Prayerfully search for a genotype compatible partner. The fear, stress and anxiety of having potential SS kids isn't worth it. Probability may not favour you. God is gradually sieving your future partner for you.

A PhD holder identified as Udoh Nse James is currently working as a labourer due to his inability to get a befitting job for someone with his qualifications.

His story was shared on LinkedIn by Engr Chinedu Eche who solicited for help for the man with a PhD in Econometrics, Masters and Bachelors degree in Accounting.

Eche revealed that he came across James at site where he was helping his team with the fabrication of Coastic Soda storage tank for Dangote Refinery.

He shared a photo of the PhD holder, and noted that he should be in an institute of learning or Research.

The Engr wrote;

No I meant to say the Golden Eaglets , which by the way , is their real nomenclature. The Nigerian under 23 team is rightly called Golden Eaglets. Olympic team , Dream teams or Olympic Dream team are just aliases.

My brother!!!!! I sincerely advocate that other schools should start posting theirs on social media. This will make the authorities sit up. School Authorities will be busy painting buildings and constructing gates meanwhile areas that affect the welfare of the students including rest rooms are left in this type of condition.
How do you expect people raised under this condition to effect positive change in the society.

Though I reside in Ile Ife, I listen mostly to NigeriaInfo 99.3 (Lagos). Morning Cross Fire and League of Extra ordinary Nigerians not to talk of Confession.

I do listen to stations here in Osun State (Rave fm, Crown fm) but I deliberately choose the programmes since most of the other presenter have poor command of the English Language.

Are there private universities that are exemplary? Certainly, but give the top Federal universities same funds & watch them blow those private universities out of the water...

Also, private universities are very regimented. In federal universities, no one has time to chase you for lectures or school activities or preps (imagine, preps in tertiary institutions) or insist you stay in hotels. All these things alone ensure you have to read.

In federal universities, you are expected to be responsible for yourself. The facilities, no matter how dilapidated they may be, are there for you.

Nice write up bro. I agree that many private universities administrators finished from Public universities but don't put away the effect of the environment on overall work output. You can relate that to a Nigerian that refuses to obey little regulations here in this country but then changes immediately he steps out. When you find yourself in a sane environment, your output will definitely improve.

The federal universities have more funding sources and opportunities compared to private universities but corruption within the public ivory towers will never allow them reach their optimal potentials.

You want to go to government Universities where you can't ever determine when you would graduate despite the already stipulated "years of study"on your admission letter despite the hardwork and finances you have committed into your studies.

I am a product from Ajayi Crowther University,Oyo and I am happy with my position in life.Alots of my friends got their first job at big corporation and still working till date. (KPMG and the rest)
Please ask anybody who had once attended any interview at KPMG about the toughness of the interview,only First Class and Second Class Upper are invited and please ask them if they were asked the University you graduated from at point of entry.
What you fail to understand is that there is a good Lecturers/students relationship in most Private Universities......the fear of failure is removed and you would concentrate on your studies with good discipline and hard work.
The expensive tuition fee of most Private Universities is majorly for the good accommodation and comfort for the students unlike the dilapidated structures with Government Universities.
May life not leave you behind with your "myopic analysis"

OAU that is still using clay to cover pot holes in this 21st century; nothing to write about the health centre, not to talk about rest room facilities even within class environments. So much over hyping and emptiness. If you want to know a school system that works, check the transcript application system and time taken to send it.

See my brother, even if OAU and may federal Universities charge one million per student, it will still be the same. What you do with the little you have is a pointer to what you will do with the plenty you are expecting.

I have schooled in one of the top 3 private universities in Nigeria and I have also schooled in one of the top 3 Federal Universities in Nigeria and I would tell you these private universities trump Federal universities in terms of quality of education.

The poor organization in Federal University is enough for a poor performance. After my studies in one i swore never again.

Seriously, he actually talked NONSENSE. So much teaching in OAU but very little learning acquired. No connection whatsoever between the academics and the real world. Outside OAU, many of these lecturers have nothing to offer other all these paper, paper, paper stories yet nothing tangible to contribute to the world.
OAU Agric Faculty is a perfect example of training students to be poor minded.

I really understand what you are getting at cos I initially told my sis to just go there and place a judgement on her and leave but after a while, when I remembered the whole scenario, my head just sparked because what if it was his nose or forehead that hit the table or worst still, what if he had died? This is not the first time. The boy still has a dark mark on his neck from the flogging she gave him. Now this. Each time I remember it, my heart just goes out to this boy because hes my twins son. He's just like my own son.

Do the parents of the school have a whatsapp. You can start by posting this complaints there including the marks on the boy's neck and all his mother faced when she tried addressing the issue. If that is not possible then take up the case with ministry's contact that was posted earlier. I think this so called teachers pouring out their frustrations on children has done more harm than good and should be arrested immediately. I am even more pained that a 5 years old boy is made to go through this trauma. To think that the school is even conniving to cover it up is more sickening.

Hello Nairaland Christians, have you for once wondered why you christains worship on Sundays and not the Sabbath day.

If you study your Bible well, you will realize that when GOD was done with his creations,he rested on the Seventh day and blessed it saying we should keep it holy.

Now, looking at the days of the week, the seventh day of the week is Saturday and not Sunday.Sunday is the first day of a new week.
So,why do we worship on Sundays and not the seventh day of the week?
Are we really following God's commandments at all or we are just deceiving ourselves?

Worship is a lifestyle and not something limited to a particular day or place. Why worship on a particular day and then do evil on other days. It doesn't make sense at all.
Until our worship is 24/7 and done everywhere, we are wasting our time.
