SilentVboy:Thanks alot for the swift reply. I will try the options you highlighted. |
Good Evening folks. Please, which bank can I use to buy an item worth $580 on Aliexpress? I've tried UBA, Access and GTB. Their dollar limit prevented me from making the purchase. I will appreciate if I can be provided with info on how to make this purchase asap. |
Good Evening folks. Please, I need you guys to furnish me with some information. I relocated to Delta State recently. I suspect that I'm being defrauded by the postmaster that I collect items from. Back in Abuja, I usually pay #200 - #500 for items that weigh 0.4Kg or more. Last time I went to the post office to collect four items, I paid #400 for two items that weigh 0.121kg and 0.25kg respectively, I was charged #200 each for the other two items that weighed less than 0.1kg which refused to pay for. The post master said he'll keep the items if I don't pay for them. I asked for how they fix the charges for items weights and he refused to tell me, saying if I will like to know, I should come do the postmaster job myself. Due to the little information I had about going on with this case, I left the post office without my other two items. It's been three days now since this happened. I'm really pissed of right now. I would like you guys to advice me on how to go about this matter. I will appreciate those who have had similar experience to share some light with me. I have more items inbound that weigh less than 0.2Kg, I can't keep making myself susceptible to petty fraud. I watch other customers being defrauded by this same person despite them complaining bitterly about the charges. |
Symbiotic1:All three items were not ordered on the same day. The 1st was ordered on 12th June. Arrived local post office in Abuja, 25th September, got a call to come pick the item 13th October. Total of 123 days, approximately 4 months. I think most 4px items ordered this year will arrive eventually. |
Seems 4px logistics is picking up. I received 3 parcels shipped using 4px services. b4 now, I had almost lost hope in ever collecting them. I still have like six 4px items awaiting collection. Buyer protection has end for all items, I decided not to request for refund cuz it's not sellers fault. |
Please, has anyone recently received a 4px Singapore Post order made in June? I have like 5 - 10 items shipped using 4px. since June (and early July) which I fear I may never see. |
@chicksman9 Location: Abuja Price: 50k Version: Korean G6 - G600s 4GB Ram 64GB ROM Image of current state of phone attached. You can see your post in the laptop display.

chicksman9:I have for sale, Refurbished LG G6, everything looking and working as good as new. Give me a good offer and it's yours. |
BabaKc:Did they collect any other charge/fee (on record/off record) aside nipost handling charges? |
Vickygirk:Don't be afraid, atleast you have 50% chance of getting your phone and 50% chance of getting a refund. 50 + 50 =100% . Whichever way, you won't lose. Exercise some patience, your phone will be with you shortly. |
With the way things are, I will personally advice anyone wishing to order phones via Aliexpress to think twice before venturing into such transaction. Anything can happen. This is the very first, and will be the last time I order for expensive digital stuff and use Nipost as logistic processing entity. They did not steal my phone as I once suspected, but for personal reasons, I will no longer use their service for expensive items. |
Uchepele:It seems Uchepele must be a prophet. I got informed to come pick my my item today. The item is the LG G6 that was shipped since June 4th from same 99100 store as you guys. Seems you guys just need to exercise more faith and patience, and believe in whatever Uchepele tells you.......... I need to start thinking of how to refund the seller inorder to redeem our Nigerian image.

You can add my monika to that list. I orderred for a phone on 3rd June, Shipped 4th June, Despatched to Nigeria 8 July, but till date, I haven't seen the phone. It's quite painful. I've been to the post office thrice to check for it. 1st time it was tracked, I was told it's not in their database yet. 2nd and 3rd time, I was told that their server is down. Other items ordered after the phone have arrived. This shit has to stop. |
chimezieeze98:Which shipping logistics did you use? I also collect my items using same post office you mentioned. |
Why do I have a feeling that phones are being particularly targeted and stolen?? I suspect primarily the people (staff) offloading and sorting these items immediately they arrive Nigeria. The phones are probably stolen before they are registered into Nipost database. Either the offloaders divert the phones (gargets) or they collaborate with customs officers to steal these items. I doubt that these phones are stolen at the local post office. I ordered an LG G6 mobile (using AESS) on the 3rd of June. Dispatched to overseas on 8th July. Till date, I haven't seen the item. I have a friend who opened dispute few days before me, his too was a phone, although his tracking showed that the phone had arrived Nigeria. I have received 6 - 7 other items shipped using AESS which were ordered weeks after placing order for the phone. I've been refunded for the phone but I'm feeling bad for the seller. I have reordered another phone, but using DHL this time, the seller who I initially bought the G6 has the new phone I bought, but I couldn't dare order from him cuz I have already acquired a bad impression from him. It's really bad if these phones are being deliberately kept from the buyers and not returned to the sellers. I don't want to believe that Nigeria has really gotten this rotten i.e. Govt. officials reducing themselves to petty thieves. It is one thing to steal public funds, it's is another thing entirely to steal petty items simply because they are made to cross your path. |
HarrierJumpJet:I won't call it my phone again because I've been refunded for it last week. But no, the phone was not among the 7 items received. To be more detailed. Only 3 of the seven items were shipped by AESS, the difference/interval between the 3 AESS item order time is like 1 month. The other 4 items were from yanwen or caino. I received a text this morning to come pick another AESS item. I don't know if it will be the phone or not. I also tried to track the phone yesterday night. Before the refund, all tracking sites were showing Despatch to Overseas, but yesterday, most tracking sites were showing incomplete information. only 17track was still showing Despatch to Overseas, It seems the refund have reflected on tracking of the phone. I'll give an update after I go to collect today's AESS item. All collected AESS items are still showing Despatched to Overseas when tracked. |
Allboiz:Seems things are picking up gradually. I collected 7 items today. The most recent of the items receive was ordered on 15 Aug, shipped 17 Aug, received in Abuja 16 Sept. Roughly 1 month interval, logistics company = AESS . |
Amocee:It seems like this 8th of July is a special date ooo. My phone I ordered was despatched to overseas on 8th July, till date, I haven't received the package and tracking hasn't change since then. I just got refunded for the item few mins ago. |
isgombe:This is exactly the response and attitude i usually get from the staff at the post office. I've been wondering which post office some guys here go to without receiving text and their item will be check whether it is in the post office or not. |
Amocee:Opened dispute 5days ago (5days after BP expired), I got invalid judgment 1 day after. I checked this morning only to see that I've won the dispute i.e. valid and will be getting full refund. I'm currently planning to order another phone but use DHL this time. Nipost and AESS don 4uk up. If the item(phone) later show, I'll sell it and return money to seller. |
Hello guys, please who knows current UBA dollar exchange rate and max. limit for international transactions (dollar) ?or a link I can get these information. Need reply urgently. Thanks. |
Amocee:I placed my order 3rd june, shipped 4th june. |
May God help this seller and me. If Nigeria get bad rep after I collect my refund, make una blame Nipost. And possible the crooks stealing peoples items along the way. Almost 3 months, no info on my phone. Please, those that know how to win dispute, give me hints abeg, I don't plan to loose almost $100. Tracking has been showing Despatch to Overseas Postal Admin since 8 July.

HarrierJumpJet:We're together in this. Ordered for a phone on 3rd June. Till today, no show. The phone I'm currently using is barely holding up. Let's pray for a miracle. |
Pdazzle6:A phone I ordered too has been showing "Dispatched to overseas postal Admin" since 8th July like us. I stay in Abuja too. We just might get our items in the same week. Your post just confirmed to me that my item may not have been lost completely although I currently have only 13days to end of Buyer Protection Period. I hope my phone arrive before then (for me and the seller's good). |
Good Day folks. I made an order for a refurbished LG phone since 3rd June using AESS. The phone is repackaged as if new i.e. in pack with earpiece, charger and user manual. I have seen some comments (on some seller's page) by some buyers from other countries that their customs office held back the phone with the reason that the seller lowered the price (i.e quoted a wrong amount on the pack for a brand new phone of that model) to avoid paying some custom duties. The buyer had to go bail the phone with some cash even after explaining that the phone isn't brand new. My questions are: 1). Does such happen with our Nigerian Customs? (Given that it was shipped with AESS). I was called on Friday (14th Aug) to come pick up an item I ordered 3 weeks after I ordered the phone (through same AESS). After collecting the item, I asked them to check their system if my parcel (the phone) has arrived, I was told that their server has been down since Tuesday (11th Aug). 2). Does the PO computer only have record of parcels in that particular post office OR the computer can check Nipost database for parcels that have been received and registered by Nipost (countrywide)?? |
ebby9z:What I too have just been thinking. Xiaomi is just one brand of phone manufacturers. What if the exponents of other brands should begin their own argument here....?? Some people sef.......... |
LaCremy:I too ordered an LG phone since 3rd June, I'm still yet to receive the package. Carrier is Aliexpress Standard Shipping. Since 2nd August, it has been showing Order Completed when I track. I hope this issue is not peculiar to ordering mobile phones. |
lagosboy3:I'm in a very similar situation as you. Right now, I don't know what to think again. I believe your carrier is same as mine that is Aliexpress Standard Shipping. I contacted the seller, judging by his/her response and by the comment on the store, it seems the item was properly sent. I almost opened dispute last week monday, but the seller advised that I give it more time. I've decide to open dispute 2 days to the deadline. Please, DM me or quote this post if you receive you parcel before your buyer protection expires. I'll do thesame if I receive mine within the next 20days. My parcel is a mobile phone worth $96. Any advice will be very helpful.
