Some of these institutions have outlived their purpose. People are just deceiving themselves. |
Abusers of power are always scared of cameras and the press. These are the type of elements holding public office and you wonder why there is no change? This kind of attitude is what gives people the audacity to stop planes at the airport. A free press is the bedrock of democracy. It is why I'm a huge fan of Sahara Reporters. Do your job. A government of cronyism. |
ycat:The sycophants enabling a corrupt system. |
wowcatty:Passport is a luxury? A means of identification? Empty heads ensure clueless elements administer with impunity. |
Insensitive government. Isn't N100k, N200k too small? Why not N1 million? Instead of entrenching a system of accountability, you are hiking fees. Monies that will be stolen with nothing to show for it. If people decide that there must be a change in 2027, no matter the number of armed personnel, you will surrender power. Very unpopular administration. |
What makes these ones so special? When civil servants retire, they are paid pensions. Have you made the payment of pensions seamless? Recently, retired police officers were lamenting. A government without direction. Just as his ministry has significantly increased passport fees. |
Were they supposed to be untouchable? Since they are the ones preventing Ukraine from making concessions. Israel has done worse in Gaza. Cry me a river. |
Is it because the governor is an APC member? Withhold the federal allocation to Edo State. So irritating. |
SmartPolician:Is he a member or an invited guest? Not an all-comers affair. |
One of the best candidates out there. I have always said that he would make a good president. This is a Southern slot, so Atiku is out of the question. What Atiku should do is support a Southern candidate like Amaechi for a one-term presidency. |
So Sowore is now the IGP's problem? Can we stop chasing shadows? |
Settle it in the court then. There should be some decorum in the sharing of legal documents. |
The policeman had absolutely no right to do that. They are so afraid of cameras because of their illegal acts. |
None of your business, but anything to create content obviously. Meddlesome interloper. |
The late President Buhari who concluded 8 years was from which region? Very simple principle, yet people keep grappling with it. Greed, staggering arrogance or wilful ignorance is responsible for this. |
This is what happens when there is no proper regulation. No checks at all. CBN gives a directive and no one complies. Cardoso is there now continuing that cycle of no accountability. Corruption wouldn't let anybody do anything. |
The fact that something like this is possible really makes the development of Nigeria a fantasy. What are we fighting for exactly? What happened to the Senate's proposed probe of USAID? Pity. |
Dogalmighty17:Did you hear the reasons he gave at that press conference with the law enforcement agents in DC? There will always be a place for oil and gas. Why should a country like Nigeria whose major source of revenue is oil and gas, be obsessed with so-called renewables? We haven't even harnessed our oil resources to its full potential. That sort of push should be viewed by Nigeria as a threat. Something fuelled by the so-called developed countries to render countries with the abundance of oil and gas useless. I won't be surprised to know that Russia was a factor in that shift to renewables agenda, orchestrated at some CIA station and sold to the world. |
Who are they cheating with? Is that why there is paternity fraud? Running in circles. |
You guys are not serious. Until recently, the political space was like a conquered territory, saturated with lamentations of a one-party state, before some people closed ranks and joined ADC, breathing life into the space. Expectedly, the reactions from the so-called opposition parties and "activists" have been an endless stream of cynicism and myopia that offers no solution. Vote Tinubu in 2027 then and stop ranting. In the UK, some politicians left the Labour Party and created another party to see how they can make a positive difference in the system. Here, people prefer inaction and are just comfortable complaining. |
That's the spirit of a patriot. Support someone else in 2027, then contest in 2031. We have seen how people grab power by whatever means and are struggling to make a meaningful impact with it. "When people show you that they are more concerned with keeping the job, than doing the job, you know that they are not worthy of public service." - Ann Johnson (Texas State Representative) |
Amaechi will make a good president. The best candidate for now. |
The U.S. has made Israel untouchable. This is one of the reasons its hegemony is dangerous. |
They are still worshipping dollars. Until the U.S. sanctions you, strategy and diversification will keep taking the back seat. |
What is gehgeh? A farm tool? Anyone who wakes up will come on the internet and spill nonsense. |
Stop disturbing the public with your incompetence and this is coming from your biggest supporter. How can the EFCC not know how many passports he has? Just shows that a thorough investigation was not done. If not, with the assistance of other agencies and ministries, that would have been uncovered. As for the president, why does Ojulari still have a job? Answer: He doesn't know why he shouldn't have one. From Japan to Brazil. Yet in 2027, some people will shamelessly contest. |
People without the slightest idea of what public service means and getting paid for doing nothing. "90m people in Nigeria don't have access to electricity. Nigeria has more people without electricity than any other country." - Ore Ogunbiyi (The Economist’s Africa correspondent) |
Narcissistic entity with an empire complex. Same USA is in every other country's business in different continents. Establishing military bases and destabilising countries with the CIA. If you care enough to meddle in their internal affairs, then expect certain consequences. Don't complain when they start tropping in, whether legally or not. There is nothing legal about what the CIA is doing overseas. |
U.S. won't condemn this. It is only good at giving blind support to Israel, while pressuring Russia to end the war with Ukraine (instigated by the U.S. and NATO). The U.S. has absolutely no moral standing to lecture anyone about anything in the world. It is nothing if not hypocritical. |
All these trips are unnecessary, but it is what it is. You fight for power, eventually get it and don't know what to do with it. Chasing shadows. "Nigeria cannot be Africa's economic powerhouse, until it can power its own houses." - Ore Ogunbiyi (The Economist’s Africa correspondent) |
Insatiable greed. The quest to make blood money at the expense of their fellow humans. Pure evil. |
All Kwam 1 has to do after he flouts this is issue an apology. His friend is the president after all. The lawless precedent that has been set. |
