Release them already. We are tried of reading articles.
Politics › Re: Fubara Confirms Over ₦600bn In Rivers State Treasury After Suspension by BondRiv:
matify83:
Mention one politician who's not using public funds for his political escapades.

All the noise wike is making comes from Rivers state funds siphoned to personal chest.

Even Asiwaju himself was drawing from Lagos to prosecute his presidency as if it was his personal ATM

Let's not be naive or be politically correct, the fight up there is dirty and only those willing to get dirty can survive.

I'm not a politician and my scruples will not allow me thrive in that field. I won't begrudge anyone who plays politics the way others are playing it because that may just be the covert rule of the game.

If you have not read those 2 books, do your future self some good.

The end justifies the means my brother.
"90m people in Nigeria don't have access to electricity. Nigeria has more people without electricity than any other country."

- Ore Ogunbiyi (The Economist’s Africa correspondent)

Maybe you just came across those books you referenced, hence your excitement. This is the politics section, such books are not new to some of us. Don't read and get carried away.

Even with those books, what you simply came out with is "The end justifes the means."
The question now is how satisfied are you with the condition of Nigeria? Since politicians have been turning state funds into their personal war chest?

Some of us don't just comment here for the sake of it or to cause more problems. We want Nigeria to be better. What you have is not a solution. What you are advocating for perpetuates a cycle of impunity and poverty, that not only stagnates Nigeria but fuels insecurity.

That a lot of people engage in something wrong, still doesn't make it right. You simply don't understand what public service means, having become accustomed to the rampant corruption in Nigeria. Your comment is an anomaly.

When things like this are mentioned, those named should come out and give quick clarifications.

600B warchest and he's still subservient to wicked wike?

That's enough money to buy out the RSHA and the PDP.

Fubara needs to read the 48 laws of Power by Robert Greene and the art of war by Sun Tzu
Public funds = War chest? And you are recommending crap below. No wonder Nigeria is the way it is.
Politics › Re: Fubara Confirms Over ₦600bn In Rivers State Treasury After Suspension by BondRiv: 9:23pm On Dec 17, 2025
No one in Rivers State knows what he is doing with our money, except those who burnt the assembly building with him. His only commissioner is Peter Odili's daughter.

How are the mighty fallen

Malami will never recover from this by the time he's properly dealt with if the president stays another 5 years at the helms of affairs.
Is the goal to deal with him or to prosecute him for the alleged crimes, which they claim to have proof of? Let us help this country. Things should be done the right way. The government has a high burden. Take him to court.
Politics › Re: EFCC Raid Malami's Homes And Offices by BondRiv: 9:12pm On Dec 17, 2025
This current AGF should ensure due process is followed. It may be him tomorrow. That's all. I will always support the fight against corruption in Nigeria.

From Farouk to Saidu. Nigeria, my country. This our Niger Delta oil. The cycle continues.
Politics › Re: Farouk Facing Probe Over Move To Pay Marketers ₦200bn Bridging Claims, Dangote A by BondRiv: 2:56pm On Dec 17, 2025
Another area of corruption in the industry. Paying for unverified and over bloated claims. Everyone is out to take advantage of the country. Unpatriotic lot.
Politics › Re: We Wrote Notes Like Spies In Aso Rock - Fatima Buhari by BondRiv: 2:42pm On Dec 17, 2025
Why didn't he order for a bug sweep? This country is run with nonchalance. Foreign agents are having a field day in Nigeria.

The actual cabals here are foreign groups sponsored by foreign governments like the USA.

What the former president was grappling with was politics. This present one is enmeshed in it. What a country.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Trumps Says Colombian President Will Be Next, Threatens Mexico by BondRiv: 2:23pm On Dec 17, 2025
The USA is a rogue nation terrorising the world. In the name of that evil thing called their "interest", they fund terrorism, invade, destabilise, topple democratic governments and force regime change.

Politics › Re: FCTA Officials Demolish River Park Estate Despite Restraining Order by BondRiv: 2:12pm On Dec 17, 2025
We are yet to hear from the FCTA. Sometimes, you see sensational reports like this, but the facts turn out to be different.

The people talking about Yerima and the rule of law are not smart enough to know they are hypocrites.

We must pick a side. Not because you hate Wike, you support military oppression and tomorrow you start talking about the rule of law.
Politics › Re: Mary Miller: Radical Islam Behind Killing Of Thousands Of Christians In Nigeria by BondRiv: 1:54pm On Dec 17, 2025
Riley Moore 2.0. The USA is nothing without propaganda. Nigeria is their latest obsession. Their embassy here told our unpatriotic leaders not to look into the activities of USAID and they listened.
Politics › Re: Air Force Bombs Many In Borno, Hours After Assuring Civilian Safety In Operation by BondRiv: 1:49pm On Dec 17, 2025
What is actually the issue? Is it that the Air Force does not act on proper intelligence or the civilians are with the terrorists? Any time they strike, you hear the same complaints. We have to eradicate these terrorists. Enough is enough. Very soon Amnesty International will issue their own statement.

SenecaTheYonger:
Good thing you could only mention Bush, which he invaded a country because of 911. I don't know what you expect them to do after such a massive terror attack?

Democrats have done worst even without any attack on USA. To compare the two means your brain is not properly formed.
I was right when I referred to your comment as ill-informed. Do away with the arrogance and LEARN. I recommended you go back now and properly digest my earlier comment.

Foreign Affairs › Re: ICC Rejects Israel Appeal, Arrest Warrants For Netanyahu,Gallant Remain In Force by BondRiv: 9:46am On Dec 16, 2025
A court under severe pressure and threats from disgraced countries like the USA, Israel and others. An actual genocide being condoned.
Politics › Re: Trump More Than Happy With Our Refinery — Dangote by BondRiv: 9:37am On Dec 16, 2025
SenecaTheYonger:
Terrorist sponsors are telling you gullible Nigerians that USA is not happy about our refinery so they can sway the public against USA’s effort to assist in killing bandits.

Let me educate u Nigeria. There is nothing Trump hates more than immigrants coming to his country. And he knows that any country that is destabilized, their citizens will want to move to the USA, so republicans and republican presidents will do anything in their power to make sure Nigeria is not destabilized.

Now Democrats are different. The more they destabilize other countries, the more they can take in their citizens, care for them, feed them, house them, so they can vote democrats in the future. That is how democrats secure votes.

Now you know the difference between the two parties.
This your view is ill-informed. Was George Bush a democrat? You don't understand USA's foreign policy. That country is well structured. It doesn't matter who is in office, certain objectives remain the same.

Trump is just a racist who wants only white immigrants. Every other thing remains the same. They are still destabilising other countries. What is the business of the CIA overseas? They are several reports and videos online by former agents.

Some of you don't read or care to know the truth. When you make a country inhabitable, the only sensible thing is for the people of that country to join you in your own country.

The USA only cares about maintaining its hegemony. They fund terrorists, force regime change and topple democratic governments. It is well documented. They don't want competition. So what are you talking about?

It is the height of naivety to think the USA cares about Nigeria or our interest. I don't expect them too either. No one is going to save us but ourselves. The USA is no ones messiah.

Politics › Re: President Can Declare Emergency, Suspend Elected Officials - Supreme Court Rules by BondRiv: 2:27pm On Dec 15, 2025
Nteogwuija:
Precedent is now set. Successive presidents have taken note.

On a second thought, why are our laws open to discretions and loopholes for circumvention?

Lawyers and others conversant with the law, could you be kind to educate us?
The Supreme Court has the power to overrule its previous decision. There is a precedent now, but it can change in the future. It depends on the circumstances of the case, not just the law. Procedurial misstep can lead to the loss of a case. Everything is important. Some laws are somewhat ambiguous, so in such situations, arguments will be made by lawyers from different perspectives to support their case. Just as our opinions differ, people can look at a law and analyse it based on their understanding. Ultimately, it is the judge that decides. Whatever the judge interprets is the law.
Business › Re: Petrol Price War Turns Dirty As Dangote Attacks NMDPRA Boss by BondRiv: 11:10am On Dec 15, 2025
We are still talking about those funding terrorism, why do we keep making "Farouks" in charge of different aspects of our oil sector? Same thing with defence. Look at the result.
Politics › Re: Emergency Declaration: What More Protection Did Fubara Expect From The PDP? by BondRiv: 10:47am On Dec 15, 2025
floss:
Fubara is weak and not a politician… but his current action is justifiable because he needs to complete his tenure…

His biggest mistake was riding on the back of Wike to become governor, he never won the election by his own efforts
How would he had won without Wike in the first place? Wike is the one that gave him the ambition to be a governor. Do you even understand that?Fubara was just a civil servant. In a thousand years, he wouldn't have won a governorship election in Rivers State. Not even an LGA election. Wike helped his life.

If you understand how these things work, you would know there is no extent these guys won't go to sell a narrative. Take 9/11 for example. Benjamin Netanyahu is desperate.

Funniest thing is people with highest educational qualifications are sat there in this church shouting amen
Educational qualifications do not stop gullibility or susceptibility to deception. There are educated people who still believe people go to the moon and all the crap NASA says. They got those false teachings in school. The system is corrupt. It is a worldwide phenomenon.

Now with regards to this, even by reading the Bible, the attributes of false prophets become clear. There is another fellow who released a song with the musician Flavour. Most people don't care about the truth, they want entertainment. The truth sets you free.

wisemaster:
You think you'll be fighting Burkina Faso. Have you heard about AES. Nigeria better not start what they cannot finish. Military onslaught is not by numbers but strategy.
We will be fighting Burkina Faso. We might as well end that their military rule, since they have refused to be reasonable. If others decide to join Burkina Faso, Nigeria has allies. We must bring those soldiers home.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Soldiers Spend Sixth Day In Burkina Faso Detention by BondRiv: 7:10pm On Dec 14, 2025
They are still being held? Does Burkina Faso want war? This is an outrage, and totally irresponsible on their part. President Tinubu must secure their release within the next 24 hours. Sometimes force is necessary, when diplomacy fails. Six days in detention is unacceptable for our military officers.

We need to change the way we do burials in Africa. That is one of the things I admire about the West. You mustn't eat and share stuff all the time. It is not a wedding. Mourn and go home.
Education › Re: Rivers State University Student Detained After Clash With DVC by BondRiv:
The impunity in Nigeria is something else. Why will the lecturer resort to violence? He is the one that should be arrested. The student must be released. Too bad NANS and SUGs are just concerned with power and nothing more.

One party state is finally becoming a reality. APC will operate without opposition. God Bless BAT.
Nothing like a one party state. There are other parties in Nigeria. ADC is another viable opposition party.
