Just to clarify something, why Muslims & Christians believe that they worship different God? Because Christians believe that Jesus is Lord while Muslims believe that Jesus is a prophet like other prophets were sent by God to warn man kind

Many Christians would say no!! However, linguistc & lexicolngy, nt religion, tell us that Allah is not an Arabic word and was used before Islam, while history, again nt religion, tells us that it was & still used in the Arabic versions of the bible as God

This is a shame! A case of the kettle calling the pot black. Isn't Israel notorious for carrying out international terrorism thru its intelligence outfit - Mossad? The latest in their play book was the assasination of Hamas leader in an hotel in Dubai earlier this year using the forged passports of several countries including Britain, USA, France etc to hide their true identity. I am sure our weedy government will not do anything to call off their bluff.

I think the issue is very easy and clear, the architect designs buildings while structural engineer make sure that the designated building is built according to the design in all safe and best ways. Many people would go for the second thinking he is enough to do the job from a - z especially if they do not have much money, but mindful people will consider both of them because you cant drop one for the other especially if they want to do something good or costly like towers

@ the poster
Take this as an advise from an aunt or elder sister who has been married a while.
When people show you who they are, please take them for who they are
This man at courtship has given you a taste of what to expect in marriage
You are already miserable before walking down the aisle and you expect marital bliss
Most marriages that broke down along the way started with 2 people who were crazy in love with each other and this one is already shaky before it began.
I advise you to flee !!
I guarantee you, you'll never be good enough for this man and you'll die trying, this is your perfect opportunity to gerrout.
No body should have the power to make you miserable.

Let me collect all sincere advices to you, one for all.

vivid gate:

The 1st thing you need to do is to know what you want to import.

You must be fully aware about what you are buying / selling otherwise you mostly will lose your money, God forbid

naijacutee:

You are starting this the wrong way. Without a definite product in mind, you will tempted to go and bring anything you "think" will sell.

the best place to start will be with your market

Definitely yes, look around you, friends or relatives to get engaged to any type of business that is available to you, or you feel that you like it, but without using your money or showing it up.

If you do not know about any type of business, keep away.

chase4:

Your 500k will not be enough to travel to China and make your purchase

i suggest you do some research on what goes and what doesn't before you proceed.

Do not supply on credit but if you must, do it cautiously to avoid DISASTER!

Your capital is not up to bring innovational goods.

Romance / Re: My Fiance Says Am Fat. by BOMANY: 3:10am On Aug 19, 2010
Frankly, my wife has a full figure body, after marriage she added weight, as usual. I encouraged her to exercise but when I felt that the issue was disturbing her emotionally, I emphasized that I love her unconditionally, which is true. Moreover, the first thing attracted me is her full figure body and if she was a slim I would not fall in love with her.

Conclusion: men are various in their trends to the weight issue. If your man is not attracted generally to your size or to your body figure, cancel the marriage immediately. It means he is after something else not really love. Let's speak frankly, when you meet together, does he appreciate definite parts of your body, if he does, it means there is a chance with him to not give up with him. But if he doesn’t express attraction to any of your body, I am afraid that you has to drop him.

My friend, I know it is very difficult to call off the wedding plan and it will break your heart but I am afraid your avoidable problem now may become a night mare after marriage.
The point is that he does not appreciate your body which is the first thing to establish love connection. You have the right be concerned.
At least postpone the wedding till you get sure that everything is resolved. You appreciate his honesty, a good point to start. Despite you talked to him already without improvement, you deserve to do the last move to reconcile.

I hope this move will not affect badly the market, it is already shaking. What about our money there, should we take out.

Many questions and fears are shocking my head. We deserve more clarifications and assurance from Mr. Sanusi. When he made his first surprising move against the administrations of those banks, most of pple supported hims hoping it is a correction movement, but now there is no excuse for any other surprises undecided lipsrsealed

Sick banks for sale month end –Sanusi •CBN’s plan ’ll fail –Stakeholders

Written by Odidison Omankhanlen and Olatunde Sanni, with Agency Reports
Tuesday, 17 August 2010

BARRING any unforeseen circumstance, the eight sick banks which were bailed out with N620 billion by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) last year, aftermath of the audit report, will be handed over to new owners by the end of the month.

The banks include Oceanic Bank International, Intercontinental Bank, Afribank, FinBank and Bank PHB. Others are Spring Bank, Union Bank and Equitorial Trust Bank.

Central Bank governor, Mallam Lamido Sanusi, who disclosed this during an interview on CNBC Africa Television on Monday, noted that the apex bank had received bids for the affected banks from two foreign institutions and several local banks, but refused to name the financial institutions involved in the bidding process.

Sanusi pointed out that the appointed advisers had already completed the verification exercise for four of the banks, stressing that, that of the remaining four banks would be completed by month end.

“Two foreign institutions were involved in the bidding process, as well as several local banks and private equity firms in partnership with foreign banks. The advisers have finished analysing bids already received for four of the banks. We expect the bids for the others to have been completed by the end of this month,” Sanusi said.

Meanwhile, some shareholder groups have said the process cannot be complete without their involvement.

In a telephone interview with the Nigerian Tribune, the legal adviser to Proactive Shareholders Association of Nigeria (PSAN), Mr Nnodu Okeke, said the apex bank’s decision on the bank was only a threat , insisting that without shareholders’ consent, it would be an exercise in futility.

According to Okeke, the CBN must be able to disclose the relevant laws that gave it the powers to sell the banks, adding that his organisation was already in court to seek interpretations based on the relevant provisions in the Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act (BOFIA) and Companies and Allied Companies Act (CAMA).

Also speaking with the Nigerian Tribune, a shareholder activist, Mr. Ganiyu Lawal, said the apex bank should stop making pronouncement without the consent of the shareholders.

According to Lawal, while the shareholders appreciated the regular dialogue with the apex bank, it was important that the CBN governor finalised agreement with them before rushing to the press.

It will be recalled that the CBN governor, last month, met with shareholders’ groups, including some other stakeholders, where he allayed fears over a unilateral action in the sale of the banks, stressing that the CBN would not sell the banks as it was not the business of CBN to do that.

The CBN, he said, only recommended some reputable financial advisers, who were working with the boards and managements of the banks to source and negotiate with any of such investors that could create some value for the affected banks.

He emphasised that the process of repackaging the banks was being driven by the boards of the affected banks, some of which had held discussions with the strategic partners without direct involvement of the CBN.

The governor reassured stakeholders that the shareholders would definitely play an important role in the recapitalisation exercise and that the process of giving value to their shares was already assured with the coming on board, very soon, of the Assets Management Corporation Of Nigeria, (AMCON).

However, he cautioned that should the ongoing process to recapitalise the affected banks be frustrated, the CBN would have no option but to go for liquidation as provided by the existing legal framework.

Allah is indeed fake and Jesus is Lord, but the girl might have wanted to evangelise her Muslim friends in a more rational way using God's wisdom.

If you read the Arabic translation of the bible, you will find Allah is used as a name of God. @ Jarus I have confirmed from Mamacass here at Allen and they insist on 10k per hour, so what do you think? no speaker no disturbance and so on, i suggest we should do all the program in the mosque while we just move to mamacass after mogrib so we can save cost . i meet the mosque commitee but they said i should come back after jummat so by then i will keep you updated. thanks

It is like they do not want to serve you people.  shocked shocked I believe it is better to see another place in the same area. There is sweet sensation just in the round about and has more spacious place to park, unless if you do not like the food there  grin

We should value ourselves to be respected from others. it is free market and if you will not serve me as i am paying money, i will go to another  place for good

I am not in favor of the suggestion to go Mamacas as if they didnt say anything, but as long as mosly i will not be able to attend so it is not my call, it is for Jarus and attendants

My first day was fine, i didn’t feel so much to eat or drink, recited 2 Jozu'e of Al Qur'an Alkarim, hope to finish it before the end of Ramadan. I joined my big family to break our fast together as a family tradition. It is very funny and healthy to do. My boy still too young to fast (less than two years old)

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Enyeama To Porto & Taiwo To Liverpool by BOMANY: 11:24pm On Jul 14, 2010

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, has declared his intention to leave Israeli club side, Hapoel Tel Aviv, with his preferred destination being Portuguese league outfit Porto.

The Super Eagles number one has been linked with a move away from Hapoel even while the World Cup was ongoing owing to his superlative displays between the sticks for the disappointing Nigerian team. The former Enyimba and Heartland skipper has been linked with a switch to a host of English and Spanish sides but only Portugal’s Porto have reportedly made their intentions known. Hapoel have however denied any approach for the Nigerian superstar by the former European champions, and Enyeama, who only rejoined the Israeli league champions last Sunday, has expressed dismay at the development. According to the Israeli-based news portal Walla.com, Enyeama recently informed the club’s management that he had received a four-year contract offer from Porto. Club officials however informed him that they were not officially informed by the Portuguese club of such an offer.

From good to bad

For the time being, I’ll be a good boy,” Enyeama said. “And when I’ll have to be a bad boy, I’ll know to do that as well. I hope that things will work out. Porto wants me and if Hapoel claims that there is no offer for me, they are lying. I want to be in Porto and I don’t know if I’ll be here next week,” added Enyeama who was left out of Tuesday night’s Champions League qualifying match against Bosnian side Zeljeznicar. The Israeli site also reported that Enyeama, who has made no secret of his desire to play in Europe, told his teammates that he was not yet ready to resume playing, although any involvement in the Champions League tie would have significantly reduced his chances of securing a move to any other side participating involve in any of Europe’s club competitions.

Liverpool joins Taiwo race

Meanwhile, Nigerian defender Taye Taiwo has also expressed a keen desire to join English Premier League side Tottenham. The left-back has two years left on his contract with the French champions, but wants to join the London based Spurs, who will be participating in this season’s Champions League, to boost his chances of regular first team football. Marseille are hoping to get as much as £8.5 million for Taiwo, and have already rejected a £4.2 million bid from Spanish side Atletico Madrid for the Nigeria international who was consistently kept out of the side by Argentina’s Gabriel Heinze in the second half of last season.

“If I stay in Marseille I want to play week in week out. I am a football player not someone to sit on the bench and get paid,” Taiwo said. “My ambition has always been to play at the top level. Spurs are a fantastic team in the best league. Atletico Madrid is a very good team as well in the Champions League, so I would be interested by those two teams. Marseille is my team at the moment and I have a contract with them, so let’s wait and see. In the next two weeks things might move on,” added Taiwo in an interview with Skysports.com. Tottenham are however not the only English side interested in securing Taiwo’s services as Liverpool’s new manager Roy Hodgson is keen on bringing him to Anfield. With Emiliano Insua looking all set to leave for Italy’s Fiorentina, the former Fulham boss sees Taiwo as the perfect replacement. But with Liverpool not taking part in this season’s Champions League it would be a straight choice for Taiwo between the more prestigious Liverpool or Champions League side Spurs.
