end up embarrassing yourself since ushers usually serve in a haphazard manner. If you have answers for accusations like, “I thought I saw you there earlier!”, “I gave you food,” “Madam please go back to your seat,” “Which kind long throat you be,” etc
By all means, continue chasing the ushers from row to row.

To summarise, if all else fails, realise shit happens and it is not the last wedding reception in world. I wish you success in your next wedding.

Burna boys mom's comment is just insensitive. A girl cliam she's pregnant for your son, instead of telling your son to invite her, so you could get an authentic details of the whole event, you rather went on displaying traits of being a bad mother.

Burna boys mom's actions just suggested the kind of home she's from. Not all mothers deserve a happy Mother's Day. This woman is one of them
As usual, throwing blame around and taking sides without knowing all the facts. Anyway, the girl is the only one at fault here. As a woman in Africa, she has everything to lose. At least temporarily. She is an adult and should have used protection or insisted on him using protection because if anything goes wrong, she would bear the budden for 9 months at a minimum.

I disagree and i don't think you watched Etim played before, this guy was way ahead of Okocha then,by 'then' i talked about is 1986-1987,nobody played that No 10 better than Etim Esien, during the U20 qualifiers in Africa in1986-1987 he was handful to all the nations Nigeria played to qualify. This guy was exceptionally gifted, even Okocha agreed in one interview that Etim is better than him.Etim packed bullet shots in his legs and its very difficult to take the ball off his feets,a master dribbler, anyhow all is now history because he left football when he supposed to peak and ran to Nigeria.I watched Okocha's beginning,he was good then but Okocha matured with time, which i think Etim would have save for his problems.
I have watched him play. Plenty of times. And it does not matter what Okocha says. Performance on the pitch is what matters.
